  • Currently the fashion industry is developing to create a novel culture due to the very sensitive and knowledge-oriented advancement of the IT industry. With fast turnover of information, consumers have come to have a more diverse desire for purchasing. Cubical expression techniques, which empathizes formativeness, can be a creative expression method adjusting into the trend of this era. Along with functional aspects of consumers, even in a textile manufacturing sector, new materials are required to meet sensitive and emotional aspects. Consumers' desire for new and creative designs and the development and adoption of new materials are essential to meet their emotions. The IT industry and fashion industry are forced to combine and a 3D apparel CAD system has been developed, enabling virtual clothing to be represented within a computer virtual space. All processes such as design, pattern creation, sewing and simulation are possible in 3D level. Digital clothing can shorten the production process time and is very effective in that it can reduce clothing waste generated during the sample production. This paper reviewed the works of Dutch designer, Iris van Herpen, who has developed formative designs. She tries to build, construct, and sculpt employing diversified materials other than soft textile materials, as shown in her series of fashion shows. The materials include films, 3D printed polymers, stiff and sheer organza, and artificial leather textiles. A few characteristics of her works have been selected in order to prepare patterns exhibiting the traits. The paper further focused on the physical features of the textile materials used to express similar techniques and its various forms were reviewed.

생체전기자율반응 측정기와 한방진단시스템 및 맥진기 검사 해석의 상관성 연구 (A Study about Correlations between the Interpretations of Autonomic Bioelectric Response Recorder (ABR-2000) and Diagnosis System of Oriental Medicine (DSOM) / 3D Blood Pressure Pulse Analyzer (3D-MAC))

  • Objectives: This study was performed to observe the correlations between the results of ABR-2000 and DSOM / 3D-MAC to evaluate the feasibility of ABR-2000 as a oriental medical diagnostic criteria. Methods: We studied 547 women visiting ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ hospital from December 2012 to June 2015. The subjects were categorized in two groups, 'Hypotonia' and 'Non-Hypotonia' by the result of ABR-2000 and assessed the result of DSOM, 3D-MAC for each group. The differences of pulse wave factors by group also studied. Results: 1. There was no significant difference between two groups about the output frequency of pathogenic factors in DSOM while the result showed the higher correlation in Hypotonia group in terms of the companion tendency of pathogenic factors and syndromes formed by the combination of pathogenic factors. 2. The pulse waves of Hypotonia group were mostly slow, weak, tense and stiff than Non-Hypotonia group. Conclusions: 1. In Hypotonia group, yin deficiency (陰虛) factor was frequently accompanied and consumption (虛損) of various organs based on the yin deficiency (陰虛) was observed. It means chronic and severe condition of exhaustion syndrome (虛勞). 2. The result of 3D-MAC also means pathological feature of yin syndrome (陰 證) and consumption (虛損). Besides, lower scores of Body Surface Area (BSA), body weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI) were associated with body weakness (體瘦), a symptom of exhaustion syndrome (虛勞).

니트 자카드 조직의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of Knit Jacquard Structure)

  • This study is to designed to provide foundation for knit design which can apply the thickness and flexibility of jacquard knit by analyzing and comparing mechanical properties of 7 types of jacquard (normal jacquard, bird's eye jacquard, floating jacquard, tubular jacquard, ladder's back jacquard, blister jacquard, transfer jacquard) widely used in knit design to achieve the results. The sample was projected by using 7 gauge and SES-122S type computer knitting machine house tooth pattern with two colors were applied to 7 types of jacquard using Acrylic/Wool(30%/70%) $2/50.5^{\prime}s{\times}4ply\;yarn$ by Shimaseiki MFG., Ltd computer knitting machine. The mechanical properties of 7 types of jacquard samples were measured using KES-FB (Kawabata Evaluation System for Fabric, Kata Tech Co. Ltd). HV(Hand Value) and THV (Total Hand Value) were calculated by using the formula of KN-402-KT and KN-301-WINTER respectively. The measurements were evaluated by 0-to-5 rating scale. As result, the floating jacquard was found to have excellent drape, making it suitable for express feminine silhouette with its most flexible and smooth touch. On the other hand, bird's eye jacquard is adequate for a suit jacket and coat regarding its excellent volume and flexibility. Blister jacquard and tubular jacquard are thick, heavy and stiff knit and both are suitable for simple box-style design. Ladder's back jacquard, however, is more appropriate for expressing the design of feminine charm and voluminous design. Based on the result of this study, it is supposed to provide basic information for development of knit industry regarding jacquard knit by designing the creative knit wear with high production efficiency.

The Mechanism Study of Gait on a Load and Gender Difference

  • Gait kinematics and kinetics have a similar tendency between men and women, yet it remains unclear how walking while carrying a load affects the gait mechanism. Twenty adults walked with preferred velocity on level ground of 20 m relative to change of a load carriage (no load, 15%, 30% of the body weights) aimed to observe gait mechanism. We measured gait posture using the three-dimensional image analysis and ground reaction force system during stance phase on left foot. In main effect of gender difference, men showed increased displacement of center of gravity (COG) compared to women, and it showed more extended joint angle of hip and knee in sagittal plane. In main effect of a load difference, knee joint showed more flexed postuel relative to increase of load carriage. In main effect of load difference on the kinetic variables, medial-lateral force, anterior-posterior force (1st breaking, 2nd propulsive), vertical force, center of pressure (COP) area, leg stiffness, and whole body stiffness showed more increased values relative to increase of load carriage. Also, men showed more increased COP area compared to women. Interaction showed in the 1st anterior-posterior force, and as a result of one-way variance analysis, it was found that a load main effect had a greater influence on the increase in the magnitude of the braking force than the gender. The data in this study explains that women require little kinematic alteration compared to men, while men in more stiff posture accommodate an added load compared to women during gait. Additionally, it suggests that dynamic stability is maintained by adopting different gait strategies relative to gender and load difference.

3D numerical analysis of piled raft foundation for Ho Chi Minh City subsoil conditions

  • Piled raft foundations are widely used and effective in supporting high-rise buildings around the world. In this study, a piled raft system was numerically simulated using PLAXIS 3D. The settlement comparison results between the actual building measurements and the three-dimensional (3D) numerical analysis, were in good agreement, indicating the usefulness of this approach for the evaluation of the feasibility of using a piled raft foundation in Ho Chi Minh City subsoil. The effects were investigated of the number of piles based on pile spacing, pile length, raft embedment on the settlement, load sharing, bending moments, and the shear force of the piled raft foundation in Ho Chi Minh City subsoil. The results indicated that with an increased number of piles, increased pile length, and embedding raft depth, the total and differential settlement decreased. The optimal design consisted of pile numbers of 60-70, corresponding to pile spacings is 5.5-6 times the pile diameter (Dp), in conjunction with a pile length-to-pile diameter ratio of 30. Furthermore, load sharing by the raft, by locating it in the second layer of stiff clay, could achieve 66% of the building load. The proposed model of piled raft foundations could reduce the total foundation cost by 49.61% compared to the conventional design. This research can assist practicing engineers in selecting pile and raft parameters in the design of piled raft foundations to produce an economical design for high-rise buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, and around the world.

손가락 부상 환자의 재활을 위한 장갑형 웨어러블 시스템 (A Wearable Glove System for Rehabilitation of Finger Injured Patients)

  • 손가락 골절 치료 후에는 장시간 사용하지 않아 손가락 힘줄 운동 능력이 떨어져 관절이 뻣뻣해지고, 경직된다. 이것은 근력손실 및 유연성 저하를 비롯한 손 사용의 어려움으로 이어질 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 손가락의 유연성 회복과 근력 강화를 위한 반복적인 재활 훈련을 해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 집에서도 사용할 수 있는 손가락 힘 훈련용 웨어러블 장갑 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 FSR센서를 사용하여 힘을 측정하며, 신호 획득을 위한 맞춤형 PCB를 적용했고 고무 밴드를 사용하여 크기를 조정할 수 있다. 균형잡힌 손가락 근력 훈련 평가를 위해 네 가지 경우의 동작에서 쥐는 힘 측정 결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 다섯 손가락 힘의 중심을 나타내는 벡터를 제안하며, 힘의 균형 수준을 수치적으로 나타낼 수 있음을 보였다.

헬리콥터 착륙장치를 위한 복합재 토크링크의 설계에 대한 연구 (Study on design of the composite torque link for a landing gear system of a helicopter)

  • 본 논문에서는 헬리콥터 착륙장치를 위한 복합재료 토크링크를 개발하기 위한 설계 기법을 제시하였다. 복합재 토크링크는 헬리콥터 착륙장치의 충격흡수부의 정렬을 위해 장착되는 장치로서 가벼우면서도 강성이 커서 외부하중에 대해 최소의 변형량을 가져야 한다. 또 가격적인 측면을 고려한 복합재 구조물 제조 공정(RTM: 수지충전공정)이 반영되어 대량생산이 가능한 구조 및 형태를 가져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 복합재 구조물 제조 공정과 동일한 공정으로 시편을 제작하여 설계에 필요한 기계적 특성을 얻었으며, 유한요소해석을 통하여 복합재 토크링크에 대한 최적 형상설계를 수행하였다. Lug 형태를 가지는 두꺼운 복합재료 구조물인 복합재료 토크링크의 설계를 위해서는 ABAQUS의 3D Layered Solid 요소로 구성된 유한요소모델을 활용하여 복합재료의 두께방향을 포함한 강도해석을 수행하였으며, Rigid-Deform 구속조건의 접촉문제를 고려한 비선형 정적 해석을 반복적으로 수행하여 주어진 정강도 요구조건을 만족시키는 복합재 토크링크를 설계하였다.

발등굽힘 관절가동범위 제한이 착지 시 움직임 전략에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Limited Dorsiflexion Range of Motion on Movement Strategies during Landing)

  • Objective: This study aimed 1) to compare the Landing Error Scoring System (LESS) score and movement patterns during landing of the lesser dorsiflexion range of motion (LDFROM) group to that with the greater dorsiflexion range of motion group, and 2) to identify the correlation between the weight-bearing dorsiflexion range of motion (WBDF ROM), LESS score, and movement patterns during landing. Method: Fifty health adults participated in this study. WBDF ROM was measured using the weight bearing lunge test while movement patterns during landing was assessed using the LESS. The joint angles of the ankle, knee and hip joints during landing were analyzed using the 2D video analysis. After mean value of WBDF ROM was calculated, participants were divided into two groups (GDFROM and LDFROM) based on the mean value. The Mann-Whiteny 𝒰 test was used to identify differences in movement strategies during landing between two groups and the Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to determine relationships between WBDF ROM and movement strategies. Results: The LDFROM group showed the poorer LESS score and stiffer landing kinematics during landing compared to the GDFROM group (p<0.05). In addition, DFROM was significantly related to the LESS score and landing kinematics (p<0.05) except for total hip excursion (p=0.228). Conclusion: Our main findings showed that the LDFROM group had poorer landing quality and stiffer landing movements compared to the GDFROM group. In addition, increase of WBDF ROM significantly improved landing quality and soft-landing movements. To reduce shock during landing such as ground reaction forces, individuals need to better utilize WBDF ROM and lower extremity movements based on our findings. Therefore, intervention programs for safer landings should include exercises that increase WBDF ROM and utilize eccentric contraction.

고층건물의 자연 진동실험 및 시스템판별 (Ambient Vibration Testing and System Identification for Tall Buildings)

  • 구조물의 특성치를 결정하기 위하여 18층 규모의 사무용 건물 3동에 대하여 자연진동 조건하에서 동적계측실험을 수행하였다. 대상건물은 기본적으로 보-기둥 골조시스템에 횡하중을 보다 효율적으로 지지하기 위하여 추가적으로 코아가 배치된 혼합 구조형식을 나타낸다. 매층 마다 측정한 일련의 진동기록으로부터 고유진동수, 모드형태 및 감쇠율 등과 같은 모달계수를 추출하기 위하여 최신 주파수- 및 시간영역-기반 응답의존 시스템판별법인 FDD, pLSCF 및 SSI를 적용하였다. 3방법에 의하여 추출한 결과는 대체로 일치하였으나, 초기 FE 해석결과와 비교하여 저차 3개 고유진동수는 대략 1.2~1.7배나 되는 단단한 거동을 나타냈다. 진동응답으로부터 추출된 값, 기준에서 제시하는 약산식 및 FE해석에 의하여 산정된 고유주기를 비교하여 보면, FE결과가 가장 유연한 거동을 예측하였으며, 높이를 변수로 하는 약산식이 추출된 값에 가장 근접한 결과를 나타냈다. 이러한 차이는 현재의 실험 추출치에는 콘크리트 균열 등과 같은 강성저감 요인을 포함하고 있지 않으며, 또한 FE 해석치는 비구조체 및 사용된 재료의 실제성능 등과 관련된 강성증가 요소를 포함하고 있지 않기 때문이다.

DEM 해상도가 지반분류에 미치는 영향 (Effects of DEM Resolutions in Site Classification)

  • 지진, 산사태, 액상화 등으로 인한 지질재해 규모는 지역적 지반상태에 따라 크게 변화하므로, 지질재해예측시스템(Geologic Loss Estimation System)을 구축 운용하기 위해서는 연구대상 전 지역에 대한 지반분류 정보가 필요하다. 이는 GIS에서 지질도 또는 지형도 등을 이용한 간접적인 방법으로 수행될 수 있다. DEM에서 추출한 경사도는 지반분류 고려사항의 하나로 사용될 수 있고, 이때 DEM의 해상력에 따라 그 결과가 다르게 산출될 수도 있다. 본 연구에서 우리나라 동남부 지역을 고해상도와 저해상도의 DEM으로부터 추출된 경사도를 토대로 지반분류한 결과, 두 해상도 간에 지반분류 C(매우 조밀한 토사 또는 연암) 지반과 E(연약한 토사) 지반의 면적에서 현저한 차이가 확인되었다. 지반분류 B(보통암)와 E 지역의 면적은 고해상도의 DEM을 바탕으로 구축한 지반분류도에서 크게 산출되었고, 지반분류 C와 D(단단한 토사) 지역의 면적은 저해상도의 DEM을 바탕으로 구축한 지반분류도에서 크게 산출되었다. GIS에서 다시 제작한 여러 개의 상이한 해상도의 DEM을 이용해 수행한 지반분류 결과에서도 같은 현상을 확인하였다. 우리나라에서 경사도를 지반분류 시 고려사항의 하나로 사용할 경우, 지형의 변화가 심하고 인구나 산업시설이 밀집된 재해 고위험군 지역은 고해상도의 지도를 이용하여 결과의 신뢰성을 확보해야 한다.
