Development of Image-map Generation and Visualization System Based on UAV for Real-time Disaster Monitoring (실시간 재난 모니터링을 위한 무인항공기 기반 지도생성 및 가시화 시스템 구축)

  • The frequency and risk of disasters are increasing due to environmental and social factors. In order to respond effectively to disasters that occur unexpectedly, it is very important to quickly obtain up-to-date information about target area. It is possible to intuitively judge the situation about the area through the image-map generated at high speed, so that it can cope with disaster quickly and effectively. In this study, we propose an image-map generation and visualization system from UAV images for real-time disaster monitoring. The proposed system consists of aerial segment and ground segment. In the aerial segment, the UAV system acquires the sensory data from digital camera and GPS/IMU sensor. Communication module transmits it to the ground server in real time. In the ground segment, the transmitted sensor data are processed to generate image-maps and the image-maps are visualized on the geo-portal. We conducted experiment to check the accuracy of the image-map using the system. Check points were obtained through ground survey in the data acquisition area. When calculating the difference between adjacent image maps, the relative accuracy was 1.58 m. We confirmed the absolute accuracy of the image map for the position measured from the individual image map. It is confirmed that the map is matched to the existing map with an absolute accuracy of 0.75 m. We confirmed the processing time of each step until the visualization of the image-map. When the image-map was generated with GSD 10 cm, it took 1.67 seconds to visualize. It is expected that the proposed system can be applied to real - time monitoring for disaster response.

The Kinematic Analysis of Handspring Salto Forward Piked (핸드스프링 몸접어 앞공중돌기동작의 운동학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the phase-by-phase elapsed time, the COG, the body joint angle changes and the angular velocities of each phase of Handspring Salto Forward Piked performed by 4 college gymnasts through 3D movement analysis program. 1. The average elapsed time for each phase was .13sec for Phase 1, .18sec for Phase 2, .4sec for Phase 3, and .3sec for Phase 5. The elapsed time for Phase 1 to Phase 3 handspring was .35sec on average and the elapsed time for Phase 4 to Phase 5 handspring salto forward piked was .7sec on average. And so it showed that the whole elapsed time was 1.44sec. 2. The average horizontal changes of COG were 93.2 cm at E1, 138. 5 cm at E2, 215.7 cm at E3, 369.2 cm at E4, 450.7 cm at E5, and 553.1 cm at E6. The average vertical changes of COG were 83.1 cm at E1, 71.3 cm at E2, 78.9 cm at E3, 93.7 cm at E4, 150.8 cm at E5, and 97.2 cm at E6. 3. The average shoulder joint angles at each phase were 131.6 deg at E1, 153.5 deg at E2, 135.4 deg at E3, 113.4 deg at E4, 39.6 deg at E5, and 67.5 deg at E6. And the average hip joint angles at each phase were 82.2 deg at E1, 60 deg at E2, 101.9 deg at E3, 161.2 deg at E4, 97.7 deg at E5, and 167 deg at E6. 4. The average shoulder joint angular velocities at each phase were 130.9deg/s E1, 73.1 deg/s at E2, -133.9 deg/s at E3, -194.4 deg/s at E4, 29.4 deg/s at E5, and -50.1 deg/s at E6. And the average hip joint angular velocities at each phase were -154.7 deg/s E1, -96.5 deg/s at E2, 495.9 deg/s at E3, 281.5 deg/s at E4, 90.3 deg/s at E5, and 181.7 deg/s at E6. The results shows that, as for the performance of handspring salto forward piked, it is important to move in short time and horizontally from the hop step to the point to place the hands on the floor and jump, and to stretch the hip joints as much as possible after the displacement of the hands and to keep the hip joints stretched and high in the vertical position at the takeoff. And it is also important to bend the shoulder joints and the hip joints fast and spin as much as possible after the takeoff, and to decrease the speed of spinning by bending he shoulder joints and the hip joints quickly after the highest point of COG and make a stable landing.

제안기반 자동 거래협상 시장에서의 사용자 에이전트를 위한 최적 거래안 탐색 전략의 개발

  • 컴퓨터를 통해 편리한 생활을 추구해온 인간들은 전자상거래 분야에서도 이러한 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 자동협상이라는 기능을 요구하게 되었다. 지능형 에이전트를 이용한 자동협상은 인간의 거래협상 업무의 부담을 많은 부분을 덜어주고 있어 자동협상 에이전트에 관한 연구들이 활성화되고 있다 소비자간 전자상거래에서는 다수의 자동협상 에이전트 연구들이 경매시장에서의 자동협상에 초점을 맞추고 있는데 반해, 가격 이외의 여러 거래속성을 갖는 상품에 대한 제안기반 협상시장에서의 자동협상 에이전트에 관한 연구들이 최근에 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소비자간 전자상거래에서 거래속성의 변화에 따라 개인의 효용가치의 차이를 이용한 다속성 상품의 제안기반 협상시장이 가져야할 특성에 대해 연구하고, 이를 기반으로 자동 거래협상을 수행에 필요한 거래속성 변화에 따른 소비자 개인의 선호체계를 표현하기 위한 방법을 개발하였다. 그리고 이러한 자동 거래협상을 공정하게 수행하기 위해 협상시장이 가져야할 특징과 프로토콜을 제안하고 시장운영 에이전트 시스템의 구조를 설계하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 분산형 시장구조를 갖는 제안기반의 협상시장에 참여하는 사용자 에이전트 시스템이 최적의 거래상대와 최적의 거래안을 찾기 위한 탐색방법을 구체적으로 개발하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 소비자간 전자상거래에서 구매자 뿐만 아니라 판매자도 협상결과에 따른 거래로 얻어지는 자신의 효용을 극대화할 수 있는 공정한 협상시장을 운영할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 사용자들도 손쉽게 자신의 협상 선호체계를 쉽게 표현하고, 표현된 선호체계를 반영한 자동 거래협상을 수행할 수 있을 것 이다. 기존의 UN/EDIFACT표준을 사용하고 있는 EDI환경과 기존 VAN 방식의 EDI 중계 시스템과 연동되며, 향후 관세청의 XML/EDI 표준 시행을 미리 대비하는 선도연구로서 자리매김이 된다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 XML/EDI 통관시스템은 향후, 서비스의 최대 걸림돌이 되어왔던 값비싼 EDI 사용료의 부담에서 벗어날 수 있게 할 것이며, 저렴한 EDI구축/운영 비용으로 전자문서교환의 활성화와 XML이 인터넷 기반의 문서유통 표준으로 자리매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve.   • 오늘날 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 관련 기술 연구는 사용자가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 네트워크에 접근해 다양한 컴퓨터 관련 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있는 방법에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이 처럼 시간과 공간의 한계를 뛰어 넘은 네트워크로의 자유로운 접근은 일상 생활의 패러다임을 바꾸어 놓게 될 것이다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 통해 가장 큰 변화가 일어나는 분야는 일반 가정환경에서 일어나는 인텔리전트 홈 네트워크 (Intelligent Home Network) 라고 할 수 있다. 집에 들어오면, 자동으로 문을 열어주고, 불을 켜주며, 놓쳤던 TV 프로그램을 자동으로 녹화해 놓았다가 원하는 시간에 보여주고, 적당한 시간에 목욕물을 미리 받아준다. 또한 집밖으로 나가기 전, 일기예보에 따라 우산을 챙겨주고, 일정을 확인시켜주며 입고 나갈 옷을 골라줄 수도 있다. 이 모든 일들이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술이 가져올 인텔리전트 홈 네트워크의 모습이다. 그러나, 모든 사용자에게 효과적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 홈 네트워크 상의 자원 관리에서 일어날 수 있는 에이전트들간의 자원 접근 권한 충돌을 효율적으로 방지할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 자원관리 특성은 점유의 연속성, 자원 사이의 연관성, 그리고 자원과 사용자 사 사이의 연계성의 3 가지 특성을 지니고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 일어날 수 있는 자원 충돌 상황을 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 자원 협상 방법을 제안한다. 본 방법은 자원 관리 특성을 바탕으로 시간논리에 기반을 둔 자원 선점과 분배 규칙으로 구성된다.트 시스템은 b-Cart를 기반으로 할 것으로 예측할 수 있다.타났다. 또한, 스네이크의 초기 제어점을 얼굴은 44개, 눈은 16개, 입은 24개로 지정하여 MER추출에 성공한 영상에 대해 스네이크 알고리즘을 수행한 결과, 추출된 영역의 오차율은 각각 2.2%, 2.6%, 2.5%로 나타났다.해서 Template-based reasoning 예를 보인다 본 방법론은 검색노력을 줄이고, 검색에 있어 Feasibility와 Admissibility를 보장한다.매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve.   • The performance of the turbofan engine, a medium scale civil aircraft which has been developing in Rep. of Korea, was analyzed and the control scheme for optimization the performance was studied. The dynamic and real-time linear simulation was performed in the previous study The result was that the fuel scedule of the step increase overshoot the limit temperature(3105 $^{\cire}R$) of the high pressure turbine and got small surge margine of the high pressure compressor. Therefore a control scheme such as the LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) was applied to optimizing the performance in this studies. The linear model was expected for designing controller and the real time linear model was developed to be closed to nonlinear simulation results. The system matrices were derived from sampling operating points in the scheduled range and then the least square method was applied to the interpolation between these sampling points, where each element of matrices was a function of the rotor speed. The control variables were the fuel flow and the low pressure compressor bleed air. The controlled linear model eliminated the inlet temperature overshoot of the high pressure turbine and obtained maximum surge margins within 0.55. The SFC was stabilized in the range of 0.355 to 0.43.

  • This work proposes a 12b 130MS/s 108mW $1.8mm^2$ 0.18um CMOS ADC for high-quality video systems such as TFT-LCD displays and digital TVs requiring simultaneously high resolution, low power, and small size at high speed. The proposed ADC optimizes power consumption and chip area at the target resolution and sampling rate based on a three-step pipeline architecture. The input SHA with gate-bootstrapped sampling switches and a properly controlled trans-conductance ratio of two amplifier stages achieves a high gain and phase margin for 12b input accuracy at the Nyquist frequency. A signal-insensitive 3D-fully symmetric layout reduces a capacitor and device mismatch of two MDACs. The proposed supply- and temperature- insensitive current and voltage references are implemented on chip with a small number of transistors. The prototype ADC in a 0.18um 1P6M CMOS technology demonstrates a measured DNL and INL within 0.69LSB and 2.12LSB, respectively. The ADC shows a maximum SNDR of 53dB and 51dB and a maximum SFDR of 68dB and 66dB at 120MS/s and 130MS/s, respectively. The ADC with an active die area of $1.8mm^2$ consumes 108mW at 130MS/s and 1.8V.

Effects of various combinations of cryoprotectants and cooling speed on the survival and further development of mouse oocytes after vitrification

  • Objective: The objectives of this study were to analyze efficacy of immature and mature mouse oocytes after vitrification and warming by applying various combinations of cryoprotectants (CPAs) and/or super-rapid cooling using slush nitrogen ($SN_2$). Methods: Four-week old ICR female mice were superovulated for GV- and MII-stage oocytes. Experimental groups were divided into two groups. Ethylene glycol (EG) only group: pre-equilibrated with 1.5 M EG for 2.5 minutes and then equilibrated with 5.5 M EG and 1.0 M sucrose for 20 seconds. EG+dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) group: pre-equilibrated with 1.3 M EG+1.1 M DMSO for 2.5 minutes and equilibrated with 2.7 M EG+2.1 M DMSO+0.5 M sucrose for 20 seconds. The oocytes were loaded onto grids and plunged into $SN_2$or liquid nitrogen ($LN_2$). Stored oocytes were warmed by a five-step method, and then their survival, maturation, cleavage, and developmental rates were observed. Results: The EG only and EG+DMSO groups showed no significant difference in survival of immature oocytes vitrified after warming. However, maturation and cleavage rates after conventional insemination were greater in the EG only group than in the EG+DMSO group. In mature oocytes, survival, cleavage, and blastocyst formation rates after warming showed no significant difference when EG only or EG+DMSO was applied. Furthermore, cleavage and blastocyst formation rates of MII oocytes vitrified using $SN_2$ were increased in both the EG only and EG+DMSO groups. Conclusion: A combination of CPAs in oocyte cryopreservation could be formulated according to the oocyte stage. In addition, $SN_2$ may improve the efficiency of vitrification by reducing cryoinjury.

  • From game consoles to TV and Hollywood films, 3D rendering technology is involved in various fields. Up until the late 90s, the computer image rendering method was rasterization that mainly used Phong Shading, and up until recently it was the go-to method for movies and film animation. In the 21st century, the quality provided by Ray Tracing and the development of Global Illumination was much more realistic and thus became popularized. However, despite its growing use in architectural rendering to the markets, Global Illumination in film animation and movies was limited due to its long render time. So, in this thesis, if one were to take the concept from each rendering method and consider it from a mathematical perspective, one could adapt the Ambient Occlusion's equation to the illumination loop equation used in rasterization. This algorithm modification has the capability to reflect the lighting of a diverse array of colors, like in Global Illumination, with a fast render time, as in rasterization, and the example RenderMan Shader is based upon this new algorithm. In conclusion, with Global Illumination's naturalistic lighting and rasterization's rendering speed, the combination of the best points of each is a new method with a short rendering time while producing good quality. I hope animations and films can benefit from this algorithm by the reduction of budget with an overall better quality output in VFX production.

Identification of Japanese Black Cattle by the Faces for Precision Livestock Farming (흑소의 얼굴을 이용한 개체인식)

  • Recent livestock people concern not only increase of production, but also superior quality of animal-breeding environment. So far, the optimization of the breeding and air environment has been focused on the production increase. In the very near future, the optimization will be emphasized on the environment for the animal welfare and health. Especially, cattle farming demands the precision livestock farming and special attention has to be given to the management of feeding, animal health and fertility. The management of individual animal is the first step for precision livestock farming and animal welfare, and recognizing each individual is important for that. Though electronic identification of a cattle such as RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) has many advantages, RFID implementations practically involve several problems such as the reading speed and distance. In that sense, computer vision might be more effective than RFID for the identification of an individual animal. The researches on the identification of cattle via image processing were mostly performed with the cows having black-white patterns of the Holstein. But, the native Korean and Japanese cattle do not have any definite pattern on the body. The purpose of this research is to identify the Japanese black cattle that does not have a body pattern using computer vision technology and neural network algorithm. Twelve heads of Japanese black cattle have been tested to verify the proposed scheme. The values of input parameters were specified and then computed using the face images of cattle. The images of cattle faces were trained using associate neural network algorithm, and the algorithm was verified by the face images that were transformed using brightness, distortion, and noise factors. As a result, there was difference due to transform ratio of the brightness, distortion, and noise. And, the proposed algorithm could identify 100% in the range from -3 to +3 degrees of the brightness, from -2 to +4 degrees of the distortion, and from 0% to 60% of the noise transformed images. It is concluded that our system can not be applied in real time recognition of the moving cows, but can be used for the cattle being at a standstill.

  • One of most important problems in the Monsoon Asia today is the production of rice paddy to meet the needs of the ever increasing population. Diversemeans are being employed to meet this demand, both by increasing productivity of existing farm land and by bringing further areas into cultivation. The primary step in either field is to ensure that there is sufficient moisture in the soil to suit the paddy, and at the same this means that excess moisture has to be drained off the land, while in others irrigat ion has to be employed to bring sufficient water to an area. In view of the fact that the project comprises a huge amount of earthwork, it can be carried out by extensive use of construction machinery in order to shorten the period. As farm ditch has a comparatively small section with shallow cutting depth, inaddition, there is lack of access road in the field, the excavation equipment with bulldozer or tracter-shovel (backhoe) type are not applicable because there are mostly adapted for the excavation of deep and wide section. Mini-backhoe with its bucket width not larger than 0. 3m, and width of blade not larger than 1. 00m seems to be more adaptable. About 80% of excavation of ditch section will be done by the machinery while the other 20% of excavation together with the finishing of the section are supposed to be done by man-power. The embankment of ditch section can be compacted by the crawler of backhoe when it is moving along the ditch for excavation. However, Lowland paddy field in the Monsoon Asia are made particulary in rain season, therefore, heavy machinery is not easy excavation for ditch. It is very important to know exact ground support power of the working site and select machines with corresponding ground pressure. Ground support power is variable subject to quality and water content of soil and therefore selection of machines should be made duly considering ground condition of the site at the time of construction works. Farm ditches dug and compacted by mannual labar are of poor quality and subject to destruction after one or two years of operation. On the other hand, excavation and compaction by bulldozer is not practical for ditches. Backboe is suitable for slope land, but this is required cycle time of bucket excavation and dumped out. If a small-scale farm ditch trencher adaptable to lowland paddy field is invented, such a machine could greatly accelerate the massive construction work envisaged in many countries and thus significantly speed up the most difficult part of irrigation development and management in Monsoon Asia.
