This research analyzed the case of Ncsoft to study the organizational learning, exploitation and exploration that create dynamic capability in hypercompetitive environment. First of all, we demonstrated the activities of exploitation and exploration in Ncsoft according to the life cycle of online game industry. An exploitation related to routine, learning and fit with existing environment brings about incremental innovation. In contrast, an exploration associated with non-learning, flexibility with changing environment results in radical innovation. We examined them based on the life cycle of its various game services. NCsoft that built the leading position in online game industry focused the exploitation activities at the stage of beginning period and growth, whereas NCsoft has increased the activities of exploration at period of mature. In addition, the firm conducts an exploration for its brand new game services and R&D. Conversely, An exploitation is conducted for sustainable updating of patch service and marketing and system building. The result implies that online game companies create sustainable competitive advantage using the balance between exploitation and exploration.
This research was aimed at finding clues of improving behavioral affordance of the residential environment by scrutinizing change of the residents' behavior in a livingroom depending on the child's development stage. 30 double-income families with one child were the subjects of depths interview, survey, observation of this research, who were residents of 3-bedroom apartment housing in Seoul. They presented obvious different behavioral patterns according to their child's development stage. Breeding and playing behavior were prior to the others when their child was in childhood, then relaxing with TV and PC behavior were getting superior when their child was in school period. It is important that residents perceive that the numerous types of behavior may take place in a livingroom, some of which has originated in our long residential culture. And then real housing should be provided to them that has proper behavioral affordance to support all those behavior. Housings with minimum walls and rooms would make it possible. A family has its inner dynamics can live a sustainable life in that housing as a home, that lasts along their whole life.

In October 2009, the Ministry of Land Transport and Maritime Affairs noticed 'Environment-friendly housing construction standards and performance' to build energy saving environment-friendly housings (Green Homes) for the reduction of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission. In this study, the $CO_2$ emissions were evaluated during the life cycle of the existing apartments which were built in 1980's and Green Home apartment. $LCCO_2$ was evaluated by dividing the life cycle into three stages which are construction, maintenance and destruction stage. $CO_2$ emission from the materials for improving insulation performance was estimated by Input-output analysis. As a result, in 40 year-life cycle of $84\;m^2$ apartment, 400.68 T-$CO_2$ was emitted from 1980's apartment, on the other hand 231.02 T-$CO_2$ was emitted from Green Home apartment.
Nowaday, The Sustainable Development about global environment is the most important subject. In urban environment, a variety of the nature energy utilization such as the solar energy are the most efficient solution to solve this issue. One of these efficient, solutions, a photovoltaic system using sunlight has been introduced to the building with an advantage such as cost-effective, safe for using and good for environment friendly in light with energy utilization. Recently, many of the apartment housings are built in domestic country. The apartment buildings have been constructed since early of 1970's. now apartment is taking over 50% out of entire housing in korea. The apartment housing applying to a photovoltaic system has been extensively studied in the foreign country but our county runs short. So, It was necessary to technical development of PV application which is suitable in Korean house culture. The objective of this study is to develop the building integrated PV application method for apartment building.
Built-out issue of copper processing appearing recently in the Paldang watershed is a critical problem to deteriorate the basic framework of national water management policy as well as to be simply a copper-related problem. Up to now, Korea government has invested hard and relevant upstream areas have been victimized readily in a variety of field to comply its goal of 'Safe Water Supply'. Because of the reason, the desirable water quality level of the Paldang watershed has been maintained regardless of its dense population. Paldang drinking water management policy is based on residents' understanding which is considered as a 'social capital'. The issue raised in the aspect of water quality management policy should be reviewed on the basis of the 'social capital' concept. One regarding semiconductor industry as a potential industry to export many products in 10 years insists that the industry not be a simple private business but be a prominent part for national competitiveness. There is no doubt about this opinion. However, a nation should support environmental right-to-life of its people prior to any other tasks. In other words, it is really risky to give up people's right due to economic benefits. Therefore, it should not happen to trade 'life', the dignity of man, with national competitiveness which is likely to be preferred in these days. In addition, coherent policy not to destroy 'social capital' promoting Paldang drinking water resource management policy should be maintained.
The purpose of this study was to find out awareness of the environment-friendly planning elements for residential unit space among practitioners. The respondents in this questionnaire survey were 140 practitioners in architecture and interior design field. The major findings of this study were as follows; most of the respondents were aware of the impact of indoor built environment on residents' wellness. In addition, the survey respondents viewed that the factors for planning environment-friendly high-rise apartments were represented by gardening and energy-saving while their perception on the concept excluded comprehensive components affecting residents' life quality. Over 50% of respondents had an experience of applying environment-friendly planning elements in their works, and high frequency appeared on the general planning elements which had been applied special awareness as pro-environmental features. The respondents considered environment-friendly planning elements as important. Specially, space planning and system were considered more likely important in interior design field. In application of environment-friendly planning elements, cost, lack of consumers' awareness of and underdevelopment of environment-friendly materials were of concern. Therefore, the consumer's cognition needs to be improved for wide application about environment-friendly planning element, and then consumers are willing to pay additional construction cost of environment-friendly apartments. At the same time, the current practice that housing developers pass the additional cost on to residents needs to be changed. Then, the quality of life in high-rise residential settings can be improved. More importantly, the exchange and development of the reliable information on environment-friendly planning elements need to be made, and technical support and long-term policy for the development are required. This research showed current status of knowledge and practice in sustainable planning of unit apartment and proved basic information for future direction.
Purpose: The definition and factors of passive design being the sustainable method of building plan through the preceding research is deducted and the effect of passive design within the public library by applying the deducted factors in the case of built public libraries and further the realization plan of green library aimed to be reviewed in this research. Method: This study is to induce common elements of architecture plan for public library and passive design, and assess application level of re-classified elements of sustainable public library in order to analyze present condition of passive design applied on facilities of public library. First, related laws and planning standards of public library will be reviewed, then the definition of passive design will be considered using advanced research. Through advanced research related to planing elements and passive design for library induced from various plans for library standards, a common ground of induced passive design element will be transformed into assessment items and practices to be analyzed. Result: Libraries which are and are not preliminarily certified by G-SEED will be compared with each other in order to analyze the effects of passive design on G-SEED. Even though various passive elements such as load reduction of air conditioning and energy efficiency exist, there are no assessment tool within G-SEED. The fact that there are only standards for temporary methods such as utilization of construction material and installation of equipment highlights the challenges in quantitative evaluation.
High-rise and high-density apartment complexes have been built and supplied on a large scale in the 1st period New Town of metropolitan areas since the late 1980s. Recently it has become necessary to improve those apartment complexes which have blight problems for aging more than about 20 years accompanying simultaneity and a large scale. The purpose of this study is to analyze actual conditions of high-rise and high-density apartments in a view of sustainable regeneration. The contents and methods of this study are as follows. First, the concept of high-rise and high-density in domestic apartment developments were identified through review of literature and the law. Second, development conditions of Bundang new town and 1st period new town were studied. Third, the evelopment conditions of high-rise and high-density apartments in cases of 6 apartment complexes were analyzed from points of view of sustainable development by literature review and a field study. The results of this study are as follows. First, high-density range in domestic apartments can be conceptualized as 600 persons/ha. High-rise range in domestic apartments can be onceptualized as more than 11 stories under 30 stories. Second, characteristics and subjects based on actual conditions analysis could suggest on physio-environmental aspect and socio-economic aspect. Major characteristics and subjects of the physio-environmental aspect were 1.satisfaction of convenient facilities and public transportation service, 2.shortage of parking space, 3.uniform & blight of community facilities, 4.uniformed building layout, and 5.uniform pattern of unit plan and low flexibility by the bearing wall structure. And those of the socio-economical aspect were 1.satisfaction of current community, 2.increase and diversity of needs of the elderly by socio-demography change, 3.improvement of size and method of apartment complex development and 4.raising of economic-sufficiency.

The design process of ecological and environmental detention system located in the housing district of Sinjeong 3-jigu in Seoul are as follows. At stage one, a new dispersal detention was created in the neighborhood park located near the originally planned detention. From this, the amount of storage of this dispersal detention system was enlarged from $28,337m^3/d$, the initial storage amount, to $33,606m^3/d$ as the post storage amount, responsible to the amount of rainfall which happens every 100 years. In particular, the SSB (Sustainable Structured wetland Biotop) system, which was the New Excellent Technology verified by the Ministry of Environment (No. 258) was applied to enhance ecological functioning and water quality with the detention as a constructed wetland. At stage two, the treatment plans for non-point pollutant source occurred at the initial period of rain, flowing into the detention system were built for purifying the water of the retention pond at the base of the detentions, and the water-circulation system was designed at the dispersal detentions on the period of regular rainfalls. The non-point pollutant source flowing into detention site was calculated as $11,699m^3/d$ flowing down from seven small watersheds, which occurred at the initial period of rain. In particular the SSB systems improved the average efficiency of the water processing performance to BOD 60%, SS 90%, T-N 30%, T-P 60%. At stage three, the ecological network and biological diversity were strongly considered so that it brought the residents with amenity places. In particular, the dispersal detentions were successfully designed to restore the ecological habitat of endangered plant and animal species such as narrow-mouthed.

Information technology, which on a global level is responsible for 2% of emission of greenhouse gases. However, the remaining 98% is seen as an opportunity for IT to help our planet, our companies and our society. The purpose of this paper is to analyze green information technology (IT) initiatives and their strategic impact. And to have done this, we develope and create a very useful balanced-scorecard framework to explain, understand, and identify the direct and indirect contribution of green IT initiatives. The green IT evaluation framework, called here a sustainable green IT balanced scorecard, integrates the four BSC-IT perspectives with the Zuboff's automate/informate goals of information systems and the contribution of the sustainability (economic, social and environment). This study also seeks to answer the following questions: 1) what are the driving forces for implementing green IT initiatives? 2) How can an analytical framework be built to systematically analyze the benefits and strategic contribution of green IT initiatives? And 3) how green IT initiatives impact the strategic goals of a firm and how they can contribute to the triple bottom line? The framework demonstrates to be useful as a management tool to hopefully integrate environmental and social management with the general management of a company. Besides, the strategy map and measures for each cell of the framework are provided.
