Intelligent Scheduling Control of Networked Control Systems with Networked-induced Delay and Packet Dropout

  • Networked control systems(NCSs) have gained increasing attention in recent years due to their advantages and potential applications. The network Quality-of-Service(QoS) in NCSs always fluctuates due to changes of the traffic load and available network resources. To handle the network QoS variations problem, this paper presents an intelligent scheduling control method for NCSs, where the sampling period and the control parameters are simultaneously scheduled to compensate the effect of QoS variation on NCSs performance. For NCSs with network-induced delays and packet dropouts, a discrete-time switch model is proposed. By defining a sampling-period-dependent Lyapunov function and a common quadratic Lyapunov function, the stability conditions are derived for NCSs in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Based on the obtained stability conditions, the corresponding controller design problem is solved and the performance optimization problem is also investigated. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

교차편파 SRR을 이용한 재구성 공진기 설계 (Design of Reconfigurable Resonator with Cross Polarized SRR)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로 스트립 선로로 구성된 Split Ring Resonator (SRR) 구조를 이용하여 대역통과 필터를 설계하였다. 설계된 필터는 metamaterial 구조이며, 두 개의 공진주파수를 갖는다. SRR은 마이크로 스트립 선로에 삽입된 4개의 SRR 구조로 설계 되었다. 각각의 SRR은 가상 스위치 동작에 의해 4개의 state를 가지며, Switch의 ON/OFF동작에 따라 주파수 재구성 특성을 보이는 대역 통과 공진기를 설계하였다. 공진기의 전자기적 특성을 설명하기 위해 Ziolkowski 방법으로 유전율과 투자율을 계산하였다.

  • This paper has develops a new framework to understand the human’s driving maneuver based on the expression as HDS focusing on the driver’s stopping maneuver. The driving data has been collected by using the three-dimensional driving simulator based on CAVE, which provides three-dimensional visual information. In our modeling, the relationship between the measured information such as distance to the stop line, its first and second derivatives and the braking amount has been expressed by the PWPS model, which is a class of HDS. The key idea to solve the identification problem was to formulate the problem as the MILP with replacing the switching conditions by binary variables. From the obtained results, it is found that the driver appropriately switches the ‘control law’ according to the following scenario: At the beginning of the stopping behavior (just after finding the stopping point), the driver decelerate the vehicle based on the acceleration information, and then switch to the control law based on the distance to the stop line.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis System for a Three-Phase Inverter Using a DWT-Based Artificial Neural Network

  • Inverters are considered the basic building blocks of industrial electrical drive systems that are widely used for various applications; however, the failure of electronic switches mainly affects the constancy of these inverters. For safe and reliable operation of an electrical drive system, faults in power electronic switches must be detected by an efficient system that is capable of identifying the type of faults. In this paper, an open switch fault identification technique for a three-phase inverter is presented. Single, double, and triple switching faults can be diagnosed using this method. The detection mechanism is based on stator current analysis. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) using Daubechies is performed on the Clarke transformed (-) stator current and features are extracted from the wavelets. An artificial neural network is then used for the detection and identification of faults. To prove the feasibility of this method, a Simulink model of the DWT-based feature extraction scheme using a neural network for the proposed fault detection system in a three-phase inverter with an induction motor is briefly discussed with simulation results. The simulation results show that the designed system can detect faults quite efficiently, with the ability to differentiate between single and multiple switching faults.

Magnetic Force-based Immunochip using Superparamagnetic Nanoparticles

  • This paper reports a novel magnetic force-based microfluidic immunoassay using microbeads and magnetic nanoparticles. The magnetic force-based immunoassay was devised first and successfully applied to detect the rabbit IgG as the model analyte of microfluidic sandwich immunoassay. The microchannels were fabricated by poly(dimethysiloxane) (PDMS) molding processes and bonded on a slide glass by plasma treatment. At the part of the inlet, sample solution was hydrodynamically focused. The focused microbeads of sample solution were flowed through the 150 ${\mu}m$ width channel of outlet. However, when the microbeads are conjugated with the superparamagnetic nanoparticles under the applied magnetic fields, they will switch their flow path and flow through the 95 ${\mu}m$ width channel of outlet. The movements of microbeads conjugated with magnetic nanoparticles were demonstrated by magnetic field $gradients.^{1)}$ High magnetic field gradients using micro electromagnets could be applied to this detection method for high sensitivity and lower detection limit. In addition, the multiplexed $immunoassay^{2)}$ using an encoded microbead which is immobilized with a certain antibody could be possible using this detection principle.

  • Vacuum interrupters in order to be used in various switch-gear components such as circuit breakers, distribution switches, contactors, etc. spread the arc uniformly over the surface of the contacts. The electrodes of vacuum interrupters are made of sinter-forged Cu-Cr materials for good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Since the closing velocity is 1-2m/s and impact deformation of the electrode depends on the strain rate at that velocity, the dynamic behavior of the sinter-forged Cu-Cr is a key to investigate the impact characteristics of the electrodes. The dynamic response of the material at intermediate strain rate is obtained from the high speed tensile test machine test and at the high strain rate is obtained from the split Hopkinson pressure bar test. Experimental results from both quasi-static and dynamic compressive tests are interpolated to construct the Johnson-Cook model as the constitutive relation that should be applied to simulation of the dynamic behavior of the electrodes. The impact characteristics of a vacuum interrupter are investigated with computer simulations by changing the amount of chromium content.

유사공진형 SMPS의 보상기 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the compensator design of the quasi-resonant SMPS)

  • In this thesis, the lead-lag compensator is designed to improve output characteristics of flyback zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converters. The switch and the diode are assumed ideally. And the SMPS is modelled by state equations with four operation modes. And the model for controller design is also achived by using a state space averaging method, which is continuous time average of state variables every period. The lag, the lead and the lead-lag compensator is designed the SMPS respectively. The time domain analysis and the frequency domain analysis are done for each compensated circuit. It is possible increasing the phase margin and improving the transient response by the compensators. The phase lag compensator has small overshoot comparatively. But the bandwidth is narrower than the others, so it has longest settling time. For the phase lead compensator, the response come to steady-state within short period. But the overshoot is the largest due to its large peak gain. Finally, the phase lead-lag compensator has medium characteristics in the overshoot and the settling time.

  • 반도체 소자의 정전기 내성을 알아보기 위해 필요한 HBM ESD 테스터를 작자하였다 .HBM ESD 테스트는 MMIC의 정전기 내성을 측정하는 데 가장 많이 사용하는 방식이다. 고전압의 ESD 신호론 얻기 위하여 DC-DC converter의 일종인 flyback 방식온 도입하였다. Flyback 방식으로 제자된 HBM ESD 테스터는 고전압 부분과 저전압 부분을 서로 격리시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다 스위치로 사용된 relay의 air gap을 이용하여 정전기의 rise time이 국제 규격에 맡도록 설계하였다. 결과적으로, flyback 방식과 relay의 air gap을 이용하여 기생 성분이 최소화된 ESD 테스터를 제작하였다.

  • Reliability means that a product maintains its initial quality and performance at certain period of time(time, distance, cycle etc) under given condition without failure. Given conditions include both environmental condition and operating condition. Environmental condition means common natural environment such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and working condition means artificial environment such as voltage, current load, install place, hours of use, which occurs during using the product. In the field of railway vehicles, although components of railway vehicles with reliability are the trend of mandatory as persisting period of railway vehicles is extended, using components of railway vehicles is insufficient for the practical reliability assessment. but the meaning of the first railway operating agency to acquire the parts in the field, the data suggest the reliability of products if you can and can show the reliability of modular units and modular units can provide the reliability of if you can present reliability of the entire system is thought to be here In this study, lifespan of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles operating agency, such as a large number of trains operates on the same line.

  • 우주발사체에 사용하는 극저온 밸브용 위치지시기는 높은 신뢰성과 정확성을 가져야 한다. 극저온 환경에 노출되는 만큼 습기나 외부오염 등 환경 요인에 영향을 받지 않고 밸브의 상태를 측정하여야 한다. 이러한 요구조건을 만족할 수 있도록 영구자석과 리드스위치를 활용한 위치지시기를 개발하였다. 영구자석과 리드스위치의 특성을 분석하고 극저온 환경에 적용할 수 있는 부품을 선정하였다. 그리고 밸브 개폐 정보를 정확하게 측정할 수 있도록 부품의 형상과 위치를 고려하였다. 최종적으로 밸브 시제품에 적용하여 시험을 통해 설계 변수의 타당성을 검증하였다.
