도심 도보관광자의 계절별 시·공간 이동밀도 및 멈춤 특성 - 북촌한옥마을의 봄·여름 관광자들을 대상으로 - (Spatiotemporal Movement Density and Stopping Characteristics of Urban Walking Tourists by Season - Focused on Tourists of Bukchon Hanok Village in the Spring and Summer -)

  • 본 연구는 계절에 따라 도심 도보관광자들의 시 공간 이동밀도 및 멈춤 특성 분석을 주요 연구목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 서울 북촌한옥마을을 연구대상지로 선정하고, GPS 기반 스마트폰 어플리케이션을 활용하여 도심 도보관광자들의 시 공간 행태 데이터를 수집하였다. 이에 기초하여 본 연구는 GIS와 통계적 접근방법을 이용하여 봄, 여름 도심 도보관광자들의 시 공간 이동행태를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과, 도심 도보관광자들의 이동 및 체류특성은 계절별로 통계적 차이가 검증되었다. ArcGIS를 이용하여 도심 도보관광자의 시 공간적 이동밀도와 멈춤 특성을 분석한 결과, 대상지로의 중심 접근로와 상업공간에 있어 공간적 시간적 집중성이 확인되었다. 도심 도보관광관련 정책입안자나 개발자들은 본 연구결과의 시 공간 밀집도를 활용하여 도보관광지의 수용력 조절이나 관광자들의 공간적 혹은 시간적 분산정책 수립에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • The following study reviewed the walking patterns of stroke patients with hemiplegia, which is called hemiplegic gait of stroke patients. Focusing is given to the changes in the distance and temporal factors of walking, which is called spatiotemporal characteristics, throughout the walking cycle. First, we introduced the definitions of essential terms related to gait and its measure. Second, we reviewed the spatiotemporal characteristics of hemiplegic gait. A main issue was that hemiplegic gait showed significant deviations from normal healthy gait. Although hemiplegia is primarily associated with unilateral motor disorder, changes in almost all spatiotemporal parameters used to assess walking were evident on both the involved and uninvolved sides of the body. Last, we reviewed the changes of spatiotemporal parameters of hemiplegic gait according to the prognosis or status of stroke patients, which may help to give a specific intervention for rehabilitation of stroke.

Effect of Deep Lumbar Muscle Stabilization Exercise on the Spatiotemporal Walking Ability of Stroke Patients

  • Background: Walking is a complex activity. The main components of walking include balance, coordination, and symmetrical posture. The characteristics of walking patterns of stroke patients include slow walking, measured by gait cycle and walking speed. This is an important factor that reflects post-stroke quality of life and walking ability. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of deep lumbar muscle stabilization exercise on the spatiotemporal walking ability of stroke patients. Design: Quasi-experial study Methods: The experiment was conducted 5 times per week for 4 weeks, with 30 minutes per session, on 10 subjects in the experimental group who performed the deep lumbar muscle stabilization exercise and 10 subjects in the control group who performed a regular exercise. Variables that represent the spatiotemporal walking ability (step length, stride length, step rate, and walking speed) were measured using GAITRrite before and after the experiment and were analyzed. Results: There was a significant difference in the pre- and post-exercise spatiotemporal walking ability between the two groups (p<.05). Furthermore, there was a significant difference in the step rate and walking speed between the two groups (p<.05). Conclusions: Deep lumbar muscle stabilization exercise is effective in improving the walking ability of stroke patients. Therefore, its application will help improve the spatiotemporal walking ability of stroke patients.

네트워크 분석 기법을 이용한 항적 데이터의 시공간적 특징 분석 (Spatiotemporal Analysis of Vessel Trajectory Data using Network Analysis)

  • 최근 해상교통 환경의 변화가 다양해지고, 해상 교통량이 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 해상교통 분석에 대한 요구가 다양해지고 있다. 이러한 해상교통 분석 작업은 교통 특성에 대한 모델링이 선행되어야 하지만, 기존의 방법은 자동화되어 있지 않아 전처리 작업에 시간이 많이 소요되고, 분석 결과에 작업자의 주관적인 견해가 포함될 수 있는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 해상교통 분석을 위한 자동화된 교통 네트워크 생성 방법을 제안하였으며, 활용 가능성을 검토하기 위해 실제 목포항에서 수집된 6개월간의 항적 데이터를 이용한 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 대상 해역의 교통 특성을 반영한 교통 네트워크를 자동으로 생성할 수 있었으며, 대용량의 항적 데이터에도 적용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 생성된 교통 네트워크는 시공간적 특징 분석이 가능하여 다양한 해상교통 분석에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • We measure the spatiotemporal wall charge distributions on sustain and address electrodes during reset period in an ac PDP cell using the longitudinal electro-optic amplitude modulation method. We apply several reset waveforms like as ramp, exponentially growing and high voltage pulse, and compare the wall charge characteristics on address electrode as well as sustain electrodes for each reset waveforms.

Taxi-demand forecasting using dynamic spatiotemporal analysis

  • Taxi-demand forecasting and hotspot prediction can be critical in reducing response times and designing a cost effective online taxi-booking model. Taxi demand in a region can be predicted by considering the past demand accumulated in that region over a span of time. However, other covariates-like neighborhood influence, sociodemographic parameters, and point-of-interest data-may also influence the spatiotemporal variation of demand. To study the effects of these covariates, in this paper, we propose three models that consider different covariates in order to select a set of independent variables. These models predict taxi demand in spatial units for a given temporal resolution using linear and ensemble regression. We eventually combine the characteristics (covariates) of each of these models to propose a robust forecasting framework which we call the combined covariates model (CCM). Experimental results show that the CCM performs better than the other models proposed in this paper.

발의 형태학적 특성에 따른 시공간 보행 변인과 하지의 기능 및 통증 차이 (Differences in Spatiotemporal Gait Parameters and Lower Extremity Function and Pain in Accordance with Foot Morphological Characteristics)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the differences in spatiotemporal gait performance, function, and pain of lower-extremity according to foot morphological characteristics. Method: This case-control study recruited 42 adults and they were classified into 3 groups according to foot morphology using navicular-drop test: pronated (≥ 10 mm), normal (5~9 mm), and supinated (≤ 4 mm) feet. Spatiotemporal gait analysis and questionnaires including Foot and Ankle Ability Measure activities of daily living / Sports, Western Ontario and McMasters Universities Osteoarthritis Index, Lower Extremity Functional Scale, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and Tegner activity score were conducted. One-way analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis. Results: The pronated feet group showed longer loading response and double limb support in both feet and increased pre-swing phase in non-dominant feet. The supinated feet group demonstrated a longer swing phase in non-dominant feet and single limb support in dominant feet. However, there was no significant group difference in function and pain of knee joint and lower-extremity between groups. Conclusion: Our results indicated that abnormal spatiotemporal gait performance according to foot morphology. Although there was no difference in lower extremity dysfunction and pain according to the difference in foot morphology, they have the possibility of symptom occurs as a result of continuous participation in activities of daily living and sports. Therefore, individuals with pronated or supinated foot should be supplemented by utilizing an orthosis or training to restore normal gait performance.

Spatiotemporal Location Fingerprint Generation Using Extended Signal Propagation Model

  • Fingerprinting is a widely used positioning technology for received signal strength (RSS) based wireless local area network (WLAN) positioning system. Though spatial RSS variation is the key factor of the positioning technology, temporal RSS variation needs to be considered for more accuracy. To deal with the spatial and temporal RSS characteristics within a unified framework, this paper proposes an extended signal propagation mode (ESPM) and a fingerprint generation method. The proposed spatiotemporal fingerprint generation method consists of two algorithms running in parallel; Kalman filtering at several measurement-sampling locations and Kriging to generate location fingerprints at dense reference locations. The two different algorithms are connected by the extended signal propagation model which describes the spatial and temporal measurement characteristics in one frame. An experiment demonstrates that the proposed method provides an improved positioning accuracy.

디지털미디어를 이용한 디자인에 있어서 시공간 구조의 문제 (Problems of Spatiotemporal Structure in the Digital Design)

  • 현대디자인의 변모에 가장 커다란 변화를 예고하고 전개하는 것이 바로 정보혁명에 기초한 멀티미디어의 등장이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현금(現今)의 뉴미디어로서 디지털의 개념과 특성을 구체적으로 살펴보기 위해 변화된 환경에서 새로운 디자인 모델의 창출방법을 비교 분석하고 정보양식에 근거한 커뮤니케이션의 변화를 조망하고자 하였으며 디지털과 아날로그 속성의 비교분석과 디지털 개념과 특성을 구체화하기 위하여 디지털 미디어의 가장 커다란 특성이길 할 수 있는 ‘가상성(virtual reality)’과 ‘상호작용성(interaction)’에 대한 이론적 근거를 도출하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 위에서 언급된 문제점을 바탕으로 디지털디자인에서 나타나는 시공간구조의 새로운 해석방법으로 본 연구의 타당성을 입증하고자 하였다.
