  • There is an increasing need to use mobile Internet as a research tool as wireless technology has been developing rapidly. However, little research has been conducted to confirm methodological validity of mobile Internet survey. This study examines the possibility of using mobile Internet as a survey tool by comparing survey results of mobile and stationary Internet surveys with the same questionnaire. The results were analyzed from both economic and theoretical perspectives. Both mobile and stationary Internet survey sites were implemented with supports from domestic mobile and stationary Internet portals and telecommunication companies. The results show that there exist several differences between two survey methods. First, many respondents who use mobile Internet gave up at the early stage. However, once people continued to respond, they answered the questions to the end. Second, means and standard deviations of mobile internet respondents were higher than that of stationary Internet. Third, the results of two survey methods were significantly different by comparing construct validity that includes both discriminant validity and convergent validity. Finally, this paper ends with implications and limitations of using mobile Internet as a survey tool.

  • Stepping into the technological boom time, Vietnam has integrated into the trends of using Fintech applications as a new means of payment. This article evaluates the relationship between perceived security (including service security and platform security), knowledge, confirmation, perceived usefulness, satisfaction, attitude and lastly enterprise's images regarding the service and continuous intention to use Fintech services. The survey results of 352 Vietnamese customers using Fintech services, reliability test and extended post-acceptance model (EPAM) which is based on PAM and ECT models. From the survey, we further found out that perceived security (BSS) has no direct impact on continued intention to use, while perceived security (BSS) has positive impact on confirmation (CON), similarly, perceived usefulness (PU) and user's satisfaction (SES). Knowledge of the Mobile Fintech payment service (KNOW) has a positive impact on perceived security (BSS). Confirmation (CON) has a positive influence on perceived usefulness but in the meanwhile it has created a negative impact on user's satisfaction (SES). From the survey it can also tell that user's attitude (ATT) and enterprise image (IMG) both have a positive impact on continual intention to use Fintech services. From the research results, we also propose some recommendation to enhance the continual intention to use Fintech services in Vietnam.

Methods: GSPS is a cross sectional survey conducted twice (2006 and 2009) in entire India. A total of 180 schools were surveyed each time. Results: Of the participating school personnel, 2660 in 2006 and 2575 in 2009, about 95% were teachers and the balance administrators. In 2009, compared to 2006 the prevalence of current smoking of cigarettes (19.6% in 2006 and 10.3% in 2009) and bidis (21.5% in 2006 and 13.9% in 2009) was found to be significantly lower; the percentage of teachers receiving training on preventing youth tobacco use has significantly reduced (16.7% in 2006 and 10.1% in 2009); access of teachers to educational materials on tobacco use and how to prevent its use among youth had not increased (34.6% in 2006 and 37.8% in 2009); there was no change in policy prohibiting tobacco use among students and school personnel; however, ever use of any tobacco on school premises was significantly lower (15.6% in 2006 and 9.6% in 2009). Conclusions: The prevalence of current smoking (cigarettes/bidis) among school personnel and use of any tobacco on school premises were significantly decreased in 2009 as compared to 2006. Necessary action should be planned to increase the number of teachers trained and the availability of teaching materials on preventing youth tobacco use in order to have effective prevention of tobacco use among students.

  • In this study, I analyzed single people time use and leisure behavior. I have compared patterns of time use of the single people who completed a survey for this study with the data from Time Use Survey(Korea National Statistics office, 1999). The survey participants included 160 single people who were thirty- to forty-years-old and who were living alone. The data from the Time Use Survey by NSO contained 2,004 married people cases and 30,155 unmarried individuals cases. The major findings are as follows: First, the single people who participated in this study were not especially anti-marriage; they simply have not been married yet and were living in a one-person household. Second, single people spent more time at work and less time for leisure and socializing than two comparative groups. Third, single people spent more time for household labor than other groups, and the only exception was the married female group. There was no gender difference in the time spent at household work Finally, single people tended to spend their leisure time with passive activities such as reading a newspaper or a magazine, watching television, and listening to the radio.

  • A survey method in Korea has being developed rapidly since a survey company was established in 1968. In latest, the CATI, internet survey, Notebook, PDA survey methods are being utilized in accordance with communication development. This article focuses on the practical use and the strength and weakness of the PDA survey solution which employs 'KISS' system designed by KRIVET itself. The survey using PDA has, on the one hand, such strengths as follows : 1) efficient field control, 2) reduction of time for verifying data and generation of proper data 3) shortening survey duration from intial survey to data completion, 4) cutting down survey personnel and cost. On the other hand, survey using PDA has the following weakness: 1) limitation of questionnaire expression, 2) increasing time for survey, 3) communication barrier in some regions.
