There are so many theories and arguments on the architectural design process. However, in the time of the environmental preservation, there is the need for the introduction of the systematic green design process because no existing design process theories could give the rational design tool far the integrated design with environmental factors. This study, through the literature survey, is on the new paradigm for the systematic approach to the integrated process of 'the Green Design'.

The underground space of urban entertainment center can do various roles for urban development. Especially, the design of underground space using natural elements is necessary to sustainable development of facilities. The purpose of this study is to propose the elements, characteristics and application around interior environmental design using natural elements in underground space of urban entertainment center. The research methods of this study are research references, survey and field-study. This study can be concluded as follows; First, the factors of interior environmental design using natural elements in underground space of urban entertainment center are 'landmarks expression of natural elements', 'introduction and planning of daylighting', 'planning of materials using natural images', 'planning of ecological footpath' and 'planning of energy recycling'. Second, pedestrian space and openspace considering regional context are necessary. Third, introduction of daylight and design of artificial lighting in underground space are needed to making eco-friendly environment. Fourth, landmark design using various natural elements in underground space is needed to provide eco-friendly amenity. Fifth, the interior environmental design using natural elements is needed to community space in underground space. Sixth, eco-friendly pedestrian space in underground space is necessary. Seventh, interior environmental design using natural elements is needed to the entrance of underground space of urban entertainment center.

This study started with the cognition of problem that design activities closely related to industries could cause damages to the environment. The purpose of this study was to suggest a new concept of fashion design for environment using pre-consumer textile wastes which are produced in cutting process and used to be disposed in landfill sites. To achieve the purpose of this study, the literatures about fashion design for environment were reviewed, and design process including design development, producing, and presentation was performed. As a result, three fashion designs for environment using textile wastes were suggested. The results of this study were followings. Using pre-consumer textile wastes, this study suggested realistic way of fashion design for environment which is not just showing environment image, but providing practical use as well as preventing the waste of resources. Second, through constructing textile wastes, both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional designs were possible, and unexpected effects created new value of beauty. Third, because the amount and type of pre-consumer textile wastes are unlimited, this fashion design for environment could be considered as continuous profit model.

This study is based on the Ecological Design Theories related with the Urban space planning. The purpose of this study is to propose the Urban Space Design Method in consideration of Ecological Environment. To achieve this purpose, Normative Theory Study which means Logical Analysis of Ecological Theories in the new field of Ecological Urban Design, is done in accordance with the object of this study. This results derived of this study are as follows: 1. Six(6)-Ecological Urban Planning Elements related with the purpose of this study, are clarified these are Land-use planning, Transformation planning, Plants and Living-thing Ecological System planning, A Culture planning related with water, Energy and resource planning, and Urban-amenity planning. 2. Urban Space Design Method in consideration of Ecological Environment is porposed by means of the Normative theroy study analysis and contents analysis related with Ecological Urban planning which contain Ecological Planning Elements.

With the rapid development of nowadays technologies, the environment of product development is experiencing structural changes than ever. Manufacturers are put under never-experienced pressures to launch their products in the market both faster and less expensively than their competitors while continuously improving product quality These pressures have given birth to so-called, Concurrent Engineering which is a systematic approach to the integrated, concurrent design of products and their related processes, including manufacture and support. Most manufactiring companies now recognize the importance of concurrent engineering and put heavy emphasis on the research and impementation of concurrent engineering. However, with this fundamental change in the process of product development, designers rarely pay attention to this newly demanding process. Designers still stay in the middle of process, satisfying their roles in dealing with aesthetic points of product. Designers badly need to incorporate the concept of concurrent engineering to design to design process and to adapt to this new environment. With these backgrounds, the study sets the objective to understand the nature of concurrent engineering and explore the possibility of it's application to industrial design. Particularly this study focuses on how the concept of concurrent engineering can be applied from the stage of form development to prototyping. At first, background, objectives, and scope of the study are discussed as an introductory part. It is followed by reviewing theories of concurrent engineering such as definition, history, technologies, examples, state of art and so on. Subsequently industrial design is viewed in terms of concurrent engineering and problems in industrial design are identified. Base on the findinss of precedent part of study, new process of industrial design incorporating concurrent engineering is developed. For the demonstration of new process, a case study of design of palm-top printer is introduced. Case study shows how the sketch, and forms can be transformed into prototyping with the simultaneous cooperation with engineering and other related specialists. Finally the study in summarized and future studies are prospected.

The purpose of this study is to develop furniture design for work space of Office based on the research of furniture design and the survey on the design of the office furniture. The office furniture Is designed in order to use the space flexibly and for the user design in the work space. The furniture type of solo worker on characteristic kinds of works should have a simple shape and it should be safe and easy to move because it has a structural function. The furniture in office should be designed in consideration of moveing line while working. The development of furniture in office which suit human body should be made in consideration of human factors and the study on furniture design in office. As above mentioned, to research and study on the furniture design of working furniture in office which reduces fatigue resulted from labor for office, human factors aspect should be considered, furthermore psychological, mental approach to Ideal solution should be made.

This study is written with a purpose to force the changes of way of life in the 21st century through recognizing an environment based on a correct ecological world-view, and to create environmental design of seeing the nature and humans as one organism. This study is focused especially in environmental design and written generally based on urban ecology, human ecology, cultural ecology, and plant ecology with this multi-interdisciplanary approach. To understand meaning of ecosystem by considering the theory of ecology for ecological approach of the environmental design, and to grope for possibility of applying environmental design by considering what to analyze and how to differenciate concept for ecological environmental plan from the mechanical design. Through this study it was realized that the ecological design starts from the recognition of seeing the humans and nature as a one and form being aware of significance of all the living things in our surrounding environment.

The purpose of this these is to study on the environmental design brand for the vitality of corporate image. To achieve the purpose of this study, the methods and contents are as follows: 1. Conforming the concept of the corporate environmental design brand. For that explaining the definition and the tradition of brand and the meaning of corporate identity and corporate environmental design system. 2. Explaining the factors of the corporate environmental design. For that 1) explaining the expression of the corporate identity 2) Explaining the expressive factors of the corporate identity. For that, studying the style and the theme. 3. Studying the cases of the corporate environmental design brand. By these methods and contents, we will study environmental design brand for the vitality of corporate image.

This study aims to design educational space that will respond to changing educational curriculum and creative educational activities. The study was conducted with user centered design method in which students and teachers who actually use space participate directly in space design, moving away from the one-sided approach by experts. The design of educational space, which is the subject of this study, was carried out by the opinions of users and the opinions of users were collected through the descriptive and mapping measure forms by analyzing previous researches and actual space cases on user centered design. Based on the opinions collected by the survey form, total four spaces, Type A, two Type B, and Type C, were designed. The fact that the user directly commented on the space plan to be used and actually participated in the space design would be helpful for users' deep interest in the results of this study and students' academic improvement.

The purpose of this study was to explore the theory behind creative engineering design instructional characteristics. This study was conducted as a literature review to derive engineering design instructional characteristics. The results showed that there are three primary characteristics: learner-centered instructional activities, collaborative communication interactions, and multidisciplinary convergence to promote creative thinking. This study was meaningful in that it identified creative engineering design instructional characteristics based theoretical considerations of engineering design and engineering design education. Therefore, it is expected that the results of this study will contribute to the development of creative engineering design instructional models.
