  • Scientific space, one can observe the differentiation of the definition of the terms "value", "value orientations" because it does not yet have a clear standard definition. Many researchers have dealt with this topic, researched, analyzed, observed, and made conclusions. However, there is still a rich scope for research of such phenomena of personal structure as value orientations. Psychologists-researchers who, in their scientific, practical, and theoretical works, dealt with the topic of values and value orientations and came to the general conclusion that values are a structural component of a personality, with the help of which a person achieves a goal, sets this goal, and characterizes position in life. Saw the relationship between values and the basic structures of the personality, including value orientations-considered in values a system of orientation and personality attitudes.

DNA Sequences Compression using Repeat technique and Selective Encryption using modified Huffman's Technique

  • The DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) database size increases tremendously transmuting from millions to billions in a year. Ergo for storing, probing the DNA database requires efficient lossless compression and encryption algorithm for secure communication. The DNA short pattern repetitions are of paramount characteristics in biological sequences. This algorithm is predicated on probing exact reiterate, substring substitute by corresponding ASCII code and engender a Library file, as a result get cumulating of the data stream. In this technique the data is secured utilizing ASCII value and engendering Library file which acts as a signature. The security of information is the most challenging question with veneration to the communication perspective. The selective encryption method is used for security purpose, this technique is applied on compressed data or in the library file or in both files. The fractional part of a message is encrypted in the selective encryption method keeping the remaining part unchanged, this is very paramount with reference to selective encryption system. The Huffman's algorithm is applied in the output of the first phase reiterate technique, including transmuting the Huffman's tree level position and node position for encryption. The mass demand is the minimum storage requirement and computation cost. Time and space complexity of Repeat algorithm are O(N2) and O(N). Time and space complexity of Huffman algorithm are O(n log n) and O(n log n). The artificial data of equipollent length is additionally tested by this algorithm. This modified Huffman technique reduces the compression rate & ratio. The experimental result shows that only 58% to 100% encryption on actual file is done when above 99% modification is in actual file can be observed and compression rate is 1.97bits/base.

Experimental Study of Spacecraft Pose Estimation Algorithm Using Vision-based Sensor

  • This paper presents a vision-based relative pose estimation algorithm and its validation through both numerical and hardware experiments. The algorithm and the hardware system were simultaneously designed considering actual experimental conditions. Two estimation techniques were utilized to estimate relative pose; one was a nonlinear least square method for initial estimation, and the other was an extended Kalman Filter for subsequent on-line estimation. A measurement model of the vision sensor and equations of motion including nonlinear perturbations were utilized in the estimation process. Numerical simulations were performed and analyzed for both the autonomous docking and formation flying scenarios. A configuration of LED-based beacons was designed to avoid measurement singularity, and its structural information was implemented in the estimation algorithm. The proposed algorithm was verified again in the experimental environment by using the Autonomous Spacecraft Test Environment for Rendezvous In proXimity (ASTERIX) facility. Additionally, a laser distance meter was added to the estimation algorithm to improve the relative position estimation accuracy. Throughout this study, the performance required for autonomous docking could be presented by confirming the change in estimation accuracy with respect to the level of measurement error. In addition, hardware experiments confirmed the effectiveness of the suggested algorithm and its applicability to actual tasks in the real world.

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자가 2차원 또는 3차원 상에서 필기를 하는 경우의 관성치를 측정할 수 있는 가속도계와 각속도계를 장착한 펜형 입력 장치를 소개한다. 각속도계의 측정치를 한 번 적분해 시스템의 자세를 구하며 이는 가속도에 포함되어 있는 중력 가속도 성분을 제거하는 데 사용된다. 시스템의 위치는 보정된 가속도를 두 번 적분해 구한다. 이러한 원리는 관성 항법 시스템에서 보편적으로 사용되는 것이다. 그러나 필기 궤적을 복원하기 위해 사용되는 이중 적분 과정으로 인해 위치 측정치의 정확도는 시간이 지남에 따라 심각하게 떨어진다. 이러한 문제는 관성 항법 시스템에 있어 일반적인 경우이며 통상 외부의 기준 신호나 기타 정보를 이용한 주기적 또는 비주기적인 시스템의 교정을 통해 해결된다. 본 논문에서는 위치 및 속도의 보정은 온라인과 오프라인 교정 과정을 통해 이루어진다. 온라인 교정 과정에서는 칼만 필터를 이용한 보상 필터 기법을 사용한다. 오프라인 교정 과정에서는 최종적인 시스템의 항법 오차의 상수 성분을 속도 정보와 움직임 검지 알고리듬을 통해 제거한다. 실제 실험을 통해 제안된 시스템의 유용성과 효용성을 보인다.

실감형 보드게임 시스템과 PGA (Augmented Reality Board Game System and PGA)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 형태의 실감형 보드게임환경과 사용자에게 필요한 게임 전략을 제공하여 줄 수 있는 PGA(portable game assistant)를 제안한다. 기존의 실감형 보드게임 제작은 바둑게임 말의 위치를 인식하기 위하여 고가의 RFID 기술을 사용하고, 게임의 화면을 제공하기 위하여 증강현실이나 가상현실을 이용한다. 하지만 RFID 기술은 고가이며, 증강현실과 가상현실은 실제감을 주기는 하지만 데이터글러브, 전자펜, HMD 등의 보조 장치를 필요로 하고 이러한 장비는 고가이며, 사용 시 불편하다는 단점이 있다. 본 시스템에서는 게임 화면에 동적이고 화려한 그래픽을 지원하기 위하여 모니터를 사용하며, 바둑게임의 말을 컴퓨터 비젼 기술을 사용하여 인식한다. 또한 모바일을 사용하여 사용자의 조작에 의해 쉽게 전략을 짤 수 있는 PGA를 제공한다. PGA를 통하여 전체적인 게임 진행상황과 앞으로의 전략적인 계획을 세워줌으로써 사용자에게 게임의 습득 속도와 재미를 더욱 충족시켜 주는 것을 목적으로 한다.

맵 매칭 알고리즘을 이용한 실내 위치 추정 정확도 개선에 대한 연구 (A Study on Improving Indoor Positioning Accuracy Using Map Matching Algorithm)

  • Due to the unavailability of global positioning system (GPS) indoors, various indoor pedestrian positioning methods have been designed to estimate the position of the user using received signal strength (RSS) measurements from radio beacons, such as wireless fidelity (WiFi) access points and Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons. In indoor environments, radio-frequency (RF) signals are unpredictable and change over space and time because of multipath associated with reflection and refraction, shadow fading caused by obstacles, and interference among different devices using the same frequencies. Therefore, the outliers in the positional information obtained from the indoor positioning method based on RSS measurements occur often. For this reason, the performance of the positioning method can be degraded by the characteristics of the RF signal. To resolve this issue, a map-matching (MM) algorithm based on maximum probability (MP) estimation is applied to the indoor positioning method in this study. The MM algorithm locates the aberrant position of the user estimated by the positioning method within the limits of the adjacent pedestrian passages. Empirical experiments show that the positioning method can achieve higher positioning accuracy by leveraging the MM algorithm.

실내 환경의 공간조도 검출을 위한 이미지센서모듈 (Image Sensor Module for Detecting Space Illuminance in Indoor Environment)

  • 기존 단일 조도센서를 이용한 조도검출 방식은 좁은 FOV (Field of View) 특성 상 측정 위치에 따라 검출 조도의 균일도가 저하된다. 다수개의 조도센서를 통해 평균 조도값을 검출하는 방법은 복잡도 증가 및 계산과정에서 오류가 증가하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 넓은 FOV를 가지는 하나의 이미지센서를 기반으로 한 조도검출 방법을 제안하였으며, 제안된 방법은 기존 조도센서가 가지는 시스템 복잡도, 오류 증가 등의 문제점이 해결 가능하다. 실내 환경에서의 성능평가 결과는 색차조도계 (CL-200A)를 이용한 기준값 대비 조도센서가 1개인 경우 평균 12%, 조도센서가 5개인 경우 평균 10.7%, 이미지센서의 경우 평균 6.2% 차이가 발생하는 것을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 이미지센서를 기반으로 한 제안된 검출방법은 균일성이 향상된 공간조도를 간단하고 정확하게 검출할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

실내 이동 로봇을 위한 자연 표식과 인공 표식을 혼합한 위치 추정 기법 개발 (Development of Localization using Artificial and Natural Landmark for Indoor Mobile Robots)

  • The localization of the robot is one of the most important factors of navigating mobile robots. The use of featured information of landmarks is one approach to estimate the location of the robot. This approach can be classified into two categories: the natural-landmark-based and artificial-landmark-based approach. Natural landmarks are suitable for any environment, but they may not be sufficient for localization in the less featured or dynamic environment. On the other hand, artificial landmarks may generate shaded areas due to space constraints. In order to improve these disadvantages, this paper presents a novel development of the localization system by using artificial and natural-landmarks-based approach on a topological map. The proposed localization system can recognize far or near landmarks without any distortion by using landmark tracking system based on top-view image transform. The camera is rotated by distance of landmark. The experiment shows a result of performing position recognition without shading section by applying the proposed system with a small number of artificial landmarks in the mobile robot.

3D작업 수행을 위한 string형 원격 제어기 개발 (The Development of String type Tele-operation Controller for 3D Environment)

  • A master-slave system for tele-operation had been developed and tested for several decades. In this paper the master robot is composed of several wires and provides position information of the handle which is driven by a operator within the master robot work space. A PC is used for the command calculation for a slave robot. This paper deals with the relation between the number of strings and D.O.F of the master robot, control method of the slave robot during the operation and the monitoring method over the working area by the computer graphics simulation. The D.O.F of the master robot can be modified by adding or subtracting some strings. The controller of the slave robot uses the advanced PD control method to keep the performance against varying working load.

항해용 레이더를 이용한 파랑 모니터링 시스템 개발 (Development of a Wave Monitoring System Using a Marine Radar)

  • In the ocean engineering field, information about the ocean environment is important for planning, design, and operation, especially the wave information. High precision wave data is also important for considering environmental problems, like efficient operation of ships. For this purpose, many methods were considered in the past. However, an on-board directing wave measurement system has not been incorporated. The use of conventional marine radar Plane Position Indicator (PPI) images allows the estimation of wave information on a real-time basis, using both space and time information, regarding the evolution of ocean surface waves. In order to achieve data acquisition, the Radar Scan Converter (RSC) has been developed. Three-dimensional analysis was performed. The comparison of wave information derived from this system, and that of wave buoy, shows that this wave field detecting system can be a useful tool.
