  • The purpose of this paper is to present author's experience with 6 cases of ruptured aneurysm of sinus of Valsalva which were treated surgically during last 10 years. Among the 6 cases, 5 were male and one was female. All of them originated from the right coronary sinus and 5 cases were ruptured into the RV while remained one into RA. The diagnosis was obtained in 4 cases by cineangiocardiogram. Clinically, we had difficulties in differential diagnosis with combined cases of VSD with A.I. and had special experience in its differentiation during cardiac catheterization. By simultaneous trans-venous and trans-arterial catheterization, identified two catheter tips in the RV, and pull back tracing obtained aortic pressure directly from RV, and RA from RV pressure which were benefit in confirm ruptured aneurysm of the aortic sinus. Surgical correction was performed by means of direct suture closure or combined Teflon pledget Of patch enforcement graft after aneurysm resection by trans-RA or trans-RV approach. All patients had no history of bacterial endocarditis, syphilis, or tuberculosis and operative findings revealed intact coronary sinus except involved one moreover 3 cases combined with high VSD which uggested congenital in origin although pathologic reports revealed only fibrosis. Post-operative course were uneventful in all cases but one who had bleeding and 2 months to 9 years follow up results were good and spend their usual life in all cases.

  • The author has observed the orthopantomograms of the maxillary sinus which were taken by special exposure method to study mesiodistal dimension, shape, symmetrical relationship, bony septum of the maxillary sinus and relationship between upper. 1st molar and the maxillary sinus, that were selected 56 cases of 23 to 27 years old male, who have good. systemic conditions and no missing teeth on upper posterior molar in normal occlusion, and obtained following conclusions: 1. Mesiodistal dimensions of the maxillary sinus are shown as follows; The mean of left dimension is 50.94±8.34㎜ and of right dimension is 49.50±9.87㎜. 2. To the shape of the maxillary sinus, V or U shape are 33cases(29.5%) and W shape are 77 cases(70.5%). 3. In the ralationship between upper 1st molar and floor of the maxllary sinus, superimposition are 62 cases (55.36%) and aproach are 50 cases (44.64%). 4. In the right and left symmetrical relationship of the maxillary sinus, symmetry are 37cases (66.07%) and asymmetry are 19 cases (33.93%). 5. The bony septums in the maxillary sinuses revealed that presence of bony septums are 29 cases (25.8%) and absence are 83 cases (74.11%).

  • We provide a simple basic method to find bounds for higher order moments of unimodal distributions in terms of lower order moments when the random variable takes value in a given finite real interval. The bounds for moments in terms of the geometric mean of the distribution are also derived. Both continuous and discrete cases are considered. The bounds for the ratio and difference of moments are obtained. The special cases provide refinements of several well-known inequalities, such as Kantorovich inequality and Krasnosel'skii and Krein inequality.

  • When applying capacitors to distribution line, an effort must be made to determine the economic benefits resulting from the installation of a capacitor. There have been many papers and articles published on the economics of capacitors. Most of these are special cases, or have so many qualifications that they are not much use for other cases unless very careful attention is given to minute details. A general economic analysis on a distribution line is very complicated problem. Consequently, a diagram solution is illustrated for determining the economic condenser and applying resonably well for the distribution line with any load division.

  • The aim of this paper is to derive a fractional derivative of the multivariable H-function of Srivastava and Panda [7], associated with a general class of multivariable polynomials of Srivastava [4] and the generalized Lauricella functions of Srivastava and Daoust [9]. Certain special cases have also been discussed. The results derived here are of a very general nature and hence encompass several cases of interest hitherto scattered in the literature.

  • Consider the inverse bin-packing number problem. Given a set of items and a prescribed number K of bins, the inverse bin-packing number problem, IBPN for short, is concerned with determining the minimum perturbation to the item-size vector so that all the items can be packed into K bins or less. It is known that this problem is NP-hard (Chung, 2012). In this paper, we investigate some special cases of IBPN that can be solved in polynomial time. We propose an optimal algorithm for solving the IBPN instances with two distinct item sizes and the instances with large items.

  • In this article, we introduce a new integral operator involving normalized Bessel functions of the first kind and we obtain a set of sufficient conditions for univalence. Our results contain some interesting corollaries as special cases. Further, as particular cases, we improve some of the univalence conditions proved in [2].

  • Gastric contents and blood samples are generally analyzed for the detection of the Drug-toxic substances(DTS) in the postmortem specimens, but tissue specimens from postmortem for the detection of the DTS are, especially, required in the cases that analysis of DTS in blood or gastric contents is impossible because of insufficient or inaccessible specimens in special cases. • In this paper, we first establish an interesting theorem involving the $\bar{H}$-function introduced by Inayat-Hussain ([7], [8]). The convergence and existence condition, basic properties of this function were given by Buschman and Srivastava ([2]). Next, we obtain certain new integrals and an expansion formula by the application of our theorem. On account of the most general nature of the functions involved herein, our main findings are capable of yielding a large number of new, interesting and useful integrals, expansion formulae involving simple special functions and polynomials as their special cases. A known special case of our main theorem in also given ([11]).
