디스크 질량 변화에 따른 철도차량용 제동디스크의 마찰 특성 (Influence of Disk Mass with regard to Frictional Characteristics of Brake Disk for Rolling Stock)

  • Low alloy heat resistant brake disk and sintered brake pad are applied to mechanical brake system for the speed-up of urban rapid transit. In this research, we analyzed how the frictional characteristics between brake disk and pad are influenced by the disk mass. At a high disk mass, the friction stability was the lower value as a result of the lack of tribofilm formation at the disk surface. Wear rates of friction materials showed the higher value at a low disk mass and wear rates of 10 mm and 15 mm showed the similar level. Average friction coefficient was the lower value at the 10 mm disk thickness and range of variation of average friction coefficient was also the smaller value at the 10 mm disk thickness. However, there were no significant changes in the friction coefficients under any of test conditions. Surface roughness of a disk showed the highest value at the 5 mm disk and surface roughnesses of 10 mm and 15 mm showed the similar level. As a result, friction characteristics of disk mass influenced the friction stability, as well as the wear rate of friction pad and disk, but not the friction coefficient.

  • The electrical properties and its stability of Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Tb-based varistors were investigated for different sintering temperatures. As the sintering temperatures increased, the varistor voltage decreased in the range of $705.2{\sim}299.1$ V/mm, the nonlinear coefficient decreased in the range of $42.4{\sim}31.7$, and the leakage current was in the range of $1.0{\sim}1.7\;{\mu}A$. The stability of electrical characteristics increased with the increase of sintering temperature. The varistors sintered at $1350^{\circ}C$ marked the high electrical stability, with $%\Delta$ $V_{1mA}=+0.1%,\;%\Delta{\alpha}=+3.2%$, and $%{\Delta}I_L=+117.6%$ for DC accelerated aging stress state of $0.95V_{1mA}/150^{\circ}C/24\;h$.

  • To evaluate the feasibility of transmucosal delivery of methionine enkephalin analog, [$D-Ala^2$]-me-thionine enkephalinamide (YAGFM), the influence of pH, temperature, ionic strength and initial peptide concentration on the physicochemical stability of YAGFM in aqueous buffered solutions were investigated using a stability-indicating HPLC method. The degradation of YAGFM followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics. From the pH-rate profile, the maximum stability of YAGFM was shown to be at the pH of about 5.0. The halflife for the degradation of YAGFM was found to be 181.3 days at pH 5.0 and $37^{\circ}C.$ Arrhenius plots of the data obtained at 25~$45^{\circ}C$ were reasonably linear with a correlation coefficient greater than 0.99, and the activation energy was calculated to be 8.9 kcal/mole. A higher ionic strength and/or a higher peptide concentration in buffered solutions retarded the degradation of YAGFM.

소결온도가 ZPCCL계 바리스터의 전기적, 유전적 안정성에 미치는 영향 (Sintering Temperature Effect on Electrical and Dielectric Stability of ZPCCL-Based Varistors)

  • The electrical, dielectric properties, and its stability of ZPCCL-based varistors were investigated for different sintering temperatures in the range of $1230{\sim}1300^{\circ}C$. As the sintering temperatures increased, the varistor voltage decreased in the range of $777.9{\sim}108$ V/mm, the nonlinear coefficient decreased in the range of $77.9{\sim}7.1$, and the leakage current increased in the range of $0.3{\sim}50.6\;{\mu}A$. The stability of electrical and dielectric characteristics was obtained from sintering temperature of $1260^{\circ}C$. the varistors sintered at $1260^{\circ}C$ marked the high electrical and dielectric stability, with $%{\Delta}{V_{1mA}=+1.9%,\;%{\Delta}{\alpha}=-10.6%,\;%{\Delta}I_L=+20%\;and\;%{\Delta}tan\;{\delta}=+9.9%$ for DC accelerated aging stress state of $0.95V_{1mA}/150^{\circ}C$/24 h.

On wind stability requirements for emergency car warning triangles

  • This work discusses the wind stability requirements specified by UN Reg. 27 on emergency car warning triangles, which are of mandatory use in many countries. Wind tunnel experiments have been carried out in order to determine aerodynamic coefficients of commercial warning triangles and the friction coefficients between the triangle legs and an asphalt base that fulfils the roughness requirements stated by Reg. 27 for wind stability certification. The wind stability specifications for warning triangles are reviewed, compared with pressure field measurements and discussed. Results of wind tunnel tests and comparison with field measurements reported in the literature show that the requirements could be excessively conservative.

건강기능식품 원료로서 작약감초복합추출물(EGHB010)의 안정성 평가 (Evaluation of Stability in a Combined Extract of Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix(EGHB010) as a Health Functional Food)

  • This study was designed to establish the stability of EGHB010, a combined hot water extract of Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix. Test of coliform groups, sensory evaluations, contents of moisture, and the amount of paeoniflorin and glycyrrhizin were determined during storage at 4, 25 and 35℃ for 6 months. Coliform groups were not observed and moisture contents were maintained about 3.0% during the storage period. Sensory characteristics including color, taste, texture and appearance were tested over 3 points throughout the entire storage period. It maintained the commercial value during the storage period. Contents of paeoniflorin and glycyrrhizin as indicator components were remained stably for the storage period. The shelf-life of EGHB010 based on a linear response to zero of sensory evaluation with the highest correlation coefficient was predicted. Finally, the shelf-life of EGHB010 was expected for about 3 years to consider in safety coefficient. The shelf-life data of EGHB010 can be used to develop a functional health ingredient.

목재의 치수안정성 개선을 위한 진공가압 멜라민 수지함침처리 (Vacuum Pressure Treatment of Water-Soluble Melamine Resin Impregnation for Improvement of Dimensional Stability on Softwoods)

  • 진공가압 수지함침 처리에 의한 목재의 치수안정화 정도를 측정하기 위하여 침엽수 3수종에 수용성 멜라민 수지를 수지농도와 처리시간별로 처리한 후, 수지함침 열압축목재(compreg)를 제조한 다음 치수안정성 개선효과를 검토하였다. 수지농도가 높고 처리시간이 길수록 용적 수축률과 항용적 팽윤율은 증가하였으나, 용적 팽윤율, 항용적 수축률 및 흡수성은 감소하였다. 또한 중량 증가율은 수지의 농도가 높을수록 현저히 증가하였으나 처리시간과는 일정한 관계가 없었다.

La2O3 Doped ZnO-Pr6O11계 바리스터 세라믹스의 전기적 성질 및 안정성 (Electrical Properties and Stability of La2O3 Doped ZnO-Pr6O11-Based Varistor Ceramics)

  • The varistor properties and DC accelerated aging characteristics of $ZnO-Pr_{6}O_{11}-CoO-Cr_{2}O_{3}$-based varistors were investigated at different $La_{2}O_3$ contents in the range of $0{\sim}2.0mol%$. The varistors doped with 0.5 mol% $La_{2}O_3$ exhibited good nonlinearity, with 81.6 in nonlinear coefficient. Increasing the $La_{2}O_3$ content further to 2.0 mol% caused the sintered density to increase, and the breakdown voltage and nonlinearity to decrease abruptly. The varistors with 0.5 mol% $La_{2}O_3$ exhibited the high electrical stability, with -1.14% in variation rate of breakdown voltage, -3.7% in variation rate of nonlinear coefficient, and +100% in variation rate of leakage current for specified DC accelerated aging stress condition (95% of breakdown voltage/$150^{\circ}C$/24 h).

Stability charts and reinforcement with piles in 3D nonhomogeneous and anisotropic soil slope

  • Soils are mostly nonhomogeneous and anisotropic in nature. In this study, nonhomogeneity and anisotropy of soil are taken into consideration by assuming that the cohesion increases with depth linearly and also varies with respect to direction at a particular point. A three-dimensional rotational failure mechanism is adopted, and then a three-dimensional stability analysis of slope is carried out with the failure surface in the shape of a curvilinear cone in virtue of the limit analysis method. A quasistatic approach is used to develop stability charts in nonhomogeneous and anisotropic soils. One can easily read the safety factors from the charts without the need for iterative procedures for safety factors calculation. The charts are of practical importance to prevent a plane failure in excavation slope whether it is physically constrained or not. Then the most suitable location of piles within the reinforced slope in nonhomogeneous and anisotropic soils is explored, as well as the interactions of nonhomogeneous and anisotropic coefficients on pile reinforcement effects. The results indicate that piles are more effective when they are located between the middle and the crest of the slope, and the nonhomogeneous coefficient as well as the anisotropic coefficient will not only influence the most suitable location for piles but also affect the calculated safety factor of existing reinforced slope. In addition, the two coefficients will interact with each other on the effect on slope reinforcement.

한약제제 백출(白朮)과 한약재 백출에 대한 HPLC 분석 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Herbal Prescription and the Herbal Substance of Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba by HPLC analysis)

  • Objectives : To verify the equivalence between Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba herbal prescription(HP-ARA) and Atractylodis Rhizoma Alba herbal sub stance(HS-ARA). Methods : Safety tests by microbial regulation and heavy metal analysis (total heavy metal, Pb, As) and a stability test by long term shelf test for HP-ARA according to notification of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety were carried out. Then, multi component profile of HP-ARA and HS -ARA were analyzed by HPLC. Results : The safety and stability of HP-ARA confirmed by several tests. Correlation coefficient of equivalence of HP-ARA and ARA-HS showed 0.992. Conclusion : Based on this result of equivalence between HP-ARA and HS-ARA, HP-ARA can substitute HS-ARA used to make herbal medicines (herbal decoction, pills and powder).
