  • Nowadays there are practically no mathematical courses in which Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) programs, such as MATHEMATlCA, Maple, and TI-89/92, are not used to some extent. However, generally the usage of these programs is reduced to illustration of computing processes: calculation of integrals, differentiation, solution of various equations, etc. This is obtained by usage of standard command of type: Solve [...] in MATHEMATICA. At the same time the main difficulties arise at teaching nonconventional mathematical courses such as coding theory, discrete mathematics, cryptography, Scientific computing, which are gaining the increasing popularity now. Now it is impossible to imagine a modern engineer not having basic knowledge in discrete mathematics, Cryptography, coding theory. Digital processing of signals (digital sound, digital TV) has been introduced in our lives.

  • Given the increasing of adoption of the SCM(Supply Chain Management), especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, this study aims at identifying the key influencing factors of small and medium-sized enterprises' SCM adoption. Based on prior research on innovation diffusion theory, TPB(Theory of Planned Behavior), and IT/EDI adoption in various organizations, a model of SCM adoption has been developed and empirically tested hypotheses based on the model. The model was tested using LISREL analysis on the sample collected from 127 small and medium-sized enterprises' top management. The results show that perceived behavioral control is found to have a significant positive effect on adoption intention, and attitude and subjective norm are also important determinants of SCM adoption intention in small and medium-sized enterprises. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • Virtual Communities are many and varied have been around for a number of years now. Cyworld has all the makings of a successful website, with its unique and profitable business model. Our purpose in studying Cyworld is two fold ; we want to know the motivations people have for using the service and why they are willing to pay to use it. This study is based on motivation theory and flow theory to enhance our understanding of Cyworld user's behavior.

  • The diffusion coefficients in polyimide/N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) systems were proposed using tile Vrentas-Duda's hole free volume theory. Several free volume parameters included in the diffusion coefficients were obtained from the fundamental physical properties of polyimide and NMP and group contribution theory, and the pre-exponential diffusion coefficient, D$_{0}$ was also determined from the dynamic swelling behavior of polyimide in NMP solution. The experimental swelling behavior of polyimide films in NMP was well described by the theoretical one using the proposed diffusion coefficient.t.

  • This paper deals with the enhancement of the complex potential navigation for wheeled mobile robots. The circle theorem from complex function theory is used to avoid an obstacle, and the enhancement to avoid multiple obstacles is proposed. The limit cycle navigation can be combined for robot to kick the ball to the intentioned direction. Avoiding step and superposing twin vortices can be applied to adjust the direction of robot's trajectory. The proposed method is verified through a set of simulation works, and the feasibilities for the enhancement of complex potential theory are successful.

  • This study adopts diffusion of innovation theory and analyses product life cycle on two different information communication technology (ICT) products. One is telematics located on introduction and the other one is MP3 located on maturity. The analytical results were mixed. ordinary least square (OLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by white noise error ($\varepsilon$) and telematics is influenced by innovation effect (p coefficient) rather than imitation effect (q coefficient) or white noise error. However, nonlinear least square (NLS) result showed that adoption of MP3 player is affected by imitation effect (q coefficient) rather than innovation effect (p coefficient). In addition, the ratio of imitation effect/innovation effect of MP3 player is larger than that of telematics.

  • The purpose of this research is to explore the causality of autonomy, competence, and relatedness which are major variables in self-determination theory. This study examines factors affecting intrinsic motivation, which also influences reality, flow, trust, and loyalty. The results firstly indicates that competence and relatedness positively influence reality and autonomy positively influences flow. Secondly, competence significantly influences reality and doesn't significantly influences flow. Thirdly, relatedness significantly influences reality and doesn't significantly influenced flow. Fourthly, reality doesn't significantly influences trust. Fifthly, flow significantly influences trust. Also, above results show that reality influences flow, and reality doesn't directly influence trust and loyalty. However, loyalty significantly influences flow.

  • This paper reviews recent published works dealing with the application of wavelets to image processing based on multiresolution analysis. After revisiting the basics of wavelet transform theory, various applications of wavelets and multiresolution analysis are reviewed, including image denoising, image enhancement, super-resolution, and image compression. In addition, we introduce the concept and theory of quaternion wavelets for the future advancement of wavelet transform and quaternion multiresolution applications.

  • In this paper we will discuss a type of inductive learning called learning from examples, whose task is to induce general descriptions of concepts from specific instances of these concepts. In many real life situations however new instances can be added to the set of instances. It is first proposed within the framework of rough set theory, for such cases, an algorithm to find minimal set of rules for decision tables without recalculation for overall set of instances. The method of learning presented here is based on a rough set concept proposed by Pawlak[2]. It is shown an algorithm to fund minimal set of rules using reduct change theorems giving criteria for minimum recalculation and an illustrative example.

  • Compliance with information security policies has been an important managerial concern in organizations. Unlike traditional general deterrent theory, this study proposes whistle-blowing as an alternative approach for reducing internal information security policy violations. We build on the theories of planned behavior and rational choice as well as develop a theoretical model to understand the factors that influence whistle-blowing attitudes and intention at both the organizational and individual levels. Our empirical results reveal that altruistic and egoistic concerns are involved in the development of whistle-blowing attitudes. The results not only extend our understanding of whistle-blowing motivation but also offer directions to managers in promoting internal disclosure of information security breaches.
