Hexahedral Mesh Generation by Sweeping and Grafting Algorithm (스위핑과 접목 알고리즘은 이용한 육면체 요소망의 생성)

  • An algorithm for generating all hexahedral meshes for three dimensional objects has been presented. This algorithm is based on the sweeping and the grafting method. In sweeping process internal nodes generating method has been modified by employing the distances between nodes on connecting surfaces and on source surfaces. In addition to the sweeping processes grafting algorithm is also modified to obtain more effective meshes by refining elements near grafting surfaces. With this method two and a half dimensional hexahedral meshes for three dimensional objects can be generated effectively. Sample meshes are constructed to demonstrate the mesh generating capability of the proposed algorithm.

  • 본 연구는 3D 이미지 스캔 데이터 기반으로, SWEEPING 형상을 효과적으로 역설계하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 사용자가 미리 정의한 형상 단면 모델 데이터베이스를 이용해, 3차원 SWEEPING 형상을 자동으로 역설계하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해, 3D 이미지 스캔 데이터인 포인트 클라우드에서 자동으로 추출한 단면 포인트들을 처리해, 파라메터 정보를 추출하고, 미리 정의된 형상 단면들과 상호간 유사도를 비교한 후, 가장 유사한 형상 단면을 획득한다. 이러한 기술은 SWEEPING 형상 모델의 역설계 과정을 자동화하는 데 도움을 줄 것이다.

Flow Characteristics of Sweeping Jet Issued by a Feedback-free Fluidic Oscillator (피드백이 없는 유체진동기에서 분사되는 Sweeping jet의 유동 특성)

  • This paper presents flow characteristics of a sweeping jet issued by a feedback-free fluidic oscillator. Overall flow characteristics of feedback-free sweeping jet (FFSJ) were analyzed using flow visualization. The feedback-free sweeping jet has a sinusoidal external flow pattern. The oscillating frequency of the FFSJ is three times higher than that of a conventional sweeping jet at the same Reynolds number. Flow structure and turbulence characteristics were investigated using time-resolved particle image velocimetry (TR-PIV). In instantaneous velocity fields, the flow did not stay at ends but changed the direction continuously in contrast to the conventional sweeping jet. Velocity distributions at each plane which were extracted from mean velocity field has Gaussian distribution, which is similar with a circular jet. The sweep angles were constant as 45° at all Reynolds numbers in the high flow rate regime.

Flat Sweeping Automatic Hold of Wavelength Swept Laser (파장 스위핑 레이저의 평탄 스위핑 자동 유지)

  • In this paper, a new method for flat sweeping automatic hold of wavelength swept laser has proposed. Through the performance test on the implemented laser, even 5 hours passed, the flat sweeping has held up well, and 56nm flat sweeping range, 1kHz sweeping frequency, and 8.8mW average optical power were obtained. This showes that the proposed can eliminate the necessity of hand-operated polarization control required for previous swept lasers in case of long time operation and also optical spectrum analyzer needed to monitor the sweeping spectrum status.

Comparison of Occurrences of Coleoptera by Three Sampling Methods in Mt. Yeonyeop Area, Korea (채집법에 따른 연엽산 일대 딱정벌레목의 출현상 비교 분석)

  • To compare the occurrence of Coleoptera by different sampling methods such as light trap, pitfall trap and sweeping, we collected samples every month from April to September,2004 in the Mt. Yeonyeop, Gangwon-do, Korea. According to the sampling methods, the species composition, abundance and dry weight were completely different. We collected 151 species in 35 families (690 individuals) by sweeping method, 148 species in 30 families (689 individuals) by light trap, and 112 species in 18 families (1,674 individuals) by pitfall trap, respectively. The dry weight in collected sample was about 181.46 g in pitfall trap,39.85 g in light trap, and 10.89 g in sweeping method, respectively. Relatively high flight and small-sized beetles such as Coccinellidae, Nitidulidae, Scarabaeidae were collected in light trap. The species diversity was high in July. Unlike the samples collected in light trap, the pitfall trap samples were big-sized saprophagous or carnivorous beetles such as Carabidae, Silphidae, Staphylinidae. The pitfall trap showed relatively the higher number of individual and lower species diversity compared to other methods. The major samples collected by sweeping method were small-sized carnivorous or herbivorous beetles such as Chrysomelidae, Curculionidae, Coccinellidae. The peak of species diversity occurred in May. The similarity was calculated with the Jaccard's index over the light trap-pitfall trap was 0.07, light trap-sweeping was 0.10, and pitfall trap-sweeping was 0.01. Consequently, similarity of sampling methods was relatively low. In conclusion, efficiency of the each sampling methods significantly differed in the species composition of Coleoptera. This study emphasize the necessity of using three sampling methods in the area of diversity research.

  • 본 연구는 일체형 곡물 건조/저장 시스템 개발에 사용되는 Sweeping Auger의 성능 개선을 위하여 추진되었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 Variable Section Sweeping Auger를 제안하고 그 특성을 해석할 수 있는 수식모형을 개발하였다. 이를 통하여 곡물 건조 저장시스템의 성능개선에 이바지 하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents a sweeping path planning algorithm for an autonomous smearing robot. An automatic planner generates a sweeping path pattern by proposed five basic procedures. This algorithm rocog-nizes obstacle on the architectural CAD draft and generates subgoals as tracking points which executes the area filling task based on heuristic approach. A sweeping path is planned by sequentially connecting the track-ing points in such a way that(1) the connected line segments should not be crossed, (2) the total tracking points should be as short as possible, and (3) the tracking line should not pass through the obstacle, Feasibility of the developed techniques has been demonstrated on a real architectural CAD draft.

Sweeping Linearization of Wavelength Swept Laser (파장 스위핑 레이저의 스위핑 선형화)

  • In this paper, a new method for linear sweeping of wavelength swept laser has proposed, and the linear sweeping of 1kHz speed and 80nm range has realized by using this method. The proposed requires only one-shot calibration in the early stage on a wave pattern applied to FFP-TF. This makes the problem with nonlinear swept lasers like a cumbersome and time-consuming signal processing brought on by every recalibration to be resolved.

  • In this paper, Frequency Domain Mode Locked(FDML) wavelength swept laser with 55.027 kHz sweeping speed and 125 nm sweeping range has realized, and also a new method for recalibrating a nonlinear frequency sweeping of a swept laser has proposed. The Swept Source-Optical Coherence Tomography system using the proposed method has performed. For a mirror surface, the system showed the very clean 2-dimensional image and the advanced image speed of 7 frames per sec compared to the previous recalibration method.
