Results : This experiment showed the result that the amount of semen increased by adding Aliium sativum to Ojayeonjonghwan in the case of men in their 20s, but did not show a statistically significant result. It showed the result that the amount of semen increased by a statistically significant level as well as the activity of sperm. Consequently, the result indicated that orally administering the extract added Aliium sativum to Ojayeonjonghwan increased the amount of semen, the number and the activity of sperm for men in their 20s. Men in their 40s who are feeling a decline in energy generally decreased the amount of semen, the number and the ratio of activity of sperm. However the amount of semen remarkably increased and the number and the activity of sperm increased but the result was not statistically significant after orally administering the test drug for thirty days. Conclution : Eventually, the result after orally administering the test drug to the group of men in their 20s and 40s for thirty days indicated that both groups increased the amount of semen, number of sperm and activity of sperm to a statistically significant degree.
The study aimed to investigate the influence of perceived patient safety culture on patient safety management activity in the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 292 dental hygienists in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido from March 1 to April 8, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (9 items), patient safety culture (44 items), and patient safety management activity (25 items) by Likert 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by t test, one way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression test, and post-hoc Tukey test using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The perceived patient safety culture was 3.50 on average. Entire organization was the highest score (3.68) and followed the communication process (3.55), the environment of work unit (3.47), the attitude of supervisor/manager (3.45), and the frequency of events reported (2.98). The average of patient safety management activity was 3.71. As for the factors of patient safety culture on patient safety management activity, communication process was the most influential factor (${\beta}=0.268$), and followed the entire organization (${\beta}=0.265$), the environment of work unit (${\beta} =0.166$), the frequency of events reported (${\beta}=0.104$), and among the control variables. Work place proved to be the only significant variable. Conclusions: In order to promote patient safety management activity of dental institutions, the patient safety culture should be created and established. The influence of communication process and patient safety culture at entire organization level was huge. So the environment of work unit and the perceived patient safety culture in the process of reported events were influencing factors. The strategy for patient safety management activity should be considered because of low level of perceived patient safety culture.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate quality of sleep and heart rate variability by the physical activity in high school students. Following conclusions are obtained after examining the relation between Dentocult LB, Dentocult SM, Dentobuff strip test results and DMFT index, salivary secretion rate. 1. Showed no significant difference between Dentocult LB test results and DMFT index, salivary secretion rate. 2. Showed no significant difference between Dentocult SM(screening strip) test results and DMFT index, salivary secretion rate. 3. Showed significant difference between Dentocult SM(site strip) test results and DMFT index(pE0.05), but showed no significant difference between Dentocult SM(site strip) test results and salivary secretion rate. 4. Showed no significant difference between Dentobuff strip test results and DMFT index, but showed a very wide difference between Dentobuff strip test results and salivary secretion rate(pE0.01).
Purpose: This study was designed to examine fear of falling, depression, physical fitness, and physical activity and further to identify the factors that predict physical activity among community dwelling elders. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey. Participants were 153 community dwelling elders from G city. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and multinominal logistic regression analysis. The pet ether extract of Caesalpinia pulcherrima, leaves was studied for its antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic property. The extract at doses of 50 and 200 mg/kg, p.o., significantly (p<0.05) reduced the number of writhing induced by acetic acid and inhibited the late phase (20-30 min) in formalin test in mice. The extract failed to increase the pain threshold level in tail immersion test in mice. In carrageenan induced paw edema in rats and in acetic acid induced increase in vascular permeability test in mice, the extract (50-600 mg/kg, p.o.) failed to produce any significant activity. While in cotton pellet granuloma test, the extract at doses of 200 and 600 mg/kg (p.o.) significantly (p<0.05) reduced the granuloma formation and was comparable to reference drug, dexamethasone. In ethylpheylpropiolate ear edema test 0.5 mg and 1 mg/ear application of extract significantly (p<0.05) inhibited ear edema. In yeast induced hyperthermia in rats, the extract did not produce any reduction in temperature. The results suggest that the extract acts peripherally to produce analgesic action and anti-inflammatory activity through steroidal mechanism.
