High Resolution HC$_3$N Observations toward the Central Region of Sagittarius B2

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500,550,570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500,550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100,300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. And the surface charge density (or the number of ionizable functional groups) of the microspheres synthesized by "two stage shot growth method" was 6~13 times higher than that of the microspheres synthesized by conventional seeded batch copolymerization. As a previous step for biomedical application, adsorption experiments of bovine albumin on microspheres were carried out under various conditions. The maximum adsorbed amount was obtained in the neighborhood of pH 4.5. Isoelectric point of bovine albumin is pH 5.0, so experimental result shows that it shifted to acid area. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. The results showed that the functional characteristics of the polymer valve compared favorably with those of the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. 30621 T00401030621 ^x Explosive evaporative removal process of biological tissue by absorption of a CW laser has been simulated by using gelatin and a multimode Nd:YAG laser. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as Br.), and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased.To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made. One of the major problems in EIT has been the inaccessibility of internal voltage or current data in finding the internal impedance values. We propose a new image reconstruction method using internal current density data measured by NMR. We obtained a two-dimensional current density distribution within a phantom by processing the real and imaginary MR images from a 4.77 NMR machine. We implemented a resistivity mage reconstruction algorithm using the finite element method and sensitivity matrix. By using the proposed region segmentation algorithm, the cells were segmented into nucleus. The 16 feature parameters were used to calculate the features of each nucleus. A9 a consequence of using dominant feature parameters method proposed in this paper, discrimination rate of 91.11% was obtained for Thyroid Gland cells. 30625 T00401030625 ^x An electrical stimulator was designed to induce locomotion for paraplegic patients caused by central nervous system injury. Optimal stimulus parameters, which can minimize muscle fatigue and can achieve effective muscle contraction were determined in slow and fast muscles in Sprague-Dawley rats. Stimulus patterns of our stimulator were designed to simulate electromyographic activity monitored during locomotion of normal subjects. Muscle types of the lower extremity were classified according to their mechanical property of contraction, which are slow muscle (msoleus m.) and fast muscle (medial gastrocneminus m., rectus femoris m., vastus lateralis m.). Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Higher stimulus intensity was required when synergistic muscles were stimulated simultaneously than when they were stimulated individually. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases. Portable electrical stimulator with 16 channels built in microprocessor was constructed and applied to paraplegic patients due to lumbar cord injury. The procedure has the following three distinct stages. First, the initial center is estimated by the initial center estimation algorithm which is applied to decimated image. Third, best-fit boundary is detected by the cost function which is based on the best-fit elliptic model. We use combination of MLP and fuzzy filter for pattern recognition to estimate the direction of a muscle and Hogan's method for the force estimation. EMG signals are acquired by using a amputation simulator and 2 dimensional joystick motion. The bedside monitor consists of a main unit and module cases with various parameter modules. The main unit includes a 12.1" TFT color LCD, a main CPU board, and peripherals such as a module controller, Ethernet LAN card, video card, rotate/push button controller, etc. The main unit can connect at maximum three module cases each of which can accommodate up to 7 parameter modules. They include the modules for electrocardiograph, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, temperature, and SpO2 with Plethysmograph.

소아기 외상 : 발달경로에 따른 보호 및 위험인자 (CHILDHOOD TRAUMA:RESILIENCE AND RISK FACTORS ON DEVELOPMENTAL TRAJECTORY)

  • 소아기 외상이 아동의 발달에 미치는 부정적인 결과를 예방하는 resilience factor와 부정적인 결과를 더욱 증폭시키는 위험인자에 대한 지식은 이 분야의 전향적인 연구의 부재와 소아기 외상과 발달과정, 아동의 환경 등 다양한 측면들의 유기적인 관계에 대한 이해의 어려움으로 아직은 초보적인 단계이다. 이러한 소아기 외상의 연구에서의 개념적, 연구 방법론적인 어려움은 현재까지 발표된 연구들의 결과가 일관적이지 못하고 때로는 상반적이기도 한 면으로 나타나기도 한다. 이러한 어려움에도 불구하고 지금까지 발표된 연구들을 종합하여 보면 몇 가지 중요한 공통적인 결론을 도출할 수가 있다. 즉 사춘기 전에는 여아가, 사춘기 후나 영아에서는 남아가, 사회경제적 지위가 높은 가정의 아동, 기질적인 문제가 없는 경우, 쉬운 기질, 조기 이별이나 상실의 경험이 없는 경우, 외상을 받은 시기가 어릴수록, 문제 해결능력이 좋은 경우, 높은 자존감, internal locus of control, 우수한 대처 능력, 대인 관계를 인지 할 수 있는 능력, 놀이를 할 수 있는 능력, 유머 감각이 있는 경우, 유능한 부모를 가지고 있거나 혹은 적어도 한명의 보호자와 따뜻한 관계를 맺고 있을 때, 교육 정도가 높거나 조직적인 종교 활동에 참여 하고 있는 아동들은 외상을 경험하였을 때 외상의 부정적인 결과에 대하여 resilient하게 된다. 이러한 결과는 아동기 외상의 위험 및 보호인자가 서로 독립되어 있기 보다는 상호작용을 하는 유기적인 관계이며, 각 요소가 아동의 발달 단계, 아동 자신 및 그들의 가족과 환경에 따라 다양하게 작용하고, stressor의 영향은 그 강도에 따라 다양한 작용을 보이며 일부 위험요소와 보호요소는 상대방의 효과를 상승시키거나 감소시키는 등 복잡한 상호 관계를 보이는 것을 시사한다. 앞으로 소아기 외상과 발달 정신병리와의 관계, 위험 및 보호인자에 대한 포괄적인 이해 및 이를 바탕으로 효과적이며 효율적인 예방 및 치료적인 개입이 가능해지기 위해서는 stress가 정상적인 신경발달에 미치는 영향, 유전적인 소인과 부모의 요인과 같은 개개인의 소인에 대한 차이점, 신경조절의 resilience 연구, 소아기 외상의 예방과 뇌의 plasticity에 관한 연구가 같이 진행되어야 할 것이다.

이산화티탄과 UV-B 수준에 따른 벼 생육과 프로테옴 해석 (Proteomic Analysis and Growth Responses of Rice with Different Levels of Titanium Dioxide and UV-B)

  • 태양광과 반응하여 독특한 광화학적 작용을 하는 이산화티탄($TiO_2$)을 벼 잎 표면에 처리하였을 때 벼 엽신의 광합성 대사에 대한 영향을 검토하고 프로테옴 분석을 통해 생리변화를 구명하고자 수행한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 광합성유효파장이 $2,400\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$$2,200\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ 배치구에서 이산화티탄 10, 20 ppm 처리는 광적응상태의 엽록소형광지수(Yield)를 낮추었고 $450\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ 처리구는 엽록소형광지수를 높였다. 2. 노지조건인 PAR $2,400\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ 배치구에서 광합성 명반응의 상대전자전달율은 이산화티탄 10 ppm 처리에서 평균 45 %, 무처리 32.4 %, diuron 10 ppm 처리구에서 15.3%로 이산화티탄 처리는 광합성 명반응의 상대전자전달율을 높였다. 3. UV-B 4.9, $0.6\;KJ\;m^{-2}\;day^{-1}$ 배치구에서 이산화티탄 처리로 초장이 증가하였고 UV-B $0.15\;KJ\;m^{-2}\;day^{-1}$ 배치구에서 초장은 증가하고 건물중은 감소하였다. 4. 광합성은 노지의 UV-B 조건인 $13.6\;KJ\;m^{-2}\;day^{-1}$ 배치구에서 이산화티탄 처리로 종가하였고 UV-B 4.9, 0.6, $0.15\;KJ\;m^{-2}\;day^{-1}$ 배치구는 다소 증가하였으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 나타내지 않았다. 5. 이산화티탄 처리 후 자연광 중의 UV-B를 99% 차단하여 저수준으로 조절한 결과 68%의 단백질 발현이 감소하였고 각각 16%의 단백질 발현이 증가 또는 신생 합성되었다. 6. 이산화티탄 20 ppm 처리 후 자연광 중의 UV-B를 99% 차단시켰을 때 주로 광합성 Calvin cycle에서 $CO_2$ 결합을 촉매하는 결정구조 Rubisco의 chain E 발현이 감소하였다.

Systemic analysis 방법을 활용한 국내 학교급식 위생의 주요 영향 인자 분석 연구(2005-2014) (Systemic Analysis on Hygiene of Food Catering in Korea (2005-2014))

  • Systemic analysis 기법을 이용하여 국내 학교급식의 위해관리를 위한 정보를 제공하고자 학교급식 위생 관련 문헌분석을 실시하였다. 단체급식 및 위생 분야 키워드 47개를 도출한 후, DBpia 검색엔진을 통하여 도출된 키워드를 입력하여 최근 10년간(2005-2014) 생산된 총 1,177개 논문을 검색하였다. 이후 관련논문을 수집하고 전문가리뷰를 통하여 최종 142개 논문을 선정하였다. 시설별, 이해당사자별, 외부요인, 내부요인, 직접적 요인, 간접적 요인으로 나눠 문헌을 분석하였다. 시설별로 학교(64편)가 산업체(5편)나 병원(3편)보다 단체급식 위생 관련문헌이 많았다. 학교급식의 주요요인을 분석한 결과 시스템/시설/설비(15편), 위생교육(12편), 생산/납품업체(6편), 식재료(4편), 복합적 요인(9편)이었다. 학교급식 위생관련 요인을 환경적 요인, 인적 요인, 식재료 요인, 고용 및 직무요인으로 구분하였다. 이해당사자별로 영양사, 조리종사원, 학생, 교직원, 식재료 납품업체 등으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 첫 번째, 환경적 요인으로 시설 설비 영역과 시스템 영역으로 구분하였다. 시설 설비 영역에서 대상이 영양사인 경우 급식시설의 명확하지 않은 구획 및 구분, 다량조리기기의 부족으로 인한 음식 온도관리 미흡, 위생관리를 위한 기기 구비율 저조, 조리실 온 습도 관리 미흡 등이 문제점으로 지적되었다. 대상이 학생인 경우에는 교실배식 환경을 문제로 꼽았다. 시스템 영역에서는 영양사가 대상인 경우 학교 내 구성원 간 HACCP 시스템 팀의 낮은 협력정도가 문제로 지적되었다. 조리사/조리종사원이 대상인 경우에는 과도한 업무량과 높은 노동 강도, 급식소 안전 관련 근무 조건의 열악함이 문제가 되었다. 학부모를 대상으로 조사한 결과에서는 학교급식 모니터 제도의 활동이 저조한 것이 문제로 파악되었다. 두 번째, 인적 요소 측면에서는 "위생교육 부족"이 가장 큰 문제점으로서, 교육대상이 조리종사원인 경우 형식적인 위생교육, HACCP 관련 교육 미흡, 낮은 개인위생관리수행이 문제가 되었다. 대상이 학생인 경우에는 위생교육 경험이 적고, 위생교육의 적용 및 효과가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 세 번째, 식재료 요소 측면에서 원재료 자체의 위생문제와 신선편이식품 전처리 식재료의 불신이 문제로 파악되었다. 한편, 생산 납품업체 관련 납품업체 배송차량 관리 미흡, 생산 납품업체 직원의 위생관리, HACCP 비인증업체의 위생관리가 문제로 지적되었다. 마지막으로 고용 및 직무 요소 측면에서 영양사와 조리종사원의 고용형태, 연봉수준은 직무만족도 및 직무몰입도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 직무스트레스는 직무수행, 나아가 학교급식 위생에도 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 학교급식 위생의 원인 분석을 통하여 향후 정부는 예산확보, 현장조사, 인증시스템 제도 마련, 근무 조건 개선, 위생훈련 및 점검 강화, 전문가에 의한 위생컨설팅 및 급식장 설계 컨설팅을 강화할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 향후 급식위생안전 개선을 위한 교육 자료 및 관련 기술 개발에 활용할 수 있다.

한국판 대처 전략 질문지 (K-CSQ)를 이용한 만성 통증 환자의 통증대처 특성 (The Characteristics of Pain Coping Strategies in Patients with Chronic Pain by Using Korean Version-Coping Strategies Questionnaire(K-CSQ))

  • 만성 통증 환자들은 통증에 대한 대처 방식이 각자 다르고 이에 따라 적응 상의 차이를 나타낸다. 한국판 대처 전략 질문지 (Korean version-Coping Strategy Questionaire : K-CSQ)로 만성 통증 환자의 통증 대처방식의 특징을 파악하고, 이 검사의 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 방법: 대상자는 만성 통증 환자군 128명과 정상 대조군 252명으로 하였다. 만성 통증 환자군에서의 임상적인 특성을 조사하였고, 양군에서 통증대처전략의 특성을 비교하였으며, K-CSQ의 각 항목의 내적 일치도 (Cronbach ${\alpha}$)를 산출하였고, 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 구하였다. 결과: 각 항목의 내적 일치도는 주의분산, 통증감각의 재해석, 통증감각의 무시, 기도 또는 바램, 재앙적 사고 등의 요인이 0.7 이상을 나타내어 일치도가 높았으며, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 모두 0.66이상을 나타내서 신뢰도가 높은 검사임을 나타냈다. 대처 전략은 정상대조군보다 만성 통증 환자에서 자기진술 대처를 더 많이 사용하였고, 기도 또는 바램, 재앙적 사고, 통증행동의 증가 등이 만성 통증 환자군에서 의미있게 높은 수치를 나타냈다. 결론: K-CSQ는 만성통증환자에서 통증대처특성을 이해하는데 유용한 검사도구이다. 그리고, 만성 통증 환자에 대한 인지-행동적 개입을 통하여, 자기 진술 대처와 주의 돌려기, 통증 감각 무시 전략 등을 증가시키고, 재앙적 사고를 감소시켜 환자의 적응적 행동을 도우며, K-CSQ를 이용하여 치료적 개업에 따른 적응 기능의 향상을 확인하는데 이용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 횡방향(橫方向)과 종방향(縱方向), 대입열용접(大入熱鎔接)과 소입열용접(小入熱鎔接), 모재(母材)와 같은 강도(强度)의 용접재료(鎔接材料) 사용(使用)과 모재(母材)보다 낮은 강도(强度)의 용접재료(鎔接材料) 사용(使用) 등으로 서로 비교되는 용접(鎔接)이음의 소인장시험편(小引張試驗片)을 만들어서 피로시험(疲勞試驗)을 행하여 피로구열(疲勞龜裂) 진전속도(進展速度) ${\frac{da}{dN}}$와 구열선단(龜裂先端) 부근의 응력확대계수(應力擴大係數)의 변동범위(變動範圍) ${\Delta}K$와의 관계곡선(關係曲線)을 그려서 비교시험간(比較試驗間)의 모재(母材), 열영향부(熱影響部) 및 용착금속부(鎔着金屬部)로 구분, 혹은 지금까지의 연구자료(硏究資料) 등과 비교검토하였다. 이 결과, 다음과 같은 현상들을 알 수 있었다. 기본적(基本的)으로, 용접방향(鎔接方向), 용접입열량(鎔接入熱量), 용접재료(鎔接材料)의 강도(强度), 혹은 모재(母材), 열영향부(熱影響部) 및 용착금속부(鎔着金屬部)의 구분 등에 따라 ${\frac{da}{dN}}-{\Delta}K$관계에 큰 차이가 없었다. 다만, 첫째, 소재(素材)에 대한 경우에 비해 대개 처음은 같은 ${\Delta}K$에서 ${\frac{da}{dN}}$가 상당히 늦다가 점차 증가하여 중간쯤에서 같아진 후 끝 부분에서 같은 ${\Delta}K$에서${\frac{da}{dN}}$가 다소 빨라짐을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 열영향부(熱影響部)에서 용접금속부(鎔接金屬部)로 진전(進展)하면서 ${\frac{da}{dN}}$가 다소 늦어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 용접방향(鎔接方向)과 구열방향(龜裂方向)이 평행인 경우가 직각인 경우에 비해, 모재(母材)와 같은 용접재료(鎔接材料)를 쓴 경우 소입열용접(小入熱鎔接)인 경우가 대입열용접(大入熱鎔接)인 경우에 비해, 모재(母材)보다 낮은 용접재료(鎔接材料)를 쓴 경우 대입열용접(大入熱鎔接)인 경우가 소입열용접(小入熱鎔接)인 경우에 비해, 대입열(大入熱)의 평행용접(鎔接)의 경우를 제외한 모든 용접(鎔接)에서 모재(母材)와 같은 강도(强度)의 용접재료(鎔接材料)를 쓴 경우가 모재(母材)보다 낮은 강도(强度)의 용접재료(鎔接材料)를 쓴 경우에 비해 ${\Delta}K$가 낮은 시기(時期)에 일찍 저속(低速)으로 구열(龜裂)이 시작되어 ${\Delta}K$의 큰 증가없이 ${\frac{da}{dN}}$가 빠르게 증가한 다음 다른 경우와 같은 성상(性狀)으로 진전됨을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 소입열용접(小入熱鎔接)의 경우 평행용접(鎔接)이 직각용접(鎔接)에 비해, 소입열용접(小入熱鎔接)이 대입열용접(大入熱鎔接)에 비해 같은 ${\Delta}K$에서 ${\frac{da}{dN}}$가 다소 늦은 것을 알 수 있었다.

A Study on Relationship between Physical Elements and Tennis/Golf Elbow

  • Objective: The purpose of this research was to assess the agreement between job physical risk factor analysis by ergonomists using ergonomic methods and physical examinations made by occupational physicians on the presence of musculoskeletal disorders of the upper extremities. Background: Ergonomics is the systematic application of principles concerned with the design of devices and working conditions for enhancing human capabilities and optimizing working and living conditions. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent injuries and physical and emotional stress. The major types of ergonomic injuries and incidents are cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs), acute strains, sprains, and system failures. Minimization of use of excessive force and awkward postures can help to prevent such injuries Method: Initial data were collected as part of a larger study by the University of Utah Ergonomics and Safety program field data collection teams and medical data collection teams from the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH). Subjects included 173 male and female workers, 83 at Beehive Clothing (a clothing plant), 74 at Autoliv (a plant making air bags for vehicles), and 16 at Deseret Meat (a meat-processing plant). Posture and effort levels were analyzed using a software program developed at the University of Utah (Utah Ergonomic Analysis Tool). The Ergonomic Epicondylitis Model (EEM) was developed to assess the risk of epicondylitis from observable job physical factors. The model considers five job risk factors: (1) intensity of exertion, (2) forearm rotation, (3) wrist posture, (4) elbow compression, and (5) speed of work. Qualitative ratings of these physical factors were determined during video analysis. Personal variables were also investigated to study their relationship with epicondylitis. Logistic regression models were used to determine the association between risk factors and symptoms of epicondyle pain. Results: Results of this study indicate that gender, smoking status, and BMI do have an effect on the risk of epicondylitis but there is not a statistically significant relationship between EEM and epicondylitis. Conclusion: This research studied the relationship between an Ergonomic Epicondylitis Model (EEM) and the occurrence of epicondylitis. The model was not predictive for epicondylitis. However, it is clear that epicondylitis was associated with some individual risk factors such as smoking status, gender, and BMI. Based on the results, future research may discover risk factors that seem to increase the risk of epicondylitis. Application: Although this research used a combination of questionnaire, ergonomic job analysis, and medical job analysis to specifically verify risk factors related to epicondylitis, there are limitations. This research did not have a very large sample size because only 173 subjects were available for this study. Also, it was conducted in only 3 facilities, a plant making air bags for vehicles, a meat-processing plant, and a clothing plant in Utah. If working conditions in other kinds of facilities are considered, results may improve. Therefore, future research should perform analysis with additional subjects in different kinds of facilities. Repetition and duration of a task were not considered as risk factors in this research. These two factors could be associated with epicondylitis so it could be important to include these factors in future research. Psychosocial data and workplace conditions (e.g., low temperature) were also noted during data collection, and could be used to further study the prevalence of epicondylitis. Univariate analysis methods could be used for each variable of EEM. This research was performed using multivariate analysis. Therefore, it was difficult to recognize the different effect of each variable. Basically, the difference between univariate and multivariate analysis is that univariate analysis deals with one predictor variable at a time, whereas multivariate analysis deals with multiple predictor variables combined in a predetermined manner. The univariate analysis could show how each variable is associated with epicondyle pain. This may allow more appropriate weighting factors to be determined and therefore improve the performance of the EEM.

  • 산림(山林)의 환경구배(環境勾配)에 따른 식생변화(植生變化)를 구명(求明)하기 위하여, 미국(美國)워싱턴주 케스케이드 산맥(山脈) 동쪽의 위나치 국유림(國有林)에서 해발 975m, 1280m, 1700m에 있는 남사면(南斜面)과 북사면(北斜面)의 6개 천연림(天然林) 지역을 대상(對象)으로 하여 선형법(線型法)을 이용(利用)하여 식생조사(植生調査)를 실시(實施)하고, ordination법에 의하여 요인(要因)을 분석(分析)하였다. 미송(美松)(최고 수령 286년, DBH 110cm)은 해발고(海拔高)와 사면(斜面)의 방위(方位)에 관계(關係) 없이 모든 6개 지역(地域)에서 우점종(優占種)의 하나로 관찰(觀察)되었으며, 폰데로사소나무(최고수령 312년, DBH 97cm)는 남사면(南斜面)에서만 우점종(優占種)이었다. 그란디스젓나무(최고수령 115년, DBH 51cm)는 1280m 북사면(北斜面)에서, 그리고 라시오카파젓나무(최고 수령 127년, DBH 42cm)는 1700m 북사면(北斜面)에서 우점종(優占種)이었다. 사면방향(斜面方向)과 관계(關係)있는 수분(水分)은 특히 남사면(南斜面)에서 식생구조(植生構造)를 결정(決定)하는 가장 중요(重要)한 요인(要因) 가운데 하나이었다. 남사면(南斜面)에 비해서, 북사면(北斜面)은 수분(水分)이 제한요인(制限要因)이 아니었고, 수관(樹冠)이 더 크게 자랐으며, 고도(高度) 혹은 상호수종(相互樹種)간 경쟁(競爭)이 더 중요(重要)한 요인(要因)이었다. 종(種)의 다양성(多樣性)은 환경요인(環境要因)이 악화(惡化)됨에 따라 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였는데, 특히 남사면(南斜面)은 북사면(北斜面)보다 수분부족(水分不足)과 심한 온도차(溫度差)로 인(因)하여 종다양성(種多樣性)이 감소(減少)하였다. 상층식생(上層植生)의 연령구조(年齡構造)는 북사면(北斜面)과 남사면(南斜面)이 서로 다른데, 광량(光量), 수분(水分), 그리고 기후(氣候)가 양쪽사면(斜面)에서 다르게 작용(作用)하기 때문이며, 큰 규모(規模)의 교란(攪亂)(산화(山火) 혹은 해충(害蟲)의 피해(被害)) 이 연령구조(年齡構造)를 바꾸는 요인(要因)이었다. DBH와 연령(年齡)과의 상관관계(相關關係)는 성숙목(成熟木)보다 어린수목(樹木)에서 높았고, 남사면(南斜面)에서 양수(陽樹)의 DBH값은 북사면(北斜面)에서 보다 큰 값을 보였는데, 이는 사면(斜面)의 방향(方向)이 연령(年齡)과 크기를 결정(決定)짓는 가장 중요(重要)한 요인(要因) 가운데 하나라는 것을 보여 주는 것이다.

급성심근경색증에서의 심장자기공명영상술의 진단 정확도와 심근 생존력 평가: TI-201 심근관류 SPECT와의 비교 (Diagnostic Accuracy and Evaluation of Myocardial Viability by Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Acute Myocardial Infarction: A Comparison with Thallium-201 Myocardial SPECT)

  • 목적 : 급성심근경색을 진단하는데 있어 심장자기공명영상의 유용성을 알아보고, 생존심근을 평가하는데 있어 Tl-201 심근관류 SPECT와 비교하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 흉통 및 호흡곤란이 있는 환자 중 심장자기공명영상과 Tl-201 SPECT를 시행한 17명을 후향적으로 조사하였다. 심장자기공명영상에서는 T2강조영상에서 심벽의 고신호 강도 유무, 영화영상에서 심벽 운동, Gd-DTPA 조영 증강 후 좌심실 벽의 관류 결손 및 주입 15분 후의 지연조영증강 유무를 평가하였다. T1-201 SPECT에서는 아데노신 부하 영상과 휴식기 영상을 얻어 관류 결손 유무와 관류 결손시 가역성 여부를 평가하였다. 결과 심장자기공명영상과 T1-201 SPECT 모두 급성심근경색을 진단하는데 통계적으로 의미가 있었고, T2강조영상, T1-201 SPECT, 지연조영증강 및 심벽운동 순으로 연관성이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 관류 결손은 통계적 유의성이 없었다. 생존심근 평가에 있어서는 두 검사간 유의한 차이가 없었으며, T2강조영상과 관류영상에서 T1-201 SPECT와 높은 일치율, 지연조영증강 및 심벽운동은 낮은 일치율을 보였다. 결론 : 심장자기공명영상은 급성심근경색을 진단하는데 매우 유의한 진단율을 보였고, 생존 심근여부의 판단에 있어 SPECT와 높은 일치율을 보였다. 그러나 각 검사별 판독 기준과 방법에서 많은 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

수열합성법으로 성장된 산화아연 나노막대의 특성 및 열처리 효과 (Annealing Effects on Properties of ZnO Nanorods Grown by Hydrothermal Method)

  • 수열합성법으로 실리콘 (111) 기판 위에 산화아연 나노막대를 성장하였다. 산화아연 나노막대를 성장하기 전, 실리콘 기판에 스핀코팅법으로 씨앗층을 성장하였다. 산화아연 나노막대는 오토클레이브(autoclave)로 $140^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 동안 성장하였고, 아르곤 분위기에서 300, 500, $700^{\circ}C$의 온도로 20분 동안 열처리하였다. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), photoluminescence (PL)를 이용하여 열처리한 산화아연 나노막대의 구조적, 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. 모든 산화아연 나노막대 시료에서 c-축 배향성을 나타내는 강한 ZnO (002) 회절 피크와 약한 ZnO (004) 회절 피크가 나타났다. 열처리 온도가 증가함에 따라 산화아연 나노로드의 residual stress는 compressive에서 tensile로 변하였다. Hexagonal 형태의 산화아연 나노로드를 관찰하였다. 산화아연 나노로드의 PL 스펙트럼은 free-exciton recombination에 의해 3.2 eV에서 좁은 near-band-edge emission (NBE) 피크와 산화아연 나노막대의 결함에 의해 2.12~1.96 eV에서 넓은 deep-level emission (DLE) 피크가 나타났다. 산화아연 나노막대를 열처리함에 따라, NBE 피크의 세기는 감소하였고 DLE 피크는 열처리에 의해 발생한 산소 관련 결함에 의하여 적색편이 하였다.
