금강 중류 하상 퇴적층의 기원과 형성시기 및 퇴적율 (Origin, Age and Sedimentation Rate of Mid-Geum River Sediments)

  • 금강의 지류인 유구천과 정안천은 공주시 일대에서 금강 본류에 합류하는데 금강 중류는 현하상과 구하상에 모래를 많이 포함하는 하천 퇴적물이 널리 분포하고 있다. 금강 중류유역에서는 풍화에 상대적으로 약한 중생대의 화강암이 주요한 기반암이지만 금강 상류로 갈수록 풍화에 강한 선캠브리아기의 편마암이 기반암을 형성한다. 하천퇴적물의 주요 기원암은 연구지역 일대의 유구천과 정안천 하류를 포함하는 금강 중류수계 주변에 분포하는 선캠브리아기의 편마암과 중생대의 화강암이며, 석영과 장석이 우세한 특징을 보인다. 금강중류에 분포하는 조립질 퇴적물은 기후가 온난 다습해지는 기후조건하에서 강우량 증가에 따라 하상을 따라 운반된 퇴적물과 금강 본류와 지류들의 합류부 주변에서 조성된 범람환경하에서 형성되었다. $^{14}C$ 연대분석을 통하여 금강중류 유역의 가장 오래된 니질퇴적층의 연대가 약 9,430 yr BP임을 확인하였으며, 이에 따라 더 하부에 분포하는 사질퇴적층은 플라이스토세말에서 홀로세 초기에 퇴적된 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 대부분 현하상에 분포하는 퇴적층은 3,000-6,000 yr BP로 나타나며, 이는 그 형성시기가 홀로세 중기와 그 이후로서 기후변화로 인해 여름몬순(summer monsoon) 이 강하게 작용했던 시기이다. 금강중류의 하상과 범람원 퇴적층의 퇴적율을 보면, 하상사질층은 KJ-29 시추공에서 0.12 cm/yr-0.16 cm/yr, KJ-28 시추공의 범람원 퇴적층은 0.02 cm/yr-0.09 cm/yr로 각각 산정되었으며, 범람원보다 현하상에 가까울수록 퇴적율이 높게 나타났다.

"환경"과 부전공 자격연수의 문제점과 개선방향 (The problems and improvement directions of certificate in-service training for "Environment" subjects)

  • The quality of environmental education in school depends on the quality of environment teacher, who develops his/her ability through avalible courses such as in-service training and communication et al. This study was performed with the questionnaire to 179 teachers who participated in certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects on winter of '95 and summer of '96. The questionnaire included 28 items, which could be categorized 5 parts : the environmental consciousness of teachers, their awareness of environmental education in schools, the reason of participation, the limits and requirements of learning field, avalible teaching and learning methods. The improvements and suggestions derived from this study are summarized as follows: First, it is necessary to differentiate in-service training concerning environment, because the motive of teacher's participation is diverse and is not always suitable to the purpose of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Second, the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects have to be various according to the characteristics and major subjects of teachers. Third, it deserves special emphasis that the field trips and survey for the experiential study in field is supplemented in the teaching contents and programs of certificate in-service training for [Environment] subjects. Also, it is necessary to strengthen the environmental ethics and philosophy in the teaching contents and programs.

산림치유 효능물질 함량에 관한 연구 (Research of Monoterpenes Content in the Atmosphere of Forest)

  • The biogenic emission of the atmospheric volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the forests is dominated by monoterpenes. This study investigated the changes in the concentration of monoterpenes distributed in various types of forest near the Gangwon Nature Environment Research Park, Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, Korea. Samples were collected from the three sites of different types of forest, including coniferous, broad-leaved and mixed forests. Additionally, the seasonal and daily changes of monoterpene compounds were monitored. Our results found the several types of monoterpene such as ${\alpha}$-pinene, ${\beta}$-pinene, camphene, d-limonene, p-cymene and ${\alpha}$-terpinene. The highest total concentration of terpene compounds was observed in the coniferous forest. For the summer season, the total concentration of terpene compounds was highest in coniferous and mixed forests, and that was also highest in broad-leaved forest for the autumn.

여름철 얕은 저수지의 중앙과 연안에서 동물플랑크톤 군집의 서식지 선택 (Habitats Selection of Zooplankton between Pelagic and Littoral Zone in Shallow Reservoirs in Summer)

  • 본 연구에서는 낙동강 수계의 농업용수로 활용되는 수심이 낮은 4개 저수지의 중앙과 연안에서 서식하는 동물플랑크톤 군집을 조사하였다. 4개 지역의 조사기간 동안 평균 동물플랑크톤 현존량은 저수지 중앙에서 $477.5{\pm}312.4$ ind. $L^{-1}$로 높게 조사되었고, 저수지 중앙과 연안을 비교 시 유의한 차이를 보였다(Fig. 3, t=2.337, p<0.05). 대부분 우점한 분류군은 소형 윤충류로 지역간 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 저수지 내 이화학요인 결과와는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 일반적으로 저수지 연안에서 수생식물의 밀도가 증가하면 동물플랑크톤도 연안에서 높은 밀도를 보인다. 하지만 4개 저수지의 여름철 수생식물 분포는 지역간 차이를 보이며 얕은 저수지의 전 수면을 Trapa japonica, Spirodela polyrhiza 등 부유식물이나 부엽식물 등으로 뒤덮는 경우 동물플랑크톤 밀도는 저수지 연안(littoral)과 비교 시 중앙(pelagic)에서 높게 조사되었다. 저수지 중앙과 연안의 동물플랑크톤 서식지 선택에 있어 수생식물은 중요한 요인으로 작용된다. 그리고 수생식물의 높은 밀도로 인해서 항상 연안의 동물플랑크톤밀도가 증가하지는 않는다. 게다가 전 수면을 수생식물이 덮을 경우 저수지 중앙의 동물플랑크톤 군집은 크게 증가한다. 결론적으로 저수지 내 동물플랑크톤 군집은 포식압 노출에 영향을 미치는 수생식물 분포에 영향을 받으며 요각류나 지각류 보다 윤충류에서 크게 차이를 보인다.

부산지역 도시 열섬의 변화경향 분석 (2006-2010) (An Analysis on the Variation Trend of Urban Heat Island in Busan Area (2006-2010))

  • The annual variations of the urban heat island in Busan is investigated using surface temperature data measured at 3 automatic weather stations(AWSs) for the 5 years period, 2006 to 2010. Similar to previous studies, the intensity of the urban heat island is calculated using the temperature difference between downtown(Busanjin, Dongnae) and suburb(Gijang). The maximum hourly mean urban heat island are $1.4^{\circ}C$ at Busanjin site, 2300LST and $1.6^{\circ}C$ at Dongnae site, 2100LST. It occurs more often at Dongnae than Busanjin. Also the maximum hourly mean urban heat island appears in November at both sites. The urban heat island in Busan is stronger in the nighttime than in the daytime and decreases with increasing wind speed, but it is least developed in summer. Also it partly causes the increasement of nighttime PM10 concentration.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the spatial factors, strucure of living and activity in traditional Korean house through the Phiysiological view, Spatial factors of the house are concerned to the interior environment and sanitary condition, The elements of respiratory, nerve, temperature sence. vision, hearing, smelling have good condition and touch, pressure sence, pain, metabolism are poor in the house, Ventilation, Lighting, pleasant condition of interior environment are concerned to the elements that mentioned above and have most important meaning in the relation rate of space as 1st factor. And 2nd factor is for metabolism, housework and rest, 3rd factor ie for temperature sence, privacy and reproduction. The relation rate of factors concering interior environment are high in the upper class house. Anbang has important meaning in the relation of living structure and relation sequence of space is anbang, Konnonbang, kitchen, toilet, water place, auxiliary buildings. The relation rate of activity is high in interior space in winter and exterior space in summer.

수경온실의 양액 냉각부하 예측모델 개발 (Development of a Numerical Model for Prediction of the Cooling Load of Nutrient Solution in Hydroponic Greenhouse)

  • Cooling of nutrient solution is essential to improve the growth environment of crops in hydroponic culture during summer season in Korea. This study was carried out to provide fundamental data for development of the cooling system satisfying the required cooling load of nutrient solution in hydroponic greenhouse. A numerical model for prediction of the cooling load of nutrient solution in hydroponic greenhouse was developed, and the results by the model showed good agreements with those by experiments. Main factors effecting on cooling load were solar radiation and air temperature in weather data, and conductivity of planting board and area ratio of bed to floor in greenhouse parameters. Using the model developed, the design cooling load of nutrient solution in hydroponic greenhouse of 1,000$m^2$(300pyong) was predicted to be 95,000 kJ/hr in Suwon and the vicinity.

독도 주변해역에서 봄과 가을철 어란과 자치어의 종조성에 관한 연구 (Species Composition of Fish Eggs and Larvae in Spring and Autumn around Dokdo in the East Sea of Korea)

  • A study on the ichthyoplankton assemblage was conducted around Dokdo in the East Sea in September 1999 and May 2000. Sixteen species of fish larvae including eggs were collected during the surveys. Anchovy (Engraulis japonicus) eggs and larvae were comprised of 2.0% and 94.5% of total samples in number, respectively. Muller's pearlside (Maurolicus muelleri) eggs and larvae were comprised of 95.0% and 3.2%, respectively. The other species mostly composed of warm water species were less than 2% of total samples in number. The number of species and abundance of the fish lawae and eggs were higher in September than in May. Although there were limited data on the ichthyoplankton around Dokdo in summer and winter, this study area seems to be used for the spawning or nursery ground of fishes.

  • This study carried out field observations of measuring thermal environment, especially evaluating amount of water evaporation at roof Pond by field observations during the summer. Thermal environment measuring was categorized as air temperature, water temperature of roof pond, surface temperature, globe temperature, short and long wave radiation, net radiation, and amount of water evaporation by water level measurement. Results from this study could be used as fundamental for reducing heat Island phenomena.

아트리움형 공간 내 수직온도차에 따른 온열환경 (Indoors Thermal Environment by Vertical Temperature Differences in Atrium Space)

  • Recently, many studies have conducted to satisfy a physical need of human between environment of light on space, so an atrium structure has been applied to cultural complex. However, this structure brings about many problems such as overheating in summer, excessive vertical temperature differences, condensation, diffusion of noise, effect of echo, and withering landscapes. Especially, in this research, thermal comfort by difference of vertical temperature in the space of atrium and the optical characteristics of glass skins of the atrium could be remarkably effected by solar flux entering indoors.
