A technique for analyzing laterally loaded piles was developed in order to accommodate various loading conditions and unique p-y curves obtained from local site. Developed technique was applied to several problems associated with laterally loaded piles to confirm the reliability of the developed technique. And the influences of the parameters considered in the applications on analysis results were investigated. It can be seen that length of the increment of one half of pile diameter is optimum for accuracy of analysis. Problems associated with safe penetration of pile and buckling of a free standing pile were analyzed by the developed technique. Also, analysis results obtained from considering various pile head conditions of a pile which supports retaining wall were compared. The developed technique can be used as a more flexible tool for analyzing laterally loaded piles than commercial program.
This paper presents a new technique of mathematical treatment using a finite element model for analyzing the vibration of the towed line array. Since the towed line array has the axisymmetricity, axisymmetric elements are used in finite element modeling for the towed array structure. The fluid-structure interaction is also considered. The array consists of a series of identical substructures which can include internal structures such as spacers, hydrophones and ropes. That periodicity of substrucutres permits the substructure synthesis technique using characteristic wave guide for analyzing the response of towed array system. This synthesis technique can reduce the cost of computing the array response. It is suggested that a response of towed array can be computed by the finite element method and substructure synthesis technique using wave guide. Several experiments for towed array were performed to verify the present computation technique. The predicted vibration for the towed array shows good agreement with the measured result.
A gas chromatographic oil fingerprinting method is a technique used for comparative source identification of spilled oil. The hydrocarbon and sulfur compound analysis by gas chromatography are generally used for analyzing oils. However, due to the complexity of oils, another technique is also needed for comparative identification. In this study, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons contained in crude oil and heavy fuel oil are analyzed by gas chromatography. They are relatively unaffected by weathering condition because they are stable. The oil fingerprinting of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by GC seems to be a reliable technique for analyzing oils in identification of sources and kinds of oils.
This paper presents a flexible finite-difference technique for analyzing the nonuniform guiding structures. Because the voltage and current variations along the nonuniform structure differ for each segment, this work considers the adaptable discretization steps. This technique increases the accuracy of the final response. Moreover, by applying the singular value decomposition and discarding the nonprincipal singular values, an optimal lower rank approximation of the discretization matrix is obtained. The computational cost of the introduced method is significantly reduced using the optimal discretization matrix. Also, the proposed method can be extended to the nonuniform waveguides. The technique is verified by analyzing several practical transmission lines and waveguides with nonuniform profiles.
Recently the Personal Computer hacking and game hacking for the purpose of gaining an economic profit is increased in Windows system. Malicious code often uses methods which inject dll or code into memory in target process for using covert channel for communicating among them, bypassing secure products like personal firewalls and obtaining sensitive information in system. This paper analyzes the technique for injecting and executing code into memory area in target process. In addition, this analyzes the PE format and IMPORT table for extracting injected dll in running process in affected system and describes a method for extracting and analyzing explicitly loaded dll files related with running process. This technique is useful for finding and analyzing infected processes in affected system.

In this paper, we propose a technique for spatially encrypting confidential data into R, G, B planes of color image and extracting spatially encrypted confidential data. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is verified by mathematically analyzing the quality of the stego-image generated using the proposed technique. The proposed technique can hide confidential data securely into cover image by spatially encrypting the confidential data, and can extract confidential data from the stego-image. The quality of the stego-image created by applying the proposed technique is very good. The average value of the quality of the stego-image is 51.14 dB. Therefore, it is not visually recognizable whether the confidential data is hidden in the stego-image. The proposed technique can be widely used for military and intellectual property protection.
A stabilizer link connects the stabilizer bar to the lower arm of the suspension. When a vehicle is turning, lateral forces from the tire are transmitted through the stabilizer link into the stabilizer bar. The stabilizer bar will twist, thus adding rigidity to the vehicle body. In this study, the stabilizer link body was manufactured by using composite material with POM-GF25%. Therefore, the strength evaluation of stability link body with composite material carried out from tensile, wear and fatigue test. The tensile strength between the stability link body with composite material and the rod with knurling was the largest of four types of rod. In Analyzing materials property using optical sensing technique of stabilizer link for automobile parts, its has been identified the safety.

With the growth of BiCMOS technology in ASIC design, the issue of analyzing fault characteristics and testing techniques for BiCMOS circuits become more important In this paper, we analyze the fault models and characteristics of high speed full-swing BiCMOS circuits and the DFT technique to enhance the testability of full-swing high speed BiCMOS circuits is discussed. The SPICE simulation is used to analyze faults characteristics and to confirm the validity of DFT technique.

A novel technique was proposed to calculate fluxes accurately by separation of flow area into a part of step face which is dominated by flow resistance of it and an upper part which is relatively less affected by the step face in analyzing shallow-water flows over discontinuous topography. This technique gives fairly good agreement with exact solutions, 3D simulations, and experimental results. It has been possible to directly analyze shallow-water flows over discontinuous topography by the technique developed in this study. It is expected to apply the developed technique to accurate evaluation of overflows over weirs or retaining walls (riverside roads) and areas flooded by the inundation in the city covered in discontinuous topography.

This paper presents an asymptotic analysis method using the PO(physical optics) approximation technique to analyze the scattering contribution of an electrically large object partially coated with a radar absorbing material(RAM). By using the feature of the PO technique that can calculate the equivalent current value for each mesh independently, instead of analyzing the entire structure, scattering analysis was performed only by calculating the current on the area where the RAM coating is applied. By the numerical examples, the accuracy and the computation time of the proposed method were verified, and the computational efficiency of inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) of the electrically large objects that require enormous resources is improved.
