고온 및 하중에 따른 섬유혼입 콘크리트의 잔존역학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Residual Mechanical Properties of Fiber Mixed Concrete with High Temperature and Load)

  • Recently, the effects of high temperature and fiber content on the residual mechnical properties of high-strength concrete were experimentally investigated. In this paper, residual mechanical properties of concrete with water to cement (w/c) ratios of 55%, 42% and 32% exposed to high temperature are compared with those obtained in fiber reinforced concretes of similar characteristics with the ranging of 0,05% to 0,20% polypropylene (PP) fibers by volume of concrete, and considered factors include pre-load levels (20% and 40% of the maximum load at room temperature). Outbreak time and water contents were tested and were determined the compressive strength. In the result, it is showed that to prevent the explosive spalling of 50MPa grade concretes exposed to high temperature need more than 0.05Vol.% PP fibers. Also, the cross-sectional area of PP fiber can influence on the residual mechanical properties and the spalling tendency of fiber reinforced concrete exposed to high temperature. Especially, the external loading increases not only the residual mechanical properties of concrete but also the risk of spalling and the brittle tendency.

분뇨처리(糞尿處理) : 혐기성소화(嫌氣性消化) 온도영향(溫度影響) (Nightsoil Treatment: Temperature Effects on Anaerobic Digestion)

  • 본연구(本硏究)는 다절기(多節期)에는 저온(低溫)으로 하절기(夏節期)에는 고온(高溫)으로 혐기성(嫌氣性) 소화조(消化槽)를 운전(運轉)시킬 수 있는지를 검토(檢討)하기 위한 것으로 실험실(實驗室) 완전혼합형(完全混合型) 혐기성(嫌氣性) 소화조(消化槽)를 $18.5^{\circ}C$ 부터 $60^{\circ}C$까지의 11단계(段階)의 온도(溫度)에서 유기물질(有機物質)의 제거효율(除去効率) 가스생산량(生産量)을 서로 비교(比較)하였다. $35^{\circ}{\sim}40^{\circ}C$ 내외(內外)에서 BOD와 VS 제거효율(除去効率)은 각각(各各) 71%와 53%였으며 이 온도(溫度)에 있어서 가스생산량(生産量)은 주입분뇨량(注入糞尿量)의 16배(倍) 또는 $0.63m^3gas/kg$ VS fed 였다. 화조(消化槽) 유출수(流出水)를 심전(沈殿)시키면 BOD제거효율(除去効率)은 78%까지 상계(上界)하였다. 본실험(本實驗)의 결과(結果)는 $32^{\circ}$에서 $47^{\circ}C$로 운전(運轉)시킨 기존(旣存) 분뇨처리장(糞尿處理場)의 결과(結果)와 $40^{\circ}C$까지는 비교적(比較的) 잘 맞았으나 $40^{\circ}C$ 이상(以上)에서는 실험실(實驗室) 결과(結果)가 처리효율(處理効率)이나 가스생산량(生産量)으로 볼 때 양호(良好)하였다. 분뇨(糞尿)에 정화조폐액(淨化槽廢液)이나 우분(牛糞) 혼합처리(混合處理) 가능성(可能性) 검토(檢討)하였는데 1:1로 혼합처리(混合處理)시켰을 때의 BOD제거효율(除去効率)이나 가스생산량(生産量)이 분뇨(糞尿)만의 처리시(處理時)와 별로 차이(差異)가 없었다. 한편 혐기성(嫌氣性) 소화조(消化槽)의 유출수(流出水)를 희석(稀釋)없이 호기성처리(好氣性處理)도 가능(可能)한지 알아 보았는데 이때의 BOD와 SS제거효율(除去効率)은 98% 이상(以上)이었다.

Dynamic bending response of SWCNT reinforced composite plates subjected to hygro-thermo-mechanical loading

  • The dynamic bending response of single walled carbon nanotube reinforced composite (SWCNTRC) plates subjected to hygro-thermo-mechanical loading are investigated in this paper. The mechanical load is considered as wind pressure for dynamic bending responses of SWCNTRC plate. The dynamic version of the High Order shear deformation Theory (HSDT) for a composite plate with Matrix and SWCNTRC plate is first formulated. Distribution of fibers through the thickness of the SWCNTRC plate could be uniform or functionally graded (FG). The dynamic displacement response is predicted by using Nemarck integration method. The effective material properties of SWCNTRC are estimated by using micromechanics based modeling approach. The effect of different environmental condition, volume fraction of SWCNT, Width-to-thickness ratio, wind pressure, different SWCNTRC-FG plates, boundary condition, E1/E2 ratio, different temperature on dynamic displacement response is investigated. The dynamic displacement response is compared with the available literature and it shows good agreement.

Bio 필터를 이용한 Toluene 제거에서 미생물분해에 관한 연구 (A Study on Microbial Degradation for Removal of Toluene Vapour by Biofilter)

  • A biological filter for treatment of toluene among volatile organic compounds was studied. The investigation was conducted using specially built stainless steel columns packed with granular activated carbon and cold for removal of toluene. The G.A. and mold as filter material was also coated with Pseudomonas putida microorganisms.The biofilter unit was operated in the condition of moisture content vairation at gas loading rate of 12.5 l/min. Gaseous toluene taken from tedlar bag was analyzed by the use of G.C equipped with F.I.d detector. The removal efficiency of gaseous toluene was 95% at average inlet concentration of 950 ppm during bio-degradation operating condition. Effective removal efficiency was obtained with moisture content 27.5% at activated carbon and 32% at mold in this study. The effective operating condition were obtained with pH 6-8, temperature 28-42℃ for microbial degradation at gas loading rate of 12.5 l/min in packed material.

Nylon 66의 무비례 하중에 대한 과응력 모델 (An Overstress Model for Non-proportional Loading of Nylon 66)

  • Non-proportional loading tests of Nylon 66 at room temperature exhibit path dependent behavior and plasticity-relaxation interactions. The uniaxial formulation of the viscoplasticity theory based on overstress (VBO), which has been used to reproduce the nonlinear strain rate sensitivity, relaxation, significant recovery and cyclic softening behaviors of Nylon 66, is extended to three-dimensions to predict the response in strain-controlled, comer-path tests. VBO consists of a flow law that is easily written for either the stress or the strain as the independent variable. The flow law depends on the overstress, the difference between the stress and the equilibrium stress that is a state variable in VBO. The evolution law of the equilibrium stress in turn contains two additional state variables, the kinematic stress and the isotropic stress. The simulations show that the constitutive model is competent at modeling the deformation behavior of Nylon 66 and other solid polymers.

귀금속 계열 촉매의 수성가스전환반응특성과 유효인자 (Noble metal catalysts for water gas shift reaction and their effectiveness factor)

  • Water gas shift(WGS) is an important step in fuel process for fuel cells, and improperness of commercial WGS catalysts for use in fuel cell systems has prompted numerous researches on noble metal catalysts. A selected noble metal catalyst for water gas shift reaction(WGS) was prepared with various metal loadings. The prepared catalysts were tested under two feeding conditions. At moderate residence time, carbon monoxide conversion was much higher on the noble metal catalysts as compared to commercial high-temperature shift catalyst. Effects of metal loading were examined by activity tests at short residence time. Higher metal loading effected higher reaction rate. The kinetic data was fitted to simple reaction equations and effectiveness factor was estimated. The results suggest the necessity of a structural design for the highly active noble metal catalysts.

열탄소성 해석에 의한 잔류응력의 계산 (Calculation of residual stresses by thermal elasto-plastic analysis)

  • Welding residual stresses were calculated by two dimensional thermal elasto-plastic analysis using element method. Complicated plastic behavior during heat transfer was simulated with time. Fist, temperature distributions. To consider time varying behavior of material properties and loading and unloading processes, iterative calculation based on initial stiffness method was carried out. The method proposed by Yamata was used in time increment control which determined the accuracy of claculation. comparison with other caculated and experimental results shows fairly good agreement.

  • An automotive wheel bearing is one of the most important components to guarantee the service life of a passenger car. The endurance lift of a bearing is affected by many parameters such as material properties, heat treatment, lubrication conditions, temperature, loading conditions, geometry, internal clearance and so on. Under the same geometry and loading conditions, the internal clearance is the most effective parameters on the endurance lift of a bearing. Generally, bearings have the longest lift with a little negative internal clearance. But it is very difficult to measure and modify the internal clearance after a wheel bearing is assembled. In this paper, we analyze the effect of an assembling procedure on the clearance of wheel bearings and suggest a method to determine optimal clearance for automotive wheel bearings by selecting initial bearing clearance.

산불에 의한 활선선로의 이도변화 거동 (Temperature and Load Change behavior of Overhead Conductor under loading current due to Forest Fire)

  • The authors have published several technical reports on the deterioration of conductor due to forest fire in series so far. This is because even we have been experiencing hundreds of forest fires every year, no systematic research on conductor which is very vulnerable to fire have been fulfilled. This paper describes the sag-tension behavior of conductor under loading current normally when only partial area of a long conductor is exposed to fire. Temperaures of Overhead Conductor were different with measurement position. When the partial area of conductor was heated up to $500^{\circ}C$, 20 % of permanent tension loss was observed. This results in the increase of sag of 1.5 m when span is 300 m. The other results will be presented in the text.

화력발전소 증기터빈용 12Cr 강의 저주기 피로거동 (Low Cycle Fatigue Behavior of 12Cr Steel for Thermal Power Plant Steam Turbine)

  • In this study low cycle fatigue (LCF) behavior of 12Cr steel at high temperature are described. Secondly, comparisons between predicted lives and experimental lives are made for the several sample life prediction models. Two minute hold period in either tension or compression reduce the number of cycles to failure by about a factor of two. Twenty minute hold periods in compression lead to shorter lives than 2 minute hold periods in compression. Experiments showed that life predictions from classical phenomenological models have limitations. More LCF experiments should be pursued to gain understanding of the physical damage mechanisms and to allow the development of physically-based models which can enhance the accuracy of the predictions of components. From a design point-of-view, life prediction has been judged acceptable for these particular loading conditions but extrapolations to thermo-mechanical fatigue loading, for example, require more sophisticated models including physical damage mechanisms.
