This has been now investigated how the leading innovator has changed the periphery countries. Research design, data, and methodology - Analyze policy, status, what other neighbouring Middle East countries also want to benchmark a successful case of a leading Dubai strategy. Higher manpower is needed absolutely to develop S&T. and etc. Dubai and Arab countries establish university to nurture as well as invite the talented manpower from overseas to recover deficient manpower. Dubai built totally academy city and invited branch of the overseas famous university, and Saudi Arabia built university(KAUST) and invite faculty and support good scholarship for students. Abrab countries especially, This is studied the process of differentiating and integrating the migrant workers of these cities into the globalized cities. This has resulted in large-scale employment for foreign and local companies in these cities and the spread of science and innovation. Results - Dubai supports venture or SMEs by using a strong priority strategy and attracts foreigner's investor, with which the neighbouring countries have been preparing together for 4th wave. It demonstrates that the gravitational model has been activated from neighboring countries of innovation science to create Dubai's hub. The maturity of long-term urban innovation is related to innovation capability through the national response and review. As a result, the flow of skilled international migration has been localized because of the mutual intersection with the local employment structure, and the development has spread as it spreads to neighboring countries. Conclusion - For the exploiting of new Distribution market in the neighbouring countries, Middle East countries' a strong priority strategy on S&T and education system give an influence on economic situation of the 4th wave in the world and world order of leading by USA, Japan, or EU, and etc. This is due to the creation of clusters in the form of SEZs, friendly industrial policies and world-class infrastructure and innovation development. Its goal is to benefit the nation by reducing cost and time in constructing the National e-Science Research Environment' by studying and benchmarking the cases in countries that have already procured advanced technologies in the area. Two joint workshops were held in a year where researchers from the two countries had the opportunities to share their research results with each other. Also, the project has supported exchanges of researchers fostering expertise in the field. In the course of the project, the e-Science Centre in the UK and KISTI have signed MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) in 2006. Moreover, there have been active research collaboration between Korea and the UK. The University of Southampton will share the BioSimGrid data with the Korean counterpart, and the University of York has provided the AURA software. In the future, KISTI and the UK NGS(National Grid Service) will organize a working group at OGF that will work mainly on the standardization of Parameter Sweep and bring it to lead the global standard. KISTI will include its own AURORA system into OMI-UK software stack, which will enable access to NGS resources through AURORA user application. The collaboration with the UK has opened up more opportunities for collaboration with other countries as well. KISTI and HLRS in Germany have agreed to share the COVISE and will have research exchanges. As such, it is expected that Korea will play a major role in e-Science research by building strategic and systematic collaborative relations with its International partners.

  • Purpose - This study suggested a practical model for super supermarkets (SSMs) and small- and medium-sized stores to grow together. Super centers expanded their business. However, after the retail distribution law was revised in 2009, mutual cooperation between large and small enterprises resulted in social issues and people raised the issue of profitability. Research design, data, and methodology - This study investigated cases of regulation over distribution in Japan, France, and other countries to reveal implications and recommendations. Results - This study demonstrated how SSM and middle and small supermarkets could grow together by franchising and using cooperative society law. Franchising was a mutual growth model whereby the franchiser provided franchisees with large enterprise systems and utilities while franchisees could provide the franchiser with local information. They could thus build trust in each other to facilitate a mutual growth model. Further, the voluntary franchise system's model facilitated the mutual growth model. Conclusions - This study demonstrates that the franchise system and cooperative society could constitute an ideal model whereby large enterprises and middle and small stores could rely upon each other and grow together.

  • Recently, we often encounter water shortage problem due to drought during dry season. Although we have built dams and expanded our tap water system greatly to meet the increasing demand of water, this approach has its inherent limitation including environmental destruction in the course of the dam construction. Therefore, this paper is aimed to analyze the water recycling models developed in other countries and modify them to fit into our system. Also the water recycling system in Busan municipal area was analyzed to propose an alternative method for reusing the recycled water from wastewater treatment area.

  • Recently the construction of railway sections passing the central area of cities and stations under railway lines are increasing, and then it is urgently required to take the countermeasures against the railway vibration and the second-phase noise radiated from it. The most efficient countermeasure, out of technologies developed up to now, is the floating slab track which is the track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. In other countries, the source technologies for anti-vibration design and vibration isolator - one of key components - have been developed and many installation experiences have been accumulated. However, in Korea, since the system design technology and technologies for key components are not yet developed, the foreign system are being introduced without any adjustment, and the key component, vibration isolator, depends on imports. In this study, analysis on floating slab system installed rubber mat and stopper is carried for the examination on the safety of floating slab system.

  • This paper examines agri-food export competitiveness among 4 countries(Korea, USA, Japan, China) based on Porter's Diamond model approach. Korea agri-food competitiveness index is much less than those of other countries. Korea is the lowest ranked among the 4 countries in terms of three determinants(except 1 factor, related and supporting industries) of Porter's Diamond Model: Factor condition, demand condition, firm strategy, structure and rivalry. Korea is assumed to have weak point in the factor condition, demand condition because of low capital and land as well as insufficient investment on the agri-food sector. on the other hand, it seems to have strong factor in consumer condition(demand condition). This paper suggest the following strategies to reinforced the agri-food export sector in Korea. 1) an incentive system for seed development and capital investment, 2) a cluster strategy between agriculture and related industry.
