남강유역 지류·지천별 영향도 평가 (The Estimation of Contribution Ratio for Sub Stream in Nam River Basin)

  • The relations between tributaries and mainstream were identified with the water qualities measurements in the field. Parameters of water qualities were BOD, T-N, T-P and measurements were performed by 4 events of rainfalls for 2011. The precipitation data influenced on pollutants loads. Pollutants loads were fluctuations with the seasonal variation. Gajoacheon contributed in 18.39% of BOD, 23.79% of T-N, 15.23% of T-P and Nabulcheon contributed in 13.54% of BOD, 13.05% of T-N and 13.66% of T-P in the region from Nam River_C to Nam River_D. In case of the region from Nam River_C to Nam River_D, Yongacheon river inflowed to main stream as 23.65% of BOD, 20.74% of T-N, and 15.05% of T-P.

  • A CELTHYM(CEll-based Long-term HYdrologic Model), a pre-processor and a post-processor that can be integrated with geographic information system(GIS) were developed to predict the stream flow from the small agricultural watershed on the daily basis. The CELTHYM calculates the direct runoff from a grid using SCS curve number method and then sum up all of cells with respect to a sub-catchment area belonged to a stream grid and integrated to an outlet. Base flow of a watershed outlet was computed by integrating of the base flow of each stream grid that was averaged the sub-catchment deep-percolation and calculated with the release rate. Two kind of water budget equation were used to compute the water balance in a grid that was classified into not paddy field and paddy field. One of the two equation is a soil water balance equation to account the soil moisture of the upland, forest and excluding paddy field grid. The other is a paddy water balance equation for the paddy field, calculating the ponding depth, the effective rainfall, the deep percolation and the evapotranspiration.

  • V2O5-TiO2 catalysts were prepared by various methods. V2O5-TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel method with different drying conditions (aerogel and xerogel), and V2O5 supported on TiO2 obtained by sol-gel method with precipitation-deposition method and impregnation method. The performance of the V2O5-TiO2 catalysts was investigated for the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulfide in the stream containing both ammonia and excess water. All the catalysts showed good dispersion of vanadium and they had high H2S conversion with no or little production of sulfur dioxide. The V2O5-TiO2 aerogel catalyst prepared by sol-gel method with drying under super critical condition had the highest surface area which led to better catalytic activity compared to those by other synthesis methods.

경안천 내 질소 함량의 시공간적 변화와 기원 연구 (Study of Spatiotemporal Variations and Origin of Nitrogen Content in Gyeongan Stream)

  • 이 연구는 경안천 유역의 상류로부터 하류까지 본류와 하위 소유역의 배출 지점에서 관측되는 경안천 내 질소함량의 시공간적 변화를 이해하고, 이러한 질소류의 기원을 확인하고자 수행되었다. 2021년 11월부터 2022년 11월까지, 분기별 현장 조사와 실내 수질분석, 질산염과 붕소의 환경동위원소 분석을 수행하였다. 경안천의 유량지속곡선을 도출하여, 건조 기간(2021년 12월 중순부터 2022년 6월 중순)과 습윤 기간(2022년 6월 중순부터 11월 초까지)을 설정하였다. 연구 지역에서의 총 질소(T-N) 농도는 월단위 시간적 변동을 기준으로 할 때, 건조 기간에 속하는 1~2월에 농도가 가장 높았다가 5~6월까지 지속적으로 낮아진다. 홍수기인 7~9월 이후 T-N의 농도가 낮아지는 소유역 단위 최상류 지점들(Group 1: MS-0, OS-0, GS-0)과, 반대로 높아지는 경안천 본류와 소유역 하류 지점들(Group 2: MS-1~8, OS-1, GS-1)이 분리된다. 공간적으로, 경안천 본류의 T-N 농도는 상류에서 하류로 갈수록 증가하는 경향성을 보이지만, 소유역인 오산천과 곤지암천이 각각 합류되는 지점에서는 이들의 유입에 의해 본류의 T-N 농도 값에 의해 본류의 농도가 높아지거나 낮아지는 영향을 받고 있다. 환경동위원소비를 통해 모든 시료의 질소가 분뇨(manure) 기원으로 규명되었고, 수리화학적 특성의 변화와 T-N 농도의 변화에서 경안천으로 분뇨 기원의 질소가 유입될 수 있는 기작으로, (1) 축산단지의 분뇨, 폐수의 강우에 의한 유입, (2) 환경기초시설 방류수를 통한 유입, (3) 농업 활동 과정에서 축적된 질소류의 지하수 기저유출을 통한 유입 등이 제시되었다. 궁극적으로 경안천 유역의 수질관리는, 공간적 관점에서 지류를 포함하는 소유역 단위의 오염원 관리가 필요하며, 오염총량 관리 측면에서는 하천 유량의 수문성분을 구분하고, 각각 성분의 유량과 수질을 모니터링 할 수 있는 시스템의 구축과 운용이 선결되어야 한다.

낙동강 중류유역의 지역별 비점오염 특성 (The Regional Characteristics of Nonpoint Source Pollutant Loads in Mid-stream of Nakdong River)

  • The characteristics of non-point source pollutant loads in middle-stream of Nakdong River Were studied through analysis of pollutant loads of 8 sub-watersheds divided based on administrative district. The pollutant concentration of each sub-watershed was collected from Nakdong-River Water Research Institute and Daegu Regional Environmental Office, respectively. Pollution items analysed in this study were BOD, SS, T-N and T-P. High degree of non-point pollution was observed from Gumi, Goryeong, Gyeongsan, Daegu and Sungju, and pollution was usually increased during rainy season. This result indicates that a given pollution condition within the watershed can be more sensitive than location factor to the level of water quality. The main sources of non-point pollution were population and livestock, as well as landuse factor, and were found to significantly contribute to the water pollution. Alternative solutions for controlling pollution sources, therefore, should be provided to meet target levels of water quality in this region.

Eigenspace-based MLLR에 기반한 고속 화자적응 및 환경보상 (Fast Speaker Adaptation and Environment Compensation Based on Eigenspace-based MLLR)

  • Maximum likelihood linear regression (MLLR) adaptation experiences severe performance degradation with very tiny amount of adaptation data. Eigenspace- based MLLR, as an alternative to MLLR for fast speaker adaptation, also has a weak point that it cannot deal with the mismatch between training and testing environments. In this paper, we propose a simultaneous fast speaker and environment adaptation based on eigenspace-based MLLR. We also extend the sub-stream based eigenspace-based MLLR to generalize the eigenspace-based MLLR with bias compensation. A vocabulary-independent word recognition experiment shows the proposed algorithm is superior to eigenspace-based MLLR regardless of the amount of adaptation data in diverse noisy environments. Especially, proposed sub-stream eigenspace-based MLLR with bias compensation yields 67% relative improvement with 10 adaptation words in 10 dB SNR environment, in comparison with the conventional eigenspace-based MLLR.

오염총량관리를 위한 의사결정 지원시스템 적용 (Application of a Decision Support System for Total Maximum Daily Loads)

  • A decision support system, Watershed Analysis Risk Management Framework(WARMF), was applied to the Kyungan Stream watershed, a tributary of Lake Paldang, for calculation of total maximum daily loads(TMDL). The WARMF system was developed by Systech Engineering, USA, and has been successfully used in several watersheds, for TMDL studies. The study area was divided into 14 sub-basins, based on digital elevation model(DEM). The integrated watershed and stream model of WARMF was validated by flow and BOD data measured during the year of 1999. There were reasonable agreements between model results and field data, both in water flow and BOD. The validated Kyungan WARMF was extensively utilized to study the quantitative relationship between waste loads and receiving water quality. Based on TMDL guideline at Paldang Lake and Kyungan Stream, the water quality criterion were set to be 3.0mg/L, 3.5mg/L, and 4.0mg/L at the watershed outlet. The allowable waste loads of BOD, both from point and non-point sources, were determined at each water quality criterion. From this study, it was concluded that the WARMF provided several advantages over the conventional application of watershed and stream models for TMDL study, such as time variable simulations, multiple possible soutions, and reduction loads for goal water quality, etc.

목감천 유역 내 투수성포장과 빗물저류조의 유출량 저감 성능 분석 및 설치 우선 순위 결정 (Analysis of runoff reduction performance of permeable pavement and rain barrel in Mokgam stream basin and determination of installation priorities)

  • 본 연구에서는 목감천 유역에서 투수성포장(PP)과 빗물저류조(RB)의 설치에 의한 유출량 저감 성능 분석 및 유역 내 설치 우선순위를 결정했다. PP와 RB의 설치를 통한 최대 유출 저감 성능 도출을 위해 최적 설계인자를 결정했고, 최적 설계인자를 반영한 PP와 RB의 우수 유출 저감 성능을 비교했다. 유출량의 시계열 변화로부터 첨두유출량 발생 전에는 PP가, 첨두유출량 발생 후에는 RB가 유출량 저감에 더 우수한 성능을 나타냈다. PP와 RB의 설치에 따른 소유역 별 총 유출량, 첨두유출량 저감 성능을 비교한 결과, PP의 경우 유역면적이 큰 소유역에서 RB보다 더 높은 우수 유출저감 성능을 나타냈고 RB는 불투수면적 비율이 높은 지역에서 더 높은 성능을 나타냈다. PP와 RB의 우수 유출 저감 성능 평가 결과를 통해 목감천유역 내 두 시설의 설치 우선 순위를 결정했다. 그 결과, PP와 RB 모두 유역면적, 불투수면적 비율이 높은 소유역에서 높은 우선 순위가 나타났다. 또한 우수 유출 저감 성능 평가 순위와 유역특성 간 상관관계를 비교한 결과, 상위 25%의 우수 유출 저감 성능을 나타낸 소유역에서는 불투수면적외에도 유역의 형상 인자와 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 이를 통해 기존 도심 지역에 우수유출저감시설 설치 우선 순위 결정 시 불투수면적 비율과 함께 유역의 형상 인자를 함께 고려해야 함을 알 수 있다.

단기 홍수사상으로 인한 사행하천의 하상변동 수치모의 분석 (Numerical Analysis for Bed Changes at the Meandering Stream due to a Short Term Flood Event)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 사행도를 갖는 내성천 하도 구간에 대해 단기 홍수사상 발생시 나타나는 흐름과 하상변동 특성을 2차원 모형인 CCHE2D를 이용하여 분석하였다. 내성천 하도 구간은 사행도가 1.2, 1.6, 2.2인 3개 구간으로 나누어 흐름 및 하상변동 모의를 수행하였으며, 2011년 6월에 발생한 6일 동안의 홍수사상에 대해 모의를 수행하였다. 모의 결과, 사행도가 큰 구간에 비해 사행도가 1.5 미만인 구간에서 흐름 집중현상에 의한 평면적 유속차가 크게 나타났으며, 만곡부에서의 하상침식이 시간에 따라 더 크게 확대된 것을 알 수 있었다. 사행도가 1.5 미만인 구간에서는 최대홍수량이 발생했을 때 최대유속이 국부적으로 1.6 m/s에서 2 m/s 이상인 것으로 나타났다.

산지형 하천의 토양침식 및 토사유출량 산정 (Estimation of Soil Erosion and Sediment Yield in Mountainous Stream)

  • Jeju island, which is located along the moving path of typhoon, suffers from flooding and overflow by torrential rain. So abrupt runoff occurring, damages of downstream farm field and shore culturing farms are increasing. In this study, Oaedo stream, one of the mountainous streams on Jeju island, was selected as the basin of study subject and was classified into 3 sub-basins, and after the characteristics of subject basin, the soil erosion amount and the sediment delivery of the stream by land usage distribution were estimated with the use of SATEEC ArcView GIS, the sediment yield amount of 2000 and 2005 was analyzed comparatively. As a result of estimating the sediment yield amount of 2000, the three sub-basins were respectively 12,572.7, 14,080 and 157,761 tons/year. and sediment yield amounts were estimated as 35,172.9, 5,266 and 258,535 tons/year respectively in 2005. The soil erosion and sediment yield amount of 2005 using single storm rainfall were estimated high compared with 2000, but for sub-basin 2, the values rather decreased due to changes in land use, and the land coverage of 2005, since there are many classifications of land usage compared with 2000, enabling to reflect more accurate land usage condition, could deduce appropriate results. It is anticipated that such study results can be utilized as basic data to propose a direction to predict the amount of sediment yield that causes secondary flooding damage and deteriorates water quality within detention pond and grit chamber, and take action against damages in the downstream farm field and shore culturing farms.
