온도 손실의 최소화를 위해 Sub-Frame 제어 기법을 적용한 적외선 영상 투사기용 신호입력회로 (A Read-In Integrated Circuit for IR Scene Projectors Adopting a Sub-Frame Control Technique for Minimizing the Temperature Loss)

  • 본 논문에서는 30 Hz의 프레임률로 동작하는 적외선 영상 투사기 (IR scene projector, IRSP)에서 투사되는 적외선 영상의 유효온도 감소를 최소화하기 위해 sub-frame 제어 기법을 적용한 IRSP용 신호입력회로 (read-in integrated circuit, RIIC)를 제안한다. 제안하는 sub-frame 제어 기법은 단위 프레임을 8개의 sub-frame으로 나누어 동일한 영상 데이터를 8회 refresh함으로써 픽셀 내 커패시터에 sampling된 영상 데이터가 유지 기간 동안 MOSFET 스위치를 통한 누설 전류로 인해 손실되는 정도를 감소시킨다. Emitter에서 투사되는 적외선 영상의 높은 유효온도를 위해 전류 구동형 RIIC를 설계하였으며, 외부의 DAC로부터 아날로그 전압 형태의 영상 데이터를 전송 받는다. 시제품 $64{\times}32$ RIIC array 칩은 매그나칩/SK하이닉스 $0.35{\mu}m$ 2-poly 4-metal CMOS 공정으로 제작되었으며, 출력 가능한 최대 데이터 전류는 $230.3{\mu}A$이다. 이를 $15k{\Omega}$의 저항 값을 갖는 시제품 emitter 소자에 인가할 시 mid-wavelength IR (MWIR) 대역을 기준으로 최대 $366.2^{\circ}C$의 유효온도를 갖는 적외선 영상의 투사가 가능하다.

  • This research is concerned with the application of the active linear actuator to the active vibration control of structure. The active linear actuator will be mounted on the sub-frame so that it can cancel the excitation transferred from the engine. Accelerometer mounted on the sub-frame detects the vibration and its signal is fed into the DSP controller where the control algorithm is installed. The output of the DSP controller is connected to the driver which amplifies the DSP output. In general, the pulse width modulation power amplifier is used to drive the voice-coil type actuator. This study shows the dynamic characteristics of the active linear actuator and active vibration control experimental results.

서브 블록을 이용한 MPEG-2 인트라 프레임의 시간적 오류 은닉 (Subblock Based Temporal Error Concealment of Intra Frame for MPEG-2)

  • The occurrence of a single bit error in transmission bitstream leads to serious temporal and spatial errors. Because moving picture coding as MPEG-2 based on block coding algorithm uses variable length coding and motion compensation coding algorithm. In this paper, we propose algorithm to conceal occurred error of I-frames in transmission channel using data of the neighboring blocks in decoder. We divide a damaged macroblock of I-frame into four sub blocks and compose new macroblock using the neighboring blocks for each sub block. We estimate the block with minimum difference value through block matching with previous frame for new macroblocks and replace each estimated block with damaged sub block in the same position. Through simulation results, the proposed algorithm will be applied to a characteristic of moving with effect and shows better performance than conventional error concealment algorithms from visual and PSNR of view.

  • It is known that bogie frame must have sufficient stiffness for car body and passenger weight and transfer traction and braking force, and as of today most studies and verifications are restricted to static and fatigue analysis for force acted on bogie frame. Bogie frame is mounted with equipments to control the signal, traction and so on, this equipment's behavior is subjected to vibration mode occurs on running condition. If the resonance occurs on this equipment, the possibility of crack occurrence on bracket connected with equipment and bogie frame will be increased. In this paper, the method of vibration strength verification for bracket attached on bogie frame will be introduced by using frequency response method.

단면 분석을 통한 자동차용 리어 서브-프레임 하이드로포밍 부품의 공정 제어 및 설계 (Hydro-forming Process Control and Design Concept of Automotive Rear Sub-frame Components Through Cross Sectional Analysis)

  • 하이드로포밍 기술은 지난 20년간 자동차부품의 적용을 중심으로 비약적인 발전을 해 왔다. 이 기술은 자동차 산업응용분야에 많은 장점을 가지고 있는데 이는 더 나은 구조적 강건성, 부품수 감소에 기인한 비용절감, 재료절약, 무게감소, 낮은 스프링백현상, 개선된 강도, 내구성 향상, 설계 유연성 등이다. 하이드로포밍 부품의 성형성 검토를 위하여 다양한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 기술 등이 발달해 왔으며 이를 통해 성형 가능성을 검토하는 것과 동시에 성형을 위하여 벤딩 공정, 프리포밍공정, 다이클로징 공정 등의 효율적인 공정을 수립하여 하이드로포밍 부품들을 설계하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 하이드로포밍 부품 설계 시 고려사항 중 성형량, 부품의 단면길이(하이드로포밍 프레스 용량에 맞는), 최소 곡률(하이드로포밍 압력에 따른 곡률 영향 평가) 등을 제시하고 실제 자동차용 리어 서브-프레임 부품의 단면분석을 실시함으로써 하이드로포밍 성형을 위한 설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 아울러 하이드로포밍 공정인자 중 프리벤딩, 축피딩, 유압 압력, 프레스 하중, 마찰 등의 효과를 분석하여 이들 공정이 직접적인 하이드로포밍 성형에 필요인자 인지 등을 고찰하였다.

Anti-sparse representation for structural model updating using l norm regularization

  • Finite element (FE) model based structural damage detection (SDD) methods play vital roles in effectively locating and quantifying structural damages. Among these methods, structural model updating should be conducted before SDD to obtain benchmark models of real structures. However, the characteristics of updating parameters are not reasonably considered in existing studies. Inspired by the l norm regularization, a novel anti-sparse representation method is proposed for structural model updating in this study. Based on sensitivity analysis, both frequencies and mode shapes are used to define an objective function at first. Then, by adding l norm penalty, an optimization problem is established for structural model updating. As a result, the optimization problem can be solved by the fast iterative shrinkage thresholding algorithm (FISTA). Moreover, comparative studies with classical regularization strategy, i.e. the l2 norm regularization method, are conducted as well. To intuitively illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a 2-DOF spring-mass model is taken as an example in numerical simulations. The updating results show that the proposed method has a good robustness to measurement noises. Finally, to further verify the applicability of the proposed method, a six-storey aluminum alloy frame is designed and fabricated in laboratory. The added mass on each storey is taken as updating parameter. The updating results provide a good agreement with the true values, which indicates that the proposed method can effectively update the model parameters with a high accuracy.

Spatial target path following and coordinated control of multiple UUVs

  • The coordination control of multiple Underactuated Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) moving in three dimensional space is investigated in this paper. The coordinated path following control task is decomposed into two sub tasks, that is, path following control and coordination control. In the spatial curve path following control task, path following error dynamics is build in the Serret-Frenet coordinate frame. The virtual reference object can be chosen freely on the desired spatial path. Considering the speed of the UUV, the line-of-sight navigation is introduced to help the path following errors quickly converge to zero. In the coordination control sub task, the communication topology of multiple UUVs is described by the graph theory. The speed of each UUV is adjusted to achieve the coordination. The path following system and the coordination control system are viewed as the feedback connection system. Input-to-state stable of the coordinated path following system can be proved by small gain theorem. The simulation experiments can further demonstrate the good performance of the control method.

서브모델링 기법을 이용한 철도차량 복합재 대차프레임의 금속재 체결부 볼트 위치 최적화 해석 연구 (A Study on Optimum Design Analysis of Bolt Locations for Metal Joint Parts of Railway Composite Bogie Frames using Sub-modeling Method)

  • 본 논문은 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재와 PVC 폼 코어로 제작된 철도차량용 복합재 대차프레임의 금속재 체결부 볼트 위치 최적화 연구에 대해 서술했다. 최적화 해석은 APDL(Ansys Parameter Design Language)을 이용한 서브모델링 기법을 적용하였으며 부분문제 근사방법에 의한 최적화를 수행하였다. 이때, 최적화 해석에 적용된 서브모델링 기법은 관심영역을 포함한 부분모델에 대한 계산을 재수행 함으로써 해석에 소요되는 시간을 절약하고 상세한 결과를 도출 할 수 있다. 복합재 대차프레임의 구조해석은 JIS E 4207에 의거하여 수행하였다. 서브모델링 기법을 적용한 복합재 대차프레임의 최적화 해석은 전체모델에 대한 결과에 비해 요소망 밀도의 조절을 통한 해석시간 절약과 상세한 결과를 얻을 수 있으며, 또한 볼트위치의 최적화로 인해 보다 낮은 Von-Mises 응력값이 나타남을 확인하였다.

Nonlinear control of a 20-story steel building with active piezoelectric friction dampers

  • A control algorithm combining viscous and non-linear Reid damping mechanisms has been recently proposed by the authors to command active friction dampers. In this paper, friction dampers and the proposed algorithm are applied to control the seismic responses of a nonlinear 20-story building. Piezoelectric stack actuators are used to implement the control algorithm. The capacity of each damper is determined by the practical size of piezoelectric actuators and the availability of power supply. The saturation effect of the actuators on the building responses is investigated. To minimize the peak story drift ratio or floor acceleration of the building structure, a practical sequential procedure is developed to sub-optimally place the dampers on various floors. The effectiveness of active friction dampers and the efficiency of the proposed sequential procedure are verified by subjecting the building structure to four earthquakes of various intensities. The performance of 80 dampers and 137 dampers installed on the structure is evaluated according to 5 criteria. Numerical simulations indicated that the proposed control algorithm effectively reduces the seismic responses of the uncontrolled 20-story building, such as inelastic deformation. The sub-optimal placement of dampers based on peak acceleration outperforms that based on peak drift ratio for structures subjected to near-fault ground motions. Saturation of piezoelectric actuators has adverse effect on floor acceleration.
