A magnet supporting post installed between the lower TF coil tooled by 4.5 K supercritical helium and the cryostat base is one of the most important components of the superconducting magnet supporting structure for KSTAR Tokamak. This structure should be flexible to absorb thermal shrink of the magnet and also should be rigid to support the magnet weight and the Plasma disruptions load. The Post was designed with stainless steel 316LN and CFRP that have low thermal conductivity and high structural strength at low temperature. In order to verify the possibility of fabrication and the structural safety. a whole scale prototype of the KSTAR magnet supporting post was manufactured and tested. Static and compressive cyclic load tests under the maximum Plasma vertical disruption load and the magnet dead weight were performed. The teat results showed that the magnet supporting post of KSTAR Tokamak was possible to manufacture and structurally rigid.

The column type is used as the sensing element of the load cell to measure the large force in the range of 10$^4$~ 10$^{7}$ N. However. it is not easy to handle the load with large capacity due to its size. It is, therefore, necessary to design a compact load cell with a low aspect ratio. Thus this paper showed the characteristic evaluation of compact load cell with respect to the shape of supporting plate. The supporting plate of the load cell was an annular type with inner(D$_{i}$) and outer(D$_{o}$) diameters. Using the strain distribution obtained from FEM. the supporting plate was designed to get the stable output voltage of the load cell. The three designed supporting plates were manufactured, and the result of characteristic experiment of the load cell, using the 10 MN hydraulic force standard machine, was compared with FEM.M.M.
The purpose of this investigation was to analyze stress distribution in implant supporting tissue according to different types of attachments such as combination bar attachment, Hader bar attachment, O-Ring attachment and Dal-Ro attachment that are used in mandibular overdenture by using two osseointegrated implants, to study the influence that POM IMC used in bar type attachment has in implant supporting tissue and compare the preceding analyses to find out an effective stress distribution method. Three dimensional photoelastic method was used to obtain the following results. (A) Analysis of stress distribution according to attachment type 1. Under vertical load condition, compressive stress was seen at implant supporting area of working side on all the photoelastic models but in Hader bar attachment tensional stress was seen at distal upper area of implant supporting area. Relatively Hader bar and O-Ring attachment showed even stress distribution pattern. 2. Under vertical load condition, compressive stress at implant apex area and tensional stress at implant lateral supporting area were seen at nonworking side of all models. 3. Under $25^{\circ}$ lateral load condition, general compressive stress was seen at working side implant supporting area in most of the models, especially at distal upper supporting area higher compressive stress concentration was seen in combination bar attachment and tensional stress concentration, in Hader bar attachment. 4. Under $25^{\circ}$ lateral load condition, compressive stress at implant apex area and tensional stress at implant lateral supporting area were seen at nonworking side of all models, except O-Ring model which showed compressive stress only. (B) Influence of POM IMC to stress distribution in bar type attachment 5. Under vertical load condition, better stress distribution pattern was seen at working side of combination bar and Hader bar attachment model using POM IMC. 6. Under vertical load condition, stress value was increased at nonworking side of combination bar attachment model using POM IMC and tendency of increasing compression was seen at nonworking side of Hader bar attachment model using POM IMC. 7. Under $25^{\circ}$ lateral load condition, better stress distribution pattern was seen at working side of combination bar attachment model using POM IMC but tendency of increasing stress was seen on working side of Hader bar attachment model using POM IMC. 8. Under $25^{\circ}$ lateral load condition, stress reduction was seen at nonworking side of combination bar attachment model using POM IMC but tendency of increasing stress was seen at nonworking side of Hader bar attachment model using POM IMC.

It is important to determine supporting locations for structural stability when a structure is loaded with non-uniform load or supporting locations as well as the number of the supporting structures are restricted by the problem of space. Moreover, the supporting location optimization of complex structure in real world is frequently faced with discontinuous design space. Therefore, the traditional optimization methods based on derivative are not suitable Whereas, Genetic Algorithm (CA) based on stochastic search technique is a very robust and general method. The KSTAR in-vessel control coil installed in vacuum vessel is loaded with non- uniform electro-magnetic load and supporting locations are restricted by the problem of space. This paper shows the supporting location optimization for structural stability of the in-vessel control coil. Optimization has been performed by means of a developed program. It consists of a Finite Element Analysis interfaced with a Genetic Algorithm. In addition, this paper presents an algorithm to find an optimum solution in discontinuous space using continuous design variables.
Purpose: This study was to propose the clear understanding for stress distribution of supporting bone by use of staggered buccal offset tripodal placement of fixtures of posterior 3 crown implant partial dentures. We realized posterior 3 crown implant fixed partial dentures through finite element modeling and analysed stress effect of implant arrangement location to supporting bone under external load using finite element method. Method: To understand stress distribution of 3 crown implant fixed partial dentures which have 2 different arrangement by finite element analysis. In each model, for loading condition, we applied $45^{\circ}$ oblique load to occlusal surface of crown and applied 100 N for 3 crown individually(total 300 N) for imitating possible oral loading condition. at this time, we calculated Von Mises stress distribution in supporting bone through finite element method. Result: When apply $45^{\circ}$ oblique load to in-line arrangement model, maximum stress result for 100 N for each 3 crown 47.566MPa. In tripodal placement, result for 1mm buccal offset tripodal placement implant model was maximum distributed load 51.418MPa, so result was higher than in-line arrangement model. Conclusion: In stress distribution result by placement of implant fixture, the most effective structure was in-line arrangement. The tripodal placement does not effective for stress distribution, gap cause more damage to supporting bone.

This study was carried out to analyze the effect of direction of wind load and machinery house location on the stability of container crane loading/unloading a container on a vessel. The overturning moment of container crane under wind load at 50m/s velocity was estimated by analyzing reaction forces at each supporting point. And variations of reaction forces at each supporting point of a container crane were analyzed according to direction of wind load and machinery house location. The critical location of machinery house was also investigated to install a tie-down which has an anti-overturning function of container crane at the land side supporting point.
This study was aimed to analyze the stress distribution of implant and supporting tissue in single tooth implant restoration using Branemark $system^{(R)}$(Nobel Biocare, Gothenberg, Sweden) and Bicon system(Bicon Dental Implants, Boston, MA). Two dimensional finite element analysis model was made at mandibular first premolar area As a crown materials porcelain, ceromer, ADA type III gold alloy were used. Tests have been performed at 25Kgf vertical load on central fossa of crown portion and at 10Kgf load with $45^{\circ}$ lateral direction on cusp inclination. The displacement and stresses of implant and supporting structures were analyzed to investigate the influence of the crown material and the type of implant systems by finite element analysis. The results were obtained as follows : 1. The type of crown material influenced the stress distribution of superstructure, but did not influence that of the supporting alveolar bone. 2. The stress distribution of ceromer and type III gold alloy and porcelain is similar. 3. Stress under lateral load was about twice higher than that of vertical load in all occlusal restorative materials. 4. In Bicon system, stress concentration is similar in supporting bone area but CerOne system generated about 1.5times eater stress more in superstructure material. 5. In Branemark models, if severe occlusal overload is loaded in superstvucture. gold screw or abutment will be fractured or loosened to buffer the occlusal overload but in Bicon models such buffering effect is not expected, so in Bicon model, load can be concentrated in alveolar bone area.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of two different oblique mechanical loading to occlusal surfaces of cement retained implant on the stress distributions in surrounding bone, using 3-dimensional finite element method. Methods: A 3-dimensional finite element model of a cement retained implant composed of three unit implants, simplified ceramic crown and supporting bone was developed according to the design of ement retained implant for this study. two kinds of surface distributed oblique loads(100 N) are applied to following occlusal surfaces in the single crowns; 1) oblique load on 2 occlusal points(50N for each buccal cusp, 2 buccal cusps exist), 2) oblique load on 4 occlusal points(25N for each buccal and lingual cusp, 2 buccal and 2 lingual cusps exist) Results: The results of the comparison of the stress distributions on surrounding bone are as follows. In the condition of oblique load on 2 occlusal points, VMS was 741.3 Mpa in the M1(Ø$4.0{\times}13mm$) model and 251.2 Mpa in the M2(Ø$5.0{\times}13mm$) model. It means the stress on the supporting bone is decreased. The results of oblique load on 4 occlusal points are similar to this one. Conclusion: Increasing the diameter of the implant fixture is helpful to distribute the stress on the supporting bone. Also, to obtain the structural stability of the supporting bone, it is effective to distribute the load evenly on the occlusal surface of crown in producing single crown implant.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is a finite element analysis of supporting bone according to custom abutment angle. Methods: Implant fixture was selected with a diameter of 4 mm and the length of 13 mm. The fixture and abutment was designed by a combination of the abutment screw clamping force to produce a custom abutment model of $0^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $25^{\circ}$ and $35^{\circ}$. The loading condition of 176 N was applied to the lingual surface of the crown, near to the incisor edge, and horizontal load. An oblique load of $90^{\circ}$ was applied long axis of the implant fixture analyze the stress of supporting bone. Results: The result of mechanical analysis was observed that the supporting bone stress analysis of the horizontal load, the von Mises stress values (MPa) are given in the order of TH00 (432.6) > TH25 (418.0) > TH15 (417.4) > TH35 (415.8), the oblique load, the von Mises stress values are given in the order of TO00 (459.3) > TO15 (399.6) > TO25 (374.8) > TO35 (343.4) Conclusion: The $35^{\circ}$ abutment over the current clinical tolerance limits will be available for clinical application.

Recently several researches have been conducted to develop sliding track system in which friction between concrete track and bridge slab has been reduced. This paper investigated shear load carrying capacity of lateral supporting concrete block which should be implemented to resist lateral load due to train in sliding track system. In order to evaluate shear load carrying capacity of lateral supporting concrete block, analytical model has been developed considering concrete friction and rebar dowel action along construction joint. The proposed model predicted test results on the shear load carrying capacity from literature conservatively by 13~23% because effect of aggregate interlock along crack surface was neglected. Since construction joint status is ambiguous on construction site, it can be concluded that the proposed model can be used for reasonable design of lateral supporting concrete block. Based on the proposed model, design proposal for lateral supporting concrete block has been established.
