On account of multiple causes, including prolonged global economic crisis, addressing environmental pollution and the advent of hyper-connected society, a new paradigm called 'sharing economy' has rapidly emerged. Many startups have attempted to build promising business model based on the sharing economy concept. Nevertheless, successful cases are still very rare in the global level, except for Uber and Airbnb cases. Therefore, this study analyzes necessary causes and sufficient causes for successful settlements in the market through a comparative case analysis on digital matching firms in the sharing economy businesses. For the case study, we compare five successful cases (Uber, Airbnb, Kickstarter, TaskRabbit and DogVacay), three failure cases (Homejoy, Ridejoy and Tuterspree) and a platform cooperativism case (Juno) in accordance with six value attributes of business model including value proposition, market segment, value chain, cost structure and profit potential, value network and competitive strategy. We apply Boolean method to support controlled comparison and eliminate unnecessary attributes. The Boolean analysis result shows that value proposition, cost structure and profit potential, value network and competitive strategy are the essential attributes. Furthermore, the result indicates that each attribute is a necessary condition, where all four conditions should be met simultaneously in order to be successful. With this result, we discuss essential consideration for those who are planning startup based on the sharing economy business model.

Purpose - In this paper, we provide recommendations for Korea's long-term direction and strategic measures to attract inward foreign direct investment (FDI) in response to Japan's export regulations. In doing so, we analyze the current situation and characteristics of trade between Korea and Japan, focusing on the parts and materials industry, which is particularly affected by Japan's trade regulations. Design/methodology - Based on the analysis of five successful inward FDI cases (e.g. Toray, IGK, Delkor, GlobalWafers, DuPont) and statistic trend review in the parts and materials industry, we consider various factors pertaining to successful inward FDI in Korea and propose valuable investment attraction strategies. Findings - For a successful investment attraction strategy, we studied some statistical trends in the internal and external environments of the parts and materials industry and successful investment attraction cases in Korea. We have found that in order to increase the probability of success in attracting investment, we need a mid-to long-term strategy considering multiple factors such as "Production-oriented, Demand-linked, Global Value Chain (VGC) linked, and Policy-linked investment attraction." Originality/value - We suggest several specific measures and important strategic implications for the Korean government and firm's managers to attract inward FDI successfully.
Purpose: China's economy has changed considerably in recent decades. By delivering a comprehensive knowledge of the elements that support successful foreign direct investment (FDI) in China and practical insights for multinational firms operating in this dynamic environment, this research offers a new perspective and sets itself apart from previous studies. Research design, data and methodology: It is necessary to give a thorough overview of the body of information on successful FDI in China, which justifies the adoption of a systematic literature review. The study may use a wide range of studies because of this methodology, which guarantees that inferences have a solid and supported basis in data. Results: The findings in the present study have clarified how China's government policies and regulatory framework affect foreign direct investment (FDI). Previous studies have indicated that regulatory changes can significantly impact FDI. For instance, more foreign direct investment (FDI) has been drawn to liberalized industries such as technology and finance. Conclusions: In conclusion, for foreign direct investment (FDI) to be successful in China, it is essential to consider these four factors: local partnerships and cultural adaptation, market research and entry strategy, regulatory environment and policy support, and risk management and contingency planning.

The development and integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have consistently attracted attention from software engineering researchers. Many studies have examined the factors that influence successful ERP integration, while others have focused on introducing integration models that address issues and challenges that affect the successful integration of ERP. However, it is crucial to recognize that the key player in successful integration is the individual involved. This paper aims to investigate how individuals based on departmental attachments and experiences have viewed the factors that affected the success of ERP integration. A case study was conducted at one large organization namely Umm Al Qura University, Saudi Arabia. Five departments were involved namely: Financial management, purchasing management, warehouse management, human resources management, and the Deanship of Information Technology. The results of 78 participants were collected and analyzed. Furthermore, it was different how individuals from different departments involved in the ERP integration viewed the factors that affected the success of integration. In addition, it was noticed that individuals with different experiences have various views on the factors. Moreover, it was evident that departmental attachments and individual experience might play a role in the successful integration of ERP.

This study was aimed to find out the relationships among the types of participation motive to life-long education, the degree of education satisfaction and perception degree to the successful aging of the elderly. 414 questionnaires were collected from the elderly who are 65years plus and attend the life-long education program provided by well-fare center in Chunan-city, Chungchongnam-do. The t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis, etc were carried out using SPSS 11.0 ver. to analyze the data. The results are as follows. First, the types of participation motive to life-long education were sorted out as the action-oriented motive, goal-oriented motive and learning-oriented motive. Second, The education satisfaction was affected positively by the learning-oriented motive. Third, the action-oriented and learning-oriented motive affect the perception degree to the successful aging positively. Forth, The education satisfaction degree affect the perception degree to the successful aging positively.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the aging anxiety, factors of successful aging, and preparation for aging in early and late middle-aged people. Methods: The study subjects were 140 middle-aged people aged from 40 to 59. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire from August 16 to September 30, 2013. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test and Pearson correlation coefficient using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Between early and late middle age, there were statistically significant differences in the subcategories of aging anxiety: fear of loss (t=2.93, p=.004), fear of old people (t=-2.33, p=.021), physical appearance (t=2.32, p=.022), and psychological concerns (t=2.04, p=.043). A statistically significant difference was found between two groups in one subscale of preparation for aging: physical preparation (t=-2.02, p=.045). In early midlife, significant associations were observed between preparation for aging and both aging anxiety (r=.56, p<.001) and factors of successful aging (r=.54, p<.001). In late midlife, preparation for aging and factors of successful aging showed positive correlation (r=.50, p<.001) Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that programs for successful transition to old age in middle-aged people should consider their aging anxiety level and preparation for aging at their stage of life.

The capital of investment of SOC projects is too large to be taken charge of a country. The government introduces the private investment like a BTL project because of the limited national resources. However, even the company which wants order constructions, do not consider the fundamentals such as accurate estimation, capability of construction company and construction period. The purpose of the research is to suggest the basic influential factors for obtaining a BTL project and offers the concludes for the successful operation after the contract. The result of the research is followed. 54 effect successful factors are compressed into 11 principle factors by analysis on those 54 factors, CSFs of BTL business are constructed. Regression analysis is induced by variable of primary success factors and success degree, and derives the influence degree of effect successful factors in business. Regression analysis that is mentioned above showed considerable issues from importance of primary factors, prime cost fluctuation factors and comparison of management-level. So this study could suggest the effective operate plan of BTL business.
Various geophysical methods have been applied to the survey of the lava tunnel of Manjanggul in Cheju Island to study the effectiveness of each method in investigating underground tunnels. The surveys employing gravity, magnetic, electrical, AMT and VLF methods were carried out along seven profiles across the Manjanggul; especially, all the five methods were used on one representative profile. Several aspects of different methods pertinent to their use in investigation of underground tunnels have been noted. The electrical method employing the dipole-dipole array appeared to be the most effective one among five methods. Therefore, we have tested the electrical method more carefully by using various electrode spacings, and obtained successful resistivity sections showing the existence of lava tunnels. The gravity method provided relatively successful responses associated with the tunnel although the gravity readings were contaminated by wind blowing during the survey. The gravity data were also useful for the quantitative modeling study. The magnetic data were also successful in delineating the tunnel qualitatively. The AMT data were not successful because the used frequency band was not appropriate in detecting very shallow target. The VLF data were severely influenced by the neighboring noise sources such as power lines and were not successful in detecting the tunnel responses. The comprehensive result of electrical, gravity and magnetic surveys suggests that undiscovered lava tunnels may exist adjacent to the Manjanggul.
