점성토의 시간의존적 응력 - 변형 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Time Dependent Stress-Strain Behavior of Clay)

  • This paper was carried out to investigate the existence of a unique stress- strain behavior by obtaining some factors influencing the time dependent stress- strain behavior of clay. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows ; 1. The relationship between stress ratro and strain in normally consolidated clay was in- dependent on pre-shear consolidation pressure. Therefore, shear strain could be expressed as a function with stress ratio. 2. The constitutive equation of shear strain on Modified Carn Clay Model coincided better with the observed value than Cam Clay Model. 3. The relationships between deviator stress and shear strain, between pore water pressure and shear strain were unified by the mean equivalent pressure. 4. The shear strain contour in norrnally consolidated clay was increased linearly through origin, but that in overconsolidated clay was not in accordance with the result of the former. 5. Because the effective stress path of normally consolidated clay was unified by the mean equivalent pressure, state boundary surface in (e,p,q) space was transformed into two dimensional surface. But it was considered to be suitable that the unified stress- strain in overconsolidated clay be expressed by a function with overconsolidation ratio. 6. The deviator for constant strain was increased linearly with increment of strain rate ($\varepsilon$) on semi-log scale, but pore water pressure was decreased. 7. The behavior of stress relaxation was transformed from linear to curvilinear with inc - rement of strain rate before stress relaxation test, and pore water pressure was increased in total range. 8. The strain of creep was increased linearly with increment of time on semi-log scale. The greater the strain rate before creep test became, the greater the increment of strain of creep became. And the pore water pressure during creep test was increased generally with increment of time on semi-log scale.

노이즈 불확실성하에서의 확장칼만필터의 변종들과 코스트 레퍼런스 파티클필터를 이용한 표적추적 성능비교 (Performance Comparison of Various Extended Kalman Filter and Cost-Reference Particle Filter for Target Tracking with Unknown Noise)

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형성을 가지는 측정방정식의 상태값을 효과적으로 추정할 수 있는 확장칼만필터(Extended Kalman Filter/EKF)와 확장칼만필터의 변종들 그리고 코스트 레퍼런스 파티클필터(Cost-Reference Particle Filter/CRPF)를 이용하여 이차원 공간에서 표적추적 성능에 관하여 연구한다. 확장칼만필터의 변종으로 분산점칼만필터(Unscented Kalman Filter/UKF), 중심차분칼만필터(Central Difference Kalman Filter/CDKF), 제곱근 분산점칼만필터(Square Root Unscented Kalman Filter/SR-UKF) 그리고 제곱근 중심차분칼만필터(Square Root Central Difference Kalman Filter/SR-CDKF)를 소개한다. 본 연구에서는 노이즈가 불확실한 표적에 대하여 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용하여 각 필터들의 평균제곱오차(Mean Square Error/MSE)를 계산하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 확장칼만필터의 변종들 중에서 제곱근 중심차분칼만필터가 속도와 성능 면에서 가장 우수한 결과를 보여주었다. 코스트 레퍼런스 파티클 필터는 확장칼만필터와 다르게 노이즈의 확률 분포를 알 필요가 없다는 유리한 특성을 가지고 있으며 시뮬레이션 결과 제곱근 중심차분칼만필터보다 처리속도 및 정확도 면에서 우수한 결과를 보여주었다.

A Maximum Likelihood Estimator Based Tracking Algorithm for GNSS Signals

  • This paper presents a novel signal tracking algorithm for GNSS receivers using a MLE technique. In order to perform a robust signal tracking in severe signal environments, e.g., high dynamics for navigation vehicles or weak signals for indoor positioning, the MLE based signal tracking approach is adopted in the paper. With assuming white Gaussian additive noise, the cost function of MLE is expanded to the cost function of NLSE. Efficient and practical approach for Doppler frequency tracking by the MLE is derived based on the assumption of code-free signals, i.e., the cost function of the MLE for carrier Doppler tracking is used to derive a discriminator function to create error signals from incoming and reference signals. The use of the MLE method for carrier tracking makes it possible to generalize the MLE equation for arbitrary codes and modulation schemes. This is ideally suited for various GNSS signals with same structure of tracking module. This paper proposes two different types of MLE based tracking method, i.e., an iterative batch processing method and a non-iterative feed-forward processing method. The first method is derived without any limitation on time consumption, while the second method is proposed for a time limited case by using a 1st derivative of cost function, which is proportional to error signal from discriminators of conventional tracking methods. The second method can be implemented by a block diagram approach for tracking carrier phase, Doppler frequency and code phase with assuming no correlation of signal parameters. Finally, a state space form of FLL/PLL/DLL is adopted to the designed MLE based tracking algorithm for reducing noise on the estimated signal parameters.

Sampled-Data Modeling and Dynamic Behavior Analysis of Peak Current-Mode Controlled Flyback Converter with Ramp Compensation

  • The flyback converter, which can be regarded as a nonlinear time-varying system, has complex dynamics and nonlinear behaviors. These phenomena can affect the stability of the converter. To simplify the modeling process and retain the information of the output capacitor branch, a special sampled-data model of a peak current-mode (PCM) controlled flyback converter is established in this paper. Based on this, its dynamic behaviors are analyzed, which provides guidance for designing the circuit parameters of the converter. With the critical stability boundary equation derived by a Jacobian matrix, the stable operation range with a varied output capacitor, proportional coefficient of error the amplifier, input voltage, reference voltage and slope of the compensation ramp of a PCM controlled flyback converter are investigated in detail. Research results show that the duty ratio should be less than 0.5 for a PCM controlled flyback converter without ramp compensation to operate in a stable state. The stability regions in the parameter space between the output capacitor and the proportional coefficient of the error amplifier are enlarged by increasing the input voltage or by decreasing the reference voltage. Furthermore, the ramp compensation also can extend to the stable region. Finally, time-domain simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis results.

Dynamic Control Allocation for Shaping Spacecraft Attitude Control Command

  • For spacecraft attitude control, reaction wheel (RW) steering laws with more than three wheels for three-axis attitude control can be derived by using a control allocation (CA) approach.1-2 The CA technique deals with a problem of distributing a given control demand to available sets of actuators.3-4 There are many references for CA with applications to aerospace systems. For spacecraft, the control torque command for three body-fixed reference frames can be constructed by a combination of multiple wheels, usually four-wheel pyramid sets. Multi-wheel configurations can be exploited to satisfy a body-axis control torque requirement while satisfying objectives such as minimum control energy.1-2 In general, the reaction wheel steering laws determine required torque command for each wheel in the form of matrix pseudo-inverse. In general, the attitude control command is generated in the form of a feedback control. The spacecraft body angular rate measured by gyros is used to estimate angular displacement also.⁵ Combination of the body angular rate and attitude parameters such as quaternion and MRPs(Modified Rodrigues Parameters) is typically used in synthesizing the control command which should be produced by RWs.¹ The attitude sensor signals are usually corrupted by noise; gyros tend to contain errors such as drift and random noise. The attitude determination system can estimate such errors, and provide best true signals for feedback control.⁶ Even if the attitude determination system, for instance, sophisticated algorithm such as the EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) algorithm⁶, can eliminate the errors efficiently, it is quite probable that the control command still contains noise sources. The noise and/or other high frequency components in the control command would cause the wheel speed to change in an undesirable manner. The closed-loop system, governed by the feedback control law, is also directly affected by the noise due to imperfect sensor characteristics. The noise components in the sensor signal should be mitigated so that the control command is isolated from the noise effect. This can be done by adding a filter to the sensor output or preventing rapid change in the control command. Dynamic control allocation(DCA), recently studied by Härkegård, is to distribute the control command in the sense of dynamics⁴: the allocation is made over a certain time interval, not a fixed time instant. The dynamic behavior of the control command is taken into account in the course of distributing the control command. Not only the control command requirement, but also variation of the control command over a sampling interval is included in the performance criterion to be optimized. The result is a control command in the form of a finite difference equation over the given time interval.⁴ It results in a filter dynamics by taking the previous control command into account for the synthesis of current control command. Stability of the proposed dynamic control allocation (CA) approach was proved to ensure the control command is bounded at the steady-state. In this study, we extended the results presented in Ref. 4 by adding a two-step dynamic CA term in deriving the control allocation law. Also, the strict equality constraint, between the virtual and actual control inputs, is relaxed in order to construct control command with a smooth profile. The proposed DCA technique is applied to a spacecraft attitude control problem. The sensor noise and/or irregular signals, which are existent in most of spacecraft attitude sensors, can be handled effectively by the proposed approach.

Slip-line법을 이용한 V형 암석 노치의 파괴하중 계산 (Calculation of Failure Load of V-shaped Rock Notch Using Slip-line Method)

  • 2차원 응력조건에서 V형 암석노치의 파괴하중을 계산하는 해석적 절차를 slip-line 소성해석법 기반으로 개발하였다. 노치 주변의 암석이 소성상태에 있을 때 slip-line 중 하나인 α선이 암석 노치 면과 노치 외부 수평면을 연결한다는 사실과 α선을 따라서 변하지 않는 불변량이 존재한다는 이론적 사실이 해석적 절차 개발과정에서 핵심 아이디어로 활용되었다. 암석 노치 외부 수평면의 응력 경계조건을 알고 있으므로 불변량 방정식을 풀면 암석 노치 면에 작용하는 수직응력과 전단응력을 계산하는 것이 가능해진다. 노치 면에 작용하는 응력성분 값을 이용하여 쐐기에 의해 노치에 가해지는 파괴하중을 계산하였다. 개발된 해석적 절차를 적용하여 암석 노치파괴 해석을 수행하였다. 암석 노치의 파괴하중은 노치의 각도 및 노치 면의 마찰이 증가함에 따라 지수함수적 비선형성을 가지고 증가하는 특성이 있음을 해석결과는 보여주었다. 이 연구에서 개발한 해석적 절차는 쐐기형 노치 형성을 통한 암석균열 개시조건 연구, 암반 기초 지지력 계산, 암반사면 및 원형터널의 안전성 해석 등에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

DCT 평면에서의 비정상 시변 근전도 신호의 인식과 병렬처리컴퓨터를 이용한 실시간 구현 (Identification of Nonstationary Time Varying EMG Signal in the DCT Domain and a Real Time Implementation Using Parallel Processing Computer)

  • 근전도 신호(electromyogram)의 시변 비정상(time varying nonstationary) 특성은 신호의 정확한 모델링 및 인식에 제약 조건으로 받아들여 졌다. 특히, 최근 들어 장애자들을 위한 보철제어분야에서 근전도 신호를 이용한 기능적 전기 자극을 위한 FES(funcitonal electrical stimulation) 시스템에 있어 근전도 신호의 파라메터 인식은 중요한 요소로서 작용한다. 그러나, 근전도 신호는 자세의 변화 및 근육 피로도 등의 요인에 의해서 시변 비정상 특성을 띠고 있기 때문에 시간에 따라 변하는 인식 파라메터를 정확하게 인식할 수 있는 새로운 알고리즘의 개발과 실시간 처리가 가능한 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 설계가 요구된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 시평면의 근전도 신호를 이산 여현 변환(discrete cosine transform)을 이용하여 변환 평면으로 옮긴 다음 상태 방정식(state space equation)을 써서 변환 평면상에서의 AR(autoregressive) 모델을 세우고 주어진 근전도 신호에 대해 모델 파라메터를 추정하였으며, 제안한 알고리즘은 실시간 처리를 위하여 2개의 독립적인 중앙 연산 처리 장치를 갖춘 INMOS사의 IMS T-805 병렬 처리 컴퓨터를 이용하여 동시 다발적인 연산을 수행함으로서 알고리즘의 연산 효율을 높였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 모델의 추정 오차에 영향을 미치는 입력 자기상관 행렬(input correlation matrix)의 condition number의 변화 및 평균자승오차(mean square error)를 구하여 기존의 SLS(sequential least square) 알고리즘과 비교하였다.

유한차분법에서 MUR과 GPML 흡수경계조건을 이용한 동축 도파관 안테나에 접촉된 생체의 SAR 패턴 비교 (Comparison with SAR Patterns of Biological Objects Contacted with Coaxial Waveguide Antenna Using MUR and GPML ABCs in the FDTD Method)

  • 동축 도파관 안테나에 접촉된 생체의 SAR 패턴을 계산하였고, 여기서 사용한 생체는 균질 및 4층 손실 인체 모델이다. 본 연구에서는 유한차분법 알고리즘과 MUR 및 GPML 흡수경계조건 방정식을 원통좌표계에서 유도 하였다. 또한 매개체에서 홉수전력 패턴을 얻기 위하여 동축 도파판 안테나와 생체모텔 사이의 결합을 유한차분 법에서 MUR과 GPML 흡수경계조건을 사용하여 해석하였다. 온도분포와 일치하는 SAR 분포는 MUR 및 G GPML 홉수경계조건을 사용한 유한차분법에서 정상상태 응답올 사용하여 각 영역에서 계산하였다. MUR 홉수 경계조건을 사용한 유한차분법의 SAR 패턴을 GPML 홉수경계조건을 사용한 유한차분볍의 SAR 패턴과 비교 하였다. 비교 결과, MUR 흡수경계조건을 사용한 SAR 패턴의 침투 깊이가 GPML 흡수경계조건을 사용한 S SAR 패턴의 침투 깊이보다 더 깊다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 현상은 GPML 흡수경계조건에서는 자유공간 의 손실을 고려했기 때문이다. 그렇지만 GPML 흡수경계조건을 사용한 SAR 패턴의 측방향으로의 퍼짐이 M MUR 홉수경계조건을 사용한 SAR 패턴보다 더 작다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • “소리의 비 가시성(非 可視性)”은 소음을 제어하고자 하는 공학자에게 주어진 근원적인 어려움 중의 하나이다. 따라서 이러한 비 가시성을 완화할 수 있는. 다시 말하면 소음을 볼 수 있는 방법에 대한 탐구는 많은 관심과 시도가 있어왔다. 이들 방법 중 대표적인 것으로 이론적 또는 수치적인 방법을 이용하여 소음을 가시화 하려는 많은 시도를 들 수 있다. 수치적인 방법의 경우에는 난류 유동의 가시화 분야에서 괄목할 만한 성과를 이루어왔으나 난류 소음의 가시화에는 부족한 상태이다 실험적인 방법의 경우는 마이크로폰 제작 기술의 발달로 인한 가격 인하로 많은 수의 마이크로본을 손쉽게 확보할 수 있게 되었고 매우 빠른 신호처리 기술의 발달이 확보됨으로써 많은 진전이 이루어졌으나, 가시화된 음장 정보의 정확한 해석 등이 여전히 어려운 분야로 남아있다. 또한 음장 가시화 결과에는 항상 유한한 측정 자료로 인한 오차가 포함되어 있으며, 이로 인하여 논문의 제목에서 강조한 바와 같이 소음인의 탐지 및 소음원의 공간적인 분포를 결정하는 데 어려움이 있다. 이 논문은 음장 가시화와 관련된 간략한 역사를 레오나르도 다빈치의 유명한 와류 유동 그림에서 출발하여 현대적 개념의 선형 혹은 평면형 마이크로폰 배열에 의해 수행되는 음향 홀로그래피 분야를 전반부에 설명하고, 음향 홀로그래피 구현에 있어서 발생하는 어려운 문제와 최근의 연구 동향을 후반부에 소개하는 방식으로 구성되어 있다. 최근의 문제 중에서는 자동차나 기차와 같이 이동하는 소음원을 가시화하기 위한 이동 후레임(moving frame)을 이용한 홀로그램 구성 방법과 닫힌 공간에서의 소음원 탐지를 위해 필요한 소리의 반사 효과 제거에 대하여도 기술하고 있다. 또한, 최근에 연구되는 또 다른 중요한 분야로서 “우리는 두 마리의 새가 지저귀는 것인지 아니면 한 마리의 새가 두 개의 목소리를 가지고 지저귀는 것인지 알 수 있을까?" 라는 질문으로 표현할 수 있는 공간상에 분포하는 소음원의 상호 의존관계를 구분하는 분야에 대한 문제 제기와 현실적인 접근 방법을 논하고 있다.

High Resolution HC$_3$N Observations toward the Central Region of Sagittarius B2

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500,550,570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500,550 and 570nm. The correlation between glucose concentration and parameters was the best at 610nm. 30535 T00401030535 ^x Radiation-induced fibrosarcoma tumors were grown on the flanks of C3H mice. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100,300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. On this base, we composed of the radial pulse diagnosis system in korean traditional medicine. The system composed of a radial pulse wave detection system and a radial pulse diagnosis system. With a detection system, we detected Inyoung and Cheongu radial pulse wave and processed it. Then, we have got the characteristic parameters of radial pulse wave and also quantified that according to the method of Inyoung-Cheongu Comparison Radial Pulse Diagnosis.
