A Study on the vibration analysis of 2-phase HB type Linear Stepping Motor using ACSL (ACSL에 의한 2상 HB형 선형 STEPPING 전동기의 진동해석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the vibration characteristics of a 2-phase Hybrid type Linear Stepping Motor(HLSM) are analyzed using the ACSL. A magnetic equivalent circuit is based on the structure of the HLSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the HLSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. A normal force is calculated using FEM(Flux2D). And the vibration characteristics of the HLSM are simulated by the ACSL with the voltage equations, the thrust equation, the normal force equation and the kinetic equation.

  • In this paper, We have simulated and measured the characteristics of the static thrust of 2-phase PM type Linear Stepping Motor(LSM). And, the 2-phase PM type Linear Stepping Motor is simulated using 2-Dimensional finite element method. For calculating force, Maxwell stress tensor method is applied.

  • The claw-pole PM(Permanent Magnet) stepping motor has the advantage of the positioning machine because of a relatively little step angle, facility of control, and detent torque characteristics. Although the research about this motor has been progressed, it was difficult to analyze because of three-dimensional magnetic circuit. This paper proposed a design method of the claw-pole PM stepping motor using 3D-FEA. We established design variables that have an important effect upon the characteristics of the motor, and then peformed analysis of the static and the dynamic characteristics. We also manufactured the test products and practiced the performance tests for verification of the analysis results.

Kinetic Measurement of the Step Size of DNA Unwinding by Bacteriophage T7 DNA Helicase gp4 (T7 박테리오파지 gp4 DNA helicase에 의한 DNA unwinding에서 step size의 반응속도론적 측정)

  • T7 bacteriophage gp4 is the replicative DNA helicase that unwinds double-stranded DNA by utilizing dTTP hydrolysis energy. The quaternary structure of the active form of T7 helicase is a hexameric ring with a central channel. Single-stranded DNA passes through the central channel of the hexameric ring as the helicase translocates $5'\rightarrow3'$ along the single-stranded DNA. The DNA unwinding was measured by rapid kinetic methods and showed a lag before the single-stranded DNA started to accumulate exponentially. This behavior was analyzed by a kinetic stepping model for the unwinding process. The observed lag phase increased as predicted by the model with increasing double-stranded DNA length. Trap DNA added in the reaction had no effect on the amplitudes of double-stranded DNA unwound, indicating that the $\tau7$ helicase is a highly processive helicase. Global fitting of the kinetic data to the stepping model provided a kinetic step size of 10-11 bp/step with a rate of $3.7 s^{-1}$ per step. Both the mechanism of DNA unwinding and dTTP hydrolysis and the coupling between the two are unaffected by temperature from $4∼37^{\circ}C$. Thus, the kinetic stepping for dsDNA unwinding is an inherent property of tile replicative DNA helicase.

Effect of Frutus gardeniae herbal acupuncture on the rat model of ankle sprain pain (치자(梔子) 약침(藥鍼)이 백서(白鼠) 모델 족과 염좌(捻挫) 통증(痛症)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Objective : Frutus gardeniae, seed of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis is one of the crude drugs used for the treatment of inflammatory condition in oriental medicine. Methodes : The present study aimed to examine the analgesic effect and anti-inflammatory effect of Frutus gardeniae extract (FGE) on a rat model of ankle sprain pain, and the relations between FGE-induced effect and endogenous nitric oxide (NO) and inducible NO synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and c-Fos protein expression in the spinal cord. As a chronic pain model, ankle sprain pain model was used to test the effect of FCE injection applied to acupuncture point. After the induction of ankle sprain, rats subsequently showed a reduced stepping force of the affected limb for at least the next 4 days. The reduced stepping force of the limb was presumably due to a painful knee. FGE dissolved in normal saline was injected several acupoints. Results : After the treatment, behavioral tests measuring stepping force were periodically conducted during the next 8 hours. FGE produced significant improvement of stepping force of the hindlimb affected by the ankle sprain lasting at least 4 hours. FGE produced the improvement of stepping force of the affected hindlimb in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, FGE injection showed inhibitory effect on the paw edema induced by ankle sprain. Both NO production and iNOS, COX-2 protein expression increased by ankle sprain were suppressed by FGE. FGE on combination with electroacupuncture (EA) produced more powerful and longer lasting improvement of stepping force of the hindlimb affected by the ankle sprain than either FGE or EA did. The present study suggest that FGE produces a potent analgesic effect on the ankle sprain pain model of the rat and that FGE-induced analgesia modulate endogenous NO through the suppression of iNOS/COX-2 protein expression.

  • Nano drive control of five phase stepping motors is developed based on computational intelligence technology and it enables to drive into 5 million equiangular parts per revolution with keeping normal speed and torques. The experimental results of realizing high resolution/accuracy with low vibration and decreasing both heat loss and electric power consumption are mentioned.

Analysis of Balance of Quadrupedal Robotic Walk using Measure of Balance Margin

  • In this study, we analyze the balance of quadruped walking robots. For this purpose, a simplified polygonal model of a quadruped walking configuration is considered. A boundary-range-based balance margin is used for determining the system stability of the polygonal walking configuration considered herein. The balance margin enables the estimation of the walking configuration's balance for effective walking. The usefulness of the balance margin is demonstrated through exemplary simulations. Furthermore, balance compensation by means of foot stepping is addressed.

  • In this paper, we have developed the sandwich type digital actuator in order to improve the thrust of automatic moving device. Also it was analyzed by Finite Element Analysis(FEA) and Virtual Work Method. As a result of this paper, it was confirmed that the thrust characteristics of sandwich type digital actuator was improved considerably.
