A modern and highly-sustainable addition to the skyline of Seoul, South Korea has been completed; the Federation of Korean Industries Headquarters (FKI). The signature saw-toothed exterior wall of the 245-meter tall tower and the contrasting smooth nature of the pipe-shell structured podium "egg" gives this project and site a unique identity in the city.

The paper discusses the problem of controlling systems with a very high number of input variables effectively by fuzzy If . . . then rules. The basic idea is the partition of the state space into domains, which step can be done even iteratively several times, and every domain has its own sub rule base referring to a considerably lower number of variables than the original space. In this manner the number of necessary rules is drastically reduced and time complexity of the control algorithm remains acceptable.

The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among life satisfaction of the elderly in poor health conditions, their self esteem, health and financial status, family relationships, and social participation. A structured questionnaire was used to interview 228 elderly who were randomly selected from Sungbuk-ku, Seoul. The regression analysis showed the most powerful predictors of life satisfaction of the poor-health elderly were self esteem, relationships with their adult children, perceived financial status, relationships with grandchildren, and the amount of allowances in that order These variables accounted for 39% of life satisfaction of the sample.

During the past few years, the productivity has been considered as one of the most important aims in developing softwares. Many practitioners and theorists are trying reuse ready made codes to increase the productivity of software development and the quality of their products. This paper introduces our experiences in developing a highly reusable class library and its reusing environment for building a database interface application. And the concepts, Structured Multi-Library and Dual Views of Class Inheritance, are also suggested, which consist our main conceptual framework in our work. Details in implementation are discussed in brief at the end.

A practical and robust control scheme is suggested for MIMO discrete time processes with real simple poles. This type of control scheme, having the advantages of both the adaptiveness and optimality, may be successfully applicable to structured dynamic controllers for plants whose parameters are slowly time-varying. The identification of the process parameters is under-taken in ARMA form and the optimization of the feedback gain matrix is performed in the state space representation with regard to a standard quadratic criterion.

웹에서 공개하는 정보의 많은 부분이 문자에 의존해서 제공되고 있으며, 이렇게 단어의 여러 형태로 구성된 웹 문서에서 원하는 정보를 찾아 추출하기 위한 노력은 다양하게 시도되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전자부품관련 정보 제공 사이트와 관련해서 텍스트 기반과 웹 문서가 갖는 특별한 형태의 태그를 포함하는 형태에서 테이블 형식의 정보 표현과 같이 반 구조적(semi-structured) 문서에서의 정보 추출 방법과 이를 적용한 시스템을 구성하여 정보 추출의 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

XML은 반 구조 데이터(semi-structured data)의 일종으로 데이터들이 정형화된 구조를 가지고 있지 않다는 것이 특징이다. 기존의 데이터베이스 시스템은 고정된 스키마를 통해 데이터를 저장 관리하기 때문에 정형화된 구조를 가지지 않는 XML 문서를 저장하기에는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 정형화된 구조를 가지지 못하는 XML문서를 효과적으로 저장하고 관리할 수 있는 저장장치를 구현하고 구현 사항에 대해 설명한다. 본 논문의 저장 장치는 XML을 DOM트리로 표현한 후 DOM트리의 각 노드를 객체로 만들어 저장한다. 본 논문의 저장 장치는 다중 사용자를 지원하기 위해 클라이언트 서버 구조로 구성되어 있으며 각 객체는 전용 파일, 관계형 시스템의 LDB등 다양한 하부 구조에 저장될 수 있다.

The wireless communication network is evolving toward the Personal Communication System to provide various multimedia services. In order to accomplish this goal, the effective schemes are required which can dynamically utilize the limited wireless resources based on traffic characteristics of each services. This paper proposes a novel call admission control scheme for the hierarchical macrocell/microcell structured PCS. It is based on the bandwidth reservation procedure performed in the macrocell or neighboring microcell. Its effectiveness is investigated by simulation.

Continuation은 운영체제의 실행 흐름을 최적화 하기 위한 수단으로 사용되어 왔다. 특히 Continuation을 이용하면 스택의 내용 없이, 특정 시점 이후의 프로세스의 연산을 그대로 수행 할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 하지만 이와 같이 스택에 저장된 정보를 사용하지 않을 경우 구조화된 예외 처리 방법(SEH)을 사용하는 운영체제에서는 Continuation을 바로 적용하기에 어려움이 존재한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, SEH를 위해 함수에서 수정한 스택의 내용을 저장해 두었다가 Continuation이 끝나고 스택을 복원하여 SEH가 올바르게 실행 되도록 하였다.
