도시철도차량 세브론 고무 특성 변화가 진동승차감 레벨에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Changes in Chevron Rubber Characteristics on the Vibrational Ride Comfort Level of a Subway Vehicle)

  • The suspension system of a subway vehicle is composed of $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ springs. The suspension system is the most important parameter in determining the vibration ride comfort. If the $1^{st}$ suspension spring is designed as a spring with strong stiffness to improve the running stability at high speed, it causes vehicle vibrations. In this paper, by testing and analyzing changes of the characteristics of Chevron springs, which have been the primary suspension springs used for about 20 years, we study how changing the characteristics affects vehicle acceleration and ride comfort. The lateral and longitudinal vibrational ride comfort index levels were lower than the vertical ones. Therefore, as increasing the stiffness of Chevron springs has the greatest effect on the vertical vibrational ride comfort index level, a countermeasure for vertical vibration reduction is needed when the stiffness increases owing to aging. Finally, maintenance guidelines, including the replacement time for the Chevron rubber, were proposed based on these findings.

Nonlinear finite element model of the beam-to-column connection for precast concrete frames with high ratio of the continuity tie bars

  • The rotational stiffness of a semi-rigid beam-to-column connection plays an important role in the reduction of the second-order effects in the precast concrete skeletal frames. The aim of this study is to present a detailed nonlinear finite element study to reproduce the experimental response of a semi-rigid precast beam-to-column connection composed by corbel, dowel bar and continuity tie bars available in the literature. A parametric study was carried using four arrangements of the reinforcing tie bars in the connection, including high ratio of the continuity tie bars passing around the column in the cast-in-place concrete. The results from the parametric study were compared to analytical equations proposed to evaluate the secant rotational stiffness of beam-to-column connections. The good agreement with the experimental results was obtained, demonstrating that the finite element model can accurately predict the structural behaviour of the beam-to-column connection despite its complex geometric configuration. The secant rotational stiffness of the connection was good evaluated by the analytical model available in the literature for ratio of the continuity tie bars of up to 0.69%. Precast beam-to-column connection with a ratio of the continuity tie bars higher than 1.4% had the secant stiffness overestimated. Therefore, an adjustment coefficient for the effective depth of the crack at the end of the beam was proposed for the analytical model, which is a function of the ratio of the continuity tie bars.

주행 중 실내소음과 Wheel의 Lateral Dynamic Stiffness와의 상관관계에 대한 시험적 연구 (The Experimental Study on the Correlation of the Interior Noise of a Driving Vehicle with Lateral Dynamic Stiffness of the Wheel)

  • 현재 소비자들이 자동차를 선택하는 여러 이유 중에서, NVH 성능이 아주 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 근래 하이브리드 및 전기자동차들은 전통적인 차량의 주요 소음원 이었던 엔진의 소음이 거의 발생되지 않아 자동차 실내의 소음에 대한 관심은 더욱 커지고 있다. 해외 참고문헌에 의하면 자동차 휠의 높은 Lateral Dynamic Stiffness(LDS)가 운전 중 발생되는 Structure Bone Noise(SBN)를 저감시키는 것으로 기술되어 있다. 하지만 유효한 기준 및 시험적 결과가 미비하여, 본 연구에서는 LDS가 서로 다른 휠에 동일 타이어를 부착하여 실내소음을 시험 측정하였다. 그 결과 휠의 LDS에 따라 실내소음이 변화되는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 휠의 최적설계로 실내소음의 저감이 가능할수 있다.

Seismic performance of lateral load resisting systems

  • In buildings structures, the flexural stiffness reduction of beams and columns due to concrete cracking plays an important role in the nonlinear load-deformation response of reinforced concrete structures under service loads. Most Seismic Design Codes do not precise effective stiffness to be used in seismic analysis for structures of reinforced concrete elements, therefore uncracked section properties are usually considered in computing structural stiffness. But, uncracked stiffness will never be fully recovered during or after seismic response. In the present study, the effect of concrete cracking on the lateral response of structure has been taken into account. Totally 120 cases of 3 Dimensional Dynamic Analysis which considers the real and accidental torsional effects are performed using ETABS to determine the effective structural system across the height, which ensures the performance and the economic dimensions that achieve the saving in concrete and steel amounts thus achieve lower cost. The result findings exhibits that the dual system was the most efficient lateral load resisting system based on deflection criterion, as they yielded the least values of lateral displacements and inter-storey drifts. The shear wall system was the most economical lateral load resisting compared to moment resisting frame and dual system but they yielded the large values of lateral displacements in top storeys. Wall systems executes tremendous stiffness at the lower levels of the building, while moment frames typically restrain considerable deformations and provide significant energy dissipation under inelastic deformations at the upper levels. Cracking found to be more impact over moment resisting frames compared to the Shear wall systems. The behavior of various lateral load resisting systems with respect to time period, mode shapes, storey drift etc. are discussed in detail.

  • 본 논문에서는 고 중량물을 빠르게 이송시키며'Pick & Place'작업을 수행하는 병렬로봇의 작동강성 최적설계에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 20~30kg 의 고 중량물을 사용하여 특정 작업을 빠르게 수행하기 위해서는 빠른 응답속도를 위한 관성 기구부 경량 설계와 동시에 동작의 정밀도를 위한 고 강성설계가 필요하다. 하지만 요구조건인 관성 기구부 경량 설계와 고강성 설계는 상호 배타적인 관계이므로 본 연구에서는 다물체동역학 해석을 통해서 병렬로봇의 동적 거동을 분석함으로써 로봇의 작동 중에 작용하는 하중상태를 분석하였고, 상호 배타적인 두 성능을 동시에 만족시키기 위해 관성 기구부 위상 최적 설계를 수행하였다. 그리고 위상 최적설계 결과를 병렬로봇에 적용하여 그 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

Effect of stud corrosion on stiffness in negative bending moment region of steel-concrete composite beams

  • Corrosion of the headed studs shear connectors is an important factor in the reduction of the durability and mechanical properties of the steel-concrete composite structure. In order to study the effect of stud corrosion on the mechanical properties in the negative moment region of steel-concrete composite beams, the corrosion of stud was carried out by accelerating corrosion method with constant current. Static monotonic loading was adopted to evaluate the cracking load, interface slip, mid-span deflection, and ultimate bearing capacity of four composite beams with varying corrosion rates of headed studs. The effect of stud corrosion on the stiffness of the composite beam's hogging moment zone during normal service stage was thoroughly examined. The results indicate that the cracking load decreased by 50% as the corrosion rate of headed studs increase to 10%. Meanwhile, due to the increase of interface slip and mid-span deflection, the bending stiffness dropped significantly with the same load. In comparison to uncorroded specimens, the secant stiffness of specimens with 0.5 times ultimate load was reduced by 25.9%. However, corrosion of shear studs had no obvious effect on ultimate bending capacity. Based on the experimental results and the theory of steel-concrete interface slip, a method was developed to calculate the bending stiffness in the negative bending moment region of composite beams during normal service stage while taking corrosion of headed studs into account. The validity of the calculation method was demonstrated by data analysis.

피로 손상을 입은 직교 복합재료 적충보의 진동 특성 (Vibration Characterization of Cross-ply Laminates Beam with Fatigue Damage)

  • 피로 손상을 입은 복합재료 적층보의 모재 균열로 인한 유효 휨 강성 저하 모델를 제시하고 이 모형에 대한 고유 진동수 변화를 예측하는 새로운 비파괴 예측 모델을 개발하였다. 인장 하중하에서 피로 손상을 입은 직교 복합재료 적층보의 고유진동수는 유효 휨 강성 저하를 $0^{\circ}$층과 $90^{\circ}$층의 탄성 계수와 함수 관계로 둠으로서 복합재료 적층보의 피로수명을 예측하였다. 피로 하중하에서 복합재료 적층보의 $90^{\circ}$층 탄성 계수 저하와 다른 층($0^{\circ}$층)에 본래 갖고 있는 탄성 계수를 적층판 이론에 적용하여 유효 휨 강성을 유도하였다. 직교 복합재료 적층보에 대해 피로 실험시 초기의 파단 양상은 대개 $90^{\circ}$층에서의 모재 균열이 지배적으로 나타나는데, 이를 이용하여 고유진동수 감소 모델은 직교 복합재료 적층보에서의 고유진동수 대 피로 사이클 곡선을 나타낼 수 있었다. 이와 같은 고유진동수 감소 모델의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 $[{90}_2/0_2]_s$ 탄소섬유/에폭시 복합재료 적층보에 대한 진동 실험을 수행하였다. 본 모델의 예측 결과와 실험 결과가 잘 일치하는 바 본 논문에서 제시한 강성 저하 모델의 타당성을 입증하였다.

전자장비 구조기인소음 저감방안의 실험적 검토 (An Experimental Analysis of the Structure-Borne Noise Reduction on Electrical Equipment)

  • 본 논문은 전자장비의 구조기인소음 (structure-borne noise)의 실험적 저감방안 검토에 대한 내용을 다루었다. 수냉식 전자장비의 유일한 소음원인 냉각장치를 목업(mock-up)으로 제작하여 소음 특성을 파악하였으며, 전원에 의한 영향, 구조체 강성에 의한 영향, 팬 고정부위의 절연에 의한 효과, 마운트의 공진주파수가 미치는 영향 등에 대한 검토를 수행하였다. 이를 반영하여 제작된 전자장비 프로토타입의 소음 특성을 파악하였으며, 구조기인소음을 저감시키기 위하여 작동회전수(rpm) 조합, 마운트 종류 및 설치방법 등에 대하여 검토하였다. 냉각팬 작동 주파수의 1차, 4차 성분에 의하여 소음이 크게 발생하며, 구조체 강성증가, 팬 고정부위 절연, 마운트 공진주파수 저하, 작동회전수조합, 마운트 선정방법 등에 의하여 전자장비의 구조소음을 저감시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

EPS의 압축성을 이용한 콘크리트 옹벽 시스템 연구 (Retaining Wall System Using the Compressible Inclusion Function of EPS)

  • The last 30 years have been significant worldwide growth in the use of EPS as a lightweight fill material. This paper analyzes the compressible inclusion function of EPS which can results in reduction of static earth pressure by accomodating the movement of retained soil. A series of model tests was conducted to evaluate the reduction of static earth pressure using EPS inclusion and determine the optimum stiffness of EPS, Also, field test was conducted to evaluate the reduction of static earth pressure using EPS inclusion. Based on field test it is found that the magnitude of static earth pressure was reduced about 20% compared with theoretical active earth pressure.

  • This paper presents the construction of consistent coefficient matrix elements for jointed structures using the reduction of flexibility and mass matrices. The reduced flexibility coefficient matrix hat little structural complexity than Guyan's stiffness matrix reduction since the only element of the original matrix, corresponding to the selected nodal degrees of freedom, contributes. The proposed method was applied to building equivalent coefficient matrices for a clamp jointed structure in finite element modal analysis of a cantilevered beam. The theoretical analysis results were compared with those experimental modal analysis, Comparison of both shows good agreement each other.
