뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자의 슬괵근 유연성과 보행능력에 대한 신경가동기법, 정적 신장기법 및 수축-이완기법의 즉각적 효과 비교 (Comparison the Initial Effects of Nerve Mobilization Techniques, Static Stretching and Contract-Relax on Hamstring Flexibility and Walking Ability in Post-Stroke Hemiplegia Patients)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare the initial effect of nerve mobilization (NM), static stretching (SS), and contract-relax (CR) techniques to find the best method in improving hamstring flexibility and gait function in patients with hemiplegia. Methods : Eleven patients with hemiplegia were included in this study. Passive knee extension (PKE) range of motion and the sit and reach (SR) test were used to measure hamstring flexibility, while timed up and go (TUG) and the 10m walking (10MW) test were used to measure the subject's gait. Measurements on each test were assessed prior to the experiment, immediately following the experiment, and 30 minutes after the experiment. Analysis of the results utilized a repeated measures analysis of variance to examine hamstring flexibility and the difference in walking ability. Results : The results suggest significant increases in NM, SS, and CR techniques as they relate to hamstring flexibility (p<.05) following (both immediate and 30 minutes post experiment) PKE range of motion and the SR test, but post-hoc showed no significant difference between the three techniques (p>.05). Additionally, the results suggest significant increases in NM, SS, and CR techniques as they relate to gait function (p<.05) following the TUG test, but found no significant difference in the 10MW test (p>.05). Post-hoc analysis between the three techniques suggests that only the NM technique significantly changed gait function. The time of TUG and 10MW test showed no significant difference between the three techniques before an experiment, just after an experiment, and 30 minutes following the experiment according to the measurement points in time (p>.05). Conclusion : This study suggests NM, SS, and CR techniques immediately improve hamstring length and flexibility while improving gait function in patients with hemiplegia.

Structural performance evaluation of a steel-plate girder bridge using ambient acceleration measurements

  • The load carrying capacity of a bridge needs to be properly assessed to operate the bridge safely and maintain it efficiently. For the evaluation of load carrying capacity considering the current state of a bridge, static and quasi-static loading tests with weight-controlled heavy trucks have been conventionally utilized. In these tests, the deflection (or strain) of the structural members loaded by the controlled vehicles are measured and analyzed. Using the measured data, deflection (or strain) correction factor and impact correction factor are calculated. These correction factors are used in the enhancement of the load carrying capacity of a bridge, reflecting the real state of a bridge. However, full or partial control of the traffic during the tests and difficulties during the installment of displacement transducers or strain gauges may cause not only inconvenience to the traffic but also the increase of the logistics cost and time. To overcome these difficulties, an alternative method is proposed using an excited response part of full measured ambient acceleration data by ordinary traffic on a bridge without traffic control. Based on the modal properties extracted from the ambient vibration data, the initial finite element (FE) model of a bridge can be updated to represent the current real state of a bridge. Using the updated FE model, the deflection of a bridge akin to the real value can be easily obtained without measuring the real deflection. Impact factors are obtained from pseudo-deflection, which is obtained by double-integration of the acceleration data with removal of the linear components on the acceleration data. For validation, a series of tests were carried out on a steel plategirder bridge of an expressway in Korea in four different seasons, and the evaluated load carrying capacities of the bridge by the proposed method are compared with the result obtained by the conventional load test method.

'제어모멘트자이로'의 질량불균형 보정 (The Imbalance Compensation in CMG)

  • '제어모멘트자이로' 내 모멘텀 휠의 속도가 커지게 되면 질량 불균형으로 인해 발생하는 의도하지 않은 힘과 토크가 증가하게 된다. 그리고 이러한 힘과 토크는 위성을 통해 촬영된 SAR 영상의 떨림을 유발하기 때문에 최소화하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 '제어모멘트자이로' 내 모멘텀 휠의 질량불균형(정적질량불균형과 커플질량불균형)의 보상에 대해서 기술하였다. 우선 M&S를 통해 질량불균형의 발생에 따른 질량중심점에서 발생하는 힘과 토크의 발생을 예측하였다. 두 번째로는 힘과 토크의 측정 지점을 회전 중심에서 이격하였을 때, 질량불균형에 따른 힘과 토크의 발생을 예측하였다. 세 번째로는 질량불균형으로 인해 발생하는 힘과 토크를 측정하기 위한 장치 구성에 대해 기술하였으며, 네 번째로는 실제 구동하는 모멘텀 휠에 지정된 질량을 추가하였을 때, 힘과 토크의 변화량을 M&S와 비교하여 기술하였다. 그리고 마지막으로 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 24Nm급 '제어모멘트자이로'를 대기모드로 구동하였을 때의 보정 전과 후의 힘과 토크 변화를 기술하였다.

오타고 운동프로그램이 낙상 경험 노인의 신체기능 및 낙상 위험도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Otago Exercise Program on Physical Function and Risk of Falling in the Falls Experienced Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 오타고 운동프로그램이 낙상 경험 노인의 신체기능 및 낙상 위험도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 낙상을 1회 이상 경험한 노인 36명을 대상으로 각각 오타고 운동프로그램 집단(실험군)과 일반적인 균형훈련집단(대조군)으로 무작위 분류하였다. 각 집단은 30분씩 주 3회, 총 8주 동안 운동을 실시하였다. 낙상의 위험성을 평가하기 위해 Tetrax를 사용하여 측정하였다. 또한, 신체기능의 측정을 위해 정적균형은 Biorescue, 동적균형은 TUG, 보행능력은 10MWT, 하지근력은 FTSST를 이용하여 측정하였다. 각 그룹 내 운동 전·후 차이를 검증하기 위하여 대응표본 t-검정(Paired T-test)을 실시하였고, 그룹 간의 비교를 위하여 독립표본 t-검정(Independent Sample T-test)을 실시하였다. 실험결과, 실험군, 대조군 모두 정적균형능력 및 동적균형능력은 운동 후 유의하게 증가하였으며, 낙상의 위험성은 감소하였다(p<.05). 하지근력 및 보행능력은 실험군에서만 운동 후 유의하게 증가하였다(p<.05). 본 연구의 결과를 종합해보면, 오타고 운동프로그램은 낙상 경험 노인의 신체기능 증진 및 낙상의 위험성이 감소에 효과적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

고유수용성 신경근 촉진법 통합패턴이 요통환자의 균형에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Total Patterns of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation on Balance Improvement in Patients with Low back pain)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to find out The effect of Low back pain on the total pattens of Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF). Methods : The subjects of the study were 62 low back pain patients. They were divided into two groups: 31 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group. the experimental group performed modalities and PNF total patterns three times for a week. the control group performed only modalities and ROM exercise three times for a week. Back muscle strength was measured by a back muscle strength measuring machine, the intensity of pain was measured by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and the level of disability was measured by Oswestry low back pain disability index. Study measurements were compared before and after 6 weeks exercise program. The two groups of subjects were assessed by utilizing two different balance measurement: Static standing balance was measured by balance performance monitor (BPM) and Dynamic standing balance was measured by one leg standing(OLS). The scale for static standing balance was measured by using, sway area, sway path, max velocity. Results : The results of this study were as follow: 1) The score on visual analogue scale shows statistically significant increase on PNF group of post test(p<.05). 2) The score on Oswestry low back pain disability index. shows statistically significant decrease on PNF group of post test(p<.05). 3) The change sway area was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 4) The change sway path was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 5) The change max velocity was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 6) The score on one leg standing shows statistically significant increase on PNF group of post test(p<.05). Conclusion : These results of this study indicated that Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Total patterns which performed for six weeks had a statistically significant influence on low back pain. If the exercise for muscle strength is performed along with therapeutic stabilizing exercise, a better effect can be expected on low back pain. We hope that this study will provide a basic data for further research with a bigger group and on a long-term effect.

Ntrip 기반 보정서비스를 활용한 저가 GPS 수신기의 실시간 측위 정확도 평가 (Assessing the Real-time Positioning Accuracy of Low-cost GPS Receiver using NTRIP-based Augmentation Service)

  • 본 연구는 NTRIP 기반 보정서비스를 활용한 저가 GPS 수신기의 실시간 측량방법별 정적 및 동적 측위 정확도를 제시한 내용이다. 이를 위해 u-blox사의 LEA 6T GPS 수신 자료와 GNSS 상시관측소의 보정 정보를 NTRIP 캐스터를 매개로 RTKNAVI 공개용 GNSS 해석 툴에 실시간 연계하여 6가지 측량방법(Single, SBAS, DGPS, PPP, RTK, TCP/IP_RTK)으로 위치 정확도를 비교하였다. 정적 실험모형의 적용결과, GPS L1 RTK 측량의 위치오차 평균 및 표준편차는 $N=0.002m{\pm}0.001m$, $E=0.004m{\pm}0.001m$, $h=-0.116m{\pm}0.003m$로서 정밀상대측위 좌표에 근접한 성과를 구현할 수 있었다. 특히, 동적 실험모형에서도 도로 주변 장애물의 영향은 있지만, 모호정수가 고정된 구간의 경우, VRS Network RTK 측량 궤적에 근접한 주행궤적을 보였다. 또한, TCP/IP_RTK 측량용 기준국을 구성하고 정적측량의 활용성을 검토하였다.

The Effects of Pilates Exercise on Static and Dynamic Balance in the Elderly

  • Objective: Pilates is a low/mid-intensity exercise that can be easily performed by elderly individuals as it is an individual body-oriented exercise. It is also a cardio workout that can be performed anywhere to develop strength and flexibility. Therefore, we investigated the effects of 8 week Pilates program on the balancing ability of elderly individuals. Method: The research participants were selected from elderly residents in B city. Ten individuals voluntarily signed an agreement to undergo free measurements as well as to participate in the workout program. (Height: $157.1{\pm}11.9cm$, Weight: $61.7{\pm}8.0kg$). The Pilates exercise was performed 60 minutes a day, three times a week for a total of eight weeks. The measurement variables used to test balance were the vestibular test, 5 m habitual and maximum walk test and 3 m tandem walk test. A series of paired t-test were conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 to analyze all the research data collected in order to determine the balance ability of the participants before and after the Pilates program. Additionally, the statistically significant level for all analysis was set to ${\alpha}=.05$. Results: In the vestibular test, some meaningful changes were observed in the length envelope area (ENV) while standing on one foot, but there were no significant differences in the ENV, rectangle(REC), root mean square, and total length. Results also revealed that statistically significant differences existed in the 5 m habitual and maximum walk test, as well as the 3 m tandem walk test. Conclusion: To summarize the findings, the 8 week Pilates program employed in this study significantly improved the dynamic balance of the elderly participants. Thus, elderly individuals that frequent perform Pilates are expected to enjoy positive benefits such as increased balance and fewer falling accidents.

QZSS-CLAS의 Compact SSR을 이용한 다중 위성항법 기반의 Code-PPP 개발 (Development of Code-PPP Based on Multi-GNSS Using Compact SSR of QZSS-CLAS)

  • QZSS (Quasi-Zenith Satellite System)는 위성의 L6 밴드를 통해서 CLAS (Centimeter Level Augmentation Service)를 제공한다. CLAS는 현재 GPS (Global Positioing System), Galileo 그리고, QZSS 위성군에 대한 보정정보를 제공하며, 이러한 보정정보를 C-SSR (Compact - Space State Representation)라고 한다. 본 연구에서는 L6 밴드를 수신할 수 있는 GPS 수신기인 Septentrio의 AsteRx4를 이용하여 CLAS 메시지를 수신하고, 그 메시지를 디코딩하여 C-SSR을 획득하였다. 그리고, GPS, Galileo, QZSS의 코드의사거리 관측치에 Compact SSR을 적용하여 GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) 오차를 보정하고, 비선형 최소제곱법으로 수신기의 3차원 위치 및 위성군의 시계오차들을 추정하는 다중 위성항법 기반의 Code-PPP (Precise Point Positioning)를 개발하였다. 개발한 알고리즘의 정확도를 평가하기 위해서 IGS (International GNSS Service) 사이트 중 하나인 TSK2 (Tsukuba)를 대상으로 정지측위를 수행하고, 일본의 가와니시(Kawanishi)시의 이나강(Ina river) 주변을 주행하며 이동측위를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 정지측위의 경우 모든 데이터셋의 평균 RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error)는 수평방향으로 0.35 m, 수직방향으로 0.57 m의 정확도를 나타냈다. 그리고 이동측위의 경우 VRS의 RTK-FIX 값과 비교해 봤을 때 수평방향은 약 0.82 m, 수직방향은 약 3.56 m의 정확도를 나타냈다.

상시 진동을 이용한 교량 정적 처짐 산정 기술의 현장 적용성 연구 (A Study on the Field Application of the Measurement Technique for Static Displacement of Bridge Using Ambient Vibration)

  • 노후 교량의 안전성을 평가하는 방법에 있어서 동특성과 처짐은 구조계의 강성과 직접 연관이 있으며, 처짐의 경우에는 교량 사용자가 직접 감지할 수 있는 물리량으로 가장 중요한 인자이다. 하지만 교량의 처짐을 측정하기 위해서는 교량의 하부에 처짐계를 설치하고 교통 차단 및 재하시험을 실시해야 하는 번거로움이 있어 교량의 환경에 따라서 비용이 증가하거나 측정이 불가능한 문제들이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 처짐계의 설치 없이 가속도계만을 이용하고 재하시험 없이 상시 진동을 이용하여 교량의 처짐을 측정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 상시 진동을 이용한 교량 동특성 및 처짐 분석을 위해 단순한 연산으로 빠른 분석이 가능하다고 알려진 TDD 기법을 이용하여 교량의 모드형상과 고유진동수를 추출하였으며, 유연도 분석을 통하여 교량의 단위하중 처짐을 분석하여 정적 처짐까지 산정하였다. 본 제안 기술의 검증을 위해 공용중 교량인 C대교(사장교)에 적용하여 모드형상, 고유진동수, 정적 처짐 분석을 수행하였으며 재하시험 실측값과 구조해석 자료와 비교하였다. 그 결과 모드형상 및 고유진동수는 0.42~1.13 %, 중앙경간에서의 최대 처짐은 3.58 %의 오차율을 확인하였다. 따라서 제안기술은 처짐계의 설치가 어려워 실측이 불가능한 교량의 처짐을 추정하여 설계값 및 해석값 대비 처짐 발생량 비교로 교량의 안전성을 간접적으로 파악할 수 있는 근거 자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

Comparative study on the performance of Pod type waterjet by experiment and computation

  • A comparative study between a computation and an experiment has been conducted to predict the performance of a Pod type waterjet for cm amphibious wheeled vehicle. The Pod type waterjet has been chosen on the basis of the required specific speed of more than 2500. As the Pod type waterjet is an extreme type of axial flow type waterjet, theoretical as well as experimental works about Pod type waterjets are very rare. The main purpose of the present study is to validate and compare to the experimental results of the Pod type waterjet with the developed CFD in-house code based on the RANS equations. The developed code has been validated by comparing with the experimental results of the well-known turbine problem. The validation also extended to the flush type waterjet where the pressures along the duct surface and also velocities at nozzle area have been compared with experimental results. The Pod type waterjet has been designed and the performance of the designed waterjet system including duct, impeller and stator was analyzed by the previously mentioned m-house CFD Code. The pressure distributions and limiting streamlines on the blade surfaces were computed to confirm the performance of the designed waterjets. In addition, the torque and momentum were computed to find the entire efficiency and these were compared with the model test results. Measurements were taken of the flow rate at the nozzle exit, static pressure at the various sections along the duct and also the nozzle, revolution of the impeller, torque, thrust and towing forces at various advance speed's for the prediction of performance as well as for comparison with the computations. Based on these measurements, the performance was analyzed according to the ITTC96 standard analysis method. The full-scale effective and the delivered power of the wheeled vehicle were estimated for the prediction of the service speed. This paper emphasizes the confirmation of the ITTC96 analysis method and the developed analysis code for the design and analysis of the Pod type waterjet system.
