대학생들이 지각하는 전통시장 선택속성이 관계품질에 미치는 영향: 소비감정의 조절효과와 소비자 가치의 매개효과 (The Effect of College Students' Perceived Choice Attribute of Traditional Market and Relationship Quality: Moderating Effects of Consumption Emotion and Mediating Effects of Consumer's Value)

  • 본 연구는 유통시장의 개방과 함께 다양한 형태의 유통 업태들과의 경쟁으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 시장에 관심을 가진 연구이다. 특히, 미래의 소비자인 대학생들의 관점에서 시장에 대한 점포선택속성과 시장에 대해 갖는 소비감정, 소비자 가치와 관계품질의 관계를 분석함으로써 장기적인 차원의 시장 경쟁력 강화를 위한 단서를 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 점포선택속성의 3개 요인의 관계품질의 정도와 함께 점포선택속성과 소비자 가치, 소비자 가치와 관계품질 간을 대학생들이 지각하는 소비감정의 정도가 조절역할을 하는지를 분석하였다. 또한 점포선택속성과 관계품질 간의 관계에 대한 소비자 가치의 매개역할에 대해 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 점포선택속성 중 서비스 요인과 광고 요인이 관계품질에 정(+)적인 영향을 나타내었다. 이런 결과는 대학생들이 시장에 대해 신뢰하고 만족하는 요인이 서비스와 광고임을 의미하고 있다는 것과 시장의 점포분위기가 관계품질에 미치는 영향이 미미함을 의미한다. 추가적인 분석을 하지 않아 속단할 수는 없지만 대학생들이 갖는 시장이라는 이미지의 고정관념은 관계품질에 크게 영향을 주지 않기 때문이라 추정할 수 있다. 둘째, 대학생들은 시장의 점포선택속성에 있어 서비스 요인을 가장 중요한 것으로 선택하여 시장이 대형점포들과의 경쟁에서 우위를 차지하기 위해서는 대형점포들의 셀프서비스 방식이라는 한계점을 넘어 서비스 요인의 강화가 필요함을 의미하고 있다. 셋째, 점포선택속성과 소비자 가치, 소비자 가치와 관계품질 각각의 관계에 대한 소비감정의 조절효과는 모두 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 즉, 소비감정의 정도는 점포선택속성과 소비자 가치의 인과관계에 영향이 없음을 의미하며, 소비자 가치와 관계품질의 인과관계에도 영향이 없음을 뜻한다. 이는 대학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시한 결과일 가능성이 있어 추가 연구에 일반인을 대상으로 다시 분석해볼 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 소비자 가치는 서비스 요인과 관계품질, 광고 요인과 관계품질 모두에 완전 매개함을 나타내 시장과 소비자의 관계품질 향상을 위해 가장 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 즉, 시장이 소비자들에 대한 관계품질 개선을 위해서는 미래의 잠재고객인 대학생들에게 시장에 대한 가치를 충분히 느낄 수 있는 다양한 전략을 수립해야 함을 의미한다. 말미에는 이 연구결과를 통해 얻을 수 있는 영향과 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다.

소비자 의사결정유형에 따른 소매점 평가 및 선호도 분석 (Consumers' evaluation and preference in retail store by their decision-making style)

  • On this research, we classified Korean consumers into several comsumer groups based on the different decision-making process they endorse, and then investigated the difference among these consumer groups in frequency, expenditure, satisfaction in using different types of retail stores. For this research, we have surveyed consumers dwelling in Seoul and in near-Seoul areas in 2004. The following is the summary of the main results. First, 'enjoy shopping' group showed a high expenditure rate in department store shopping and internet shopping, whereas 'impulsive decision' group more frequently visited traditional market places, 'fashion pursuing' group and 'enjoy shopping' group visited department stores more frequently than traditional market places. Second, 'impulsive decision' group assessed that the traditional market place offers better price and quality. Also 'impulsive decision' group and 'enjoy shopping' group assessed positively on the AS provided by department stores, and assessed negatively on the AS provided by internet shopping malls. Finally, 'fashion pursuer' group preferred buying foods from traditional market places, while 'brand seeker' group and 'fashion pursuer' group preferred buying clothes from discount stores. While 'enjoy shopping' group showed a high preference in buying clothes in department stores, 'rational decision-making' group showed a low preference in buying clothes in department stores.

인터넷을 통한 패션상품 구매행동의 탐색적 연구 (Consumers’Purchasing Process of Fashion Products on the Internet: A Qualitative Approach)

  • Although interest in the potential and actual usage of the Internet as a transaction medium is increasing, the market for fashion merchandise on the Internet in Korea has yet to take off. As the Internet environment is expected to bring about a transformation of conventional consumer buying behavior, the purpose of this exploratory research is to investigate the buying behavior of fashion products on the Internet to identify relevant concepts and generate hypotheses for further empirical research. The research methods selected for the study were observation and in-depth interview. Twelve subjects who had purchased fashion products on the Internet were selected and interviewed. Those who could not participate in face-to-face in-depth interviews because of the geographic locations were interviewed on-line. The results are as follows: First, subjects went through the stages of shopping motivation stage, site choice behavior stage, in-site behavior stage, and postpurchase behavior stage. Second, a model was extracted for each shopping stage, and a final model was completed based on comparisons with the participants processes. The information content of each phase was discussed. Finally, each participant was classified using their purchasing process, revealing six possible mixed usage patterns of the Internet marketing system and the traditional marketing system.

옷감 구매행동에 있어서 지각된 위험 (perceived Risk)의 역할에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationships between Purchasing Behavior of Textile and Perceived Risk.)

  • The main problem of consumer behavior is choice since the outcome of me of a choice can only be known in the future, consumers are forced to deal with the risks of und\certainty. So, perception of risk is pivotal aspect of consumer behavior. This study was designed to investigate the relationships between purchasing behavior of textile and perceived risk. Data were obtained from 276 housewives. ANOVA, x2-test were employed to analyse the data. The result were : 1. general features of textile purchase behavior are as follows. Blend wools and pure wool products are prefered. Fall is the major season in purchasing textile. Wholesalers, department stores and agent stores are prefered. Purchasing decision making process independent upon not only textile itself but the practice value of the textile. Purchasing textile, married young women depend on outward shape of the textile, middle and old aged groups depend on the economic value of the textile and the credibility of the stores. 2. Perception of risk is relatively high in the preference of store, color/design, and psycological uncertainty. But the perceived risks is relatively low in brand, price and social credibility. 3. There is significant relationship between the recognition rate of risk and the sensitiveness of the consumer. In addition, there are strong relationship between the risk rate and the preference of shop, brand, and price. On the other hand, there are no significant relationship between the color, design, and sociopsyco-logical risk and demographic variables. 4. The perceived risk of consumer would be a key stone to grasp the consumer behavior. The product company needs to provide full information which could reduce the perceived risk of consumer. there attitude would help for the mutual interests. In the future research, we need to develop the precise methods for finding variables on the perceived risk during the process of making purchase intention.

유통경로 유형별 모 브랜드태도와 브랜드확장 평가도의 관계 (Relationships of Parent Brand Attitude and the Evaluation Level of Brand Extension by Distribution Channel Types)

  • 본 연구는 브랜드확장 평가에 대한 범주화 평가과정 모델(categorical evaluation processes model)을 참고하여 유통경로 유형별 광고태도(Aad), 점포태도, 브랜드태도(Ab), 브랜드확장 평가도, 확장제품 구매의도들 간의 구조적인 관계에서 영향력의 차이를 실증적으로 검증하려 하였다. 연구 결과, "유통경로 유형 모 브랜드태도가 브랜드확장 평가도와 확장제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향의 정도에 차이가 있을 것이다." 라는 여섯 가지 가설 중에서 점포태도와 브랜드태도와의 관계, 브랜드태도와 브랜드확장 평가도와의 관계, 브랜드확장 평가도와 확장제품 구매의도와의 각 이론변수간의 관계에서만 각 유통경로 유형별로 영향력이 다르게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 유통경로 유형별 브랜드확장평가는 모 브랜드태도와 브랜드확장평가도와의 관계를 소비자관점에서 구조적으로 분석하여야 하며 이는 브랜드확장 제품 유통경로구조 개선에 중요한 정보를 제공하고 브랜드확장 성공률을 높일 수 있다.

유통업자 브랜드 이미지의 영향요인과 신뢰 및 고객 애호도와의 관계에 관한 연구 (Relationships between the Effect Factors of Private Brand Images and Customer Trust and Loyalty)

  • Purpose - Recently, many large retailers have been frequently purchasing commercial brands. Not only the quality of products purchased but also the brand images are of concern in this process. Based on this rising trend, commercial brands have become an important issue in the retail business world, along with increasing general interest as well. Thus, this study focuses on the factors affecting commercial brand images and clarifies the impact of the resulting factors as well. First, store images and familiarity, price sensitiveness, and knowledge are presented as the effect factors for commercial brands. Second, the study tries to clarify the effect of commercial brand image on the reliability and loyalty of customers. Research design, data, and methodology - To conduct the study methodology, 250 questionnaires were distributed to retailers who have used large discount stores located in Busan to purchase a commercial brand a total of 234 valid questionnaires were used in the final analysis. To verify the hypotheses, a structure equation formula using Amos 20.0 was calculated. First, prior to the verification of hypotheses, the reliability and feasibility of the questions were tested, and as a result, the value of Cronbach's alpha was higher than 0.7, thereby showing reliability. Additionally, for the verification of the feasibility of the questions, a confirmation factor analysis was implemented. Results - First, variances such as store images, familiarity, price sensitivity, and knowledge were presented as the factors of effect on commercial brands. As a result of the hypotheses verification, all the effect factors presented in this study were confirmed as important variables of commercial brand images. The hypotheses were drawn based on the studies relating to existing commercial brands, and thereby, a result similar to previous studies was produced. However, the effect factors of the commercial brand image presented in this study shaped a new study model based on the previous studies. Second, it was found that commercial brand images had positive effects on the reliability and loyalty of customers. This study presented reliability and loyalty as the resulting factors of commercial brand image because they are the most important factors in relation to customer behavior and variables that can suggest marketing points for distribution businesses. Conclusions - This study focused on clarifying the factors that are important effect factors for commercial brand images. As a result, all the hypotheses were confirmed in this study, indicating a meaningful result, and thereby suggesting many points that can be presented to distribution businesses. First, the proper strategies should be developed based on the hypothesis that a store image, the familiarity of customers with brands, and the price sensitiveness and knowledge level of customers have an important effect on the choice of commercial brands. Additionally, the formation of such favorable images will have positive effects not only in terms of customer trust in the commercial brands but also in terms of their loyalty.

일본의 대규모 소매점포 규제 정책 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Changes in Regulatory Policy against Large-scale Retail Stores in Japan)

  • Purpose - This study aims to investigate the process of political changes in Japan, which has introduced regulatory policies for large-scale retail stores since the 1930s, as well as the examples, and suggests improvement schemes for our policies in Korea, which imposes restrictions on business hours and forced holidays in accordance with the current Distribution Industry Development Act. Research design, data, and methodology - After examining the political change processes related to large-scale retail stores in japan, this study analyzes individually regulated cases based on the ordinances enacted by each local government. Through case analysis in Japan, this study makes political suggestions that may be helpful for our country substantially. Results - Since there is an obvious possibility that our economic restrictions on business hours and mandatory holidays do not coincide with WTO GATS, it is necessary for large-scale distributors to introduce new social and environmental regulations similar to Japan, rather than imposing controls to restrict free competition and also introduce a policy to induce cooperation with small businesses for the advancement of the distribution industry. Thus, it is desirable to take measures on noise, waste, traffic, and parking for the preservation of the living environment in the surroundings when building new large-scale retail stores. It is also important to establish measures to improve the welfare of neighborhood residents and consumers, create a pleasant urban environment, and make it mandatory to make presentations at public hearings among residents. Furthermore, it should be mandatory to establish regional contribution plans when a retail store is established, and take measures to solve various civil complaints or problems that may occur after entering the market. Moreover, it is desirable for large-scale retail stores that entered the market to induce cooperation in performing various activities in the area with a strong sense that they are all members of the local economy. Conclusions - If introducing social regulations like in Japan, there is probably an advantage that the conflicts seen when large-scale retail stores enter the market are absorbed by adjusting the persons concerned within the established institution in order to establish a field to solve such conflicts systematically. In contrast, there are still concerns regarding chaotic operation without any active attempts to have a conversation with large-scale retail stores and local small merchants due to a sharp conflict among the persons concerned, and if it is a briefing session without any decision of the restrictions on their opening itself, there may be doubts with regard to their effectiveness. Moreover, if the de facto opening is restricted by the introduction of such a briefing session procedure, the choice of whether to protect the existing rights of large-scale retail stores might become problematic. However, such problems could be minimized in a way by forming a separate consultative group for all persons concerned including residents, local governments, professionals, civic organizations, small merchants, and massive retail store-related persons.

마케팅 믹스 요소가 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Marketing Mix elements on brand Equity)

  • Many researches on brand equity have been focused in definition about it, factors of it, and the process of formation. Most of them have been used by voluntary production category, as is durable goods or nondurable goods. But this study, using the model is developed by Foote, Cone & Be1ding(FCB) Company, classified four fields, high-low involvement, rationality(rational or sensitive) involvement. The selected goods is a sensitive high involvement(casual wear). This study investigate the effects of brand equity and search the influences of brand equity formation according to factors of marketing mix. To this goals, this study kept a literature survey and a demonstrative research. In literature survey, there are several definitions of brand and brand equity. The research model is derived from selected factors of marketing mix and former study. This study used the regression analysis to verify effects from brand equity through the selected marketing mix. The research data is collected from the capital area. The focus of this study is effects of brand equity according to marketing mix. The followings are results and suggestions of this study. First, in the price factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the perceived quality and the brand awareness in a rational high involvement goods, the perceived quality and the brand associations in a sensitive high involvement goods, all factors of brand equity in a rational low involvement goods, and the perceived quality in a sensitive low involvement goods. As summary, the important characteristics is the price factors to consumers, and consumers recognize that a high price means a high quality. Second, in the store image factors, the affirmative effects are revealed all brand equity factors in a rational high involvement and a sensitive high-low involvement. A good store image incites more interest, contact, and visit from potential consumer. And such store offers more consumer satisfaction, simulates more active and positive conversation to consumers. Third, in advertising spending factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness and associations in a rational high involvement and a sensitive high involvement, all brand equity factors in a rational low involvement and a sensitive low involvement. An advertisement increases not only a brand awareness but also strong brand associations. Forth, in price promotion factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand associations in a rational high involvement, the negative effects are revealed all brand equity in sensitive high involvement. According the result about the effects of brand royalty through the brand equity factors, a perceived quality and brand associations have positive effects to brand royalty in all factors. Consumers choice a deep perceived quality than other competitive brand. So, brand equity will increase according to a qualitative grade of a perceived brand by consumers. Brand associations represent a quality and a degree of involvement. In conclusion, brand associations and equity have a positive relation each other. According to the analysis results about a brand royalty of selected marketing mix factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the store image and price promotion factors in a rational high involvement, the price and store image in a sensitive high involvement, and the price and advertising spending in a rational low involvement. The results about the affect of selected marketing mix factors according to brand equity, are the perceived quality in a high involvement, and all brand equity factors in a low involvement. The affirmative effects about a store image are revealed all equity factors in high-low involvement. In advertising spending factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness and associations in a high involvement goods, and the perceived quality and the brand awareness in a low involvement goods. In price promotion factors, the affirmative effects are revealed the brand awareness in a low involvement goods, and the negative effects are revealed the brand awareness in a high involvement goods. According to a degree of involvement, the results of a brand royalty through a brand equity factors are following. The affirmative effects are revealed the perceived quality and the brand royalty in a high involvement goods, and the brand awareness are revealed a negative effect. The affirmative effects are revealed the perceived Quality and the brand associations in a low involvement goods. So, in a high involvement goods, the brand royalty is built by strong brand associations, but, in a low involvement goods, the brand royalty is built also by a perceived Quality and a brand awareness. This study have some concept of limitation. So, this study presents a future direction of research. First, a future study has to have more deep analysis for this study analyzed through a limited marketing mix factors. Second, a future research has to get mutual effects about brand equity of marketing mix factors for this study has an individual marketing decision factors. Third, for the future, a brand equity needs a research about a several goods such as services, profit or nonprofit, industrial products, culture, and so on. Forth, the research have to diversify a various data for population.

전치문과 도치문의 담화화용론적인 비교 (A Discourse-Pragmatic Study of Preposing and Inversion in English.)

  • 본 논문에서는 문장의 어떤 구성성분을 앞으로 이동한 후 주어-동사의 표준어순으로 나타나는 전치문과 동사-주어의 비표준어순으로 나타나는 도치문에 대하여 각각의 통사적 특징과 담화 화용론적 기능을 살펴보고, 전치문과 도치문을 비교하여 그 차이점과 공통점을 알아보았다. 다양한 구성요소의 이동에 따라 명사구 전치, 전치사구 전치, 형용사구 전치, 동사구 전치, 분사구 전치 등으로 구별되어 고려되어왔던 다양한 전치문들을 주제화라는 하나의 통합된 규칙으로 설명하였으며, 모든 전치 구성성분은 현 담화를 이전담화에 연결시키며, 이전 담화로부터 주어진 요소임과 동시에 현 담화의 틀을 제공한다는 점에서 그 문장 또는 그 담화의 주제라고 보았다. Ward(1990)가 논의한 동사구 전치의 네 가지 기능, 즉 독립적 명제확인, 양보적확인, 정도확인, 명제유보의 기능을 하나로 일반화하여 주제에 대한 논평을 첨가하는 ‘주제+논평’ 구조로 보았다. 전치와 후치를 모두 포함하고 있는 도치문에서 전치되는 요소들은 문장 또는 담화 내에서 구정보를, 후치된 성분은 신정보를 표시한다. 즉, 문장요소의 담화상의 친숙도가 이동하는 구성성분의 문장내의 위치를 결정하는데 결정적이다. 도치문에서 전치된 요소는 문장 내에서 ‘실용’, ‘연결’, ‘강조’, ‘소개’ 등의 다양한 기능을 하는데 이를 전치성분은 후치된 명사구를 이전 담화에 명시적으로 나타났거나 추론가능한 정보와 연결하는 ‘연결’기능을 하는 것으로 설명하였다. 전치문과 도치문은 이전 담화와 어떻게든 연결관계를 갖는다는 것이 공통적인데, 전치문에서 전치요소는 절대적인 구정보를 표시하나, 도치문에서는 담화상 상대적 구정보를 표시하기만 하면 된다. 이것으로 화자가 발화시 전치시키는 요소는 그 요소가 청자의 지식 내에서 어떤 정보상태에 있다고 화자가 평가하는가에 따라 전치문을 선택할지 도치문을 선택할지가 결정됨을 알 수 있다.

한국소비자 특성과 구매성향이 브랜드 선택에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influences of Korean Consumer Characteristics and Propensity to Purchase in Brand Choice)

  • 본 연구는 소비자 선택행위에 대한 설명과 예측에 유용한 이산적 선택모델들 중 널리 알려진 다항 로짓모형(Multinomial Logit Model)을 통해 소비자의 특성과 구매 행동을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 미용화장지 시장을 중심으로 제조업자 브랜와 유통업자 브랜드간 경쟁상황을 파악하고 어떤 인구 통계적 특성과 마케팅 변수들이 소비자들의 브랜드 선택에 영향을 미치는가를 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 개개인의 시점별 구매기록이 담겨진 패널(panel) 자료를 연구목적에 맞도록 재구성하고 소비자의 구매시점별 브랜드 선택 확률 및 이에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 분석을 진행하였다. 실증분석 결과 구매자의 연령과 소득이 높을수록 제조업자 브랜드 구매확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 구매 장소가 달라짐에 따라 브랜드 선택에 중요한 영향을 미치는데, 백화점이나 대형할인점에서는 유통업자 브랜드를 선택하는 것으로 확인되었다. 판매촉진의 경우에는 고소득자는 오히려 구매확률이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 판매촉진의 형태가 사은품일 경우보다 가격할인이 일어날 경우에 구매확률이 더 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 구매단계별 분석결과를 살펴보면, 유명제조업자 브랜드 충성고객은 가격이 높을수록 구매확률이 증가하고, 유통업자 브랜드를 지속적으로 구매하는 고객은 가격할인을 통한 판매촉진에 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났다.
