Delayed hydride cracking (DHC) is an important failure mechanism for Zircaloy tubes in the demanding environment of nuclear reactors. The threshold stress intensity factor, $K_{IH}$, and critical hydride length, $l_C$, are important parameters to evaluate DHC. Theoretical models of them are developed for Zircaloy tubes undergoing non-homogenous temperature loading, with new stress distributions ahead of the crack tip and thermal stresses involved. A new stress distribution in the plastic zone ahead of the crack tip is proposed according to the fracture mechanics theory of second-order estimate of plastic zone size. The developed models with fewer fitting parameters are validated with the experimental results for $K_{IH}$ and $l_C$. The research results for radial cracking cases indicate that a better agreement for $K_{IH}$ can be achieved; the negative axial thermal stresses can lessen $K_{IH}$ and enlarge the critical hydride length, so its effect should be considered in the safety evaluation and constraint design for fuel rods; the critical hydride length $l_C$ changes slightly in a certain range of stress intensity factors, which interprets the phenomenon that the DHC velocity varies slowly in the steady crack growth stage. Besides, the sensitivity analysis of model parameters demonstrates that an increase in yield strength of zircaloy will result in a decrease in the critical hydride length $l_C$, and $K_{IH}$ will firstly decrease and then have a trend to increase with the yield strength of Zircaloy; higher fracture strength of hydrided zircaloy will lead to very high values of threshold stress intensity factor and critical hydride length at higher temperatures, which might be the main mechanism of crack arrest for some Zircaloy materials.
Nylon fabrics were corona treated with different current intensity (5, 10, 15, 20 A) and feeding speed (5, 10, 15 m/min). We confirmed the change of nylon fabrics surface using X-ray diffraction apparatus, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (ESCALAB). And the change of physical properties through measuring the tensile strength, tear strength, bonding and wet bonding strength. Thermosetting reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive was used in the adhesion of nylon fabrics. Functional groups were introduced on nylon fabric surface by treating the fabrics in air atmosphere with corona discharge, and the result adhesion was improved. Bonding strength of the nylon fabric treated with corona was increased with increasing current intensity and decreasing feeding speed.
In this study, SPCC cross-tension type specimens produced under various spot welding conditions were tensile and fatigue tested. Decrease of 2 kA in normal current condition of 10 kA caused a large amount of reduction in both static joining strength and fatigue life. And 2 kA increase resulted in increase of static joining strength and an increase in low cycle regime but a decrease in high cycle regime, revealing the fact that fatigue strength rather than static joining strength would be a major factor during design process in view of the body endurance. As a results of estimating the fatigue lifetimes of various types of spot weld specimens. equivalent stress intensity factor is the proper parameter for predicting the lifetimes of various types of specimens. which can be expressed as ${\Delta}K_{eq}(N/nm^{1.5})=11550N^{-0.36}_{f}$.

The cold weather concrete poured in the winter season can cause the problem of the Due to recent high-rise building is made. In this research, the nominal mix of the early strength in concrete tried to be set through the mixing proportion experiment for each empirical variable and each component strength properties for the early strength improvement tries to be examined. In the cold weather concrete experiment, the cement and high early strength (type3) cement improving in OPC than OPC was excellent. The polycarboxylic acid based compound was exposed to be excellent in the intensity revelation properties. Because the using of the fly ash was disadvantageous it was excluded from this experiment. It showed the optimum temperature for the intensity revelation up over $12^{\circ}C$.
The main objective of the present paper is to study the effect of the yield criterion on the magnitude of the strain rate and plastic work rate intensity factors in axisymmetric flow of isotropic incompressible rigid perfectly plastic material by means of a problem permitting a closed-form solution. The boundary value problem consisting of the axisymmetric deformation of a plastic tube is solved. The outer surface of the tube contracts. The radius of the inner surface does not change. The material of the tube obeys quite a general yield criterion and its associated flow rule. The maximum friction law is assumed at the inner surface of the tube. Therefore, the velocity field is singular near this surface. In particular, the strain rate and plastic work rate intensity factors are derived from the solution. It is shown that the strain rate intensity factor does not depend on the yield criterion but the plastic work rate intensity factor does.

Attenuated functional exercise capacity in elderly and diseased populations is a common problem, and stems primarily from physical inactivity. Decreased function and exercise capacity can be restored by maintaining muscular strength and mass, which are key factors in an independent and healthy life. Resistance exercise has been used to prevent muscle loss and improve muscular strength and mass. However, the intensities necessary for traditional resistance training to increase muscular strength and mass may be contraindicated for some at risk populations, such as diseased populations and the elderly. Therefore, an alternative exercise modality is required. Recently, blood flow restriction (BFR) with low intensity resistance exercise (LIRE) has been used for such special populations to improve their function and exercise capacity. Although BFR+LIRE has been intensively studied for a decade, a comprehensive review detailing the effects of BFR+LIRE on both skeletal muscle and vascular function is not available. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to discuss previous studies documenting the effects of BFR+LIRE on hormonal and transcriptional factors in muscle hypertrophy and vascular function, including changes in hemodynamics, and endothelial function.

Shot peening process is most often used to improve the fatigue properties of metal parts, In order to achieve an optimum, repeatable, and reliable fatigue enhancement from the shot peening process, the important shot peening parameters must be optimized, In this paper, the optimum peening intensity(Almen intensity) condition is investigated by experiment. Rotary bending fatigue test has been adopted to investigate the effects of optimum peening on the fatigue characteristics, Experimental results show that the fatigue strength and fatigue life has been tremendously increased by optimum-peening treatment. However, the fatigue strength and fatigue life has been decreased by under or over peening.

This study is aimed to investigate the association between anaerobic-aerobic exercise intensity and hand steadiness. Hand steadiness is the decisive contributor to affecting the job performance just as in the rifle shooting and archery in sports and the microscope-related jobs requiring hand steadiness in industries. In anaerobic exercise condition hand steadiness is measured through hand steadiness tester having 9 different diameter holes after each subject exerts 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of maximum back strength. In aerobic exercise occasion it is evaluated at each time heart rate reaches 115%, 130%, and 145% of reference heart rate measured in no task condition after they do jumping jack. The results indicate that an increased intensity in both types of exercise reduces hand steadiness, but hand steadiness at 25% of maximum back strength and 115% of reference heart rate is rather greater than at no exercise. Just as the relation between cognitive stress and job performance has upside-down U form, so does the association of physical loading to hand steadiness, which means that a little exercise tends to improve hand steadiness in comparison with no exercise.
Objective: If non-surgical treatment fails, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR) is recommended, and ARCR considers graft augmentation in consideration of size, direction, and re-tear. It is reported to have potential benefits by improving the healing rate as it can fill the gaps that have been left behind. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of structural changes observed after ARCR on muscle action through magnetic resonance imaging and to investigate the effect of appropriate physical therapy required for graft augmentation in the general ARCR rehabilitation protocol. Case presentation: A 47-year-old male hospitalized for postoperative rehabilitation following ARCR participated in a 5-week physical therapy intervention. The postoperative day was 6 months, but due to shooting pain and shoulder dysfunction, and the movement of the shoulder was compensatory motion, not normal motion. Physical agents, manual therapy, and supervised exercise for 110 minutes per session were performed 3 times a week, and pain intensity, range of motion, function, and strength were evaluated. Results: As a result of the study, the patient showed positive improvement in pain intensity, range of motion, function, and strength. In addition, normal scapulohumeral rhythm movement was observed. Conclusions: According to the results of this case, appropriate physical therapy according to the compensatory motion shown in the structural changes after ARCR can positively improve the pain intensity, range of motion, function, and strength of ARCR patients.

This study investigates experimentally the impact of magnetized water (MW) on the fresh and hardened characteristics of concrete. Five types of MW are produced using magnetic fields of 1.4 and 1.6 Tesla for treating water with 100, 150, and 250 cycles. The concrete properties are assessed using the slump test, compressive strength test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR). Furthermore, the chemical-physical characteristics of tap water (TW) and MW are evaluated. The results showed the magnetic field intensity has a significant impact on the magnetization effect; the best magnetizing conditions were found when TW was exposed successively to magnetic fields of 1.6 T and 1.4 T for 150 cycles. In addition, 150 MW cycles can be used to improve the compressive strength and workability of concrete by 40% and 17%, respectively. pH, total dissolved solids, and electrical conductivity improved by 15%, 17%, and 7%, respectively, when using MW. Additionally, MW can be used to enhance cement hydration chemical processes and made concrete's structure denser.
