We have carried out a survey of T Tauri stars (TTSs) in a 1,800-square-degrees region toward the Taurus-Auriga star forming region with the AKARI Mid-Infrared All-Sky Survey. By combination of AKARI, 2MASS, and UCAC surveys, we created new criteria to chose TTS candidates. We also considered Asymptotic Giant Branch stars and galaxies, which have similar infrared colors, to separate TTSs from these sources. On the basis of our criteria, we find 27 new TTS candidates. To verify our criteria, we performed follow-up observations for them and confirmed that 23 are TTSs.

The Redshift Search Receiver (RSR) is a sensitive, ultra-wideband spectrometer that is being built at the University of Massachusetts as one of the facility instruments for the 50-m Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT). It consists of four receivers each covering the entire 3 mm window from 74 to 111 GHz instantaneously. The primary goal of the receiver is to detect multiple molecular lines in galaxies at any distance and uniquely determine the redshift, in particular dust-obscured star forming systems at high-z which are not easily accessible. I will present some results from commissioning of the RSR on the Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory 14-m telescope, and discuss the future of the receiver.

We present the results of far-infrared spectroscopic observations of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) with FIS-FTS. We covered a large area across the LMC, including 30 Doradus (30 Dor) and N44 star-forming regions, by 191 pointings in total. As a result, we detect the [OIII] and [CII] line emission as well as far-infrared dust continuum emission throughout the LMC. We find that the [OIII] emission is widely distributed around 30 Dor. The observed size of the distribution is too large to be explained by massive stars in 30 Dor, which are assumed to be enshrouded by clouds with the constant gas density estimated from the [OIII] line intensities. Therefore the surrounding structure is likely to be highly clumpy. We also find a global correlation between the [OIII] and the far-infrared continuum emission, suggesting that the gas and dust are well mixed in the highly-ionized region where the dust survives in clumpy dense clouds shielded from energetic photons. Furthermore we find that the ratios of [CII]/CO are as high as 110,000 in 30 Dor, and 45,000 even on average, while they are typically 6,000 for star-forming regions in our Galaxy. The unusually high [CII]/CO is also consistent with the picture of clumpy small dense clouds.
The NISS (Near-infrared Imaging Spectrometer for Star formation history) is the near-infrared spectro-photometric instrument optimized to the first Next Generation of small satellite (NEXTSat-1). The off-axis optics was developed to cover a wide field of view with 2 deg. ${\times}$ 2 deg. as well as a wide wavelength range from 0.95 to $2.5{\mu}m$. Considering the simple alignment scheme, afocal system was adapted in the optical components. The mechanical structures were tested under the space environment. We have obtained the accurate calibration data using our test facilities under the operational condition. After the final integration of flight model into the satellite, the communication with the satellite and the functional test were passed. The NISS will be launched in early 2018. During around 2-year operation, the spectro-photometric survey covering more than 100 square degree will be performed. To achieve the major scientific objectives for the study of the cosmic star formation in local and distant universe, the main observational targets will be nearby galaxies, galaxy clusters, star-forming regions and low background regions. Here, we report the final performance of the flight model of the NISS.
Far-infrared observations provide crucial data for the investigation and characterisation of the properties of dusty material in the Interstellar Medium (ISM), since most of its energy is emitted between ~ 100 and $200{\mu}m$. We present the first all-sky image from a sensitive all-sky survey using the Japanese AKARI satellite, in the wavelength range $50-180{\mu}m$. Covering > 99% of the sky in four photometric bands with four filters centred at $65{\mu}m$, $90{\mu}m$, $140{\mu}m$, and $160{\mu}m$ wavelengths, this achieved spatial resolutions from 1 to 2 arcmin and a detection limit of < 10 MJy $sr^{-1}$, with absolute and relative photometric accuracies of < 20%. All-sky images of the Galactic dust continuum emission enable astronomers to map the large-scale distribution of the diffuse ISM cirrus, to study its thermal dust temperature, emissivity and column density, and to measure the interaction of the Galactic radiation field and embedded objects with the surrounding ISM. In addition to the point source population of stars, protostars, star-forming regions, and galaxies, the high Galactic latitude sky is shown to be covered with a diffuse filamentary-web of dusty emission that traces the potential sites of high latitude star formation. We show that the temperature of dust particles in thermal equilibrium with the ambient interstellar radiation field can be estimated by using $90{\mu}m$, $140{\mu}m$, and $160{\mu}m$ data. The FIR AKARI full-sky maps provide a rich new data set within which astronomers can investigate the distribution of interstellar matter throughout our Galaxy, and beyond.
New space program for "Next-Generation Small Satellite (NEXTSat)" launched last year after the success of the series of Science & Technology Satellite (STSAT). KASI proposed the near-infrared imaging spectrometer as a scientific payload onboard NEXTSat-1. It was selected as one of two scientific payloads. The approved scientific payload is the near-infrared imaging spectrometer for the study of star formation history (NISS). The efficient near-infrared observation can be performed in space by evading the atmospheric emission as well as other thermal noise. The observation of cosmic near-infrared background enables us to reveal the early Universe in an indirect way through the measurement of absolute brightness and spatial fluctuation. The detection of near-infrared spectral lines in nearby galaxies, cluster of galaxies and star forming regions give us less biased information on the star formation. In addition, the NISS will be expected to demonstrate our technologies related to the development of the Korea's leading near-infrared instrument for the future large infrared telescope, SPICA.
We present a census of AGN-driven gas outflows based on the kinematics of ionized gas and stars, using a large sample of ~11,000 emission line galaxies at z < 0.3, selected from SDSS. First, a broad correlation between gas and stellar velocity dispersions indicates that the bulge gravitational potential plays a main role in determining the ionized gas kinematics. However, the velocity dispersion of the [OIII] emission line is larger than stellar velocity dispersion by a factor of 1.3-1.4, suggesting that the non-gravitational (non-virial) component, i.e., outflows, is almost comparable to the gravitational component. Second, gas-to-stellar velocity dispersion ratio increases with both AGN luminosity and Eddington ratio, suggesting that non-gravitational kinematics are clearly linked to AGN accretion. The distribution in the [OIII] velocity - velocity dispersion diagram dramatically expands toward large values with increasing AGN luminosity, implying that the launching velocity of gas outflows increases with AGN luminosity. Third, the fraction of AGNs with a signature of the non-gravitational kinematics, steeply increases with AGN luminosity and Eddington ratio, while the majority of luminous AGNs presents the non-gravitational kinematics in the [OIII] profile. These results suggest that ionized gas outflows are prevalent among type 2 AGNs. On the other hand, we find no strong trend of the [OIII] kinematics with radio luminosity, once we remove the effect of the bulge gravitational potential, indicating that ionized gas outflows are not directly related to radio activity for the majority of type 2 AGNs. We will discuss the implication of these results for AGN feedback in the local universe.

Recent studies suggest that the difference between global and local properties of galaxies (the local-global environmental (LoG) bias) might be important in the Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) host galaxy studies. Obtaining local spectroscopic properties of hosts at high redshift, however, is challenging. Here we will introduce a more efficient way to conduct this study by only using photometric data. We find that when we restrict a sample to the hosts whose stellar mass is less than $10^{10}$$M_{\odot}$, a sample without LoG bias is efficiently selected. From the sample without LoG bias, we confirm that SNe Ia in locally star-forming environment are $0.103{\pm}0.010mag$ and $0.085{\pm}0.012mag$ fainter than those in locally passive region, for MLCS2k2 and SALT2, respectively. Because of ~6 times larger sample that covers much wider redshift range, our results are far more significant statistically, $10.3{\sigma}$ for MLCS2k2 and $7.1{\sigma}$ for SALT2, than previous results.
The ADF-S (AKARI Deep Field - South) toward South Ecliptic Pole is one of the deep survey fields designed for the study of Cosmic Infrared Background (CIB). Owing to the easy accessibility with space missions and its low background brightness, the deep extragalactic survey was initiated by AKARI deep far-infrared observations and it will be performed by other future missions (e.g., Euclid, NISS, SPHEREx). The recent optical survey with KMTNet enabled us to identify the optical counterparts for dusty star-forming galaxies such as ULIRG, DOG, SMG. In addition, the NISS will perform the valuable spectro-photometric survey in the ADF-S. Those multi-wavelength data sets helps to trace the major galaxy population contributing to the CIB. Here, we introduce the extragalactic survey with the NISS and report the current status of the multi-wavelength extragalactic studies in the ADF-S.

The Time Domain Field is one of the future GTO program fields of JWST(JWST/GTO TDS), surveying about 14' diameter field at the North Eliptical Pole(NEP) with NIRCam/NIRISS. As a part of the multi-wavelength study of the field, we have obtained SCUBA-2 850㎛ mapping which reaches a depth of σrms = 0.9mJy/beam and detect 93 sources at S/N > 3.5 ― which are expected to be highly star-forming (SFR>400M◉/yr) galaxies at z ≳ 1.5-4 and pinpoint the location at <0. " 1 accuracy of 68 sub-mm sources by identifying VLA 3GHz radio counterparts. In this talk, we will introduce the SCUBA-2 JWST/GTO TDS project and the newly discovered sub-mm sources in this field.
