  • Extraction of influential people from their respective domains has attained the attention of scholastic community during current epoch. This study introduces an innovative interaction strength metric for retrieval of the most influential users in the online social network. The interactive strength is measured by three factors, namely re-tweet strength, commencing intensity and mentioning density. In this article, we design a novel algorithm called IPRank that considers the communications from perspectives of followers and followees in order to mine and rank the most influential people based on proposed interaction strength metric. We conducted extensive experiments to evaluate the strength and rank of each user in the micro-blog network. The comparative analysis validates that IPRank discovered high ranked people in terms of interaction strength. While the prior algorithm placed some low influenced people at high rank. The proposed model uncovers influential people due to inclusion of a novel interaction strength metric that improves results significantly in contrast with prior algorithm.

  • This method surely needs a hole that causes local strength and stiffness deterioration of the structure because of stress intensity. In this work, three dimensional stress analysis of pin-loaded joint for quasi-isotropic composite laminates was performed using commercial finite element software. Stress distribution was calculated near the edge of the pin-leaded hole and effects of the stacking sequence on the delamination were investigated. Also, the delamination strength of the composite laminates was predicted using the Ye-delamination failure criterion and compared with the experimental results. finally, newly modified failure criterion has been suggested owing to the consideration of effects of interlaminar normal stress on the delamination strength.

  • we can say that the increasing range of the value of GMT Sheet's tensile strength in the direction of fiber orientation is getting wider as the fiber content increases. It shows that the value of GMT Sheet's tensile strength in the direction of fiber orientation 90 is similar with the value of pp's intensity when fiber orientation function is J= 0.7, regardless of the fiber content. Tensile strength of GMT Sheet is affected by the fiber orientation distribution more than by the fiber content.

  • In this study, the effects of silver treatment and activation on the physical and chemical properties of spherical activated carbon (SAC) were studied. The textural properties of SAC were characterized by BET surface area, XRD, SEM, iodine adsorption, strength intensity, pressure drop and antibacterial effects. BET surface areas of SACs decreased with an increase of the amount of PR before and after activation, and the BET surface areas of SACs were found to be about 2-3 times the size of those before activation. The XRD patterns showed their existing state as stable Ag crystals and carbon structure. The Ag particles are seaweedlike and uniform, being approximately 5-10 μm in size deposited on the surface of activated carbon. All of the samples had much more iodine adsorption capability after activation than before activation. The strength values of SACs increased with an increase of the amount of PR, and there was a smaller drop in the strength values of SACs with silver treatment than with non-silver treatment after activation. The Ag-SAC composites showed strong antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli (E. Coli).

  • The present study presents experimental results on the characteristics of emission spectra of kerosene/air swirl flames. The aviation fuel Jet A-1, which is used for the liquid rocket engines of the Korea Space Launch Vehicle, is used with three different swirlers to investigate the swirl strength effects. The emission spectra from the flames are measured with a spectrometer as the swirl strength and combustion air temperature are varied. Chemiluminescence intensities of $OH^*$, $CH^*$ and $C_2{^*}$ are identified from the spectra. The chemiluminescence intensities from the kerosene flames show sensitivity to the swirl strength and are affected by changes in the combustion air temperature. Among the three radicals of interest, $C_2{^*}$ show the most significant changes in chemiluminescence intensity with the swirl strength and equivalence ratio. The intensity ratios $I_{OH^*}/I_{CH^*}$ and $I_{C_2{^*}}/I_{CH^*}$ are adequate for indicating changes in the equivalence ratio with the air and fuel mass flow rates, respectively.

  • This paper aims to analyze fatigue fracture mechnisms with high strength aluminum alloys, which are widely used in vehicles or airplanes to prevent accidents. Usefulness of the crack opening point was proposed by using an effective stress intensity facor when evaluating the fatigue crack propagaion rate. Therefore an exact crack opening ratio can be measured for a more exact fatigue crack propagation rate. It is found that the fatigue crack propagation rate was valid within the range of experimentation as an effective stress intensity factor. Summarizing the results are as follows in this paper ; (1) It is found that the value of the crack opening ratio is constant at the rear of the specimen, U'=0.25 at the crack mouth and U'=0.45 at the crack tip, respectively regardless of the stress ratio. (2) The crack opening ratio is different according to measurement locations. The crack opening ratio value was measured at the crack mouth by a clip gage or measured behind the specimen by a strain gage. It is found that the crack opening ratio value is more accurate that any other measuring test for evaluating the crack propagation ratio test by effective stress intensity factor.

  • The acoustical performance of noise reducing devices installed on the top of a noise barrier were tested by small-scale outdoor tests. Noise measurements before and after installation of the devices were carried out using sound intensity methods. It is well known that the sound intensity method can specify the strength and directivity of sound, and it is convenient to consider the feature of sound around a noise barrier. The noise reduction effect of each edge device was evaluated using the difference between the input and output sound power levels calculated from sound intensities. It was investigated that each device had different efficiency in the shadow zone, while there was no significant difference between edge devices in the illuminated zone.
