Objectives : With recent improvements in neuroimaging and the development of third and fourth-generation radiosurgical dose-planning soft ware, came a renewed interest in using radiosurgery for the treatment of movement disorders. Radiosurgery involves no opening of the cranium and no incisions, eliminating both the risk of hemorrhage from passing an electrode to the depths of meningitis from operative infection. It is for these reasons stereotactic radiosurgical treatment of movement disorders has value in a small subgroup of patients. The authors report four cases of Parkinson's disease and one case of dystonia that were treated by Gamma knife. Methods : Radiosurgical nucleus ventralis intermedius thalamotomy using the gamma knife unit was performed to make lesion in two Parkinson's disease patients. A radiation dose of 120Gy was delivered to nucleus using a single 4-mm collimator plug pattern following classic anatomical landmarks. Patients were followed for a median of 10.5 months(range 9-12 months). An independent neurological evaluation of tremor, based on the change in the United Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale tremor score(UPDRS), was correlated with a subjective evaluation. Gamma knife ventrolateral(V.O.P) thalamotomy was performed in one case of dystonia. A central dose of 150Gy was delivered and the patient was followed for 18 months. Gamma knife globus pallidus interna pallidotomy was performed in two Parkinson's disease patients. A radiation dose of 130Gy(range 120-140Gy) was delivered. Patients were followed for a median of 13 months(range 9-14 months). Result : Ventrolateral thalamotomy in dystonia produced regained left hand usage in order to be able to use the telephone. Ventralis intermedius thalamotomy produced an excellent improvement of the tremor in one case, mild improvement of the tremor in the other case of Parkinson's disease. A globus pallidus internalis(GPi) pallidotomy produced improvement of rigidity and dyskinesia : one other showed no change. There were no neurological complications. Conclusion : Gamma Knife thalamotomy considered a safe and effective technique for the treatment of tremor in Parkinson's disease. Although the results from Longer follow-up is not available yet, the short-term results seem to be encouraging.
Recently, studies on cognitive control revealed that the optimal level of control is determined on the basis of reward and cost. The value of reward can be subjective and therefore, the optimal control strength can vary accordingly. The inconsistent effect of aging on cognitive control can be the result of flexible adjustment of control signal strength made by the older subjects. In other words, the elderly people maintains the ability to set the optimal level of control, which is known as the function of the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex. On the other hand, the age-related decline in cognitive control is obvious in rule maintenance and inhibition, which has to do with the function of lateral prefrontal cortex. In this study, we had young and old adults perform go-no go task and compared the behavioral and neural results for different reward conditions. Both age groups showed the best performance and the largest ERN amplitude when the reward was most appealing to them. And there was no age effect in ERN amplitude even though older adults' d' and accuracy was inferior to younger participants. These findings suggest that the effect aging on different cognitive control processes can be asymmetric.
The purposes of this study are to evaluate mechanical properties and sensibility of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener, and to contribute to the research and development of the bedclothes made of the tencel jacquard fabrics. Mechanical properties and objective fabric hand evaluation were measured by using KES-FB system. Subjective sensibilities such as sensory, touch, and purchasing preference were estimated by using blind field test. The tensile properties such as EM, WT, and RT of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener showed increase. Bending properties and shear properties were decreased, but compression properties were increased compared to untreated fabric. With ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener treatment, thickness and weight were increased. Therefore, tencel jacquard fabrics became more stretchable, softer, and bulkier than untreated fabrics. Consequently, THV of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener were increased. When fabrics were treated sequentially with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener, fabrics were estimated softer, more flexible, and bulkier than untreated fabrics. Also, tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener were estimated to have good touch and preference.

In this study, we investigated the cases where there were many opinions in the judgment of the cause of ignition in the case of 20 cases of frozen warehouse fire that occurred in 2017.The research methodology is the scientific fire survey method prescribed by the NFPA 921 CODE. Scientific fire investigation method is fire investigation method by logical reasoning through hypothesis setting, minimizing errors in judgment of ignition source. On the other hand, unscientific fire investigation methods cause many errors by the intervention of irrational factors such as subjective estimation, reasoning judgment, etc. This eventually leads to the problem of human and material responsibility and academic deterioration. In particular, fire not seen as compared to sighted fire makes more errors in ignition sources in the cause investigation. In this study, we set the hypothesis A and hypothesis B based on the review of the fire investigation report and the field survey on the fire case of the cold storage warehouse front line that occurred at ** city ** Mart in 2017.The set hypothesis was tested by the NFPA 921 code. This analytical method will be constructed by NEW Paradigm as a source of fire that is not seen in the future and a source of ignorant fire.In addition, the experimental data of this study will be used to inform the manufacturer and operator of the refrigeration warehouse and serve as basic data for fire prevention.

Today's complicated society with a rapid change needs more objective and accurate data for the better managerical decisions and the prospect for the future other than the intuition or subjective experience by men themselves. These data can't be extracted without the analysis of actual data by a n.0, pplying any of mathematical techniques. One of these mathematical techniques, called bibliometrics has been newly developed in the field of library and information science to extract the objective data for the better services through the library operations. The Beadford's Law, one important law in bibliometrics has provided rather scientific and objective basis on the more valid building of library collection within the constraints of budget. The purpose of the study is to investigate the theory of the Bradford's Law, to clarify the possible areas of its a n.0, pplication, and to discern some problems in doing so. The results of the study can be summarized as follows; (1) There is certain difference between the graphical formulation and verbal formulation of Bradford's Law. But this law is very useful for the field of library and information science, owing to the flexibility of the a n.0, pplication of the law in the field. (2) The minimal nucleus can consist of a single periodical only if j, the number of relevant papers in the most productive journals is greater than Z/2. On the other hand, if j is less than or equal to Z/2, then the minimal nucleus will consist of 2 or more periodicals. (3) It is possible to design the most compact selection of scientific periodicals covering any specified percentage P among the total periodicals by using the formulation, log n=Plog N+(1-P)logs, or Nlog N/s=P center dot N log N/s. (4) If there is need to provide all the articles needed by users the given budget, the library can purchase the proper number of journals, by using the formulation, f center dot AN=An+PN (log N/s-logn/s). (5) In the building of the library collection based on the decreasing ratio of use, the library can subscribe to the proper number of journals according to the satisfactory degree of the need, by using the formulation, f=Nu+uNlogN/S-uNlogn/s / nNlogN/s = 1+logN/m /logN/s (6) If the order of valuable journals is decided according to the frequency of being cited, the order can't always represent the value. (7) The evaluation criteria for the journals with high value, but less cited should be made a further study.

In this study, we investigated the processes of analogy change and the characteristics of discussions in collaborative activity of self-generated analogy. Twenty-four high school students in Seoul participated in this study. We implemented science instructions based on collaborative activity of self-generated analogy. We compared personal analogies, group analogies, and modified group analogies in order to analyze the processes of analogy change. We also analyzed the characteristics of group and classroom discussions in the science instructions. The analyses of the results indicated that the processes of analogy change were categorized into three patterns; adding shared attributes, recognizing unshared attributes, and revising mapping errors. They selected a group analogy from analogies of their group members by considering inclusiveness, originality, and familiarity. They perceived the activity of self-generated analogy as subjective and creative. Therefore, they felt little pressure of self-generated analogy and there were little conflicts in group discussions. On the other hand, various analogies were suggested in classroom discussions and the competitive atmosphere of classroom discussions led students to focus on unshared attributes. At the stage of modifying group analogies, they added unshared attributes as limitations of the group analogy and changed their group analogy not to have unshared attributes. There were no cases of generating a new analogy. Some suggestions to implement collaborative activity of self-generated analogy in science teaching effectively are discussed.

1. Objectives Among many symptoms that the climacteric patients complain of, the major subjective symptom is both heat in the upper part and cold in the lower part of the body(e.g foot, knee, and leg). We use DITI as a method to prove the symptoms of climacteric patients such as both heat in the upper part and cold in the lower part of the body, diagnose these symptoms, and follow up the progress of the clinical treatments. 2. Subjects and Methods We compare the subcutaneous heat of the climacteric patients with the symptom of heat in the upper part and cold in the lower part of the body with young women without any specific disease. The age distribution of the experimental group is 28 patients in 40's, and 22 in 50's. The mean age of the experimental group is $48.5{\pm}4.25$. The age distribution of the control group is 17 patients in teen, 26 in 20's, 7 in 30's. The mean age of the control group is $23.31{\pm}6.45$. We measure the subcutaneous heat on the cheeks, upper arms, palms, thighs, knees, dorsum pedis, lower back, hip, upper abdomen, lower abdomen of both groups and analyse the results. 3. Statistical methods All the results are statiscally analysed using student T-test of Microsoft Exel program. Statistically significant value by the analysis of variance procedure is P<0.05. 4. Results 1. The subcutaneous heat of the whole body of the experimental group shows hypothermia compared with control group, and the hypothermic pattern gets severe on the periphery. ${\Delta}T$ between the right and left side of the body in experimental group is larger than that of control group. 2. ${\Delta}T$ between the cheeks and the hypogastric in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group, which shows cold face. 3. ${\Delta}T$ between the upper arms and the palms in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group, which shows cold hand. 4. ${\Delta}T$ between the thighs and the knees in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group, which shows cold knee. 5. ${\Delta}T$ between the thighs and the feet in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group, which shows cold foot. 6. ${\Delta}T$ between the hip and the lower back in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group. That shows the Lower back is warmer than the hip. 7. ${\Delta}T$ between the upper and the lower abdomen in the experimental group is significantly larger than that of the control group, which shows cold hypogastric.
Objective : The purpose of the research is to investigate Korean occupational therapists' awareness of Evidence-Based Practice(EBP), basis of clinical decision making, barrier factors of EBP execution. Methods : Form December 2009 to March 2010, 500 questionnaires were sent out to clinical occupational therapists and 160 questionnaire which are returned by the therapists were analyzed through descriptive statistics. Results : There are more female respondents than male. More than 90% of them had less than 5 years experience. Most of respondents hadn't experienced education concerning EBP(76%), and the education is not periodically conducted(55%). Moreover, treatment was being tailored based on subjective judgement. On the other hand, the degree of recognition showed that the professionalism of occupational therapists can be improved through EBP(96%), and be helpful to make clinical decision(88%). Most of the therapists answered that guaranteeing enough time to search the basis of treatment(90%) and participating in the education course(92%) is needed to make EBP applicable. This result shows that while the application rate of EBP is low, the recognition rate of EBP is high, which means it is necessary to revitalize EBP education program. Conclusions : In order to provide quality service, education course and instructor training program is needed. We should also make a great effort to offer evidence-based education to occupational therapy students. Furthermore, EBP has to be carried out to improve the professionalism of occupational therapists, and the research about education program and its effect has to be executed.
Conventional pap smear (CPS) examination has been the mainstay for early detection of cervical cancer. However, its widespread use has not been possible due to the inherent limitations, like presence of obscuring blood and inflammation, reducing its sensitivity considerably. Automated methods in use in developed countries may not be affordable in the developing countries due to paucity of resources. On the other hand, manual liquid based cytology (MLBC) is a technique that is cost effective and improves detection of precursor lesions and specimen adequacy. Therefore the aim of the study was to compare the utility of MLBC with that of CPS in cervical cancer screening. A prospective study of 100 cases through MLBC and CPS was conducted from October 2009 to July 2010, in a Medical College in India, by two independent pathologists and correlated with histopathology (22 cases). Morphological features as seen through MLBC and CPS were compared. Subsequently, all the cases were grouped based on cytological diagnosis according to two methods into 10 groups and a subjective comparison was made. In order to compare the validity of MLBC with CPS in case of major diagnoses, sensitivity and specificity of the two methods were estimated considering histological examination as the gold standard. Increased detection rate with MLBC was 150%. The concordance rate by LBC/histopathology v/s CPS/histopathology was also improved (86% vs 77%) The percentage agreement by the two methods was 68%. MLBC was more sensitive in diagnosis of LSIL and more specific in the diagnosis of inflammation. Thus, MLBC was found to be better than CPS in diagnosis of precursor lesions. It provided better morphology with increased detection of abnormalities and preservation of specimen for cell block and ancillary studies like immunocytochemistry and HPV detection. Therefore, it can be used as alternative strategy for cervical cancer prevention in limited resource settings.
This study was examined 718 workers who had consistent blood pressure results in 2001 and 2002 general health examinations that were held at a work places managed by a health care agency in Seoul. Significant results are found as follows by analysing SPSS 11.0 on the result of self-recorded questionnaires investigated from Mar 1, 2003 to April 30, 2003. 1. A sampled healthy group and a sampled unhealthy group had significant differences in four variables out of possible nineteens that are sex, age, marriage and occupation. The unhealthy group had more males than females, more aged (over 50 years old) than youngers (under 50 years old), more married than singles, more manufacturing workers than non-manufacturing workers. In the case of systolic blood pressure, as the healthy group had 16.52mmHg while that of the other group had 149. 58mmHg, 33.06mmHg of difference between those groups were detected. In the case of diastolic blood pressure, 74.93mmHg of the healthy group and 96.53mmHg of the unhealthy group yielded 21.60mmHg of difference between them. This result implies that a guidance of health care is required to be aware of 20-30mmHg volatility in blood pressure rate or to understand and treat properly own blood pressure. as it is difficult to detect hypertension in early stage due to no initial symptom. According to the result. an establishment of management system of workers, companies and health care agencies is required for consist health care. 2. In terms of risky habits to health, the unhealthy group had more proportion of past smokers, over-twice-a-week drinkers, people with higher obesity rate. However, in terms of excercise, the proportion of regularly exercising people is higher in the unhealthy group while that of non-exercising people is higher in the healthy group. On the other hand. the average grade of health practicing behaviour in two groups are not significantly different as the health group had 3.00 out of possible 6.00 while the other had 3.10. This result means that as workers are not interested in health practicing behaviour. health promoting programmes must be developed in such a way of various method of motivations and incentives. Particularly this implies that distortional objectives of exercises should be readjusted through health guidance. 3. Systolic blood pressure in the healthy group can be explained by sex and the obesity rate while that in the unhealthy group can be explained by subjective health awareness and the obesity. Diastolic blood pressure in the healthy group can be explained by sex and the obesity rate like the former. The obesity rate was significant variable affecting the blood pressure of both groups, and particularly the effect to the unhealthy group was remarkably higher than that to the healthy group. Therefore, this research identified that the health care on the blood pressure of workers is not only limited to hypertension patients, but also extended to all workers. In order for consistent care, an establishment of management system of workers, companies and health care agencies is required.
