  • The changes of conventional clarification processe and an increase in treatment cost are required to meet increasingly stringent regulations related to the treated water quality. Although many enhanced coagulations have introduced to improve organic matter removal, the results to remove color, nitrogen and phosphorus as well as organic material have not been very efficient yet. In this context as new flocculation using calcium hydroxide and magnesum sulfate was carried out. The removal of waste matters such as SS, organic matter, COD, nitrogen and phosphorus contained in stock wastewater was carried out by using the combination of calcium hydroxide and magnesium sulfate. The flocculation was investigated as a function of coagulant dose, pH, mixing time, settling time and coagulant addition modes such as the sequential addition of the two coagulants and the simultaneous addition of them. The flocculation by the combination of calcium hydroxide and magnesium sulfate was compared with that by aluminum sulfate. The mechanism of flocculation was investigated as well. About 60% of COD in stock watewater was removed by flocculation with combination of calcium hydroxide and magnesium sulfate.

  • We analyzed the effect of three different types of inventory systems for saving the total cost using simulation on the system where multiple depots and many retailers disperse on the limited area. Three types of inventory systems are single echelon system with inventory exchange and two-echelon system and the variant two-echelon system. Variant two echelon system is the two-echelon system where the inventory transshipmentsare allowed on every two stage inventory echelons. Inventories kept on every retailer are commonly used for all retailers when certain retailer has stock-out. And when all retailers are stock-out, inventories kept on every depot are commonly used for the retailers whose assigned depots are stock-out. These all three systems are simulated with the constraint of service level on wide range of parameter settings. Simulation results show that cost saving effect appear clear for single echelon system and two-echelon system when shortage cost portion and transportation cost portion becomes large respectively irrespective of depot number. Variant two echelon system seems to be superior to two other systems when transportationcost portion becomes very small. But this superiority is not proved in terms of statistics. So we may conclude that the variant two echelon system may be useless with the higher administrative efforts due to frequent inventory exchange. Also we note that the traditional two echelon system becomes inferior to two other systems in terms of statistics when service level becomes high or when demand variance becomes very large. And inventory integration effect that cost becomes saved when depot number decrease, diminishes when transportation cost or stock-out cost increases irrespective of inventory systems.

  • Unused spare parts of military equipments which have been kept in the warehouse for a long term have been recognized as wasting of defense budget which also decreased people's confidence in the field of national defence. It is known that overstock is caused by information distortion and bullwhip effect from downstream to upstream in the logistic support as is like business cases. After upgrading the logistic information system, it is possible for Army Logistics Command(ALC) to know demand information of end-user which is the key factor to reduce bullwhip effect. However, inventory is still overstocked and stock-out at the same time. Previous studies have not accounted for these phenomenons and have mainly focused on forecasting inventory level instead of budgetary process(budget period, PROLT, ASL/N-ASL). Thus, this study focuses on the information distortion, overstock and stock-out which caused by budgetary process in the logistic support with system dynamics and simulation.

  • Analysis of major nutritional components and Sensory evaluation in two kinds of beef bone stocks (White & Brown) have been Carried out in this study, these stocks were prepared with four different parts of beef bone (Knee bone, Rumpbone, Legbone, Backbone). White bone stocks were made of each beef bone boiling in water & hours, while brown bone stocks were prepared with roasted beef bone in the oven at $230^{\circ}C$ for half an hour and boiled 8 hours with water. Fatty acids were determined by GLC (Gas Lipids Chromatogram), the minerals were analysed by Automic spectrometer. The results of these analysis were obtained as followes; 1. Neutral lipids was gradually becreased, and glycolipids phospholipids were increased in quantity in Brown stocks for 8 hours. Unsaturated fatty accid of Brown stocks was highly decreased due to roasting of bores in the oven at 23$0^{\circ}C$ for half an hour. But they appeared in large quantity in white stocks. 2. The minerals also contained of high percentage in almost Brown stock except backbone Stock 3. Four materials (Kneebone, Rumpbone, Legbone, and backbone) were used for this study and the paired comparison of flavor test presented the recognition of different flavor at 5% level of Least Significant Difference (LSD) on brown stocks (Kneebone, and Legbone). Ranking preference test showed that white Kneebone stock and brown legbone stock had good taste.

  • The study investigates Environmental Accounting Information (EAI) as well as factors affecting the environmental accounting implementation by the construction firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), Vietnam. After eliminating seven enterprises that lacked data, the authors selected a sample of 112 observations from 28 construction businesses listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in the period 2015-2018. This study uses research data extracted from the companies' annual reports. Then, the data are analyzed by Stata 13 software, including descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient analysis, regression analysis of table data using estimation methods (Pooled OLS, REM, FEM), and testing of model defects (heteroskedasticity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test). The results show that construction companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange have out factors affecting the environmental accounting implementation by these enterprises, including independent audit firm and listed time. While the independent auditor firm has a positive and significant impact, the listed time has a negative influence. In addition, our study has confirmed the role of institutional factors affecting the disclosure level of EAI on the implementation of environmental accounting by construction enterprises listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.

  • This paper studies market efficiency from a weak form aspect using opening and closing prices of the Shanghai stock exchange composite index (SSEC) and Shenzhen stock exchange composite index (SZSEC) under the expected return theory. Classical methods (autocorrelation and runs test) are used to examine the features of stock returns, and little evidence against mutual independence of returns is found. We predict daily returns of SSEC and SZSEC with AR(p) and VAR(p) models (in this paper, p = 5 is taken as a one-week lag) and perform a virtual experiment on two indexes based on the predicted value of daily returns from AR(p) or VAR(p) model. From the results of AR(p) and VAR(p) for two indexes, we attempt to find out how the market efficiency level changes when the information from the other market is under consideration as we check the market efficiency level in one market. We find that SSEC in 2014-2016 and SZSEC in 2015-2016 are inefficient from the result of autocorrelation, that SSEC in 2016 and SZSEC in 2013 are not efficient from the result of runs test, that the stock market is efficient except 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2017 in SSEC and 2005, 2016 and 2017 in SZSEC and that SSEC is more influenced by SZSEC but SSEC influences SZSEC less from the result of the virtual experiment.

  • Commercial banks have a significant impact on the economy of Vietnam because they provide the majority of transactional capital. Therefore, the operational efficiency of commercial banks is a viral topic for the study of the Vietnamese banking system. The research aims to examine the efficiency and inefficiency of joint-stock commercial banks in Vietnam from 2016 to 2020 and then classify them into the efficient group and inefficient group. The study employs the time series data of 29 joint-stock commercial banks during the period 2016-2020. Based on the data collected from the annual audited financial statements of 29 Vietnamese joint-stock commercial banks, the authors select input and output variables for the standard DEA models and anti-efficient DEA models. This research uses two stages, first, by applying the standard DEA model, we investigate the efficient banks; second, by employing the anti-efficient DEA model, we find out the inefficient banks. The results reveal that the average efficiency score of 29 joint-stock commercial banks tends to increase in the period 2016-2018 and decrease gradually in the period 2019-2020. The findings of this study suggest that several small and medium-sized banks in the Vietnamese banking sector have both promising and risky performances and the efficiency of state-owned commercial banks has also improved significantly during the study period.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the wire retention on newsprint process mainly composed of Groundwood Pulp(GP) and Deinked Pulp(DIP) with change of stock mixture ratio according to variation of stock temperature, stock pH, rosin and alum amount. The obtained results were summarized as follows 1. The wire retention was decreased continuously with increasing of stock temperature regardless of stock type. The retention of DIP stock was more rapidly decreased than GP stock. 2. Maximum retention was obtained at pH 5. The retention of GP stock was more rapidly decreased below or over pH 5 in comparison with DIP. 3. Maximum retention was obtained at 2% alum level on GP and GP/DIP=50/50, but 3% alum level in case of DIP. 4. Higher retention efficiency was obtained in case of adding alum after using 1% rosin in comparison with alum only. 5. The retention was mainly affected by fiber flocculation.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the level of emotional responses and corresponding behavioral responses of consumers who have experienced out-of-stock (OOS) shopping. Answers were gathered from 526 people in the 20-49 year age range, residing in a metropolitan area. SPSS 18.0 was used to perform factor analysis, reliability measures and regression analysis. The subordinate concept of emotional responses from consumers who experience an OOS event while at an on online shopping mall is the first subject of research for this study; this is tied in with three central factors; namely, anger/annoyance, anxiety and feeling regret. These can be further categorized into a positive emotional response and a negative emotional response. The experiment scrutinizes how emotional responses towards an OOS event experience affect behavioral responses. It then focuses on positive emotional responses as the second subject of this research: namely, how regret significantly affects the product substitution (S), and how anger/annoyance, anxiety and regret significantly influence a delayed purchase (D). Anger/annoyance, anxiety and regret significantly affect the incomplete store switch over (L1), and anger/annoyance and anxiety significantly influence the complete store switch over (L2).
