The Impacts of Relational Support, Educational Support, Attitude towards Entrepreneurship on Entrepreneurial Intentions of Fresh graduates

  • Purpose: The study aims to identify the factors contributing to the formation of entrepreneurial intentions among recent university graduates. The original value of this study lies in providing support and a better understanding of the entrepreneurial decision-making process of Vietnamese fresh graduates. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology employs Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with a sample size of 385 university graduates in Vietnam. Results: The results indicate that three key factors, including relational support, educational support, and attitude towards business, positively impact entrepreneurial intentions. Conclusions: The managerial implications are provided to promote entrepreneurial intention among recent university graduates.

An Empirical Analysis of Trade Support System and Export Performance in Korean SMEs

  • Purpose - This study investigates factors that affected the utilization of trade support policies and further analyzed how the utilization of trade support policies affected export performance. Research design, data, and methodology - With a sample of 223 small and medium-sized export firms from South Korea, this study examines the determinants of the utilization level of trade support system such as export market orientation, learning orientation, network capability and environmental uncertainty by regression analysis. Results - Export market orientation have a positive effect on the utilization of the trade support system and there is positive relationship between learning orientation and the utilization of trade support system. And network capabilities have had a positive impact on the utilization of the trade support system but there is no relationship between environmental uncertainty and the utilization of trade support system. The utilization of the trade support system had a positive effect on export performance. Conclusions - The internal and external factors of the organization have affected small and medium-sized export firms use of trade support systems. The utilization of trade support system can enhance positive export performance by providing valuable information and resource to external knowledge and also to complementary resources from the external partners.

  • The recent development of IT, consolidation of communication and multimedia technology have brought enormous changes in many organizations. Theses changes are enabling the new educational opportunities such as distance teaming and virtual class room. Recently, e-Learning has grown rapidly in business training field, In the context of companies, e-Learning has merits in terms of access convenience, costs reduction self-directed learning, reciprocity, and flexibility. In this regard, the primary purpose of this study is to investigate which factors of e-Learning influence the effectiveness of education and transfer of loaming in business organizations. Based on the prior studies of the education and business training field, research model and research hypotheses were developed. Factors studied in this paper were as follows: 1) learners' characteristics, 2) organizational support and 3) system environments. The results of our study are as follows. (1) Motivation perceived usefulness in Learner factors had an significant influence on both learning effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas Ability, expectation had an influence on transfer of teaming. (2) Support from peer, support from supervisor in Organization factors had an significant influence on both Loaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas support from organization had influence on learning effectiveness. (3) Appropriate contents in system circumstance had an significant influence on both teaming effectiveness and transfer of teaming, whereas interface design had an influence on learning effectiveness.

Support for Child Care: The Financial and Social Support Received from Government, Employers, and Grandparents (가구 보육지원의 결정요인: 정부, 직장, 조부모의 재정적 지원 및 서비스 지원을 중심으로)

  • This study examined how much support families with pre-school children receive for child care along with the types of support they receive. The paper also investigated the factors that influence the financial and social support received from government, employers and grandparents of the children. Data for this study were obtained from a questionnaire completed by mothers of pre-school children (n=641) during the spring of 2009. The data were analyzed by the following methods: $\chi^2$, t-test, ANOVA, Logit analysis, and Tobit analysis using SPSS and STATA software. The profile of support for child care showed that approximately 33 percent of families with pre-school children received free or subsidized child care from the government, 12 percent received some forms of support for child care from the parents' employers, and 26 percent received support from grandparents either financially or in the form of free child care. The results of the Logit analysis demonstrated that families with pre-school children were more likely to receive child care subsides from the government when they had a higher number of pre-school children and a lower level of family income. The significant factors that influence support from employers were mother's educational level, the number of pre-school children, and family income. The significant factors that affect support from grandparents of the children were the mother's age, the mother's employment status, the type of residence, and the family type.

A Study on the Organizational Support for Smart Work (스마트워크 지원을 위한 조직적 준비에 대한 연구)

  • In the case of ICT-enabled organizational changes such as Smart Work, appropriate change management is required. To achieve work-life balance, organizational change management should be conducted from both a structural and a cultural perspective. This study looked at organizational factors that affect Smart Work facilitation through a case study with the view of ICT-enabled change management. From November to December 2019, eight Smart Workers of Company A were interviewed and analyzed for organizational support. The results show that structural support such as institutionalization, ICT infrastructure office environment improvement, Smart Work center as well as cultural support such as enhancing autonomy, communicating style of managers, trusting organizational climate are required. The findings suggest balanced organizational support to provide cultural support along with structural support for activating Smart Work operations. In the future, it is necessary to demonstrate the causality between structural/cultural support factors and outcome factors.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine which factors are encouraging SMEs to participate in uTradeHub(focused on the uTrade search service) in terms of product characteristics and sourcing patterns. The three factors encouraging Trade e-Marketplaces are identified in this study. First, internal factors include the support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure. Second, external factors include the pressure of industry, industry competition, dependence of trading partners. Third perception factors are perceived Usefulness, perceived easy of use. The empirical analysis had the following results. First, it reveals that support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure, industry competition have significant influence upon uTrade Search Services. On the other hand, pressure of industry, dependence of trading partners, Perceived relative benefits are not significant variable of the participation in uTrade Search Services. Second, the factors affecting the participation in uTrade Search Services are differentiated in terms of product characteristics and sourcing patterns. And the support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure, Perceived relative benefits are emphasized very important factors affecting the participation of uTrade Search Services in SMEs. The industry competition is recognized as more important factor in horizontal market in which Spot sourcing just like Operating products is trading. On the other hands, the dependence of trading partners are significant factor in vertical market in which Systemic sourcing just like Manufacturing products is trading.

Change Analysis of the Rural Development Policy based on Budget Distribution (1997~2015) (정책목표 및 지원요소별 사업비 분석을 통한 농촌개발정책 변화 고찰 (1997~2015))

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes of rural development policies in the last 20 years by analyzing the budget distribution by policy objectives and support factors. 1997, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015 Guidelines of Agricultural, Food and Rural Development Project were analyzed to identify the budget distribution. The objectives of rural development policy were classified into 5 fields and 27 detailed factors such as production environment, distribution environment, technology and human resources, living environment, income support. The support factors of rural development policy were classified into 3 fields and 17 detailed factors. The budget of rural development policy has greatly increased from 952,297 million won in 1997 to 4,869,174 million won in 2010 and 3,905,340 million won in 2015. In budget distribution by policy objectives, the policy was mainly focused on management funding in 1997, 2000 and in the 2000s, it was confirmed that investment in the improvement of the living environment was rapidly taking place. In budget distribution by policy support factors, it was found that living environment and welfare environment support factor in rural area occupied the largest portion and welfare, tourism, and living environment has been rapidly increasing since 2005.

Factors Influencing Turnover Intention in Clinical Nurses: Compassion Fatigue, Coping, Social Support, and Job Satisfaction

  • Purpose: This study was done to construct and verify a model of turnover intention in clinical nurses, considering the effects of compassion fatigue, coping, social support, and job satisfaction. Methods: For this study a cross-sectional correlational design was used. Participants were 283 clinical nurses in four general hospitals. Data were collected using a questionnaire and were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis. Results: The modified model of turnover intention had a good fit in this study. Turnover intention was influenced by job satisfaction, and job satisfaction was affected by workload, problem-focused coping, peer support, family-friend support and compassion fatigue. Compassion fatigue was associated with occupational trauma events, problem-focused coping and emotional-focused coping. Job satisfaction was the most important factors controlling nurse's turnover intention. Conclusion: Findings show that job satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and traumatic events are important factors influencing turnover intention. Nurse managers try to manage job satisfaction, compassion fatigue, support, and coping for nurses, it could be expected making proper nursing circumstance.

Influences of Social Support, Self-esteem and Motivation for Rehabilitation on the Activities of Daily Living in Stroke Patients (뇌졸중 환자의 사회적 지지, 자아존중감 및 재활동기가 일상생활 수행능력에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to evaluate the degree of social support, self-esteem, and motivation for rehabilitation in stroke patients and examine correlations between activities of daily living and study variables. Furthermore, this study explored factors that influence on activities of daily living. Methods: The study population was 192 stroke patients admitted in two general hospitals and two rehabilitation hospitals in M city. We collected the data using the structured questionnaires from July 11 to September 30, 2013. Results: The higher degree of social support, self-esteem, motivation for rehabilitation, the higher performance level for activities of daily living. Influencing factors of activities of daily living in the participants were motivation for rehabilitation(${\beta}$=.32, p<.001) and social support(${\beta}$=.31, p<.001). The model explained 45.9% of the variance. Conclusion: This study shows that intrinsic motivation of change in stroke patients themselves, a strong will to return to society and social supports are important factors on activities of daily living. Therefore, it is needed to develop a systemic nursing intervention improving activities of daily living in stroke patients through positive social support from patients' family members and health care providers.

  • This study analyzed the effects that service convergence factors in the public sector have upon corporate performance via the parameter of overall satisfaction, targeting corporations that have received corporate support service under the auspices of regional industry promotion policies. The results of the analysis indicated that corporate support service quality factors pertaining to support processes and outcomes, excluding quality, have significant influence on overall satisfaction, and overall satisfaction also affects corporate performance. Thus, the study is significant in that it provides a sound basis for judging which aspects of corporate support convergence service quality need to be supplemented in order to improve overall satisfaction and corporate performance.
