2024 Al 합금의 ECAP 공정에 따른 미세조직 변화와 강도특성 (Microstructures and Mechanical Behavior of 2024 Al Alloys Deformed by Equal Channel Angular Pressing)

  • 2024 Al alloys were severely deformed by equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) to obtain an ultrafine grain structure. The more deformation amount increased, the more grain size decreased. Most of the grain structure were changed from elongated to equiaxed shape with increasing pass number. The morphology of S' phases was also changed from rod-type to spherical type. The grain size of 6 passed specimen was 100 to 200 nm, and the size of S' phases was about 10 nm in the microstructure. XRD measurements have revealed that the texture formed by plastic deformation disappeared in the 6 passed specimen. SP test results described that the start of crack propagation occurred at the transition zone between plastic bending and membrane stretching because of small elongation. The maximum strength of ECA pressed specimen increased 1.9 GPa to 2.9 GPa with increasing pass number.

오버레이용접된 Wrapping Roll의 비드마크제거를 위한 열영향부의 미세조직에 관한 연구 (The Study on Microstructure of the Heat Affected Zone for Removing of Beadmark in the Overlayered Wrapping Roll)

  • In case of overalyered wrapping roll, beadmark shape appear at wrapping roll surface due to irregular wear between weld bead. Irregular wear of this is caused by difference of hardness between weld bead. This study aims at investigating which matrix is good for removing of beadmark at wrapping roll surface. So, we make specimen with martensitic matrix and austenitic matrix. The overlayered alloys were deposited 4 times on a SS41 steel plate using self-shielding flux cored arc welding method. Difference of hardness between weld bead of specimen with matrix of martensite was higher than specimen with matrix of austenite both as-welded and after heat treatment. Therefore, austenitic matrix is between than martensitic matrix for removing of beadmark of wrapping roll surface.

  • Results of an experimental investigation of low-rise reinforced concrete shear walls with barbell cross section under cyclic loads are discussed and evaluated. Four halr scale models of test specimens with height to length ratio of 0.75 were experimented. The dimension of all walls is 1500mm wide $\times$ 950 mm high $\times$ 100 mm thick and the section of all boundary column at both ends is 200 mm $\times$ 200mm. Main variables are : design concept, vertical flexural reinflrcement ratios and reinforcement details(including crossed diagonal shear reinforcement in SW7 specimen). In SW7 specimen, maximum strength and consequently dissipating energy index were 1.45 and 1.28 times greater than those of SW6 specimen, respectively.

WL-RDCB 시편의 동적 균열전파속도와 동적 응력확대계수 (Dynamic Stress Intensity Factors and Dynamic Crack Propagation Velocities in Polycarbonate WL-RDCB Specimen)

  • Dynamic fracture characteristics of Polycarbonate WL-RDCB specimen were investigated. The dynamic crack propagation velocities in these specimens were measured by using both high speed camera system and silver paint grid method developed and justified in the INHA Fracture Mechanics Laboratory. The measured crack propagation velocities were fed into the INSAMCR code(a dynamic finite element code which has been developed in the INBA Fracture Mechanics Laboratory) to extract the dynamic stress intensity factors. It has been confirmed that both dynamic crack arrest toughness and the static crack arrest toughness depend on both the geometry and the dynamic crack propagation velocity of specimens. The maximum dynamic crack propagation velocity of Polycarbonate WL-RDCB specimen was found to be dependent on the material property, geometry and the type of loading. The dynamic cracks in these Polycarbonate WL-RDCB specimens seemed to propagate in a successive manner, involving distinguished 'propagation-arrest-propagation-arrest' steps on the microsecond time scale. It was also found that the relat-ionship between dynamic stress intensity factor and dynamic crack propagation velocities might be represented by the typical '$\Gamma$'shape.

Hybrid infrared-visible multiview correlation to study damage in a woven composite complex-shaped specimen

  • In this study, a cyclic tensile test on a notched butterfly specimen made of woven glass fiber composite was performed on a modified Arcan fixture. During the mechanical test, the sample was monitored with a hybrid stereoscopic system comprised of two visible lights and one infrared camera. The visible light cameras were employed for kinematic measurements using a finite-element-based multiview correlation technique. A semi-hybrid correlation approach was followed, providing Lagrangian temperature fields of the Region of Interest. Due to the complex composite architecture and specimen shape, localized shearing was observed during the tensile loading. Furthermore, asymmetrical damage developed around the notches as revealed by localized strains and thermal hot spots.

옹이 형태별 소재의 압축강도 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation for the Compressive Strength of Member According to the Knot Types)

  • 구조용 목재부재의 성능 예측에 가장 큰 영향을 끼치는 옹이를 활용하여 유한요소 수치해석을 실시하였다. 다른 구조용 재료와 달리 목재의 경우 직교이방성을 나타내기 때문에 이를 적용하였고 옹이를 실린더 형태, 원추형 형태, 육면체 형태로 모델화 하였다. 목재 부재에 대해 실제 압축강도실험을 실시하여 그 파괴형태를 파악하고 최대강도값을 계산하였으며, 각 부재의 치수와 옹이의 크기, 위치, 개수를 반영한 수치해석 모델을 제작하여 유한요소해석을 실시하였다. 실험에서 얻어진 최대압축강도를 적용한 수치해석을 실시하여 옹이자료에 따른 각 부재의 응력분포형태를 파악하고 이를 실제 부재의 파괴형태와 비교 분석하였다. 수치해석에 소요되는 시간이나 요수 분할의 어려움, 옹이 주위의 응력 전달의 유사성 등에 기준했을 때 실린더 형태의 요소가 가장 타당하다고 판단되었다. 또한 응력 분포 모양과 변형 분포 모양을 비교한 경우 유한 요소 수치해석의 결과에서 응력이 가장 집중되는 부분과 변형이 가장 심하게 발생한 주위에서 실제 시편의 파괴나 균열이 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 기초로 유한요소 수치해석법을 직교이방성과 옹이 모델링을 적절히 적용할 경우 휨응력을 받는 부재와 인장 응력을 받는 부재 등의 성능 해석에 유용한 수단으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

치과용 Co-Cr sinter metal의 소결 후 변형비교 (Observation of Shape after sinter of Dental Co-Cr sinter metal)

  • Purpose: Currently advanced in Dental CAD/CAM technology increase a use of Co-Cr sinter metal block at Dental CAD/CAM part traditionally it has been being used with metal casting method. There is an advantage that can leave out a step of investment and casting as well as reducing a working time to compare with conventional casting method in a dry milling. Methods: In this research, compare a deformation of before and after sinter result of Co-Cr sinter metal block. Design a specimen figure by 3D CAD software and transformed it to a STL file can be used at Dental CAD/CAM. With a transformed STL file, milled a Co-Cr sinter metal specimen by using a Dental CAD/CAM dry milling machine. It arrived at the following conclusions after measuring an outer form and thickness of a machined specimen and then after sinter measure it again in a way of before sinter measurement method. Results: It is confirmed that there is no error while a 3D design figure specimen is transformed to a Dental CAD data. It is observed that there is no error at Co-Cr sinter metal specimen which consider a length of single coping and bridge. Conclusion: It is observed that there is no deformation at a specimen of AS05 and AB05 are made of 0,5mm thickness. On the other hand, the out of range of deformation is observed at a specimen of AS10 and AB10 which are made of 1mm thickness.

The Influence of Contact Shape on the Slip Regime in Contact-induced Failure

  • The variation of contact traction induced by different contact shapes is studied experimentally and theoretically. Considerations fer the contact shape are rounded, truncated and truncated with rounding punches. A fretting wear experiment is conducted with the contact configuration of the strip on the tube specimens. The strip specimen is pressed to form the end profile of a rounded and truncated with rounding punches shape. Wear on the tube is investigated, which is regarded as the slip region of the contact surface. Taken into consideration is the general solution of the normal traction in the case of the indentation by a punch with its end profile of the combination of parabolas. Then, partial slip solution is obtained numerically, which is compared with the wear on the tube. The radius of the rounding and the obliquity of the edge truncation affect the tractions considerably. It is found that the proper choice of the end profile can restrain the contact-induced failure such aswear.

  • The sensitivity method has been applied to find perform shape that results in the desired shape after forging. As a 2D example, initial shape of specimen for the cylinder shape without barrelling after forging has been found. The method is then applied to various shapes of 3D free forging and initial shapes of the corresponding specimens after forging have been found successfully. The sensitivity method is proven to be an effective and accurate tool for the preform design.

선재압연공정의 소재 자유표면 형상예측 (Prediction of Stress Free Surface Profile of Wrokpiece in Rod Rolling Process)

  • A reliable analytic model that determines the cross sectional shape of a workpiece(material) in round-oval(or oval-round) pass sequence has been developed. the cross sectional shape of an outgoing workpiece is predicted by using the linear interpolation of the radius of curvature of an incoming workpiece and that of roll groove to the roll axis direction. The requirements we placed on the choice of the weighting function were to ensure boundary conditions specified. The validity of the analytic model has been examined by hot rod rolling experiment with the roll gap and specimen size changed. The cross sectional shape and area of a workpiece predicted by the proposed analytic model were good agreement with those obtained experimentally. It was found that the analytic model has not only simplicity and accuracy for practical usage but also save a large amount of computational time compared with finite element method.
