An efficient unbalance response analysis method for rotor-bearing systems with spin speed dependent parameters is developed by utilizing a generalized modal analysis scheme. The spin speed dependent eigenvalue problem of the original system is transformed into the spin speed independent eigenvalue problem by introducing a lambda matrix, assuming the bearing dynamic coefficients are well approximated by polynomial functions of spin speed. This method features that it requires far less computational effort in unbalance response calculations and that the influence coefficients are readily available. In addition, the critical speeds and the corresponding logarithmic decrements can be readily identified from the resulting eigenvalues.
Spin dependent tunneling has enormously activated the field of magnetism in general, and in particular spin transport studies, in the past ten years. Thousands of articles related to the subject have appeared with many fundamental results. Importantly, there is great interest in their potential for application. There was another surge of activity in this field since the past five years - created by the theoretical prediction of a large tunnel magnetoresistance that arises due to band symmetry matched coherent tunneling in epitaxial magnetic tunnel junctions with (001) MgO barrier and experimentally well demonstrated. This further development in the field has boosted the excitement in both fundamental science as well as the possibility of application in such as magnetic random access memory, ultra sensitive read heads, biosensors and spin torque diodes. This review is a brief coverage of the field highlighting the literature that deals with magnetic tunnel junctions having epitaxial MgO tunnel barriers.

Creating a new spin-based electronics (often called "spin-electronics" or "spintronics") is one of the hot topics in the current solid-state physics and electronics research. In order to utilize the spin degree of freedom in solids, particularly in semiconductors the current electronics is based on, we need to fabricate appropriate materials, understand and control the spin-dependent phenomena. In this ta1k, I will review the recent deve1opments of epitaxial ferromagnetic hetero structures based on semiconductors towards spintronics. This includes the semiconductor materials and hetero structures having high ferromagnetic transition temperature (III-V based alloy magnetic semiconductors, Mn-delta-doped magnetic semiconductors, and related heterostructures), spin-dependent transport and tunneling, and their device applications (tunneling magnetoresistance devices and three-terminal devices). Future issues and prospects will be also discussed.

Spin dependent transport was investigated in lateral $Py(Ni_{81}Fe_{19})/Au/Py$ spin valve devices. Clear spin valve effect was observed in conventional four-terminal measurement geometry. Higher resistance was found in antiparallel magnetization field of two Py electrodes which is determined by anisotropy magnetoresistance (AMR) measurements. The rectangular shape of spin signal together with good agreement of switching field convinces observed spin valve signal is resulted from effective spin injection and detection. The magnetoresistance ratio decays exponentially with channel length by which spin diffusion length of Au channel was estimated to be 76 nm.
Comprehensive numerical computations are made of a homogenous spin-up in a cylindrical cavity with a time-dependent rotation rate. Numerical solutions are acquired to the governing axisymmetric cylindrical Navier-Stokes equation. A rotation rate formula is ${\Omega}_f={\Omega}_i+{\Delta}{\Omega}(1-{\exp}(-t/t_c))$. If $t_c$ is large, it implies that a rotation change rate is small. The Ekman number, E, is set to $10^{-4}$ and the aspect ratio, R/H, fixed to I. For a linear spin-up(${\epsilon}<<$), the major contributor to spin-up in the interior is not viscous-diffusion term but inviscid term, especially Coriolis term, though $t_c$ is very large. The viscous-diffusion term only works near sidewall. But for spin-up from rest, when $t_c$ is very large, viscous-diffusion term affects interior area as well as sidewall, initially. So azimuthal velocity of interior for large $t_c$ appears faster than that of interior for relatively small $t_c$. However, the viscous-diffusion term of interior decreases as time increases. Instead, inviscid term appears in the interior.

SPIN90 was identified to farm molecular complex with $\betaPIX$, WASP and Nck. This complex shows that SPIN90 interacts with Nck in a manner dependent upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix, but $SPIN90{\cdot}{\beta}PIX{\cdot}WASP$ complex was stable even in suspended cells. This suggests that SPIN90 serves as an adaptor molecule to recruit other proteins to Nck at focal adhesions. SPIN90 was phosphorylated by ERK1, which was, itself, activated by cell adhesion and platelet-derived growth factor. Such phosphorylation of SPIN90 likely promotes the interaction of the $SPIN90{\cdot}{\beta}PIX{\cdot}WASP$ complex and Nck. It thus appears that the interaction of the $SPIN90{\cdot}{\beta}PIX{\cdot}WASP$ complex with Nck is crucial for stable cell adhesion and can be dynamically modulated by SPIN90 phosphorylation that is dependent on cell adhesion and ERX activation. SPIN90 directly binds syndapin I, syndapin isoform II-1 and II-s via its PRD region in vitro, in vivo and also associates with endocytosis core components such as clathrin and dynamin. In neuron and fibroblast, SPIN90 colocalizes with syndapins as puntate form, consistent with a role for SPIN90 in clathrin-mediated endocytosis pathway. Overexpression of SPIN90 N-term inhibits receptor-mediated endocytosis. Interestingly, SPIN90 PRD, binding interface of syndapin, significantly blocks internalization of transferrin, demonstrating SPIN90 involvement in endocytosis in vivo by interacting syndapin. Depletion of endogenous SPIN90 by introducing $\alpha-SPIN90$ also blocks receptor-mediated endocytosis. Actin polymerization could generate farce facilitating the pinch-out event in endocytosis, detach newly formed endocytic vesicle from the plasma membrane or push out them via the cytosol on actin tails. Here we found that SPIN90 localizes to high actin turn over cortical area, actin-membrane interface and membrane ruffle in PDGF treated cells. Overexpression of SPIN90 has an effect on cortical actin rearrangement as filopodia induction and it is mediated by the Arp2/3 complex at cell periphery. Consistent with a role in actin organization, CFP-SPIN90 present in actin comet tail generated by PIP5 $kinase\gamma$ overexpression. Therefore this study suggests that SPIN90 is functional linker between endocytosis and actin cytoskeleton.

This paper presents the vibration analysis of a deploying beam with spin when the beam has a time-dependent spinning speed. In the previous studies for the deploying beams with spin, the spinning speed was time-independent. However, it is more reasonable to consider the time-dependent spinning speed. The present study introduces the time-dependent spinning speed in the modeling. The Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and von Karman nonlinear strain theory are used together to derive the equations of motion. After the equations of motion are transformed into the weak forms, the weak forms are discretized. The natural frequency and dynamic response are obtained. The effect of the time-dependent spinning speed on the dynamic response is studied.
Spin dependent tunneling (SDT) junction devices of Ta/NiFe/Ta/NiFe/FeMn/NiFe/AlOx/CoFe/NiFe/Al with in-situ naturally oxidized Al barrier were fabricated using ion beam deposition and dc sputtering in UHV chamber of 10$^{-9}$ Torr. The maximum tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) and the product resistance by junction (R$_{j}$ A) are 16-17% and 50-60 $\Omega$${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$$^2$, respectively. The values of TMR and (R$_{j}$ A) with field annealing were slightly increased. The TMR and (R$_{j}$ A) dependence versus the junction area size was observed. These results were explained by using sheet resistance effect of bottom electrode and spin channel effects.
In this paper, the spin-up from rest to a state of solid-body rotation in a circular container with a slender rectangular obstacle on the bottom wall is analysed experimentally. We use a PIV method for the evolution of the free-surface flow. Laboratory experiments have been carried out for a variety of the obstacle height h(0, 5, 10 [mm]) and the liquid depth H(25, 50, 75, 100 [mm]). It was found that the spin-up time is crucially dependent on the obstacle height T. In the case of T=10[mm] the spin-up time is considerably shorter then the other cases.
