Objectives : Acupuncture therapy is known as a effective method to CVA with paralysis. To make clear about effectiveness of acupuncture affecting to active and static postural adaptation for the patient with hemiparesis, we studied whether acupuncture changed ability of maintenance with one leg standing posture, and character of gait such as gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length and base of support. Methods : This clinical study has been carried out with 10 cases of CVA patient with hemiparesis. We treated patients with acupuncture for 4 weeks, estimated each paralytic leg and well leg before 1st treatment and after last treatment, and compared the change of one leg with the other. To estimate the change of ability of static postural adaptation, we checked the time of duration with one leg standing posture. And about active postural adaptation, we used temporal distance gait analysis with Ink-Foot-Print method. Results and Conclusions : In static postural adaptation, paralytic leg significantly improved the duration with one leg posture. And In active postural adaptation with gait analysis, paralytic leg showed significant improvement in stride length and step length. Base of support and cadence were also significantly improved.
In the past, what we call "fashion" was monopolized by only a small highly privileged group of individuals. To-day, we know that fashion field has become progressive democratization of taste not only in clothing, but in all expressions of contemporary living, from automobiles to refrigerators. So, we can find out how wonderful it is that our recent fashionable history was changed so fast. Whatever highly characteristic costume may be in the former, the way people dress was the reflection of their contemporary lives as well as their political status, economics, cultures, arts religions, so that a history of fashion is a history of life. Now, that categorical silhouettes make an exclusion across centuries of past history into the world of aesthetics, particularizes following ; symbolic voluminous toga of Roman authority, the religious but gorgeous Byzantine tunic, extravagant vertical bell-skirt of the Renaissance, the romantic Rococo style, the elegant crinoline and the bustle of the Cul de Paris of the nineteenth. It came true that women was intoxicated ostentations and elegances, since they had on ornamently costume which bear some relationship to the more formal Co-stesy, till the beginning of the twentieth. As Jonney Ironside said, "Nowadays, those exessive ornamentations and cumbersome design hardly belong to a civilization run by machines and in a hurry". These were once a sign of wealth and class ; at the beginning of the twentieth it was disappearing step by step. What is the reason\ulcorner At the end of the nineteenth, the emancipation of women, the movement of the Art Nouveau and the opening of the ready-made, have influenced on modern style, directly or indirectly. Finally, democratically popular costume was caused by fighting against the masculine prejudice excluded them from activities.hem from activities.
To find the mechanism underlying the ADP-induced increase in the outward current in ovulated mouse oocytes, we examined changes in voltage-dependent currents using the whole cell voltage clamp technique and the internal perfusion technique. Eggs were collected from the oviduct of superovulated mice with PMSG and hCG. Membrane potential was held at -60 mV (or -80 mV in the case of recording $Ca^{2+}$ currents) and step depolarizations or hyperpolarizations were applied for 300 ms. By step depolarizations, outward currents comprising steady-state and time-dependent components were elicited. They were generated in response to the positive potential more than 20 mV with severe outward rectification and were blocked by external TEA, a specific $K^{+}$ channel blocker, suggesting that they be carried via $K^{+}$ channels. Internally-perused 5 mM ADP gradually increased outward $K^{+}$ currents (IK) 1 min after perfusion of ADP and reached slowly to maximum (150~170%) 5 min later over the positive potential range, implying that ADP might not be acted directly to the $K^{+}$ channels. IK were decreased by 5 mM ATP without affecting the steady-state component of outward current. In contrast to the effect of ADP and ATP on IK, both effect of ATP and ADP on inward $Ca^{2+}$ currents (ICa) could not be detected due to the continuous decrease in current amplitudes with time-lapse ("run-down" phenomena). To check if there is a G protein-involved regulation in the ionic current of mouse oocytes, 1 mM GTP was applied to the cytoplasmic side, and the outward current and inward currents were recorded. ICa was promptly increased in the presence of GTP whereas IK was not changed. from these results, it is concluded that the ATP-dependent regulation is likely linked in the ADP-induced increase in the outward $K^{+}$ current, and G protein-involved cellular signalling might affect ion channels carrying $Ca^{2+}$ and $K^{+}$ in mouse oocytes.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of anterior, posterior, and lateral pelvic tilt exercise upon the gait characteristics of patients with hemiplegia including their gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length of the non affected side, step length of the affected side, foot angle of the non affected side, foot angle of the affected side, base of support, and so on. The subject of this study was 24 men and women patients with hemiplegia. The patients, the subject of this study, were classified into 12 patients of treatment group applying pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback and 12 patients of control group applying general pelvic tilt exercise, and then analyzed their gait before and after exercise. Temporal distance gait analysis (Boening, 1977) was used to analyze their gait, and ink foot-print was applied as on of measurement methods. To find out meaningful difference between control group and treatment group, this study carried out independent sample t-test for each item by utilizing SPSS/Win 10.0, compared changes in control group's and treatment group's gait characteristics before and after exercise as percentage, and applied paired t-test to conduct before-after test in same group. Statistical significance level was ${\alpha}$ < 0.05. The results of this study were as follows. As a result of independent sample t-test for control group's and treatment group's gait characteristics after exercise, it was not statistically significant so there was no meaningful difference between two groups. However, it was statistically significant in the change rate(%) of gait characteristics, and treatment group's patients with hemiplegia had been highly changed in gait characteristics in comparison with control group. From the above-mentioned results, could find that pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback for patients with hemiplegia was effective to improve their gait ability and it could increase the ability in comparison with general pelvic tilt exercise. In the future, studies on the effect of pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback shall be continued based on more quantitative methods.
In this paper, we present a received signal strength (RSS) prediction model to timely Initiate link layer triggers for fast handoff in a wireless LAN system. Noting that the distance between a mobile terminal and an access point is not changed abruptly in a short time interval, an adaptive RSS predictor based on a stationary time series model is proposed. RSS data obtained from ns-2 simulations are used to identity the time series model and verify the predictability of the RSS data. The results suggest that an autoregressive process of order 1 (AR(1)) can be used to represent the measured RSSs in a short time interval and predict at least 1-step ahead RSS with a high confidence level.

In this paper, a Bayesian classifier based on PCA (principle component analysis) is proposed to classify underwater transient signals using $16^{th}$ order LPC (linear predictive coding) coefficients as feature vector. The proposed classifier is composed of two steps. The mechanical signals were separated from biological signals in the first step, and then each type of the mechanical signal was recognized in the second step. Three biological transient signals and two mechanical signals were used to conduct experiments. The classification ratios for the feature vectors of biological signals and mechanical signals were 94.75% and 97.23%, respectively, when all 16 order LPC vector were used. In order to determine the effect of underwater noise on the classification performance, underwater ambient noise was added to the test signals and the classification ratio according to SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) was compared by changing dimension of feature vector using PCA. The classification ratios of the biological and mechanical signals under ocean ambient noise at 10dB SNR, were 0.51% and 100% respectively. However, the ratios were changed to 53.07% and 83.14% when the dimension of feature vector was converted to three by applying PCA. For correct, classification, it is required SNR over 10 dB for three dimension feature vector and over 30dB SNR for seven dimension feature vector under ocean ambient noise environment.
We investigate changing characteristics and concentration distribution of ambient air quality using data from which obtained local ambient air monitoring network and local meterological measuring sites in Gwangju area from January to December in 2003. Sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$) showed that increase from 8 AM and decrease in 6 PM but, it was not drastically changed concentration. it also 0.010 ppm in 1995 from at this time it's decrease step by step and than some constant in year 2001 to 2003. Nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$) concentration was showed highest peak in 10 AM and increase again at 6 PM. And also it showed peak concentration (0.026 ppm) in 2001 and decreased from after that times. Ozone was showed peak concentration in 1 PM and Nitrogen dioxide was ditto in 10 AM from this data, we can conclude that this two article ws showed chemical reaction by 3 to 5 hours. There was no case of Ozone alarm in Gwangju area since 1995, but it showed highest ozone concentration (over 0.070 ppm) in May and June of the year and 2 to 4 PM of the day and sometimes it showed increase at the dawn. Ozone product optimum condition was that air temperature is over $25^{\circ}C$, no rain and increase solar radiation (over $20MJ/m^2$) and no wind or below 2.0 m/s wind speed.
In the maritime container terminal. LMCTS (Linear Motor-based Container Transfer System) is horizontal transfer system for the yard automation, which In., been proposed to take the place of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle). The system is based on PMLSM (Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor) that is consists of stator modules on the rail and shuttle car (mover). Because of large variant of mover's weight by loading and unloading containers, the difference of each characteristic of stator modules, and a stator module's trouble etc. LMCTS is considered as that the system is changed its model suddenly and variously. In this paper, we will introduce the softcomputing method of a multi-step prediction control for LMCTS using DR- FNN (Dynamically-constructed Recurrent Fuzzy Neural Network). The proposed control system is used two networks for multi step prediction Consequently, the system has an ability to adapt for external disturbance, detent force, force ripple, and sudden changes by loading and unloading the container.

A cell animation is represented by one background cell, and there is much difference of images when its shot is changed. Also, it does not have a lot of colors since people themselves draw it. In order to effectively detect shot transitions of cell animations while fully considering their intrinsic characteristics, in this paper, we propose a animation shot boundary detection algorithm that utilizes color and block-based histograms step by step. The suggested algorithm first converts RGB color space into HSI color one, and coarsely decides if adjacent frames contains a shot transition by performing color difference operation between two images. If they are considered to have a shot transition candidate, we calculate color histograms for 9 sub-regions of the adjacent images and apply weights to them. Finally, we determine whether there is a real shot transition by analyzing the weighted sum of histogram values. In experiments, we show that our method is superior to others.
Objectives : The aim of this clinical experiment was to investigate the effect of KamiWooseul-tang on low back pain and kidney function. Methods: We investigated 64 low back pain patients. We treated the patients with acupuncture, bed rest, herbal medicine, physical therapy. The patients were divided into two groups as follows, 32 patients (with normal renal function) were treated with only KamiWooseul-tang. Another 32 patients were treated with a commonly used herbal medicine. Results : The obtained results are summarized as follows. The patients were 43.8% male and 56.2% female. Their age were 20s 15.6%, 30s 25%, 40s 17.2%, 50s 9.3%, 60s 18.8% 70s 12.5% and 80s1.6%. Duration is most common in the most acute stage (< 1 week), next was chronic stage ( >6 months ), acute stage (1 week ~ 1 month) and subacute stage(l months ~ 6 months) in turn. Cure rate increased step by step after herb-medicine administration. Duration of patients had no relation with cure rate(P>0.05). The KamiWooseul-tang was more effective than the commonly used herbal medicine after 3 weeks therapy (P<0.05). Serum BUN and Creatinine level in KamiWooseul-tang group changed from $14.69{\pm}4.0,{\;}0.76{\pm}0.19(mg/dl)$ before adminstration to $13.64{\pm}3.92{\;}0.77{\pm}0.19,{\;}13.48{\pm}3.00{\;}0.82{\pm}0.21,{\;}13.26{\pm}3.73{\;}0.87{\pm}0.21(mg/dl)$ at 7th, 14th, and 21st days of administration respectively. Urinalysis showed no specific change in the KamiWooseul-tang group. During medication serum-electrolyte was within normal range. Conclusion : Therefore KamiWooseul-tang was more effective than the commonly used herbal medicine and there was no clinically remarkable difference in the serum BUN, Creatinine level, urinalysis and serum electrolyte between pre-medication and post-medication in the KamiWooseul-tang group.
