A parametrization for a linear system is presented to design a direct model reference adaptive pole placement controler. This parametrized model is one of the structured nonminimal models. The exponentially weighted least-squres algorithm is employed to estimate the control parameters. The direct adaptive controller has the exponential weighting properties by the proposed method of selecting the characteristic polynomials of the sensitivity function filters in connection with the reference models.

This article introduces a unified method of choosing the most explanatory and significant multiway partitions for classification tree design and analysis. The method is derived on the impurity reduction (IR) measure of divergence, which is proposed to extend the proportional-reduction-in-error (PRE) measure in the decision-theory context. For the method derivation, the IR measure is analyzed to characterize its statistical properties which are used to consistently handle the subjects of feature formation, feature selection, and feature deletion required in the associated classification tree construction. A numerical example is considered to illustrate the proposed approach.

사용자는 웹 검색을 통해 질의에 대한 정확한 답을 얻기를 원한다. 이를 위해서는 웹 문서에서 의미 있는 데이터들을 추출 및 가공하고, 해당 데이터로부터 사용자의 질의 결과를 얻어낼 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹 상의 HTML 테이블들을 구조화된 데이터베이스로 변환하고, 사용자의 질의에 대해 변환된 데이터베이스에서 질의 결과를 찾아주는 방법을 제안하고 이를 구현 및 성능 평가 하였다.

Three-dimensional imaging and manipulation of CT data are becoming increasingly important for deterRing the complex structure and pathologies. Octree which is a hierarchical data model is used to reconstruct three- dimensional objects from CT scans. Orthogonal cross sections are displayed by traverse the octree partially. Arbitrary oblique planes are derived by intersecting the square region of plane and cubic volume of octal node. Thia method enables the display of multi-structured complex organ ann the realization by personal computer.

The semantic and pragmatic effect of inerrogative illocutionary operator is analyzed in a dynamic setting in the framework of structured meaning representation with respect to the dialogue participants' shared common ground. I propose a framework for an optinal interpretation of focus phrases in terrogatives share the essential properties of focus in general, namely that they introduce alternatives to be taken advantage of by relevant focus-sensitive operators. The theory makes an interesting prediction on the distribution and interpretation of double questions in which one question gets modified by another. A further extention of the theory is spelled out to account for other non-assertional illocutionary operators like imperatives and their foci.

차세대 전극 재료의 개발은 리튬 전지, 슈퍼 축전지, 전력 공급을 포함하는 에너지 저장 매체의 연구에 중심이 되는 요소이다. 이 가운데 금속황화물은 독특하고 우수한 특성 때문에 차세대 전극 재료로서 상당히 주목을 받고 있는 재료이다. 하지만 실제 응용 측면에 있어서 충 방전 관련된 속도와 안정성의 한계가 가장 큰 장애 요소이다. 이러한 한계를 극복하고자 나노구조화에 대한 연구가 집중적으로 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 금속황화물의 에너지 저장 매체로서의 연구 내용을 기술하였다.

This study delineates the preferences of elderly housing characteristics among a middle-aged population. The data were collected from an independent, random, age-stratified sample of house wives using structured questionaire and interview methods. The data were analyzed using a SAS statistics analysis program. The preferred way of living style and housing characteristics were investigated. Preferred housing characteristics were influenced by age, income, job and education. Education was the most powerful indicator for predicting the preferences.

The Pusan Clay is analyzed hereafter from a point of view of mineralogy and microstructure. Results indicate that the Pusan Clay is basically illitic in nature and that the soil microstructure reveals some characteristics which could be responsible for its brittle behavior as observed from sample disturbance. The overall analysis would tend to consider that the Pusan Clay profile analyzed here shows mechanical properties similar to well structured soils or so-called cemented soils.
