선박용 디젤 기관의 순간 각속도와 토크 변동에 관한 연구 (A study on an instantaneous angular velocity and torque fluctuation for marine diesel engine)

  • 2013년 1월 1일 이후 발효된 선박 에너지효율관리계획(SEEMP) 규정에 따라 선박에서는 점차 에너지관리에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있다. 이에 따라, 선박의 에너지 사용에 가장 많은 부분을 차지하는 주기관의 연료 사용량 및 출력과 관련된 요소들이 엄격하게 모니터링 되어 질 필요가 있다. 현재 주기관 출력을 모니터링 및 확인하기 위한 많은 장치들이 개발되어 적용되고 있으나 본 연구에서는 저렴하고 장치가 쉬운 각도센서인 엔코더(encoder)를 이용하여 주기관의 출력상태를 실시간으로 파악하기 위한 실험을 하였다. 실제 운항 중인 두 선박의 주기관에서 엔코더와 근접센서를 이용하여 한 사이클 동안의 각속도 변동을 계측하고 이 데이터 값을 토크 변동으로 계산하여 주기관의 토크변동 상태를 조사하였다. 또한, 실린더의 이상 연소 시 발생하는 각속도 변화를 측정하여 착화 실패에 따른 토크 변동을 조사하고 실험의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 해상시운전 데이터와 비교하였다. 본 연구를 통해 저렴한 장치를 이용하여 실시간 출력상태를 파악할 수 있었다.

신조선에서 연료탄소로부터의 $CO_2$ 배출 특성 ([$CO_2$] Emission from Carbon of Marine Fuel Oil in New Ships)

  • 본 연구는 선박에서 배출되는 배기가스의 농도 측정, 연소효율 평가와 국제해사기구에서 권장하는 인덱싱 방법의 검토를 통해 이산화탄소 규제관련 대응전략 수립을 위한 기초자료 확보에 목적을 둔다. 평가된 평균 연소효율은 새 엔진의 경우 98%, 신조선의 경우 96.5%로 조사되었다. 연소효율은 엔진 및 선박의 노후로 점점 감소할 것으로 예상되며, 연소효율이 높으면 배기가스 중에 이산화탄소의 농도가 증가하고 연소효율이 낮으면 불완전연소 생성물의 방출이 증가되기 때문에 문제가 된다. 유해 오염물질을 방출하지 않고 가장 효율적으로 이산화탄소를 제어하기 위해 연료 대체, 연료 저소모 엔진 개발 및 경제적 선속 유지를 위한 해운사간 협조가 필요할 것이다. 국제해사기구의 인덱싱 방법을 검토한 결과, 보다 실제에 가까운 이산화탄소 배출량을 산출하기 위해서는 사용 연료의 탄소 함량을 조사하고 국제해사기구의 권장 수치와 비교하여 지수화 작업을 진행하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났다.

플라스틱 DVD-Tray의 박막 사출성형을 위한 최적화 설계 Simulation에 관한 연구 (Study on the design optimization of injection-molded DVD-Tray parts using CAE Simulation)

  • 사출성형은 다양한 형태의 제품을 대량 생산할 수 있는 플라스틱 성형 공법중의 하나이다. 플라스틱 제품을 만들기 위해서는 고상의 재료를 액상으로 녹인 후 다시 고상으로 굳히는 과정을 거치는 데, 이 과정 중에 많은 문제점들이 발생을 하게 된다. 과거에는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 성형 후 금형 설계 변경 등의 시행착오적 방법을 사용하였으나, 성형과정에 대한 사출성형 CAE(Computer Aided Engineering)를 적용함으로써, 사전에 문제점을 파악하는 기술이 도입되었다. 플라스틱 제품의 큰 문제점 중 하나가 치수안정성이다. 특히 박막사출성형품은 게이트의 위치, 냉각채널과 온도에 따라서 변형량이 크게 달라진다. 본 연구에서는 현재 Stackmold방식으로 4개의 Cavity에 4개의 Hot-Runner가 설치된 금형을 통해 생산중인 DVD Tray 박막사출제품의 생산 원가 절감을 위해서 Cavity하나에 한 개의 Hot-Runner를 설계하기 위해서 CAE 해석을 통해 게이트의 위치, 냉각채널과 온도에 따라 비교하여 해석해 최적의 제품 설계를 하였다. CAE 해석에는 상업화된 CAE 프로그램인 Moldflow를 사용하였고, 수지는 PC+ABS를 사용하였다.

내리막 보행시 발 전족부 부착형 아웃솔의 각도 변화가 척추기립근과 하지근의 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Angle Change of the Forefoot's Adhesive Outsole Designs on the Electromyographic Activity of the Erector Spinae and Selected Lower Limb Muscles during Downhill Walking)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of angle change of forefoot's adhesive outsole on the electromyographic activity (EMG) of the erector spinae and selected lower limbs muscle during downhill walking over $-20^{\circ}$ ramp. Thirteen male university students (age: $25.4{\pm}3.9$ yrs, height: $176.2{\pm}5.1$ cm, weight: $717.4{\pm}105.0$ N) who have no musculoskeletal disorder were recruited as the subjects. To assess the myoelectric activities of selected muscles, six of surface EMG electrodes with on-site pre-amplification circuitry were attached to erector spinae (ES), rectus femoris (RF), biceps femoris (BF), tibialis anterior (TA), lateral gastrocnemius (LG), and medial gastrocnemius (MG). To obtain maximum EMG levels of the selected muscles for normalization, five maximum effort isometric contraction were performed before the experimental trials. Each subject walked over $0^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$ ramp with three different forefeet's EVA outsole (0, 10, $20^{\circ}$) in random order at a speed of $1.2{\pm}0.1$ m/s. For each trial being analyzed, five critical instants and four phases were identified from the recording. The results of this study showed that the average muscle activities of MG and LG decreased in $20^{\circ}$ shoes compared to $0^{\circ}$ and $10^{\circ}$ ones in the initial double limb stance (IDLS). In initial single limb stance (ISLS) phase, the average muscle activities of ES increased with the angle of forefoot's adhesive outsole, indicating that the increment of shoes' angle induce upper body to flex anteriorly in order to maintain balance of trunk. In terminal double limb stance (TDLS) phase, average muscle activities of TA significantly increased in $20^{\circ}$ outsole compared to $0^{\circ}$ and $10^{\circ}$ ones. There was no external forces acting on the right foot other than the gravity during terminal single limb stance (TSLS) phase, all muscles maintained moderate levels of activity.

양궁 백 텐션 국면에서 최우수 양궁선수의 동작특성 평가 (Evaluation on Motion Features of the World's Second Archer during Back-Tension in Archery)

  • It has been reported that Back-Tension played a significant role in archery (Lee & Bondit, 2005; Kim, 2007) but there are a few researches related Back-Tension in Korea recently. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate archery back tension technique for the second ranked archer in the World and to find ways to improve performance. A subject(height: 185cm, mass: 82kg, years: 21yrs, careers: 12yrs) who is a number of national team and the second ranked archer in the World authorized by FITA (Federation Internationale de Trial Arc) was perticipated in this experiment. When shooting 60 shots($12{\times}5$), shooting motions were recorded with 7 infrared cameras and 2 ultrahigh-speed cameras. A QTM and an Auto Track were used to acquire raw data. The sampling rates of both cameras were 200 Hz. and 1000 Hz. respectively and data were filtered using a fourth order Butterworth low pass filtering with a cutoff-frequency of 30Hz. The parameters were calculated with Matlab6.5 and analyzed with SPSS11.0. After Pearson's correlations between 8 parameters were analyzed, 5 parameters from 13parameters that affected records were analyzed with multiple regression analysis (Enter order: x1, x2, x3, x4, x5). The results were as follows: 1. Comparing between parameters according to scores, the patterns of horizontal and vertical angular velocity(av.) of scapular relative angle was different between 8 score and 9 or 10 scores. 2. The correlations of parameters that affected records were a horizontal av.(x1, p=.032<.05) and a vertical av.(x3, p=.033<.05) of scapular from release to delivery in KB back-tension (anchoring-delivery). 3. The decision coefficients(R2) of above two parameters and three parameters selected by experts that may affect record, that is, an absolute trunk angle(x4) from in KKC back-tension (anchoring-release) and a horizontal relative scapular angle(x2) and an absolute trunk angle(x5) from release to delivery in KB back-tension were 7.7%(x1), 0.1%(x2), 8.5%(x3), 0.7%(x4) and 0.9%(x5) in sequence. 4. The multiple regression equation was a y= -1.16E-2 x1 + 0.109 x2 + 3.437E-2 x3 + 6.139E-2 x4 + 0.117 x5 + 3.420 In conclusion, a total contribution was low, that is, R2(17.9%) suggested that on the one hand, Lim's motion may not depend on a certain factor because his postural factors affected shooting motion are some stable on the other hand, unknown factors may exist(e.g. psychological, physiological factors etc.). Further study of EMG patterns of muscles and anatomic consideration related to shoulder girdle and scapular bones may help to identify mechanism of Back-Tension.

키네시오 테이프의 장력 차이가 젊은 대학생들의 발목 근력, 관절가동범위 및 균형에 미치는 영향 (Effect of tension difference of kinesio tape applied to the tibialis anterior muscle on muscle strength, joint range of motion, and balance of the ankle joint in young college students)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of differences in the tension of Kinesio tape applied to the tibialis anterior muscle on muscle strength, joint range of motion and balance of ankle joint in young adults. Design: Randomized Controlled Trial. Methods: 41 young college students participated in this study. And the subjects were allocated randomly to two group. The experimental group had a tension difference (10%G, n=20). And there was no difference in tension in the control group (0%G, n=21). Jtech power track II, goniometer, and Biorescue were used to measure muscle strength, joint range of motion and balance. The paired t-test was performed to examine the differences within the groups before and after taping, and the independent t-test was performed to examine the differences between the groups. Result: 1) As a result of measuring muscle strength of each group, all measurements except 0%G of plantar flexion showed insignificant results. 2) Measurement of joint range of motion each group showed that neither 0%G nor 10%G was significant. 3) As a result of measuring the baladncing ability of each group there was a significant decrease in length, and average speed of the balancing capability (p<.05). 4) Comparisons between groups showed significant differences in the area among balance capability (p<.05). Conclusions: Based on these findings, the tension difference of Kinesio tape applied to the tibialis anterior muscle shows little effect on the muscle strength, range of motion, and balance of ankle joints. Given the current lack of research on the tension of kinesio tapes many studies are needed in the future to establish clear theories.

한국수출산업을 위한 산업디자인 개선에 관한 연구 -시각.공예.제품디자인을 중심으로-

  • The Design Society of Korea. It is our urgent task that we should map out our detailed guiedlines for the improvement of export-oriented industries and of the design of export goods in preparation for our export goal of $30 billion in the upcoming 1980s. The government, university design researchers, and most entrepreneurs have confronted diverse kinds of racking issues: how much do most export industries take advantage of the indus-trial design for the improvement of the quality of export goods\ulcorner, structural defects of most export industries, chronic and vicious cycle of overlooking the value of the industrial design in the process of manufacturing export goods and etc. In other words, the recent trend of slighting the industrial design is to speed up the sales of only unsophisticated goods on the international markets. Although Koreans have been plagued by scantiness of natural resources under these circumstances, most Korean people have showed off their strong will for today's growth. Furthermore, most exporters should do their best to sweep overseas markets by manufacturing sophisticated goods outranking those commodi-ties made by the United States, Japan, West Germany and the other developed countries. In this respect, we have to make our best efforts for the expensive application and practical use of the industrial design, one of the comprehensive sciences, in the face of the hard realities and conditions which we have confronted until now. For example, it can be attributed to the practical application of the industrial design that the neighboring Japan, West Germany, France, the United Kingdom in Europe, and the United States in North America have formulated a highly advan-ced cultural zone and braced up for their own trade protection-ism and tightened their embargoes on EEC goods. Unless any export goods take the best advantage of the industrial design, one of the behavioral sciences capable of satisfying the material mental needs of modern men and of promoting cultural growth, I am convinced that they will not infiltrate into any countries that have enjoyed their own highly cultural lives. It is absolutely important that most Korean universities, state-run, private corporations and research institutes should work out the improvement strategy for the development and practical use of the industrial design as will as the revision of the present curricula of the departments of design. However, most design researchers have come to grips with several difficult problems such as the correlation of export oriented industries and the industrial design and the development of the design of export goods. The improvement of the industrial design is our urgent assignment that we have to solve in the 1980s. Accordimgly, I cannot too much emphasize the value the recognition of the industrial design in our industrial communities because we have never witnessed the prosperity of those countries which have taken little notice of the importance of the industrial design. Hopefully, most entrepreneurs will take much consideration of the value of the industrial design and then can defeat their rival businessmen on the international markets by exporting goods of highly sophisticated design. In this respect, the main purpose of the research paper which this society presented is to underline the fact that the improvement and development of the industrial design is our common assignment to be studied from the viewpoints of national dimension as well as in conformity with our immediate goal for the export-oriented prosperity of state. In conclusion, I would like to highlight the fact that our export goods shall be continually developed in pace with the correlative improvement of the indudtrial design so as to pave the way for their bright prospect and to enhance their best impression of the first-class goods on the international markets.

항공 사고에서의 과실 이론 - 일본 항공 사고 판례를 중심으로 - (Negligence theory of Aviation accident with reference to the japanese aviation accident precedent)

  • 현재 민간 항공기의 기술 수준은 일반인들, 그리고 비행기의 선구자인 라이트 형제조차 상상하지 못할 만큼 발전되어 있다. 초기 조종사들과 달리 오늘 날의 조종사들은 항법사, 통신사, flight engineer 등 3명을 대신한 Flight Control Computer(FCC)등의 computer 탑재 장비들을 이용하여 안전하게 운항, 착륙할 수 있다. 그러나 불행하게도 이러한 최첨단의 항공기에서도 사고가 발생하고 있으며 대부분의 원인은 인간의 실수에서 기인한다. 조종사가 치명적인 실수를 하게 되는 이유 중의 하나는 복잡한 logic으로 운영되는 탑재 computer 장비와 아직도 완벽히 통제할 수 없는 기상 현상 때문이다. 항공기가 첨단화될수록 더 복잡한 절차의 운항이나 혹독한 기상에서 운항이 가능하지만 이와 비례하여 안전 운항에 대한 최종적인 의무를 부여받은 조종사들의 부담은 커져갈 수밖에 없는 것이 현실이다. 그러나 현재 우리나라의 과실이론은 현실적으로 빈번히 발생되고 있는 차량 사고나 의료 사고에 맞추어 발전하였기에 다양한 원천에서 발생하는 크고 작은 위협 환경을 갖고 있는 첨단의 항공 분야의 과실이론과 간극이 있다고 할 수 있다. 허용된 위험 이론을 고려해볼 때 현재 운항되고 있는 고속철이나 우주선은 이미 운용하는 인간의 능력을 초과하여 운행되고 있기에 첨단 분야에 적합한 과실이론이 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2007년 항소심 판결이 난 자동 조종 장치(autopilot)와 조종사 그리고 불상의 원인들이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생한 JAL 706 항공 판례를 중심으로 일본 항공 판례 및 우리 항공판례를 비교 검토하고 기존의 과실 이론을 비교하여 항공 사고에 적합한 과실이론을 제시하고자 한다. 우리 나라도 항공사고 특성의 하나인 복합성을 고려하여 사고 조사나 판결에서도 사고와 직접적으로 연결되지 않는 사항에 대하여 주의의무 위반 관계를 과감히 배제하는 것이 필요하다. 모든 구체적 사건을 포섭할 수 있는 완벽한 형법 이론이 존재하지 않지만 상당인과관계설은 구체적 사건에서 판단자의 평가 여하에 따라 서로 다른 결론에 도달할 수 있고 항공기는 때때로 조종사가 통제할 수 있는 영역을 넘어서 운항되는 고속화된 교통수단이고 인간과 computer 그리고 기상이 interface되어 운항되기에 일반적 교통사고의 이해를 적용하기에는 무리가 따르기에 우리나라의 항공사고에서 객관적 귀속의 척도 사용을 고려할 때가 되었다고 생각된다.

A hybrid algorithm for the synthesis of computer-generated holograms

  • A new approach to reduce the computation time of genetic algorithm (GA) for making binary phase holograms is described. Synthesized holograms having diffraction efficiency of 75.8% and uniformity of 5.8% are proven in computer simulation and experimentally demonstrated. Recently, computer-generated holograms (CGHs) having high diffraction efficiency and flexibility of design have been widely developed in many applications such as optical information processing, optical computing, optical interconnection, etc. Among proposed optimization methods, GA has become popular due to its capability of reaching nearly global. However, there exits a drawback to consider when we use the genetic algorithm. It is the large amount of computation time to construct desired holograms. One of the major reasons that the GA' s operation may be time intensive results from the expense of computing the cost function that must Fourier transform the parameters encoded on the hologram into the fitness value. In trying to remedy this drawback, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) has been put forward, allowing CGHs to be created easily and quickly (1), but the quality of reconstructed images is not high enough to use in applications of high preciseness. For that, we are in attempt to find a new approach of combiningthe good properties and performance of both the GA and ANN to make CGHs of high diffraction efficiency in a short time. The optimization of CGH using the genetic algorithm is merely a process of iteration, including selection, crossover, and mutation operators [2]. It is worth noting that the evaluation of the cost function with the aim of selecting better holograms plays an important role in the implementation of the GA. However, this evaluation process wastes much time for Fourier transforming the encoded parameters on the hologram into the value to be solved. Depending on the speed of computer, this process can even last up to ten minutes. It will be more effective if instead of merely generating random holograms in the initial process, a set of approximately desired holograms is employed. By doing so, the initial population will contain less trial holograms equivalent to the reduction of the computation time of GA's. Accordingly, a hybrid algorithm that utilizes a trained neural network to initiate the GA's procedure is proposed. Consequently, the initial population contains less random holograms and is compensated by approximately desired holograms. Figure 1 is the flowchart of the hybrid algorithm in comparison with the classical GA. The procedure of synthesizing a hologram on computer is divided into two steps. First the simulation of holograms based on ANN method [1] to acquire approximately desired holograms is carried. With a teaching data set of 9 characters obtained from the classical GA, the number of layer is 3, the number of hidden node is 100, learning rate is 0.3, and momentum is 0.5, the artificial neural network trained enables us to attain the approximately desired holograms, which are fairly good agreement with what we suggested in the theory. The second step, effect of several parameters on the operation of the hybrid algorithm is investigated. In principle, the operation of the hybrid algorithm and GA are the same except the modification of the initial step. Hence, the verified results in Ref [2] of the parameters such as the probability of crossover and mutation, the tournament size, and the crossover block size are remained unchanged, beside of the reduced population size. The reconstructed image of 76.4% diffraction efficiency and 5.4% uniformity is achieved when the population size is 30, the iteration number is 2000, the probability of crossover is 0.75, and the probability of mutation is 0.001. A comparison between the hybrid algorithm and GA in term of diffraction efficiency and computation time is also evaluated as shown in Fig. 2. With a 66.7% reduction in computation time and a 2% increase in diffraction efficiency compared to the GA method, the hybrid algorithm demonstrates its efficient performance. In the optical experiment, the phase holograms were displayed on a programmable phase modulator (model XGA). Figures 3 are pictures of diffracted patterns of the letter "0" from the holograms generated using the hybrid algorithm. Diffraction efficiency of 75.8% and uniformity of 5.8% are measured. We see that the simulation and experiment results are fairly good agreement with each other. In this paper, Genetic Algorithm and Neural Network have been successfully combined in designing CGHs. This method gives a significant reduction in computation time compared to the GA method while still allowing holograms of high diffraction efficiency and uniformity to be achieved. 탄자니아의 태양광 발전소와 통합된 전기 모빌리티 운영 시스템 : 비전과 시범운행 (Smart Electric Mobility Operating System Integrated with Off-Grid Solar Power Plants in Tanzania: Vision and Trial Run)

  • 전 세계적인 지구온난화의 위협에 대응하고자 세계 각국은 신재생 에너지의 확산, 탄소 배출 감소 등을 추진하고 있다. 또한, UN의 SDGs에도 포함된 기후변화에 맞서기 위한 노력으로 글로벌 자동차 제조사들은 향후 10년내에 전기 자동차로의 전면 전환을 추진하고 있다. 전기자동차는 탄소 배출 감소를 위한 유용한 수단이 될 수 있으나, 충전용 전기를 생산하는 단계에서 발생하는 탄소의 저감을 위해서는 친환경 신재생 에너지를 이용한 발전시스템이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 아프리카 탄자니아에 설립된 태양광 발전소와 통합된 스마트 전기 모빌리티 운영 시스템에 대한 비전을 제안한다. 아두이노 컴퓨팅 장치를 기반으로 하는 스마트 모니터링 및 통신 기능을 적용하여 전기자동차 또는 전기 오토바이의 배터리 잔존용량, 배터리 상태, 위치, 속도, 고도, 도로 상태 등의 정보를 모니터링한다. 또한, 주변의 독립형 태양광 발전소 인프라와 통신하여 주행가능거리를 예측하고 충전 스케쥴 및 목적지까지의 경로 최적화를 수행하는 시나리오를 제시한다. 제안된 시스템의 구현 가능성은 전기 오토바이의 시험운행을 통해 검증되었다. 탄자니아에서 운영될 전기 모빌리티 시스템은 현지의 환경과 특성을 고려하여 친환경성, 경제성, 운용 용이성, 호환성 등의 요소가 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 스마트 전기 모빌리티 운영 시스템은 SDGs의 이행을 위한 중요한 기반이 될 수 있을 것이다.
