The study has attempted to introduce a new coating than the conventional standardized method of spray, padding and roll coating. The study has focused on finding condition for separating water and organic layer in marble bath and surface effects according to kind of raw hide. It was found that dyestuff-free was to be used in water layer and the input amount of initial insoluble pigment to be added in marble bath should be adjusted following the change of surface area of the marble bath in order to get efficient marble effect while preventing coagulation of water and organic layers. Eventually, amorphous high value-added leather could be obtained treated in process other than the conventional standardized method. Even raw hides of low grades($C{\sim}E$ grades) could be processed into amorphous marble effect that could conceal or shield surface scratches by the colorant, which eventually eliminated necessity of using excessive amount of chemicals in the coating process leading to achieving high quality marble leather of natural look.
The adhesive properties of polyester cord in rubber matrix were investigated according to the surface modification. The polyester cord was oxidized in sodium hypochlorite solution, and graft-polymerized with acrylic acid under the irradiation with ultraviolet light, and then coated with resorcinol-formaldehyde latex (RFL). The modified surface was checked with scanning electron microscope. The adhesive properties were measured by the full-Out method, and evaluated with regard to the energy of adhesion and the maximum load. The polyester was not oxidized in sodium hypochlorite solution, so the surface was not able to etch to produce the coarse topology. As the concentration of acrylic acid and the reaction time were increased, the graft yields were also increased. It was considered that the acrylic acid would swell the polyester and diffuse easily to the inner side of substrate. The adhesive properties of polyeser to rubber matrix were affected by the surface condition. Namely, the maximum load was almost same, but the energy of adhesion was rather higher In the polyester grafted with acrylic acid than in control one. We concluded that the flexible aliphatic chains of polyacrylic acid situated in the interface of cord and rubber matrix were distributed well the stress and strain all over the filler resulting the high energy of adhesion.

The objective of this study is to investigate the thermal conductivity of cement mortar for apartment housing floor using expansive admixture, copper fiber, cower lathe, hollowed aluminum plate. According to test results, temperature at point (a) located above heating pipe does not show significant variation with age, and temperature at (b), which is located at the finishing surface above heating pipe, and temperature at (c), which is located at center surface between heating pipe has remarkable change. Temperature distribution sat (b) are in order for, structure containing copper fiber>plain structure>structure containing hollowed aluminum plate>structure containing expansive admixture. Temperature distribution, shows high tendency in order for, structure containing copper fiber>structure containing copper lathe>structure containing hollowed aluminum plate>plain structure>structure containing expansive admixture. (a) estimation of temperature distribution is determined with the variation of temperature between (b) point and (c) point during 60 minutes heating.
Peroxodisulfates are being developed as low temperature bleaching agents for cotton fabrics to save the thermal energy. In this research we used the colar difference meter to determine the whiteness which peroxide booster will possibly make an effect on cotton fabric at the low temperature process using consist of temperature with different conditions agents, such as sodium hydroxide, sodium peroxodisulfate and potassium peroxodisulfate. The peroxide bleaching follows a laboratory experiments, using a statistical plan for three variables: the concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide and the temperature of bathing. The purpose of this research was to use the response surface analysis method to evaluate the relative importance of factors providing optimum whiteness. A ridge analysis of the data on whiteness response results in 3-D response surface diagrams for optimizing the concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide at about 42~52$^{\circ}C$.
The feasibility of earthworm protease as a new cosmetic material for human hair care was investigated. The effectiveness of the earthworm protease treatment was assessed by thickness change of hairs, optical microscope examination, aminoacid analysis, surface morphology, angular resolution analysis through methylene blue staining method and tensile strength change. The protease treated hair became thinner and the soil on the surface removed in experimental groups unlike control group. Tensile strength decreased in experimental group in which the enzymes may decompose polypeptide bonds.
In this study, the polyurethane microcapsules for non-aqueous dyeing containing iron oxide and disperse dyes were prepared by in-situ polymerization method using hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI) with ethylene glycol(EG). And the size, shape, and particle size distribution of microcapsules prepared were investigated. The size and shape of microcapsule were observed by optical microscope and scanning elecron microscope. The particle size distribution was analyzed by particle size analyzer. The microcapsule size and its distribution were largely effected by the existance of surface active agent in the system. When a surfactant did not exist in the system, the size distribution of microcapsules prepared was much uneven. By adding a surfactant, this phenomenon was disappeared. And the size of microcapsule was also effeced by the hydrophobicity of core material(disperse dye). It was considered due to the difference of dispersity of core materials. And the size of microcapsule prepared was inversely proportional to the stirring speed.

The expansion of old road is needed in construction the entrance at the $\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$I/C road in $\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$city. To strength the national competition, many agents who concerned do their best for finishing that construction early as soon as possible. In generally, soil embankment on soft foundation is caused to reduce the stability by making the settlement of ground surface due to the over load. Thus, we try to make it stable by building EPS embankment construction which in our working place is one kind of the method of light embankment construction after excavating the original ground.
Immobilization of lysozyme on chitosan non-woven using glutaraldehyde(GA) was investigated. For this, 100 % chitosan non-woven was prepared as novel support for the enzyme immobilization. In addition, free lysozyme activity was examined depending on various pH and temperature by measuring time. Moreover, the optimum immobilization conditions depending on various pH, temperature, immobilization time and lysozyme concentration was evaluated. In addition, thermal stability and storage stability of immobilized lysozyme were measured. The characteristics of immobilized lysozyme was examined by FT-IR, surface morphology, and MTT assay. The results are follows: the optimal immobilization of lysozyme were pH 7.0, $25^{\circ}C$, lysozyme concentration 1.5 mg/ml, immobilization time 240 min. The immobilized lysozyme showed higher thermal stability than the free trypsin. The immobilized lysozyme activity was retained 80 % of its initial activity at $4^{\circ}C$ over 30 days of storage. The lysozyme was immobilized effectively on chitosan non-woven by observation of surface morphology.
Wool has excellent properties, such as heat retention, absorbency, and elasticity, but it has a disadvantage in washability because the fabric will felt and shrink greatly. Felting causes the interlocking of the fiber surface scales with one another. Therefore, the studies on wool finishing have been focused on shrink proofing. Precedent researches on wool shrink proofing are mostly on eco-friendly method. using enzyme. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of L-cysteine, EDTA in papain treatment of wool fabrics. The specific contents of study are as follows. Depending on pH, temperature, treatment time, enzyme concentration and L-cysteine, EDTA concentration, weight loss, tensile strength, whiteness, SEM were examined. Each papain treatment conditions depending on L-cysteine, EDTA were optimized from these properties. Papain had very low activation without activators. The optimum conditions of papain treatment were pH 7.5, temperature $75^{\circ}C$, time 30minutes(L-cysteine), 180minutes(EDTA) and papain concentration 5%(o.w.f.). In the use of papain 5%(o.w.f.), the activators optimum concentration was L-cysteine 2%(o.w.f.), EDTA 7%(o.w.f.)
A purpose of this research is to prove unknown relation -ship between finish bath pH and crosslinking. In pursuit of these goals, we have treated 100% cotton broad cloth with PTCA and BTCA at different pH values. They were used with H$_{3}$PO$_{4}$, NaH$_{2}$PO$_{2}$, NaH$_{2}$PO$_{4}$, Na$_{2}$HPO$_{4}$, Na$_{3}$PO$_{4}$, catalysts to produce nonformaldehyde fabrics finishes. Treatments were applied to all cotton fabrics using a parletry-cure process. For the fully understood on the relationship of finish bath pH effect and cotton cellulose esterification, the relative concentrations of chemical species were calculated from ionization constants. The effect of pH on the cotton cellulose ester was investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectra, the surface area measurement by BET method and wrinkle recovery analysis. Results of differential FT-IR spectra and their relative concentration analysis were compared with those of catalyst treated controls. FT-IR and wrinkle recovery data indicated that the esterfication by polycarboxylic acids is pridependent. A similar phenomenon also occurred when a phosphate or hypophosphite was used. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the optimum pH range of a finishing bath in order to achieve the most effective esterification.
