Methods: Good lung down position, chest percussion, postural drainage was applied to patients who admitted to ICU. Each patients divided into four groups and each group received different treatments. Sputum amount, lung compliance, tidal volume and oxygen saturation were measured before treatment and immediately, and time flowing. Data was analyzed with frequency, percentage, ANOVA and paired t-test using via SPSSWIN 12.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in variables each characteristics of subjects. Chest percussion increased tidal volume, static lung compliance for the mean time. Desaturation related to suction. Conclusion: Chest percussion influences on lung compliance. • This study is based on the evaluation of a single component injection type adhesive repair material and a new 2 component type used in leakage of underground concrete structures. The studies showed that based on different mix ratio of the 2 component type adhesive sealant comprised of an asphalt main and latex mixture agent the viscosity of the material compound differed significantly. Based on a permeability testing, injection and economic efficiency, and performance, the appropriate ratio was determined to be 6:1 and was proceeded to the KS F 4935 evaluation method. The 2 component type adhesive sealant uses a static mixer and a cartridge type container for the injection procedure and was able to satisfy the evaluation criteria outlined in the KS F 4935 standard.

  • This paper has proposed a reinforcing method for damaged RC columns with SRF sheets and Aramid rods. In order to verify the effectiveness and performance, two original columns and two reinforced columns with SRF sheets and Aramid rods were developed and tested under lateral cyclic displacement and a constant axial load. The test showed that the improvement of energy dissipation capacity was increased in terms of strength and ductility. In addition, an analytical modeling of the standard specimens was proposed using Response-2000 and ZeusNL program. The results of analytical and experimental studies for two standard columns were compared in terms of loading-displacement curve and energy dissipation capacity based on the nonlinear static analysis.

  • It seems that most of the studies so far on emotion has focussed on the static view of the emotion. That is, they have mainly discussed about how to design the shape of the system in favor of human's inherant emotion. In this paper, the dynamic view of the :emotion based on the behaviors of the system is studied. We suggested a model(called PE model) for dealing emotion. The system based on PE model consists of potential modules each of which is autonomous, selfish and rational enough. The global goal of the system is obtained by allowing influential power among potential modules. We could show that a system in dynamic environment may have some type of its own emotion by using PE model.

  • This paper studies the effect of pad at initial stage and wear during braking on the dynamic contact pressure distribution. Wear is influenced by variable factor (contact pressure, sliding speed, radius, temperature) during dynamic braking and variation in contact pressure distribution. Many researchers have conducted complex eigenvalue analysis considering wear characteristic with Lim and Ashby wear map. The conventional analysis method is assumed the pad has smooth and flat surfaces. The purpose of this paper is to validate that wear rate induced by braking is considered for the precise squeal prediction. After obtaining pad wear from experiment, it is incorporated with FE model of brake system. Finally, the comparisons in fugitive nature of squeal will be carried out between the complex eigenvalue analysis and noise dynamometer experiment.

  • Marketable permit system (MPS) is a economic incentive instrument that allows polluters to achieve static and dynamic efficiency, However, Korea's atmospheric regulations are primarily based upon command and control (CAC) system and partly upon economic incentive instruments, which fail to realize its relative effectiveness, Accordingly, an introduction of MPS has been recommended with the cost effectiveness analysis in numerous studies, The literature, however, did not consider the relationship between MPS and the existing regulations, which is a key factor for the successful introduction of MPS, This paper provides a set of principles to judge how the existing regulations are reconciled with the introduction of MPS, In addition, authors execute an empirical study to show MPS's cost effectiveness when regulators apply MPS in Ulsan area for the abatement of sulfur dioxide, The results suggest that the regulations such as fuel regulation should be excluded when implementing MPS, and a flexibility in legal and regulatory system is to be required in order to secure a successful implementation of MPS.

  • This paper represents the application of the Static Var Compensator(SVC) on the electric railway power supply system. The purpose of the electric equipment can be summarized as to improve electrical power quality and to maintain the voltage. This paper shows that the SVC is necessary for voltage compensation in the railway power supply system and verify effectiveness of the SVC through the simulation. In this paper, the case studies were performed with the various line length and train position.

  • This paper represents the application of the Static Var Compensator (SVC) on the electric railway power supply system to compensate for the voltage drop. The high reactance of line and a heavy train load consume a significant amount of the reactive power which results the voltage drop. This paper shows that the SVC is necessary for voltage compensation in the railway power supply system and verify effectiveness of the SVC through the simulation by using PSCAD/EMTDC. In this paper, the case studies were performed with the various line length and train loads.

  • Many studies for the perforated plates have been done, especially on the subject of static behavior and stress distribution in the plate. Equivalent elastic properties are one of the successive concepts for this problem. However little effort was taken to get their dynamic characteristics. In this paper finite element modal analysis was performed for the perforated plates having square and triangular hole patterns. An attempt to use existing equivalent elastic properties into the modal analysis of the plate was carried out. To verify feasibility of the finite element models, modal test was also performed on one typical perforated plate. System parameters such as natural frequencies and mode shapes were extracted and compared with the analysis results.

  • The important use of the desuperheater(multi spray type) changes the superheated steam into the saturated steam. It is more efficient and suitable for using the process. Also, it is more convenient and stable regarding the process temperature control. In this study, transient and quasi-static analysis were done for the evaluation of structural integrity of the multi spray type desuperheater of the power plant. Computational analysis was used to calculate the thermal stress, and the vibration test was done to evaluate the structural stability. This paper is verified by analysis that water spray nozzle(${\phi}=28mm$) shows the best ability. The results show that structural stability of the desuperheater under the real operating condition was proven.
