Hybrid Truss Bridge (HTB) uses steel truss webs instead of concrete webs in prestressed box girder bridges, which is becoming popular due to its structural benefits such as relatively light self-weight and good aesthetics appearance. Since the core technology of this bridge is the connection system between concrete slabs and steel truss members, several connection systems were proposed and experimentally evaluated. Also, the selected joint system was applied to the real bride design and construction. The research was performed on the connection system, since it can affect the global behavior of this bridge such as flexural and fatigue behaviors as well as the local behavior around the connection region. The evaluation study showed that HTB applied to a curved bridge or an eccentrically loaded bridge had a weak torsional capacity compared to an ordinary PSC box girder bridge due to the open cross-sectional characteristic of HTB. Therefore, three types of girders with different joint system between truss web member and concrete slab were tested for their torsional capacity. In this study, the three different types of HTB girders under torsional loading were simulated using FEM analysis to investigate the torsional behavior of HTB girders more in detail. The results are discussed in detail in the paper.

I-type girders are widely applied as very economical sections in plate girder bridges. There has been research on developing composite laminated panels, curved plates reinforced with closed-end ribs, and new forms of ribs and compression flanges for steel box girders. However, there is a limitation in analyzing the exact cause of local buckling caused by an I-type girder's webs. Therefore, an I-type girder's web was modeled using the finite element analysis program LUSAS 17.0 before and after reinforcement. We checked for the minimum thickness criteria presented in the Korea highway bridge design code, and the cause of buckling after performing a linear elastic buckling analysis of dead and live loads was analyzed. Before reinforcement, an eigenvalue (λ1) at the 1st mode was 0.7025, the critical buckling load was smaller than the applied load, and there is a buckling. After reinforcement, when applying vertical and horizontal stiffeners to the web part of the girder at support, a Nodal line was formed, the eigenvalue was 1.5272, and buckling stability was secured. To improve buckling trace of the girder at the support, an additional plate was applied to the web at the support to ensure visual and structural safety, but buckling occurs at center of web. The eigenvalue (λ1) was 3.5299, and this method is efficient for reinforcing the web of the support.
This study was conducted to provide basic data needed to calculate the crop loads for the greenhouse design. Four countries' crop loads for greenhouse structures were compared and the crop loads were measured directly and analyzed for various greenhouse crops, including tomato, strawberry, cucumber, and eggplant. According to the analysis results of four country's standards for the design crop loads, it was judged that the new design crop loads suit for greenhouse crops in our country should be suggested because our standards just used the design crop loads of other countries. The maximum crop loads per plant of tomato, cucumber, eggplant, and strawberry were 3.9, 0.75, 1.9 and $2.1kgf{\cdot}plant^{-1}$, respectively. The crop load per unit area of tomato was $8.5kgf{\cdot}m^{-2}$, which was much greater than the cucumber and eggplant's crop load of 2.1 and $2.4kgf{\cdot}m^{-2}$ respectively. The crop loads of tomato and cucumber, suggested by the greenhouse structure design standard of Korea, is $15kgf{\cdot}m^{-2}$, which is far greater than the values suggested by this research. It was judged that this was because our standard just used the Dutch standard, our crop load standard should be reviewed considering this difference. The crop load of strawberry, including the growing bed, was $21.0kgf{\cdot}m^{-2}$, which was much greater than the crop load in the Dutch standard.
Purpose - In case of automobile parts, there has been a lot of progress in the study on supplier development plans and SCM in industrial progress study as well as on the relationship between ERP and SCM. But supplier development program providers have researched on SCM performance in accordance with the interests of the supplier development program most, thus, buyers were knowledgeable about the earlier program performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to prove correlation factor, supplier factor, purchaser factor affecting SCM performance and ERP activating diffusion through the process of supplier development. Supplier development maturity formation model is considered important variables as mediators related to the procedure. Finally, the performance formation model of the supplier development maturity through supplier development factor would be presented as the outcome of this study. Research design, data, and methodology - Data gathering was as follows: questionnaires were delivered to 87 companies that have business connection with H Company. The empirical research to test our hypothesis was grounded on statistical analysis (adapting SPSS 19.0 & AMOS 19.0). The hypothesis is that the supplier development factor variables consist of correlation factor, supplier factor, purchaser factor, and have non-negative effects on the next variables: mediators such as supplier development maturity; and the supplier development maturity variables have a positive effect on the next variables: ERP activating diffusion, ERP activating diffusion has a non-negative effect on supply chain performance. Finally, ERP activating diffusion has significant impacts on SCM performance. This study makes a meaningful contribution to further appreciation on how supplier development maturity formation affects SCM performance. This study shows implications. First, there would not have been dealt with introducing the concept of supplier development maturity. Second, through empirical analysis and provider factors, the providers will develop the maturity that affect interactive factors between purchaser and supplier.

The failure of reactor internals may have a significant effect on the safe operation and shutdown of a reactor. Various agings related to neutron irradiation occur or can potentially occur in the reactor internals owing to high neutron irradiation levels. Austenitic stainless steel, one of the principal materials constituting the reactor internals, shows different mechanical material behaviors such as tensile/creep properties and fracture toughness with neutron irradiation levels. This variation should be considered when the structural integrity of the reactor internals against agings during the design lifetime or continued operation period is evaluated. In this study, user subroutine programs considering the variation of mechanical material behaviors with neutron irradiation levels were developed. The programs were validated by testing them for various conditions.
The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the behavior of a bridge substructure subjected to scouring during flood. A finite element (FE) study was carried out on a substructure modeled using the standard section specified for highway bridges. The three-dimensional FE model consists of non-linear springs with tri-axial load capacities at the base in order to consider the loss of bearing capacity of the substructure by local scour phenomenon. Various time varying loading conditions and scouring patterns were considered in the analysis. The results indicate a change in the structural behavior of substructure depending on the eroded area and pattern. The outcome of this research will be useful to suggest basic design guidelines for ground sills of the bridge substructure.
Recently, according to environmental regulations, the automobile industry has been conducting various research on the use of composite materials to increase fuel efficiency. However, there has not been much research on lightweight chassis components. Therefore, in this research, the purpose of this study is to apply composite materials to the sub-frame of chassis components to achieve equivalent levels of stiffness, strength, NVH performance and 50% lightweight compared to the steel sub-frame. First, the Natural frequency of steel and composite specimens was compared to the damping characteristics of composite materials. Then, in this study, the Lay-up Sequence was derived to maximize the stiffness and strength of the sub-frame by applying composite materials. And this lay-up Sequence is proposed to avoid heat shrinkage due to curing during manufacturing. This process was designed based on a FEM structural analysis, and a Natural frequency and frequency response function graph was confirmed based on a modal analysis. The prototype type composite sub-frame was manufactured based on the design and the F.E.M analysis was verified through a modal experiment. Furthermore, it was fitted to the actual vehicle to verify the natural frequency and the indoor noise vibration response, including idling and road noise. This result was confirmed to be equivalent to the steel sub-frame. Finally, the composite sub-frame weight was confirmed to be about 50% of the steel sub-frame.

Earthquakes are almost impossible to predict and take place in a short time. In addition, there is little time to take aggressive action when an earthquake occurs. Therefore, there are more casualties and property damage than with other natural disasters. Recently, earthquakes have been occurring all over the world. As the number of earthquakes increase, studies on the safety of structures are being carried out. On the other hand, there are few studies on the electric facilities, which are relatively non - structural factors. Currently, electrical equipment in Korea is often not designed for earthquake safety and is quite vulnerable to damage when an earthquake occurs. Therefore, in this study, modeling was conducted through ABAQUS similar to an actual cabinet panel and 3D dynamic nonlinear analysis was performed using a natural seismic. According to seismic zone I and normal ground rock conditions of the power transmission and transmission facility seismic design practical guide, the maximum response acceleration of the performance level was 0.157g. In this study, however, it was not safe to reach the limit state of 30% of the analytical result at 0.1g for the general cabinet panel. From the results, the seismic fragility curve was derived and analyzed. The derived seismic fragility curve is presented as a quantitative basis for determining the limit state of the cabinet panel and can be utilized as basic data in related research.
This paper is a part of a research aimed at the verification of basic design rules of high-strength concrete columns. A total of 32 column specimens were tested to investigate structural behavior and strength of eccentrically loaded reinforced concrete tied columns. Main variables included in this test program were concrete compressive strength. steel amount, eccentricity, and slenderness ratio. The concrete compressive strength varied from 356 kg/$cm^2$ to 951 kg/$cm^2$ and the longitudinal steel ratios were between 1.13 % and 5.51 %. Test results of column sectional strength are compared with the results of analyses by ACI rectangular stress block, trapezoidal stress block, and modified rectangular stress block. Axial force-moment-curvature analysis is also performed for predicting axial load-moment strength and compared with the test results. The ACI rectangular stress block provides over-estimated column strengths for the lightly reinforced high strength column specimens. The calculated strengths by moment-curvature analyses are highly affected by $k_3$ values of the concrete stress-strain curve. Observed failure mode. concrete ultimate strain, and stress block parameters are discussed.

In this paper, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic is processed as the double cantilever beam in order to estimate the fracture behavior of composite and is carried out with the static analysis as the mode I. The specimen sizes are 25 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm and 40 mm. And the material property is used with carbon. As the analysis result of mode I, the adhesive part is detached latest by the small force at the specimen thickness of 25 mm. The largest force is happened at the specimen thickness of 40 mm. The defection of the adhesive interface is shown slowest at the displacement of 9.75 mm at the specimen thickness of 25 mm. And the defection is shown quickest at the displacement of 7.82 mm at the specimen thickness of 40 mm. This defection is due to the fracture of specimen. The result of this study on the defection of the adhesive interface and the reaction force due to this defection is thought to be contributed to the safe structural design of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
