For a long-term strategy, making competitive corporate image is important because companies have their own competitiveness. In addition, importance of having a relationship with customer is magnified through consumers'direct and indirect experience. "The corporate complex cultural space is designed place for experiential marketing to convey its meaning to consumers." Under above concept, this study analyzed the theory of experiential marketing and conducted a survey which is based on experiential marketing strategic module (SEMs) using the analyzed theory. This study drew expression characteristics of space through case analysis and conducted a survey to have more effective corporate complex cultural space. As a result, the experience in the space enables people to understand of the space through five senses, not consist of simply chucks of sense-date, and this result emphasizes the importance of 'Event' because people tend to escape from restriction for reality to relive stress and have emotional satisfaction. In addition, it shows expression characteristics which provide sympathy as a flexible interaction through symbolical image. The result of the expression characteristics' survey is showed up to improve effect of corporate complex cultural space. This study is analyzing the corporate complex cultural space through experience marketing for the company which wants provide differentiated experience of various space expression methods and catching current position. • Interests in the field of rapid methods and automation in microbiology have been growing steadily on an international scale in recent years. International meetings concerned this problem have been held in elsewhere in the world countries since the past twenty years. But, unfortunately in the field of microbial examination in food hygiene, this problem have not yet been developed so much as in the field of clinical microbiology. Today, I would like to introduce you here present aspects of rapid and automation technologies, those which are manly carrying in milk and meats industries. My illustration will be given recent improved technologies using automatic apparatus and instruments along with process of microbial count procedure. Recent direct microbiological counting system (ChemeScan \ulcorner) as real time ultrasensitive analysis created by Cheminex Ltd., France is now most evolutional instrument to provide direct microbial counts, down to one cell, within 30 minutes. The results from these evaluations how a good correlation between the ChemScan system and the standard plate count method. This system will be successful application for not only in the field of pharmacology but also food microbiology. In addition, current identification of microbes by sophisticated instruments suitable for food microbiology, one of which Biology is manual system (BIOLOG\ulcorner), provides reference-level capability at a modes price. For the manual system, the color reactions in the microplate are read by eye and manually keyed into personal computer. Species identification appears on the computer screen within seconds, along with biotype patterns, a list of closely related species, and other useful statistics. In present this is useful application for microbial ecology and epidemiological survey. RiboPrinter system newly produced by DuPont is now focusing among microbiologists in the world, and is one of the biggest microbial characterization system using a DNA-based approach. The technology analyzer is bacterial culture for its genetic fingerprint or riboprint pattern. Finally Bio-cellTracer system for automatic measurement of fungal growth and Fukitori-Maseter, a Surface Hygiene Monitoring Kit by using swabe procedure in food processing environment are briefly illustrated in this presentation.

  • Kimchi cabbage is one of the four major vegetable crops in Korea. The total annual production of kimchi cabbage, the main material of kimchi, was 20,559 tons in 2015. Kimchi cabbage is one of the majer crops produced by farmers which accounts for about 80% of the total leaf vegetable production in Korea. As the consumption of environmental-friendly agricultural products increases, food safety is one of the major public health concerns. We analyzed the biological hazards of kimchi cabbage produced by two types of cultivation methos such as organic farming and conventional farming using various culture media and microscopy. A total of 432 samples were analysed for presence of sanitary indicator microorganisms (aerobic plate count, coliform count, yeast & mold) and food-borne pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, environmental Listeria, Bacillus cereus). The population of sanitary indicating microorganisms and food borne pathogens was under 5 Log CFU/g in all tested samples. The results of total microorganism numbers of leaf surface showed a positive correlation to those of soil samples. Additionally, we examined chemical factors such as pesticide residues and heavy metals in soil samples. All tested samples did not shown contamination levels higher than the standard limit.

  • The principal objective of this study is to determine the most appropriate methods to increase global recognition of Korean food. In service of this objective, interviews were conducted with Korean food specialists who worked for a Korean culinary educational institute in Seoul, as well as cooking experts who worked for restaurants in super deluxe hotels. The study was conducted for 10 days from Feb $21^{st}$ to March $2^{nd}$ in 2009. The results of the study were summarized and synthesized into some key opinions. First, one of the main concepts in Korean culinary education should involve the selection of a small group of the best members and training them to a world class level at a traditional HanOk style institute. Second, to establish a standard for trainee recruitment, we selected a group of members consisting of about 20 persons over the age of 18 years who had earned a degree or were scheduled to graduate from university chef training and had also worked for over 5 years in the field, additionally, foreigners were allowed to apply to the institute. The educational term is one year and some benefits, such as a fixed amount of subsidies to help in daily living, free dormitory housing a certificate of course completion, and an employment guarantee. Third, the educational program consisted of two stages one was the specialist course in which traditional foods were covered and the other was the menu development course, which dealt with the creation of new Korean foods. Fourth, unique programs, including specialized foreign foods experience halls or commission education, were instituted in an effort to raise the level of world recognition of the superiority of Korean food.

  • Today the company's brand sites are in tendency locating as a handy method to administrate company vision, value and image. So this study tried to examine the aspects of storytelling around Amore Pacific's brand site. To secure the discussion's centrality and concreteness, two issues are considered to be aimed in methodology. First, the menus of relevant site were examined to see if they are securing minimal narrative. This was an attempt to discuss the minimum narrativity that target text is supposed to possess, to objectify little more the term 'storytelling.' After considering the menus of relevant site through narratological ideas of Gerald Prince, the menus that satisfy the level of minimum narrative were hardly seen. Even 'OUR STORY', showing the intention of unraveling the vision and values within the company brand by stories, is not seemed to be reaching universal, objective storytelling. Second, pragmatic, reception theory were applied as another standard to judge storytelling possibilities of Amore Pacific's brand site. Roger C. Schank's script theory, being considered in the field of cognitive linguistics and cognitive psychology, became a handy tool for examining the interactions and its meaning between brand sites and its visitors. As a result, the relevant site could be seen as attempting storytelling following time sequence, through narrator kindly explaining 'visual image-event.' And it was conjecturable that, because of such function of narrator, visitors finishes storytelling in a personal shape by operating internal story based script. This study examined the level and methods of storytelling limited in online environment called as company brand site. But more studies are needed to be in progress, such as about the ways for company websites or brand sites to have an effective, continuous influence on potential consumers, narrator set-up ways suitable for character of subordinate menus, organizations of minimum narrative and so on.

  • Objectives: This study examined cancer knowledge, beliefs, and practice among faith-based Chinese in the USA versus Taiwan to gain better understandings on how environment and culture might play a role for tailored cancer education programs. Methods: A self-administered survey included a validated 10-item Cancer Screening Belief Scale (CSBS), an 8-item Cancer Screening Knowledge Test (CSKT), and a 14-item cancer Warning Signs Test (CWST) was administered. Participants were recruited from 9 Chinese churches (5 in the USA and 4 in Taiwan). Results: A total of 372 Chinese participated, 50% lived in the USA and 50% in Taiwan. Mean age was 44.31 (standard deviation, 14.74), 60% males, and majority had college education (85%). Taiwan participants scored higher on both CSKT (6.13 vs. 5.52; p<0.001) and CWST (6.80 vs. 5.38; p<0.001). Although perceived screening benefits and barriers were similar, Taiwan participants endorsed higher on screening norms (11.67 vs. 10.82; p<0.001). Taiwan participants also indicated more doctor recommending cancer screenings (42.1% vs. 29.6%; p=0.015), USA participants were more likely to have had annual health exams (65.4% vs. 48.9%; p=0.002). Regression results showed that those resided in the USA were 2.38 times more likely to report annual health exams. Married status (odds ratio [OR], 2.85), college education (OR, 2.38), doctor's recommendation (OR, 2.87), no family cancer history (OR, 2.47), and those with lower barriers were significant factors on annual health exams. Conclusions: Taiwan participants scored higher on cancer knowledge and screening norms, while more USA participants reported annual health exams. Taiwan's universal healthcare might play a role on the different healthcare seeking patterns.

  • Background: Although magnetic resonance imaging is accurate, it is expensive to measure the movement of temporomandibular joint. The three-dimensional (3D) motion analysis system is an inexpensive measurement tool. Objects: This study examined the reliability of quantifying the mouth opening and lateral mandibular shift and differences between individuals with and without temporomandibular disorder (TMD) using the hygienic method of surface markers on the skin with 3D ultrasound-based motion analysis. Methods: This study included 24 subjects (12 with and 12 without TMD). Temporomandibular joint motion during mouth opening was recorded using two surface markers with 3D ultrasound-based motion analysis. An intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC (3,k)] was used to confirm the intrarater reliability of quantifying kinematic temporomandibular joint motion, and an independent t-test was used to evaluate differences in maximal mouth opening and lateral mandibular shift between the two groups. Results: Assessment of mouth opening and lateral mandibular shift showed excellent test-retest reliability with low standard error of measurement. The lateral mandibular shift and opening-lateral mandibular shift ratio were significantly increased in the TMD group during maximum mouth opening (p<.05). However, no significant difference in maximal mouth opening was observed between the groups with and without TMD (p>.05). Conclusion: This hygienic and simple surface marker method can be used to quantify the mouth opening and lateral mandibular shift at the end-range of mouth opening. The TMD group showed an increased lateral mandibular shift movement at the end-range of mouth opening. The lateral mandibular shift movement can be regarded as a symptom in the diagnosis and treatment of TMD.

  • This study aims to analyze the style of men's suits and extract expressional words for the development of semantic differential scales of visual images according to the change in silhouette. Research methods are literature studies, case studies, and questionnaires. The stimuli were created using CLO 3D, a virtual sewing CAD. This study's results are as follows: 1) The British suit jacket has an angled shoulder line using thin pads, and a slightly higher waistline. The pants of the suit have a high waistline and two pleats, so the thighs of the pants are wide. The American suit jacket has a natural shoulder line, and the waistline is not emphasized. The width of the jacket is relaxed, and the length is long. The pants of the suit have a higher waistline, and the pants are wide as well. The Italian suit jacket has wide shoulders, and the waistline is connected lower with a soft curve, and the length is relatively short. The trousers of the suit are tapered and get narrower as it goes down to the hem. 2) Because it originated in the practices of true bespoke tailoring, traditional British suits have a far more 'fitted' silhouette than the mass-produced styles that became emblematic of the American style. By the late 1950s, a sack-style suit was standard American business attire. This technique gives the sack suit its characteristically 'boxy' silhouette. The "Continental" presented a highly tailored silhouette, with padded shoulders, a slim, tight-fitting chest, and a closely tapered waist. The story was that Italian culture valued aesthetics over all else and thus sought the 'slim' suit style as much as possible. 3) The main expressional words of visual images for men's suits differ greatly depending on the silhouette of suit. The visual images are ranked in the order of 'neat', 'classic', 'educated', 'hard', 'mature', for fitted silhouettes. The words of 'masculine', 'basic', 'comfortable', 'simple', 'mature', 'conservative', 'modern', are ranked for boxy silhouettes. And the words of 'slim', 'young', 'neat', are noted for slim silhouettes.

  • Purpose: This study compared infant mortality and its associated factors between Korean and immigrant women using vital statistics gathered by Statistics Korea. Methods: Birth and death statistics from the period between 2009 and 2019 were extracted from the census of population dynamics data of the Microdata Integrated Service, Korea. Statistical data were derived from a complete survey and infant mortality was analyzed from mortality statistics data. Descriptive statistics were used for comparison. Results: The average infant mortality rate (IMR) of Korean women was 2.7 in Korea, which did not change significantly between 2009 and 2019; however, the IMR of immigrant women increased significantly in 2018 to 4.2 and subsequently decreased to 2.6 in 2019. Moreover, the age of Korean and immigrant women at the time of infant death gradually increased from 31.1 years and 25.9 years in 2009 to 32.8 years and 30.9 years in 2019, respectively. The gestational age was lower for deceased infants born to immigrant women (mean, 31.04 weeks; standard deviation [SD], 6.42; median, 30.00) compared to infants born to Korean women (mean, 31.71 weeks; SD, 6.48; median, 32.00). Immigrant women (91.7%) received slightly fewer antenatal care visits compared to Korean women (93.1%). Conclusion: It is vital to devise a plan to lower the IMR of immigrant women in Korea. Moreover, it is necessary to explore the factors related to infant mortality among immigrant women within the context of Korean societal situation, culture, and home environment.
