The effects of austenitizing temperatures and times and cooling rate on the characteristics of continuous air cooling have been investigated for 0.3%C-Mn steels microalloyed with vanadium. Transformation start temperatures have been found to be measured from temperature-time curve directly obtained with continuous air cooling and to decrease with increasing austenitizing temperature, cooling rate and Mn contents. The coarsening behavior of austenite grain size has been measured to abnormally grow at $1050^{\circ}C$ and rapidly grow at $1200^{\circ}C$. It has been found that the volume fraction of pearlite was linealy proportional to the reciprocal square root of austenite grain size. The hardness has been measured to increase with increasing cooling rate up to $250^{\circ}C/min.$ and to remain relatively unchanged in the range of $250{\sim}400^{\circ}C/min.$ showing that hardness valves for steel with a higher Mn content increase more than those for steel with a lower Mn content. The impact property has been found to decrease with increasing of austenite grain size but does not linealy change with the reciprocal square root of austenite grain size.

The present study describes the methods and standards for the combustion stability assessment of a thrust chamber and a gas generator as parts of a liquid rocket engine. The first method uses a statistical approach through typical static combustion tests and the second one a dynamic assessment identifying decaying characteristics of pressure fluctuations excited by a pulse generating device. Based on accumulated test results, it is concluded that the maximal values for combustion stability are 3% of a chamber static pressure with a Root-Mean-Square value of pressure fluctuations, and 10 msec with a decay time.

This paper describes a calculation method of source level of a ship transient noise, which is one of the important elements for the ship detection. Aim of transient noise measurements is to evaluate of acoustic energy due to singular occurrence, which is therefore defined as non-periodic and short termed events like an attack periscope, a rudder and a torpedo door. In generally, in the case of randomly spaced impulse, the spectrum becomes a broadband random noise with no distinctive pattern. Therefore, frequency analysis is not particularly revealing for type of signal. In the paper, it is performed in time domain to analyze a transient noise. However, a source level of transient noise is required an investigation for multiple frequency band. So, in order to calculate a source level of transient noise, a design of exponential weighting function, convolution, band pass filtering, peak detection, root mean square, and parameter compensation are applied. The effectiveness of this calculation scheme is studied through computer simulations and a sea test. Furthermore, an application of the method is applied in a real case.

Due to the recent attack by Castryck-Decru, the private key of SIDH can be recovered in polynomial time so several methods have been proposed to prevent the attack. Among them, M-SIDH proposed by Fouotsa et al, counteracts the attack by masking the torsion point information during the key exchange. In this paper, we implement M-SIDH and evaluate its performance. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first implementation of M-SIDH in C language. Toward that end, we propose a method to select parameters for M-SIDH instantiation and propose a 1024-bit prime for implementation. We implemented the square-root Velu formula over the extension field for further optimization. As a result, 1129 ms is required for a key exchange in the case of MSIDH-1024, providing the classic 64-bit security level.
This paper examines characteristics of time series data related to the construction investment(stationarity and time series components such as secular trend, cyclical fluctuation, seasonal variation, and random change) and surveys predictibility, fitness, and explicability of independent variables of various models to build a short-term construction investment forecasting model suitable for current economic circumstances. Unit root test, autocorrelation coefficient and spectral density function analysis show that related time series data do not have unit roots, fluctuate cyclically, and are largely explicated by lagged variables. Moreover it is very important for the short-term construction investment forecasting to grasp time lag relation between construction investment series and leading indicators such as building construction permits and value of construction orders received. In chapter 3, we explicate 7 forecasting models; Univariate time series model (ARIMA and multiplicative linear trend model), multivariate time series model using leading indicators (1st order autoregressive model, vector autoregressive model and error correction model) and multivariate time series model using National Accounts data (simple reduced form model disconnected from simultaneous macroeconomic model and VAR model). These models are examined by 4 statistical tools that are average absolute error, root mean square error, adjusted coefficient of determination, and Durbin-Watson statistic. This analysis proves two facts. First, multivariate models are more suitable than univariate models in the point that forecasting error of multivariate models tend to decrease in contrast to the case of latter. Second, VAR model is superior than any other multivariate models; average absolute prediction error and root mean square error of VAR model are quitely low and adjusted coefficient of determination is higher. This conclusion is reasonable when we consider current construction investment has sustained overheating growth more than secular trend.

In this paper we propose and analyze a novel modulation and pre-equalization method to minimize signal processing time delay for the Equalization Digital On-Channel Repeater (EDOCR) in ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) terrestrial digital TV system. The proposed modulation method uses Equi-Ripple (ER) filter coefficients instead of conventional Square Root Raised Cosine (SRRC) after coefficients for VSB (Vestigial Side Bands) pulse shaping. And the proposed pre-equalization method calculates pre-equalizer filter coefficients by using baseband signal as reference signal and demodulated repeater output signal, then generates a new VSB pulse shaping filter coefficients by convolutioning ER filter coefficients and pre-equalizer filter coefficients. The newly generated pulse shaping filter does not have minimized time delay by adjusting the number of pre-taps of the filter, but also compensates linear distortions caused by ER filter and mask filter.
To know the bonding phenomena of Ti/Cu brazed joint, a characteristic of microstructures in bonding interlayer of vacuum brazed pure Ti to Cu has been studied in the temperature range from 1088 to 1133K for various bonding times using Ag-28wt%Cu filler metal. Also intermediate phases formed in bonded interlayer and behavior of layer growth have been investigated. The obtained results in this study are as follows: 1) Liquid insert metal width at the each brazing temperature was proportional to the square root of brazing time, and it was considered that the liquid insert metal width was controlled by the diffusion rate process of primary .alpha.-Cu formed at the Ti side. 2) Intermediate phases formed near the Ti interface were .betha.-Ti and intermetallic compounds TiCu, Ti$_{2}$Cu, Ti$_{3}$Cu, and TiCu. 3) .betha.-Ti formed in Ti base metal durig brazing transformed to lamellar structure, .alpha.-Ti + Ti$_{2}$Cu. The structure came from the eutectoil decomposition reaction in cooling. And the width of .betha.-Ti layer was proportional to the square root of brazing time, and it was considered that the growth of .betha.-Ti layer was controlled by interdiffusion rate process in .betha.-Ti. 4) The layer growth of TiCu, Ti$_{3}$Cu$_{4}$ and TiCu, phases formed near the Ti interface was linerface was linearly proportional to the brazing time, and it was considered that the layer growth of these phases was controlled by the chemical reaction rate at the interface.

Purpose : This study investigates the effects on balanced ability and ankle joint muscle following balance pad and trampoline training periods in order to report a clinical directing about this matter. Methods : A total of nine members participated in a balance training program that put a balance pad and trampoline to use. Participants trained three times a week for thirty minutes in groups of six. Resting time was set for two minutes. EMG (median frequency and root mean square) was used to measure muscle activity at 3 weeks and 6 weeks, respectively. The tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles were measured. Participants were measured with eyes open and closed. Results : The median frequency showed a significant difference according to the change in time in both muscles. Also, results showed a significant interaction between eyes open and closed in the gastrocnemius muscle. The root mean square only showed a significant difference according to the change in time in the gastrocnemius muscle. Conclusion : We suggest that the balance pad and trampoline training influence a decrease in the recruitment rate of slow twitch muscles through an improvement in balance ability; however, the training did not show a statistically significant difference with regards to eyes open and closed.

Accurate response analysis of long span bridges subjected to seismic excitation is important for earthquake hazard mitigation. In this paper, the performance of a typical four span continuous reinforced concrete bridge model subjected to asynchronous multiple seismic excitations at the supports is investigated in both the time and frequency domains and the results are compared with that from a relevant uniform support excitations. In the time domain analysis, a linear modal superposition approach is used to compute the peak response values. In the frequency domain analysis, linear random vibration theory is used to determine the root mean square response values where the cross correlation effects between the modal and the support excitations on the seismic response of the bridge model are included. From the two sets of results, a practical range of peak factors which are defined to be the ratio of peak and the root mean square responses are suggested for displacements and forces in members. With reliable practical values of peak factors, the frequency domain analysis is preferred for the performance based design of bridges because of the computational advantage and the generality of the results as the time domain analysis only yields results for the specific excitation input.
In underwater signal processing, separating individual signals from mixed signals has long been a challenge due to low signal quality. The common method using Short-time Fourier transform for spectrogram analysis has faced criticism for its complex parameter optimization and loss of phase data. We propose a Triple-path Recurrent Neural Network, based on the Dual-path Recurrent Neural Network's success in long time series signal processing, to handle three-dimensional tensors from multi-channel sensor input signals. By dividing input signals into short chunks and creating a 3D tensor, the method accounts for relationships within and between chunks and channels, enabling local and global feature learning. The proposed technique demonstrates improved Root Mean Square Error and Scale Invariant Signal to Noise Ratio compared to the existing method.
