태양에너지를 이용한 수소제조 (Hydrogen Production by Water Splitting with Solar Energy)

  • 다양한 수소에너지의 생산방법 중에서 진정으로 청정하고 지속가능한 유일한 기술이 물로부터 수소를 획득하는 태양-수소제조 시스템이다. 태양에너지를 활용한 물로부터 수소생산 연구는 1979년 일본 동경대학의 Honda와 Fujishima 교수의 광전기화학적 방법이 성공적으로 제시된 이래로 매우 많은 연구가 진행되어 오고 있다. 이러한 관심은 가시광 광촉매 제조, 광전기화학전지 등의 개발을 유발하였으며, 융합기술의 하나인 바이오-광촉매 복합시스템 구성 등의 연구를 도출시켰다. 본 고에서는 이들 태양의 광에너지를 직접 활용한 물분해 수소생산 기술을 소개하였으나 태양열을 이용한 수소 제조기술은 포함시키지 않았다.

Experimental behavior and shear bearing capacity calculation of RC columns with a vertical splitting failure

  • The behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) columns made from high strength materials was investigated experimentally. Six high-strength concrete specimen columns (1:4 scale), which included three with high-strength transverse reinforcing bars and three with normal-strength transverse reinforcement, were tested under double curvature bending load. The effects of yielding strength and ratio of transverse reinforcement on the cracking patterns, hysteretic response, shear strength, ductility, strength reduction, energy dissipation and strain of reinforcement were studied. The test results indicated that all specimens failed in splitting failure, and specimens with high-strength transverse reinforcement exhibited better seismic performance than those with normal-strength transverse reinforcement. It also demonstrated that the strength of high-strength lateral reinforcing bars was fully utilized at the ultimate displacements. Shear strength formula of short concrete columns, which experienced a splitting failure, was proposed based on the Chinese concrete code. To enhance the applicability of the model, it was corroborated with 47 short concrete columns selected from the literature available. The results indicated that, the proposed method can give better predictions of shear strength for short columns that experienced a splitting failure than other shear strength models of ACI 318 and Chinese concrete codes.

서방형제제 분할처방에 대한 건강보험심사제도의 효과와 장애요인 (Impact and Barriers of the Health Insurance Review on Splitting Extended-Release Formulation Drugs)

  • Health insurance review & Assessment service (HIRA) has enforced cutting the drug costs when physicians prescribe split extended release drugs, starting from December, 2010. The objective of this study is to analyze extended release and enteric coated drugs on pharmaceutical reimbursement list in Korea, and to investigate the impact and barriers of the health insurance review on splitting extended-release formulation drugs. By using the ingredient code, extended release and enteric coated formulations make up 7.8% of all drugs in April, 2011. The most frequently used drugs are agent affecting circulatory and digestive system. From the extended release and enteric coated formulations (n=112), 34.8% (n=39) were not available in other dosage forms. According to questionnaire survey for 169 pharmacists (response rate: 73.8%), the rate of splitting and crushing of extended release and enteric coated drugs decreased. When pharmacists correct physician's prescription errors, the biggest problem was lack of other dosage forms. So it is necessary to develop variety of other dosage forms, and computerized checking system for splitting extended-release drugs. It is also important to inform physicians and patients in regard to the problems of split prescription of extended release and enteric coated drugs.

좁은 치조골에 변형된 치조능 분할술/확장술을 이용한 임플란트 동시 식립 : 3 가지 증례보고 (Simultaneous Implant Placement with Modified Ridge Splitting/Expansion Technique in the Narrow Edentulous Alveolar Ridge : 3 Cases Report)

  • The modified ridge splitting/expansion technique combined with guided bone regeneration (GBR) for implant surgery is used to expand the narrow and atrophied edentulous alveolar ridge. Also, the simultaneous implant placement after ridge splitting/expansion technique can reduce the treatment and healing time. This case report includes three patients with a narrow edentulous alveolar ridge of the 2 to 4mm. All three patients underwent a fracture of thin buccal cortical bone plate, and these defects were corrected by the use of the guided bone regeneration (GBR). After 7 to 18 months, all surgical area was stable, and all implant showed a good healing state on the clinical and radiographic examination. In conclusion, though this surgical method is technique sensitive, the modified ridge splitting/expansion technique combined with GBR for implant surgery is recommended for a horizontal augmentation in the narrow edentulous alveolar ridge.

거친표면 GFRP 보강근의 쪼갬부착파괴강도 및 거동 고찰 (Bond Splitting Strength and Behavior of GFRP Reinforcement with Roughened Surface)

  • 본 연구는 거친 표면을 갖는 GFRP 보강근의 쪼갬에 의한 부착파괴 거동과 파괴강도를 인발실험을 통해 규명하였다. 실험변수로서, 보강근의 직경, 콘크리트 피복 및 콘크리트 압축강도에 대하여 실험을 수행하였으며, 동일한 변수에 대하여 5개의 실험 결과를 평균하여 실험에 대한 오차를 최소화 하였다. 또한 쪼갬에 의한 부착파괴거동을 인발력과 변위결과로부터 고찰하였다. 쪼갬부착파괴강도 결과는 여러 연구자가 제안한 이형철근 및 FRP 보강근의 쪼갬부착파괴강도 평가모델식과 비교하였다. 분석결과, 거친표면을 갖는 GFRP 보강근의 쪼갬부착파괴강도는 Harajli 등(1995)이 제안한 모델을 이용하여 가장 근사하게 평가할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Estimation of splitting tensile strength of modified recycled aggregate concrete using hybrid algorithms

  • Recycling concrete construction waste is an encouraging step toward green and sustainable building. A lot of research has been done on recycled aggregate concretes (RACs), but not nearly as much has been done on concrete made with recycled aggregate. Recycled aggregate concrete, on the other hand, has been found to have a lower mechanical productivity compared to conventional one. Accurately estimating the mechanical behavior of the concrete samples is a most important scientific topic in civil, structural, and construction engineering. This may prevent the need for excess time and effort and lead to economic considerations because experimental studies are often time-consuming, costly, and troublous. This study presents a comprehensive data-mining-based model for predicting the splitting tensile strength of recycled aggregate concrete modified with glass fiber and silica fume. For this purpose, first, 168 splitting tensile strength tests under different conditions have been performed in the laboratory, then based on the different conditions of each experiment, some variables are considered as input parameters to predict the splitting tensile strength. Then, three hybrid models as GWO-RF, GWO-MLP, and GWO-SVR, were utilized for this purpose. The results showed that all developed GWO-based hybrid predicting models have good agreement with measured experimental results. Significantly, the GWO-RF model has the best accuracy based on the model performance assessment criteria for training and testing data.

  • It is important to solve the large sparse linear system appeared in many application field such as $AA^Ty={\beta}$ efficiently. In solving this linear system, the sparse solver using the splitting method for the relatively dense column is experimentally better than the direct solver using the Cholesky method.

  • Let $f:M{\rightarrow}M$ be a diffeomorphism of a compact smooth manifold M. In this paper, we show that $C^1$ generically, if a chain transitive set ${\Lambda}$ is locally maximal then it admits a dominated splitting. Moreover, $C^1$ generically if a chain transitive set ${\Lambda}$ of f is locally maximal then it has zero entropy.

  • In this paper, a preconditioned mixed-type splitting iterative method for solving the linear systems Ax = b is presented, where A is a Z-matrix. Then we also obtain some results to show that the rate of convergence of our method is faster than that of the preconditioned AOR (PAOR) iterative method and preconditioned SOR (PSOR) iterative method. Finally, we give one numerical example to illustrate our results.

  • The computational speed of interior point method of linear programming depends on the speed of Cholesky factorization. If the coefficient matrix A has dense columns then the matrix A.THETA. $A^{T}$ becomes a dense matrix. This causes Cholesky factorization to be slow. We study an efficient implementation method of the dense column splitting among dense column resolving technique and analyze the relation between dense column splitting and order methods to improve the sparsity of Cholesky factoror.
