To estimate dispersion stability of particles in anionic and nonionic surfactant mixed solution, suspending power was examined as functions of duration time of suspension, ionic and nonionic surfactant mixed ratio, surfactant concentration, kinds of electrolyte, ionic strength and mole numbers of oxyethylene additions to nonionic surfactant using $\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ particle as the model of particulate soil. The suspending power of anionic and nonionic surfactant mixed solution was relatively higher than that of anionic and nonionic surfactant single solution regardless of solution concentration. The suspending power was gradually decreased with increasing duration time of suspension. In the absence of electrolyte, the effect of surfactant concentration on suspending power was small but in solution with electrolyte, suspending power was lowest at 1 % surfactant concentration. With 1${\times}$10$^{-3}$ ionic strength and polyanionic electrolyte in solution, the suspending power was high but effects of oxyethylene mole number to nonionic surfactant on suspending power was small. Generally the suspending power was gradually increased with decreasing the particle size. Hence the suspending power was inversely related to the particle size.
To estimate dispersion stability of particles, suspending power and particle size were examined as functions of pHs, surfactants, electrolytes and ionic strengths using ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ particle as the model of particulate soil. Suspending power and particle size were determined by UV-Vis spectrumeter and by light scattering using the polarization ratio method, respectively. The suspending power was relatively high with polyanion electrolytes and was low with neutral salts. The suspending power was biphasis, minimum pH 6~7, and the effect of surfactant on the suspending power was insignificant. Generally suspending power increased with decreasing the particle size governed aggregation of dispersed particles regardless of solution conditions. Hence the suspending power was inversely related to the particle size.

Bearingless SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) is researched for high speed or special applications which can not use mechanical bearing such as bio pump. In this paper, a novel hybrid pole bearingless SRM is presented. The proposed hybrid pole bearingless SRM has salient poles for torque and suspending force production. Motor torque is controlled by the phase currents in torque pole windings, and the suspending force is controlled by suspending currents in four suspending windings for radial direction suspension. Because the proposed bearingless SRM has divided pole structure, mutual effects between torque current and suspending current are very lower than the conventional one's. From this structure, the number of power devices for power converter can be reduced for bearingless SRM driving. The proposed hybrid pole bearing less SRM is verified by the FEM analysis and experimental results.
A suspending force control based on fuzzy logic control is proposed to apply on a novel hybrid bearingless switched reluctance motor(BLSRM) which has separated torque and suspending force pole. In this paper, two fuzzy controller targeted at x-axis direction and y-axis direction are adopted to maintain the shaft at center position, which is very necessary for stable operation of BLSRM. Useing the modified fuzzy logic controller, the suspending system can behave a good performance, and the proposed scheme can be verified by simulation results.
The effect of temperature, washing time, mechanical agitation and concentration on the removal from cotton fabrics of tripalmitin labelled with C\sup 14\ were studied. In order to correlate the detergency with the removal mechanism, solubilization and suspending power of surfactants were observed. RESULTS : 1. The detergency from cotton fabric was increased with elevating temperature and over the temperature of maximum detergency, the rate of soil removal was rather decreased. 2. The effects of washing time and mechanical agitation on the removal of triplamitin were obvious at lower temperature. 3. The removal of tripalmitin was remarkably increased at higher concentration over cmc for all surfactants. The detergency of nonionic surfactant -NPPG- was best, this was resulted from its large solubilization and suspending power.

The effects of surfactants and concentration of NaOH in surfactant solution on the removal of free fatty acid soil from cotton fabrics were investigated. Cotton fabrics were soiled with palm itic acid which is the most common fatty acid found in natural oily soil and washed in Lauder-ometer with various types of surfactant with or without NaOH. The rate of soil removal was estimated by analyzing palmitic acid contents in fabric before ar d after washing. Analysis of palmitic contents was made by extracting palmitic acid with azeotropic mixture of alcohol-benzene and the extracts were titrated with standard NaOH solution. It was shown that the types of surfactant are important factor in free fatty acid removal and the efficiency increases in the following order: SLS$90\%$ of initial sorption. In relation to the mechanism of detergency, the suspending and emulsifying power of surfactants were also examined. From the results of this experiments, it could be concluded that the soap formation with alkali and the suspending power of surfactant arc significant factors in free fatty acid soil removal, but the emulsifying power of it is neglizible.
This paper presents a novel hybrid pole BLSRM (Bearingless Switched Reluctance Motor) and its radial force control scheme. The proposed hybrid pole BLSRM has separated radial force poles and rotating torque poles. According to the FEM analysis, the proposed BLSRM has an excellent linear characteristic of radial force and controllability that is independent from the torque current. The radial force can be produced by the radial force winding which is wound at the separated radial force poles. The rotating torque is produced by the excitation current of the torque windings which are wound at the torque pole. The proposed radial force control scheme is independent of the phase torque winding current. A simple PID controller and look-up table are used to maintain a constant rotor air-gap. The proposed BLSRM and its radial force control scheme are verified by FEM analysis and experimental tests.
In drilling process of oil wells, the drilling fluid such as mud keeps the drill bit cool and clean during drilling, with suspending drill cuttings and lubricating a drill bit. In this paper, a commercial CFD package(ANSYS Fluent 15.0) was used to solve the hydrodynamic force and evaluate mud mixing time in the mud mixing tank on offshore drilling platforms. Prediction of power consumption in co-rotating and counter-rotating models has been compared with results of Nagata's correlation equation. This research shows the hydrodynamic effect inside the two phase mud mixing tank according to rotating directions(co-rotating and counter-rotating). These results, we can conclude that the co-rotating direction of the two shafts with mixing blade in the mud mixing tank can be a preferable in power consumption and mixing time reduction.
BLSRM is a nonlinear, strong coupling and multi-variable system. The conventional control method is vulnerable to uncertain factors such as the load disturbance and satellite parameters change. It is difficult to obtain satisfactory control effect. Basing on a 8/10 BLSRM, whose suspending force control is separated with the torque control, this paper presents adaptive fuzzy PID controller for levitation control, which apply the fuzzy logic control to the conventional PID controller for parameters self-tuning. Both fuzzy and parameters of PID controller are self-tuning on-line, which improve the performance of controller. Finally, simulation and experimental results show the performance of the proposed method.

General components and detergency of commercial shampoos have been investigated and the results are summerized in the following. Shampoos were analyzed for surfactants and additives by KS method and surfactants were confirmed by T.L.C. Considerable differences in amounts of non volatiles and surfactants were found. Three of them contain either lanoline or sterols as additives and in the three. propylene glycol was found in their liquid part. It was shown that predominant sufactant was anionic and in all, except one. a little ampholytic surfactant was detected. But, contrary to forecast, in only one a little of non ionic surfactant was detected. Detergency of shampoos was examined using artificially soiled wool muslin. Considerable difference was found, and all shampoos showed higher detergency than a synthetic powder type detergent for textiles. There were no significant correlation between detergency and amount of surfactants or suspending power of detergents.
