Purpose - This study develops a simulation model that looks at the dynamics between social capital and business performance in strategic networks to understand their behaviors in relation to each other, and to suggest dynamic relationship strategies. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on existing literature, this study identifies the complex causal loop diagram on social capital and business performance in strategic networks, and converts them into a simulation model for observing how the changes in business environment and relationship dependency affect social capital and business performance. Results - The simulation results showed that, first, the formation in social capital and business performance of networks with low relationship dependency was less affected by the changes in business environment. Second, the formation in social capital and business performance of networks with high relationship dependency was negatively impacted by the changes in business environment. In other words, higher relationship dependency strengthened the impact of changes in business environment on business performance. Conclusions - Thus, this study confirmed that in strategic networks, the changes in business environment and the degree of relationship dependency dynamically affect business performance, and that relationship dependency mediates the degree in which changes in the business environment affect business performance. The results of the simulations were further verified through actual business cases.

The rapid growth of information and communication technologies prompted the need for developing the strategic implementation framework of IT/ICT programs in universities. Here, we propose a strategic framework for the development of the IT/ICT programs in the universities of the province of Mazandaran in Iran. We use the SWOT analysis to assist the formulation of the strategy, where the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to weigh the SWOT factors and the fuzzy TOPSIS is used to evaluate the strategic plans. Based on Iran and Mazandaran Digital Indices (DI) and considering the SWOT matrix, four strategies are identified. Finally, an analytical concept, namely the strategy shooting, is considered to show the role of SWOT factors and strategic plans on the performance of the system.

Mechanical and electrical performance of anode-supported SOFC single cells were analyzed after thermal cyclic operation. The experiments of thermal cyclic cell-operation were carried out four times and performance of each cell was measured at different temperatures of 650, 700, and $750^{\circ}C$, respectively. As increasing the number of thermal cycle test, single cells showed poor I-V characteristics and lower 4-point bending strength. The anode polarization was also measured by AC-impedance analysis. The observation of the microstructure of the anodes in single cells proved that the average particle size of Ni decreased and the porosity of anode increased. It is thought that the thermal cycle caused the degradation of performance of single cells by reducing the density of three-phase boundary region.

This study proposes a conceptual framework that can help to investigate strategic alliances. Based on the framework, this study identifies the factors that affect longevity of strategic alliances, highlighting the network structure in which a firm is embedded as an important variable, along with other environmental-level and firm-level variables such as environmental volatility, nationality, and previous experience with strategic alliances. In this study, the network structure of existing alliances in which a firm is embedded constitutes a form of social capital and is hypothesized to partially explain the longevity of a strategic alliance. In addition, the significance of other factors is appreciated.

In this paper, the strategic planning to develop regional pending problems of Honam Sea Grant college program laund1ed in 2006 to support research and development, education and extension is tackled. First, the purpose of an strategic planning for Honam Sea Grant college program and development of its pending problems are discussed. Next, the needs of strategic planning established through individual demanders, managers and related organizations is introduced. Finally, network construction between domestic and overseas organizations is studied to build and maintain significant relationships with their constituents.

Recently SW is the key industry which leads the HW industry and service industry, but market size of SW is only 0.9% of GDP. It is necessary systematic and strategic support to create new SW market through SW convergence and to secure the global competitiveness. This paper deals with some strategic suggestions for progress of SW industry in company with regional economy. We survey and analyze the many SW support projects by government and take professional advice from some specialists of regional information industry promotion agency. We draw 10 strategic suggestions for support of SW industry. Also we analyze the relative importance of 10 strategic suggestions by AHP analysis.

Developing a metallization that has low cost and high efficiency is essential in solar-cell industries, to replace expensive silver-based metallization. Ni/Cu two-step metallization is one way to reduce the cost of solar cells, because the price of copper is about 100 times less than that of silver. Alkaline electroless plating was used for depositing nickel seed layers on the front electrode area. Prior to the nickel deposition process, 2% HF solution was used to remove native oxide, which disturbs uniform nickel plating. In the subsequent step, a nickel sintering process was carried out in $N_2$ gas atmosphere; however, copper was plated by light-induced plating (LIP). Plated nickel has different properties under different bath conditions because nickel electroless plating is a completely chemical process. In this paper, plating bath conditions such as pH and temperature were varied, and the metal layer's structure was analyzed to investigate the adhesion of Ni/Cu metallization. Average adhesion values in the range of 0.2-0.49 N/mm were achieved for samples with no nickel sintering process.

This study aims to identify the effect of blue ocean leadership style on strategic decision making and it also aims to examine the mediating role of organizational politic and moderating role of emotional intelligence in the Government Link Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia. In order to achieve the objective of the study, a research framework had been developed to establish a relationship among the variables of the study based on resource-based view theory. Questionnaire method was used to collect the data form middle to top level employees in GLCs. All the items in the study's variables were assessed using the 5-point Likert scale. A stratified random sampling technique was used to identify the sample for this study. Data was derived from 135 middle to top level employees, which were involved in decision making process. The data was analyzed using the SPSS and the SmartPLS 3.0 software. This supplemented the theory surrounding blue ocean leadership styles and strategic decision making. The study also identified several avenues for further research by using different research methods and examining the impact of strategic decision making in different contexts.

The study investigates the impact of strategic planning (SP) factors on service quality (SQ) in private universities (PUs) in Oman and how they fit together in the development of higher education institutions (HEIs). The reports of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) in Oman revealed that the service quality in private universities is unsatisfactory. This study employs a quantitative method. Data were collected from a sample of 730 academics and administrators. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on AMOS software was applied for data analysis. The results of the structural paths showed that, among the strategic planning factors, only environmental scanning and leadership had a direct significant impact on service quality. However, mission statement and participation had insignificant direct impact on service quality. The findings suggest that environmental scanning and leadership are critical factors in predicting service quality dimensions of private universities. The findings add to the body of knowledge particularly in the Omani context, which can be useful in the neighboring countries as well. The study combines two different popular models in addressing service quality. The study also clarified the importance of each factor of the strategic planning process, which give a comprehensive picture of the university.

Purpose This research aims to investigate factors affecting the application of strategic management accounting in Vietnamese Logistics Enterprises. Design/Methodology/Approach: Quantitative research was conducted and data was collected by sending questionnaires to 188 accountants and directors from Vietnamese Logistics Enterprises (including, transportation, warehousing and forwarding). 5 factors (namely: size and organizational structure, technological advancement, and strategic management accounting implementing costs) were selected to measure the application of strategic management accounting (SMA) in Vietnamese Logistics Enterprises (LEs) through correlation and regression analysis. Results: The empirical findings show that there exists a significant association between these factors and the SMA application. LEs have strongly supported the application of SMA as a tool to provide information for making their strategic decisions. The factors including size and organizational structure, technological advancement, SMA implementing c osts, and strategy positively impact the SMA application in both financial and non-financial aspects. This finding helps the adm inistrators realize the importance of SMA. Conclusions: This study provided an overview of SMA application and its benefits to enterprises. It helps managers have a better understanding of SMA and future directions for application. Moreover, the research results will be useful for managers to identify factors influencing their SMA practices and improve the current management process applied in organizations.
