Stereoselective attachment of S-Proline on Ge(100)

  • The adsorption configurations of S-proline on Ge(100) were studied using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), density functional theory (DFT) calculations, and high-resolution core-level photoemission spectroscopy (HRCLPES). We identified three adsorption structures of S-proline on Ge(100) through analysis of the STM images, DFT calculations, and HRCLPES results: (i) an 'intrarow O - H dissociated and N dative bonded structure', (ii) an 'O - H dissociation structure', and (iii) an 'N dative bonded structure'. Moreover, because adsorption through the N atom of S-proline produces a new chiral center due to symmetry reduction by N dative bonding, the adsorption configurations have either (R,S) or (S,S) chirality, yielding an (R,S)-'intrarow O - H dissociated and N dative bonded structure' and an (R,S)-'N dative bonded structure', with a preference for reaction at the Re face. This work presents a novel method for generating stereoselective attachment using S-proline molecules adsorbed onto a Ge(100) surface.

상충관계이론과 자본조달순위이론에 기초한 병원 자본조달행태 분석 (Hospital's Financing Behaviors Based on Comparative Analysis of Trade-off Theory and Pecking Order Theory)

  • Based on a previous literature about hospital capital structure(Shyam- Sunder & Myers, 1999), this study attempted comparison and analysis on whether the forecast of trade-off and pecking order theory could be validated in hospital's capital structure. First, this study analyzed whether hospitals follow the priority for each capital source as suggested by pecking order theory under lack of capital running in hospital. Next, it analyzed whether debt level is regressed on the average to target debt level so as to verify the validity of trade-off theory. Finally, it also analyzed possible associations between debt level and determinants of capital structure as adopted in static trade-off theory, so as to verify relative advantages of these two theories about hospital capital structure. The analysis over whole period showed that both trade-off theory and pecking order theory isn't supported particularly. This mean that each hospital's financing behaviors is different and that has not dominant financing behaviors. In the midst of separation of dispensary from medical practice, medical institutions in Korea first finances funds required using retained earnings and then use liabilities. however pecking order theory is supported, the preference of long-term liabilities and short-term liabilities is not clear. In addition, considering that debt level is in no average regression to target debt ratio, it is found that hospital capital structure following trade-off theory turns into that subject to pecking order theory via the separation of dispensary from medical practice.

클러스터링 기법을 이용한 개별문서의 지식구조 자동 생성에 관한 연구 (Automatic Generation of the Local Level Knowledge Structure of a Single Document Using Clustering Methods)

  • 이 연구에서는 전통적인 인쇄매체 환경에서 지식에 대해 지역적인 접근법을 제공하는 권말색인과 목차의 기능에 착안하여 용어 클러스터링 실험과 클러스터 대표어 선정 실험을 통해 개별문서의 지식구조 자동 생성 기법을 제안하였다. 자동 생성된 지식구조가 갖는 기능성을 평가하여 정보 검색 환경에서의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 용어 클러스터링 실험에서는 워드 기법의 성능이 중복 분류를 허용하는 퍼지 K-means 클러스터링 기법에 비해 높았으며, 클러스터 대표어 선정 기법으로는 단락빈도를 이용한 경우가 가장 좋은 성능을 나타냈다. 또한, 이용자 태스크를 기반으로 하여 최종적으로 생성된 지식구조의 기능성을 평가한 결과, 이 연구에서 자동 생성된 지식구조가 인쇄매체 환경에서의 권말색인과 목차가 갖는 기능을 어느 정도 수행한다는 것을 입증하였다.

알켄-오존 반응의 중간 생성물에 대한 ab initio 양자역학적 고찰 (Quantum Mechanical Investigation on the Intermediates of Alkene-Ozone Reaction)

  • 알켄-오존 반응에서 생성된 중간 생성물로써 primary ozonide (POZ),secondary ozonide (SOZ)그리고 carbonyl oxide의 분자구조, vibrational frequencies그리고 infrared(IR)스펙트럼의 세기 등에 대한 이론적 연구를 high level ab initio 양자역학적 방법(CISD,CCSD)을 사용하여 수행하였다. 일반적으로, polarization function은 결합각과 결합길이를 감소시키는 경향을 보였고 반면, electron correlation effect는 결합길이와 결합각을 약간 증가시키는 경향을 보이고 있다. Carbonyl oxide의 분자구조는 zwitterionic form이 diradical form보다 더 안정한 것으로 예측되었으며, 두 형태의 에너지는 차이는 TZ2P CISD level에서 약 22.4 kcal/mol인 것으로 계산되었다. 또한, POZ과 SOZ의 분자구조 및 harmonic vibrational frequencies들을 실험결과와 비교 분석하였으며 IR세기에 근거하여 각 vibrational mode를 assign 하였다.

도시하천 하도구조와 경관의 계절변화 - 춘천시 공지천을 중심으로 - (Seasonal Changes in Structure and Landscape of Urban Stream Corridor - In the Case of Gongji Stream in Chuncheon-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze seasonal changes in structure and landscape of Gongji stream corridor in Chuncheon, and to suggest some guidelines to contribute to creating a desirable close-to- nature stream. The study seasonally surveyed floodplain and revetment conditions, channel micro-topography, streamflow level and velocity, and vegetational cover. Flooding, water level, and vegetation were major factors of affecting seasonal changes in streambed structure and stream landscape. Small sand bars and islands were considerably disturbed by flooding and water level change. However, large islands and sand bars in the upper and middle section of the study stream remained or reappeared even after flooding. Flooding also tended to repeat channel sedimentation at the same spot. Controlling water volume of the Euiam Lake, which is adjacent to the study stream, caused higher water level downstream in the dry seasons. The majority of vegetation in sand bars and islands was washed away by the floods. Vehicle passing, crop cultivation, and ball game were other elements which disturbed vegetation in the floodplain. Creating a close-to-nature stream should reflect micro-topographical changes of channel by flooding, prevent improper vehicle entry and human use, and remove concrete material in the revetment and floodplain.

  • 우리 나라 환경에 적합한 국가 지능형 교통체계(ITS: Intelligent Transportation Systems)의 구현을 위한 국가 아키텍쳐 수립연구가 국토연구원과 관련 학계와 산업계의 협동연구로 지난 3년간 수행되어 천여 페이지에 달하는 국가 아키텍쳐가 수립된 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해서 고안된 도메인 수준과 논리 수준 및 물리 수준의 아키텍쳐 모형과 방법론을 제시한다. 도메인 수준의 아키텍쳐는 ITS를 구현함에 있어 관계되는 영역간의 국가적 협동체계를 이룩하기 위한 국가적 기본 틀이고 논리수준의 아키텍쳐는 서비스의 중복/사각/상충을 방지하기 위한 국가적 기본 틀이며 물리수준의 아키텍쳐는 서비스 시스템을 구축함에 있어 물리적 정보기술 자원을 효율적으로 할당하여 시스템 구축의 경제성과 효율성을 도모하기 위한 시스템의 물리적 구성 틀이다. 이를 위한 모델과 기법은 고전적 컴퓨터 기반 시스템공학에서의 프로세스 지향적 사고와 기법을 수정 보완하고 확장한 것으로 고 수준(High Level)에서의 아키텍쳐 구상에 적절한 것이다. 저 수준(Low Level)의 아키텍쳐는 설계 수준에서 이루어지는 것으로 전제하였다.

  • This paper describes fault diagnosis method in complex system with hierachical structure similar to human body structure. Complex system is divided into unit, item and component. For diagnosing this hierarchical complex system, it is necessary to implement special neural network. Fault diagnosis system can forecast faults in a system and decide from current machine state signal information. Comparing with other diagnosis system for single fault, the developed system deals with multiple fault diagnosis comprising Hierarchical Neural Network(HNN). HNN consists of four level neural network, first level for item fault symptom classification, second level for item fault diagnosis, third level for component symptom classification, forth level for component fault diagnosis. UNIX IPC(Inter Process Communication) is used for implementing HNN wiht multitasking and message transfer between processes in SUN workstation with X-Windows(Motif). We tested HNN at four units, seven items per unit, seven components per item in a complex system. Each one neural newtork operate as a separate process in HNN. The message queue take charge of information exdhange and cooperation between each neural network.

平坦氷荷重을 받는 細長形 해양구조물의 動的 거동 (Dynamic Responses of a Slender Offshore Structure Subject to Level Ice Load)

  • Regrading the development of offshore natural gas field near Sakhalin Island which is an ice-infested area, this study aims to estimate the dynamic ice load for construction of offshore structures operating in this region. In this paper the design ice load and dynamic responses of a slender Arctic structure upon continuous ice movement are sutdied. Crushing agter a certain elastic deformation is assumed as a primary failure mechanism at the contact zone between semi-infinite level ice edge and the face of structure. Dynamic interaction forces are calculated using a modified Korzhavin's equation and a two-dimensional ice-structure interaction model is adopted. To verify the numerical model, dynamic analysis is performed for on of the Baltic Sea channel markers whose response patterns were presiously observed.

  • Interface formation between $12CaO{\cdot}7Al_2O_3(C12A7:e^-)$ and Alq3 was investigated using in-situ ultra-violet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The work function and vacuum level shift of $C12A7:e^-$ were change by different surface treatment from 2.6eV to 4.2eV. Also vacuum level shift $(\Delta)$ at the interface were from +0.3eV to -0.3eV.

Prediction of Stand Structure Dynamics for Unthinned Slash Pine Plantations

  • Diameter distributions describe forest stand structure information. Prediction equations for percentiles of diameter distribution and parameter recovery procedures for the Weibull distribution function based on four percentile equations were applied to develop prediction system of even-aged slash pine stand structure development in terms of the number of stems per diameter class changes. Four percentiles of the cumulative diameter distribution were predicted as a function of stand characteristics. The predicted diameter distributions were tested against the observed diameter distributions using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov two sample test at the ${\alpha}$=0.05 level. Statistically, no significant differences were detected based on the data from 236 evaluation data sets. This stand level diameter distribution prediction system will be useful in slash pine stand structure modeling and in updating forest inventories for the long-term forest management planning.
