The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a tool that measures the satisfaction of virtual training learners' use of virtual training content. To this end, 491 copies of the basic questions derived from the satisfaction questions used by the K University Online Lifelong Education Center were used for the final analysis by conducting an online survey of learners who accessed STEP, the K University Online Lifelong Education Center portal. The 491 copies of data finally used were analyzed by methods such as basic question analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. First, in the basic question analysis, there were no questions that exceeded the acceptance criteria of an average of 4 points or more, skewness ±2, and kurtosis ±4. Second, the correlation coefficient for each sub-factor of virtual training content satisfaction derived after exploratory factor analysis was good as r=.682 to .822 (p<.01). The reliability coefficient for each sub-factor is content .849, content utilization .922, System and Operations Support .841, Intention to Continue Utilization .920, the overall reliability is. It was very high at .956 Fifth, as a result of confirmatory factor analysis, the compositional conceptual diagram is. It was .842 to .926, higher than the recommended standard of .7, and the average variance extraction degree. It appears to be .640 to .796, higher than the recommended standard of .5, which can be seen as representative of each constituent concept. As a result of verifying the validity of virtual training learners' content satisfaction recruitment, four factor models were derived: content substance, content utilization, system and operation support, and intention to continue use. This study is meaningful in that it empirically developed a tool to measure content satisfaction of virtual training learners and provided a reference frame and criteria.
Objective : This study aimed to investigate the current status of physical therapy in children and adolescents. Methods : Sixty questionnaires from physical therapists treating children and adolescents with disabilities were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of questions on physical therapy, participants, satisfaction, and the assessment of pediatric and adolescent physical therapy. Descriptive statistics and frequencies were used to investigate the current status, participants, and satisfaction. Differences between physical therapy participation difficulty, importance-ability of major aspects of pediatric and adolescent physical therapy, and therapy goal frequency were analyzed using paired T-test. Results : 11 to 15 cases (66.7%) and one-on-one treatment (95.0%) were performed independently (95.0%). The main ages of the subjects were preschool and school, the diagnoses were brain lesions and developmental delay, and treatment was conducted for up to 20 years or older. Satisfaction with pediatric and adolescent physical therapy was high (70.0%), as was the intensity of work (71.7%). Neurodevelopmental therapy, gait training, and goal-directed rehabilitation were the main treatments, and Gross Motor Function Measures of 88 and 66, respectively, were used. Respondents said that current fee system is inadequate (66.1%) and appropriate fee system is needed. Conclusion : This study extensively investigated the content of and factors related to pediatric and adolescent physical therapy. Based on the current situation, efforts to improve the expertise and continuity of pediatric and adolescent physical therapists and apply the latest treatment techniques are required.

This research assessed the applicability of the You Only Look Once (YOLO)v8 and DeepLabv3+ models for the effective detection of compost heaps, identified as a significant source of non-point source pollution. Utilizing high-resolution imagery acquired through Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs), the study conducted a comprehensive comparison and analysis of the quantitative and qualitative performances. In the quantitative evaluation, the YOLOv8 model demonstrated superior performance across various metrics, particularly in its ability to accurately distinguish the presence or absence of covers on compost heaps. These outcomes imply that the YOLOv8 model is highly effective in the precise detection and classification of compost heaps, thereby providing a novel approach for assessing the management grades of compost heaps and contributing to non-point source pollution management. This study suggests that utilizing UAVs and deep learning technologies for detecting and managing compost heaps can address the constraints linked to traditional field survey methods, thereby facilitating the establishment of accurate and effective non-point source pollution management strategies, and contributing to the safeguarding of aquatic environments.
Objectives : This study aimed to identify unmet needs and influencing factors for patients who have breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and thyroid cancer. Methods : We reviewed the SCIE publications on unmet need of four prevalent cancer patients published after 2010 through a web search. Results : The measurement tools primarily used were Cancer Survivors' Unmet Needs and Supportive Care Needs Survey questionnaire. Lung cancer patients reported a relatively higher rate of unmet needs. Breast cancer patients frequently reported unmet needs in the healthcare system and information, while thyroid cancer patients in post-treatment management and psychological issues. Colorectal cancer patients reported unmet needs in psychological and comprehensive care domain, and lung cancer patients reported unmet needs in physical and daily life management. Younger age, a shorter time since diagnosis or treatment, and higher levels of anxiety, depression, distress, and reduced quality of life were associated with more significant unmet needs. Conclusions : Unmet needs and influencing factors vary by cancer type. Considering the characteristics of each patient group and unmet needs can help in development of more effective treatment and support programs.

Purpose: This study attempted to analyze the staffing level and critical care nursing fees of intensive care units at tertiary and general hospitals and to provide a professional judgment-based recommendation on staffing level and critical care nursing fee schedules. Methods: Staffing grades and critical care nursing fee schedules for the first quarter of 2017~2020 and the fourth quarter of 2020~2022 were analyzed. A survey was conducted on nursing managers and nurses about the current and appropriate staffing levels. A total of 77 nurse managers and 708 nurses working in Intensive Care Unit(ICU)s at tertiary and general hospitals participated in the study. Results: Grade 1 staffing increased from 25.6% in 2017 to 92.1% in 2022 at tertiary hospitals and from 0.8% in 2017 to 28.4% in 2022 at general hospitals. The current staffing ratios of tertiary and general hospitals were 1:2.21 and 1:2.77, respectively. The appropriate staffing ratio according to nurse managers and nurses was 1:1.00 in patients with more than a ventilator application and 1:2.00 in patients without any ventilator application in tertiary hospitals, and it was 1:1.25 in patients with more than a ventilator application and 1:2.00 in patients without any ventilator application in general hospitals, respectively. Conclusion: The appropriate staffing level was suggested from 1:1.0 to 1:2.0. The new nursing fee schedules were suggested from 1:1.0 (Grade 1) to 1:3.0 (Grade 5) and recommended to be paid based on the staffing grade, minimum number of nurses, and standard annual working days. It is expected to increase staffing levels and provide a better nursing work environment.
This study forecasted the manpower demand of eco-friendly smart shipbuilding, whose importance and weight are increasing according to the environmental regulations of the IMO and the spread of the 4th industrial revolution technology. It predicted the shipbuilding industry manpower by applying various models of trend analysis and time series analysis based on data from 2000 to 2020 of Statistics Korea. It was found that the prediction applying geometric mean had the smallest gap among the trend and time series analysis methods in comparing between forecast results and actual data for the past 5 years. Therefore, the demand for manpower in the shipbuilding industry was predicted by using the geometric mean method. In addition, the manpower demand of smart eco-friendly ships wast forecasted by using the 2018 and 2020 manpower survey results of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and reflecting the trend of manpower increase in the shipbuilding industry. The result of forecasting showed that 62,001 person in 2025 and 85,035 people in 2030. This study is expected to contribute to the adjustment of manpower supply and demand and the training professional manpower in the future by increasing the accuracy of forecasting for high value-added eco-friendly smart ships.

Objective : This study sought to explore occupational therapy students' awareness of Developmental Rehabilitation Services (DRSs) and the certification of Sensory Developmental Rehabilitation Service Providers (SDRSPs). Moreover, it also aimed to examine the differences in students' awareness based on general characteristics. The findings were intended to provide a foundation for research on sensory developmental rehabilitation. Methods : An online survey was conducted among 199 occupational therapy students nationwide from October 4 to November 5, 2022. Frequency analysis was used to assess the general characteristics and additional items. Both descriptive statistics and frequency analysis were employed to assess the students' awareness of DRSs and SDRSP certification. Any differences in the students' awareness based on their general characteristics were examined using t-tests and an analysis of variance. Results : The students' awareness of DRSs was moderate (4.50 ± 2.40), while their awareness of SDRSP certification was also moderate (4.22 ± 2.55). The awareness of DRSs varied significantly based on the students' academic year and child-related practice experience. Similarly, the awareness of SDRSP certification differed significantly based on the students' academic program, academic year, recognition by the related department, and child-related practice experience. Conclusion : The occupational therapy students expressed a strong intention to provide DRSs and become certified as SDRSPs. However, their awareness levels were moderate. These findings emphasize the importance of educational efforts and the provision of relevant information about DRSs and SDRSP certification in universities to foster the development of competent SDRSPs.
Objectives: A mobile health intervention program was provided for employees with overweight and obesity for 12 weeks, and a process evaluation was completed at the end of the program. We investigated participant engagement based on app usage data, and whether engagement was associated with the degree of satisfaction with the program. Methods: The program involved the use of a dietary coaching app and a wearable device for monitoring physical activity and body composition. A total of 235 employees participated in the program. App usage data were collected from a mobile platform, and a questionnaire survey on process evaluation and needs assessment was conducted during the post-test. Results: The engagement level of the participants decreased over time. Participants in their 40s, high school graduates or lower education, and manufacturing workers showed higher engagement than other age groups, college graduates, and office workers, respectively. The overall satisfaction score was 3.6 out of 5. When participants were categorized into three groups according to their engagement level, the upper group was more satisfied than the lower group. A total of 71.5% of participants answered that they wanted to rejoin or recommend the program, and 71.9% answered that the program was helpful in improving their dietary habits. The most helpful components in the program were diet records and a 1:1 chat with the dietary coach from the dietary coaching app. The barriers to improving dietary habits included company dinners, special occasions, lack of time, and eating out. The workplace dietary management programs were recognized as necessary with a need score of 3.9 out of 5. Conclusions: Participants were generally satisfied with the mobile health intervention program, particularly highly engaged participants. Feedback from a dietary coach was an important factor in increasing satisfaction.

Investigating disaster sites such as earthquakes and landslides involves significant risks due to potential secondary disasters like facility collapse. In situations where direct access is challenging, there is a need to develop methods for safely acquiring high-precision 3D disaster information using light detection and ranging (LiDAR) equipped drone survey systems. In this study, the feasibility of using drone LiDAR in disaster scenarios was examined, focusing on the collapse accident at Jeongja Bridge in Bundang-gu, Seongnam City, in April 2023. High-density point clouds for the accident bridge were collected, and the bridge's 3D terrain information was reconstructed and compared to the measurement performance of 10 ground control points. The results showed horizontal and vertical root mean square error values of 0.032 m and 0.055 m, respectively. Additionally, when compared to a point cloud generated using ground LiDAR for the same target area, a vertical difference of approximately 0.08 m was observed, but overall shapes showed minimal discrepancies. Moreover, in terms of overall data acquisition and processing time, drone LiDAR was found to be more efficient than ground LiDAR. Therefore, the use of drone LiDAR in disaster sites with significant risks allows for safe and rapid onsite investigations.
Background: Artificial sweeteners are chemically synthesized substances used to add sweetness to foods. Representative substances include aspartame and acesulfame-K, which are 200 times sweeter than sugar. Recently, the IARC classified aspartame as class 2B, but Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of South Korea announced that it would maintain the current usage standards. Acesulfame-K, which has the potential to cause cancer, was excluded from the list of possible carcinogens, raising questions about its safety. According to a survey by the Consumers Union of Korea, 85% of makgeolli includes artificial sweeteners, but the content labelling is not indicated. It is necessary to accurately determine the intake of artificial sweeteners through makgeolli. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the safety of makgeolli consumption by identifying the content of artificial sweeteners (aspartame, acesulfam-K) and preservatives (sorbic acid). Methods: Twenty makgeolli samples were purchased from large supermarkets and convenience stores by referring to the sales ranking of makgeolli products distributed in South Korea and the purchase ranking from online sites. The sample was sonicated to remove alcohol and carbon dioxide. Nine mL of acetonitrile was mixed with 1 mL of the prepared sample, centrifuged, and the supernatant was filtered and analyzed using HPLC. Results: As a result of the analysis, aspartame was detected in 17 products and acesulfame-K was detected in ten. The ADI of aspartame (40 mg/kg·bw/day) is higher than the EDI based on the maximum concentration 126.5 ㎍/mL. The ADI of acesulfame-K (15 mg/kg·bw/day) is higher than the EDI based on the highest concentration of 82.96 ㎍/mL. Although the health risk is low, IARC has raised the possibility of aspartame causing carcinogenesis, so there is a need to reevaluate the standards and regulations for artificial sweeteners. Conclusions: Through this study, we aimed to determine the content of aspartame and acesulfame-K contained in makgeolli currently distributed in South Korea and the safety of exposure to the human body when consumed.
