In this paper, we first introduce the notions of superfluous and coessential subacts. Then hollow and co-uniform S-acts are defined as the acts that all proper subacts are superfluous and coessential, respectively. Also it is indicated that the class of hollow S-acts is properly between two classes of indecomposable and locally cyclic S-acts. Moreover, using the notion of radical of an S-act as the intersection of all maximal subacts, the relations between hollow and local S-acts are investigated. Ultimately, the notion of a supplement of a subact is defined to characterize the union of hollow S-acts.

The notion of U-exact sequence (or quasi-exact sequence) of modules was introduced by Davvaz and Parnian-Garamaleky as a generalization of exact sequences. In this paper, we prove further results about quasi-exact sequences. In particular, we give a generalization of Schanuel's Lemma. Also we obtain some relation-ship between quasi-exact sequences and superfluous (or essential) submodules.

Natural dyeing means coloring with dyes extracted from plants, minerals or animals found in nature. Natural dyeing provides calm and natural colors; it has antibacterial and deodorizing qualities; and the dyeing process is environmentally friendly. This study extracted natural dyes from young fruit by thinning out the superfluous fruits of Naju pear trees, and then examined its dyeing properties, the optimal dyeing conditions, and its color fastness for practical use. The results indicated that dyeing is ideal when it had Cu mordant treatment (5% concentration at 9$0^{\circ}C$, pH 4) for 50 min. The color fastness of natural dyes with Cu mordant treatment was very excellent after rubbing and dry cleaning, and also good after exposure to perspiration, light and washing.

In this paper it is shown that if [$T^*$,T] is of rank one and ker [$T^*$,T] is invariant for T, then T is quasinormal. Thus, we can know that the hyponormal condition is superfluous in the Morrel's theorem.

This paper suggests an integrated method based on rough sets for discovering useful knowledge from a large databse. Our approach applies attribute-oriented concept hierarchy ascension technique to extract generalized data from actual data in database, induction of decision trees to measure the information gain, and knowledge reduction method of rough set theory to remove superfluous attributes and attribute values. The integrated algorithm first reduces the size of database through the concept generalization, reduces the number of attributes by means of eliminating condition attributes which have little influence on decision attribute, and finally induces simplified decision rules by removing the superfluous attribute values by analyzing the dependency relationships among the attributes.

서론: 본 연구는 불필요한 소화기관용 약제의 처방이 한국에서의 처방전 당 약물 개수를 증가시키는 것과의 연관성을 검토하고자 수행되었다. 연구방법: 연구를 위한 자료로 건강보험심사평가원의 처방전 데이터와 환자의 기타 모든 의료보험 청구데이터를 이용하였고, 두 데이터셋을 연결하여 처방전들을 소화기관용 약제의 필요성에 따라 소화기관질환 그룹, 관절염질환 그룹,소화기관용 약제 처방이 불필요할 것으로 그 외 질환 그룹으로 구분, 분리하였다. 결과: 처방전 당 약물의 평균 개수의 분포는 세 그룹에서 비슷한 양상을 보였는데, 관절염질환 그룹과 그 외 질환 그룹의 거의 절반 이상은 한 개의 소화기관용 약제를 포함하였다. 세 그룹 모두 처방전 당 약물 개수와 처방전 당소화기관용 약제의 개수가 1차 선형관계를 보였다. 그 외 질환 그룹에서는 처방전 당 전체 약물이 평균 6개를 넘는 경우, 적어도 한 개의 소화기관용 약제가 포함되었다. 본 연구는 불필요한 소화기관용 약제를 처방하는 것은 다제처방의 매우 유의한 예측인자임을 보였다. 결론: 향후, 약제 처방전의 질을 향상시키기 위해서는 각각의 약물을, 특히 소화기관용 약제를, 처방 시 약제의 불가피한 필요성에 대해 판단할 수 있어야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to research Korean Jowoo-Guan and Chinese Hal-Guan and study transition and symbolism of the birds feather in the cap. The culture of ancient Korea was influenced by North Asia prior to the influence of the Chinese culture, One of the remarkable thing, as the cultural factor of North Asia is the birds worship thought. Korean Jowoo-Guan was derived from the birds worship thought. So in dealing with the plume of Korean Jowoo-Guan, we must recognize Worship to the bird and the symbolical meaning of the bird. The results of study was as follow. 1. Korean Jowoo-Guan was influenced worship to the sun, so it's wearing symbolized the governing class. As the Social development and governing class, the feathering cap was developed to a gold crown, and also the gold crown of Samguk times had been influenced style of North Asia culture. But afterwards the symbolical meaning of the bird was waning, only decorative meaning was remained. 2. Chinese Hal-Guan was warn in Joo-dynasty, but the symbolism of the plume in the cap was not similar to Korean Jowoo-Guan. Chinese Hal-Guan was symbolized bravery of superfluous soldier than Worship to the bird. But afterwards the symbolical meaning of bravery of superfluous soldier was waning, only decorative moaning was remained. 3. Though neighbor countries have mutually influenced and have similar cultural style, they have symbolism of themselves

This study suggests an integrated method based on concept hierarchies, information gain, and rough set theory for efficient discovery rules from a large amount of data, and implements an optimal rules discovery system. Our approach applies attribute-oriented concept ascension technique to extract generalized knowledge from a database, knowledge reduction technique to remove superfluous attributes and attribute values, and significance of attributes to induce optimal rules. The system first reduces the size of database by removing the duplicate tuples through the condition attributes which have no influences on the decision attributes, and finally induces simplified optimal rules by removing the superfluous attribute values by analyzing the dependency relationships among the attributes. And we induce some decision rules from actual data by using the system and test rules to new data, and evaluate that the rules are well suited to them.

In this paper we formulate and solve a generalized $H^{\infty}$ control problem. The conventional formulation of $H^{\infty}$ problem has some constraints in application, e.g. it can not deal with the servo problem. This is due to the superfluous requirement of internal stability of the augmented system. In this paper, we alleviate the stability of the augmented system to admit pole-zero cancellation on the imaginary aids outside the feedback loop of G22 and K. After such generalization, the servo problem is naturally incorporated into the $H^{\infty}$ synthesis.is.

In the present paper, we expand the domain of work on the concept of semiderivations in 3-prime near-rings through the study of structure and commutativity of near-rings admitting semiderivations satisfying certain differential identities. Moreover, several examples have been provided at places which show that the assumptions in the hypotheses of various theorems are not altogether superfluous.
